Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

Doing this RP made me realise something: I don't do romance playing female characters very well. I keep thinking about Mindy and Gavin and how we can move forward their thing, but when I write her being interested in Gavin it feels bland and forced for me.

For some reason writing the male in an FxM is easy for me. With MxM I also never had issues. But trying to write the female is somehow a lot harder for me. You'd think being one would make it easier, but no. It feels a bit awkward for me and I don't know why, but that's how it is.

In our dragon riders RP, I like Rachel, but I don't see her pairing up with one of guys. Meria likewise, she has an off-screen husband somewhere so she doesn't have to be romantically available.

In short, I suck at writing females in romantic pairings, and I hope you won't mind if we would move away from pairing Mindy with Gavin. They can still have that crush, and I'd still like Gavin to be awestruck when Mindy shows her new dress, but if you agree I'd rather not built it into a long-term relationship.

I'm sorry, I know you were looking forward to pair Gavin with a girl :(
The first entry is already in. There is still a lot of October to go, so plenty of time left to write.
"I wanted to say," James said, "that it's up to none of us to decide what Niccia can deal with or when we should talk about it. While I agree that a blissful ignorance won't serve a purpose in the long run, making her worried during Starfall about something that may not happen is perhaps not needed. If Darkrai will show up, we can help Niccia. If he doesn't, she doesn't need to worry about hi,"

Penalopy hugged James. "You always have good things to say~ That's why you are my guardian!"

As Michael bought a coffee from the vending machine, Mindy went into her room to change into the dress she had bought. It was nice to dress up for once; travelling around she didn't have many opportunities to do so, unless she entered a contest.
After putting on the dress, she brushed her hair and put a ribbon in it. With all that done she called her Dunsparce with her.
"What do you think?" she asked as she turned around.
"Dunsparce!" The Dunsparce replied, nodding.

Andy turned to the person who had greeted him. Definitely a legendary Pokémon in human disguise. "You are not making it difficult for me. Humans don't greet each other with 'human'. I guess you're here for Starfall too, right?"

Merlin watched the man below. He tilted his head to the left, then to the right. This one looked familiar. The colours, the hairstyle. Could this... be the one he had talked with on that day Andy had met Frosiien? The one who had knocked Varina out of his hands with a shadow ball.

At this moment Michael emerged from the Pokémon center to give his uncle some coffee.
"Coffee! You are my favourite nephew, you know that?"
"I'm your only nephew," Michael reminded him.
The hug felt great and it was over too soon. Benjamin watched Dia leave, but then quickly went to the place the meal would be served and chose a table to sit. He got scolded for being late, but he didn't listen to that. They could scold him all they wanted, he didn't care. They put pills on the table, but he ignored it. He already had taken some that day, just to get out of that cell. Once was enough.

"This way," Marc said and he led the way to the cash-out point. "Here, you can have mine. Count the number of tickets you have and then you can pick something worth that amount. All the prices are labelled, so you can just tell the man what you want and any spare tickets you can keep for the next time."

She saw it, didn't she? He watched her apologize and stumble around and undo her buckle and telling him to leave and apologize again and fall. It was all very confusing. He wanted to help her, but she had requested he'd leave, and the most important thing was to honour someone wishes. Especially in this area. At least she had fallen in pillows.
"Right, sorry," Benjamin said as he went to the door. "If you need me, I'll be in my room."

He stepped outside and closed the door behind him. One thing was certain: she was not ready. Was he? He knew how he felt about her and if he was honest with himself he wouldn't mind something more to come from it, but all in due time.

Benjamin walked back to his room and looked at the files. He still needed to finish those; he might as well continue reading them now.

"I haven't planned anything in particular." Rudrig said as he looked at the screen of his laptop. "Finish a report, eat, watch a movie. Or play some Tarkov or PUBG." He looked up to Rose. "What were your plans for today?" he asked. He examined her new features with a frown. "Have you informed your family about... this yet?"
the department for non-human agents and liaisons rights I let him mention? I thought of it as a sub-department of P.A.I.N. that is there to give the agents the idea that everyone is welcome and looked after. The people working there are kept in the dark about the true motives of the agency. Some bases know about what the agency is really about, like the one mr Johnson is leading, and some are used to house the agents that aren't aware of what is going on.

There is a base somewhere where monsters and demons are sent to for investigation, but the testing done is more akin to torture. Stuart doesn't know this, but he has sent people there because he believes they investigate by observation and do tests like a doctor would test a human.

Oh Steph XD

Benjamin isn't going to know what he should do: help her up or leave her.
This was the first time he saw her with so few clothes on. Benjamin coughed a bit at her question and averted his eyes. Looking at her back was looking at the scars. Looking at her front it weren't the scars that caught his attention. There certainly was something he'd like to do, but maybe now was not the best of times. He already liked her, but seeing her in just her bra... well, he was just a man after all. He hoped the bulge in his pants wasn't too obvious.
"I don't have any plans, but if you want to change clothes I'll give you some privacy," he said as he moved back to the door.
Her being a succubus she probably wouldn't even mind to hear about his ideas, but on the other hand, she seemed so shy and self-conscious and he wasn't sure if she really was ready. She had been a man before after all and this was probably still very new to her.

Rudrig walked to his room, the meeting with the boss had just ended. He noticed Rose in front of his room and approached her. "Do you need something?" he asked as he opened the door to the room he used as an office. He left it open in case Rose wished to enter and walked to his desk to open his laptop.

Penalopy sighed and floated around James; when she was behind him she wrapped her arms around him and leaned her head on his shoulder. "James, why does everyone think not talking about it is the best thing for Niccia?" she complained.
"Well, miss Penalopy, you see," James began, but she didn't give him the opportunity to finish.
Penalopy floated back to Rorsh. "I didn't want her to be unprepared for a possible face-to-face with Darkrai, imagine how much that would hurt~" She had a sad look on her face. "I know all that happened, but I didn't know if Arceus banned Darkrai or not. He should have, Darkrai was bad, but what will happen if he shows up unannounced?" She landed on the floor and stood next to her guardian. "Staying silent about it is not going to solve anything. Starfall is about us being together, to be happy, and I know that. But isn't it also to make peace when we had a fight with each other, to heal old wounds and burry old rivalries, to be supportive of each other? I'd rather have Niccia deal with it in a safe space while we are all there to comfort her, then to just not talk about what had happened. Healing comes from letting it out, not by locking it in."

Michael nodded to Niccia when she said she'd change into something else. He too had put on some new, clean clothes. "Shall we check on uncle?" he asked his Cyndaquil, who nodded to him. He got up and turned to Niccia. "I'll see you outside," he told her, showing a gentle smile.
"Do we bring him coffee?" Lytse asked.
"Maybe not a bad idea, he had one cup and a sandwich, but he always drinks two cups in the morning."

Andy finished the sandwich he had gotten from Benny and threw away the package. He watched the area around him. From what he learned so far it would be easy to spot the Legendary Pokémon; they all looked human, but had certain characteristics normal humans didn't have. Hair that mimicked their appearance for instance, and a way of walking that was just different - the gait of someone not walking on two legs often, a certain air of superiority, or a hint of awkwardness. He wondered if his nephew had picked up on that, but he decided Michael was probably too busy swooning over Niccia to really look at other people, and Michae; wasn't used to observing as he was. Observing Pokémon had been his job for years after all.
