"I don't understand that," Benjamin said. "You were allowed to leave confinement, so they should start your therapies again. Are they still afraid of you?" It didn't seem professional they would just ignore Ray like that, but he thought he'd give them the benefit of the doubt: maybe the current sessions were full and they had to wait for an opening before she could join in a group session.
He continued walking to his room with Ray, he too looked back to see if the spirits were still there. His eyes rested on Ari for a moment, after which he faced forward again. He would be lying if he'd say he wasn't nervous, Ari was supposed to be the dangerous spirit and he would be close to her for a while. At least Dia was there. And Ray of course.
Marc gently put a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay," he said, taking his hand away again. "I know a good place for a drink, it's not far from here." He looked around in the hall, most were done and leaving. "I'm going to help Carol to the common room and give her a nice window seat. We'll talk later." He gave a short wave and walked to the catatonic patient to help her out of her seat.
