◼    As a rule, I only do group RPs, I'm not interested in 1x1s. I enjoy GMing, Co-GMing or otherwise playing in an assertive or leading role in the game. 
◼    Before I write, I sit down and plan out where my post is going and how it ties into the overarching story I'm working on. I make notes for foreshadowing and callbacks and figure out generally as many details as possible.
◼    I like to be in the driver's seat, or at the very least having input into the story and where it's going and especially how it'll affect my character.
◼    I try to post as regularly as possible and definitely find keeping momentum helps keep both myself and others invested, but sometimes lulls happen and I'll apologize if that does happen.

Absolute Comics' First Season is off to a strong start. I want to give special thanks to my fellow GMs; @Inkarnate and @Saint Maxx for a smooth and successful launch and a very special thanks to the numerous players who contributed their characters and expressed interest. There's far too many of you to tag but I want you to know that each and every one of you are appreciated and I look forward to seeing your stories unfold and cross paths with each other.

It's an approximate date, there's a good chance the finale will still be ongoing when you return. It's basically just a goal post that we can move as needed.

What a great start to the IC, but remember folks, we're running a marathon, not a sprint. It's important to pace yourselves so don't feel pressured to immediately post your second post. I'm all for striking the anvil while it's hot, but patience is key to any craft.

That said, for those of you wondering, the general goal is to follow the model from Ultimate One Universe. For those of you who are unaware, this means that Season One will run for roughly three months, with a GM moderated finale occurring near the end of that final month. At the end of that event, players will be encouraged to a Season's Epilogue and then there will be approximately a week before the launch of the next Season.

The IC will not be closed at any point and you will be free to continue posting whether just setting up your second season or doing small one-shot posts with your character that didn't fit otherwise. This will also be the time we focus on recruiting new players and encourage anyone looking to do so to swap or apply for a new character. 

We will not be switching threads for a new season however and a new GM post much like the one I created yesterday will be posted with a teaser for the second season at which point it will be officially launched.

And we'll pretty much continue like that until no one is posting haha. 

So for quick reference, Season One: Gods Among Us will conclude approximately on June 17, 2019.

So I hate to do this, but I'm changing characters. I feel like I jumped into a character without a story, and now I'm struggling to really formulate one. 

But I'm working on something else, so I'm not dropping out of the game all together or anything. Sorry for the trouble, but I'd feel bad establishing a character like Batman only to get stuck at the beginning and screwing over other people who are dependent on me.@HenryJonesJr

No worries! Better to have a character you have a story for then to try and force posts for a character you don't.

I am not a 'stan'. I just happened to have grown up on Smallville and it has a large nostalgia factor but I can recognize its flaws and shortcomings.
