Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

When the doors opened Andy left the elevator and entered the corridor, the walls beige with horizontal orange stripes painted on it to have a some colour. A notice board hung halfway and Andy quickly examined it before continuing, nothing new had been added since the morning.
He stopped in front of the 4th door and opened it. "Come in," he said, leaving the door open for his guest as he stepped inside himself. "Close the door behind you, will you?"

The walls in the hallway were white with some pictures of family members and on a hatrack were four sculptures of saints. Andy led him to the living room with several masks covering the yellow wall next to a large window, and a large painting of the African savanna on the wall next to an open door giving access to a corridor with a few doors. A round table of light birch was surrounded by four chairs and a light oak sofa and seat set with a matching coffeetable made up the television corner. A tall bookcase in a similar light wood covered most of the last free wall.

"That is where the toilet, bathroom and bedrooms are," Andy said as he gestured ahead. "The kitchen is behind the door in the hall," he added, gesturing to where they had come from. "What do you want to do first, check out your bed or talk about whatever is on your mind right now?"

As Benjamin played he glanced at Steph a few times, he was glad to see her relaxed and happy. A lot had happened the day before and today, it was good to have a breather now. Maybe it could stay a while this way, there weren't many missions that required his expertise, but he still had the files he had to look through, that was something he'd keep himself busy with for the rest of the day. For now he just wanted to play the sax.

When the person operating the drone picked up the agents position he relayed the coordinates to the sniper team. Keeping an eye on the trees above and an eye on the road ahead, the moved in that direction, keeping a close formation.
They moved through the webbed forest, carefully avoiding the web. After one of them had got his arm stuck in the sticky web they knew to be careful with it. After the success with the flare they kept those within hands reach, but they walked with their gun pulled.
"Careful now," the leader said when they were getting close. "We'll have to move in and take out the enemy fast. Everyone ready?"
After getting confirmations, he gave the sign to move forward with his hand.
When he was no longer thirsty, Benjamin returned to the table he had been sitting. He looked at the drawing, then at Dia, and blew some air through his lips. "Let's go," he said as he picked the drawing up. "This place only makes me miss Simon. I'm glad you're with me, because this place," he made a gesture with his arm to show the common room, "is depressing. Simon may have been hearing things that weren't there, at least he was always happy."

Marc looked at Josh and shook his head. "No, nothing. I'm going to check on Carol, pick up Sara and head out." He took Josh's shoulder. "I have a date tonight," he confided, before letting the man go again and walk away. If it wouldn't be so out of place here he'd start whistling, but Marc didn't give in to the urge.
I don't have critique ready, but my vote gies to @GeekFactor
"Oh, ehm..." what Mindy hadn't expected was him to be so happy about a simple tube scarf. The last thing she had expected was to be hugged for it. "It was my pleasure," she said, placing her hands at his side to somewhat return the hug. "I'm glad you like it." He did have a special scent though, maybe it were the unwashed clothes, but it wasn't a bad smell. She had never been so close to anyone to that she could smell them.
She slowly freed herself from the hug. "Let's had back to the center than," she said with a shy smile.

Penalopy's eyes lit up when Dausiin mentioned Mew was with Gavin. That meant she could see Mew and play with her soon. She let out a small squeak that sounded like a melody, but she became more serious when Dausiin mentioned the human again.
"You can invite him, I'd like to meet him. But I may choose my own human if you really believe we need them for our safety." She glanced back to Gavin and her jaw dropped. She grabbed Dausiins head to make him look at Gavin. "Look! He's hugging her!"

"No way," James said as he too looked at it. "Fez! Look!"

Whitney nodded at Niccia's remark. "Just do what makes you and your Pokémon happy. Some people have a predetermined idea about what it means to be a trainer, but don't let anyone dictate you what to do."

Michael grinned like a child getting candy when Niccia praised him, that was even better than getting the badge. He hadn't felt he had done a particular good job as a trainer, but they had won. He knelt down next to Missy and stroke the fur on her back. "Well done, girl. Would you like to rest in your Pokéball now."

Saruya nudged Harry with her head. "You are still my handsome Arcanine," she told him. She gave him a small lick on the snout and started running back to the city. They would have to locate their trainers, but with their keen smelling that would be no problem. The new look would surprise or maybe even shock Niccia, but she was sure Niccia would accept it as quickly as she had accepted Soul's new look.

"I try to be," Andy stated with a grin, going to the door of the café. "So, it's time for you to hydrate with warm scented water and for Mitch and me to give in to our coffee addiction. I think with everything a man can be addicted to, it might as well be coffee." He looked at the Delibird. "Right?"

"Why does that make you worried?" Kim whispered, looking at Mitch. The hint of worry in his voice also showed in his eyes. She noticed Andy had stopped in front of the building and was looking back at them, but she hadn't really been paying attention to what he had said.
"You need a lot of room for building model cities, but I love looking at those small-scale buildings or cities." Benjamin stroke the metal of his sax and brought the mouthpiece to his mouth to play another tune, something improvised, a bit of jazz. He could get used to this life, doing some jobs, helping people, sitting back with friends. Spending time with Steph...

When the web strung around his mouth he didn't have time to shout, but the sniper didn't let fear get the better of him. Reaching to a holster he grabbed a flare-gun and aimed it up. Pulling the trigger he shot a red flare into the tree.
The others reacted to that and drew closer to each other, all aiming their rifles at their surroundings. "Careful," the team leader said. "Keep your eyes on the trees and each other."
The drone still flew over the forest in search of the agent.
After Andy opened the door for them he gestured to metal doors on the other way of the entrance hall. "We're taking the elevator," he said. "I live on the third floor and I don't feel like walking up the stairs." He went over to it and pushed the button that would call the elevator.

It didn't take long before the metal doors slid open and revealed the compartment inside. According to the image there was room for eight, but in reality five could stand there comfortably. After Andy went inside he waited for Alastor to join him and pushed the button with the 3 on it. The doors closed and the elevator started rising to the third floor. It wasn't as smooth as some of the modern ones, but it moved without problems.

Andy glanced aside to see if the Laizu was doing okay. He used elevators on a daily basis, but that didn't mean his new friend was used to this kind of transportation.
"Well..." Mindy began as she gave it some thought, "maybe now that you have a new set of clothes you could put them on and wash the dirty clothes in the Pokémon Center." She showed a fabric with dark-purple and light-grey pattern on, still wrapped in a plastic package. "I also got you this, it's a tube scarf, they are really versatile, you can use it to keep your neck warm, but you can also turn it into a hat, or, well, there is lots you can do with it, there are some instructions inside the package. If you travel outside a lot it's a convenient thing to have."

Penalopy looked at Dausiin and for a moment it seemed she was sceptical about it, but she soon showed a happy face. "I'd love to meet him~ But I want to catch up with Mew first, I know she's close. It's been soooo long~" She wrapped her arms around James. "Remeber me and her playing tag and watching the humans from that mountain village from a distance? She always loved humans as much as I do~"
"I remember," James said. "But it really wasn't that long-"
"Dausiin, do you know where she is?" Penalopy asked, not waiting for James to finish his sentence.

"Yeah, we did," Michael said.
Whitney joined them and presented two badges. "There you go," she said. "You earned them! Are you going for the league?"
Michael took one of the badges and looked at the gym leader. "Probably not."
"Well, you don't have to, of course," Whitney said. "I know some trainers who only collect bagdes of a certain type to prove for themselves they are a master of their favourite type, and they never get the amount of badges needed for a league in any region. Being a trainer is more than doing the league and everyone has to fill in for themselves what they want to do and how they want to accomplish that."

"I'm feeling better, yes," Saruya said as she got up. "Let's go back, Michael and Niccia need to know what happened."
While she knew it would worry them, they couldn't keep this to themselves. "Despite what that female Mightyena said, I'm certain they or others will be back at one point. We need to train and get stronger before that happens."

Andy led the group to the place he had seen. "You know," he said as they were walking, "we only just met, but I can already tell you are much better company than Gavin. I like the guy, although he is a bit serious, but he doesn't have your looks. I may have to tell him he's not my favourite anymore, although I don't think it will disappoint him, he might actually be relieved." He grinned. "Like the Pokémon professor I work for, Maple, she likes it when I go on long journeys for research."

Kim nodded to show she understood. "Like how Pokémon sometimes accept surrogate parents, another who is not of their species but who took care of them. They will call them mother or father, even if they technically aren't. I saw it with humans too, parenthood isn't always decided by who created someone."
Poor Marc though, people dislike him and he's only doing his job, trying to help the patients.
Benjamin looked up when Dia spoke and scowled when he noticed Marc, he did not like that guy. In the short time he had been here he already had a few run-ins with him and so far the only things he had heard from him was about taking his meds and staying away from Ray.
"He's been here since the morning, he'll probably go home soon." He looked at the drinking fountain. "I'm going to drink a bit."

Walking through the common room the passiveness of everything became more apparent. People were doing nothing. Only when patients had an episode of something they broke the general apathy with screaming or jerking or however such an episode manifested itself. How he started to hate this place. He drank some water with his back to the nurses.

"Yes, we have to keep an eye on those two," Marc said, watching Benjamin go to the water fountain. It was good he was keeping hydrated, some patients had to be reminded to drink. It showed that despite his delusions he was still sane enough to take care of his needs.
