What's going on guys? Not having the motivation to post is one thing, but going completely silent is another. I'd like to know if y'all are still with us.
To everyone else, I will wait to see if any of them go before I do. Thank's for being here!
Sev was simply minding his business when the talk of taking a screenshot erupted across the room. There had never really been much use for taking screenshots in YGGDRASIL, with it being so advanced for its time. Basically being inside the game itself was enough of a mental picture that Sev never took any. Though he did have one, a secret of his to be sure. A happy memory of a time long since gone. So as soon as the player called ReidyForPleasure, started to chauffeur people to the area, Sev declined.
With a angry emote Sev said, "Not my cup of tea. Even if this is the end of the game, I'd rather not be seen standing side by side with other people." He paused then whispered, "If you get my drift." Sev then backed up and walked to a new chair, away from where the screenshot was to take place.
Sure he didn't want his final minutes to be spent in a corner, but there was really nothing else to be done, and there was no way in hell he would take a screenshot with roleplayers. Especially a guild orientated around humans and the "goody" races. He crossed his arms, still, there wasn't much elsewhere to be either. He could go to one of his favorite places, but it was far too late now and he doubted there would be any other players in attendance. No, he would stick around here until the end, if not for his own pleasure, then just to spite the Order.
Sev then heard a comment about a boney man, which he could only assume was him. It only strengthened his resolve to not be in a screenshot with these people. If Sec could roll his eyes he would be doing so, but for now he turned his attention back to the main entrance to see if anyone else would be showing up. Maybe a long lost friend? Maybe an enemy? But Sev was surely disappointed when the only person to come through the door was a woman, and she was a Witchblade to boot.
Call it innate jealousy, or downright dislike, but he never could stand Witchblades. They always came off as try-hards, and really the first one hundred people to beat a boss gets it? Lot of outrage over that one, because the boss simply became irrelevant after the fact. Now Sev didn't like them due to their play style and the pain in the ass they are to try and kill. If you couldn't get the jump on them then it was game over. But what was the point in caring anymore? She was probably the only Witchblade to even be on, good for her.
With that, Sev went back to looking at the clock, as it counted up to the inevitable final moments of YGGDRASIL.
Sev walked through the empty halls of his own guild, only silence emanating from inside. His guild hall had been founded awhile back, in a deep dark cave of all places. It had once been a dungeon that TinyTina1, the Fourth Scythe had cleared out a long time ago. TinyTina1 always did have a knack for PVE and enjoyed it more then PVP. He didn't blame her, PVP was hard, especially with all of of those min-maxer's out there. Didn't help that they were a heteromorphic guild either, so being targeted was just another day. But that was all past now. No, now he wandered around his old base, killing NPC's and deleting all of the loot they had gathered over the years.
Why keep anything if the game was shutting down? Sure it was painful, and most of the items were of sentimental value, but it wasn't like he would ever need them again. Or see them again for that matter. All of which he destroyed would only now reside in his mind, the only thing he would keep from YGGDRASIL. Sev didn't really mind either, wasn't like any of his guild mates had decided to come on and see the shutdown with him. Perhaps one of them could have talked some sense in him, but Sev was always known as somewhat unorthodox. Eventually his rampage brought him to his room, the Guild master's quarters. Sev held his hand to the door, he knew what resided within but he hesitated. Destroying his guild mate's stuff was a given, none of them were here, but his own? Sev found himself unwilling to even enter the room. He would only be reminded again what once was, and she was in there as well. The only NPC he had ever made, molded after an individual he would also never see again. In YGGDRASIL, or real life. It was still too painful for him. Sev pulled away from the door knob, and rested his boney hand on the door itself.
He whispered softly, "Goodbye, my dear." His hand slowly left the door, and Sev wandered on. There was a few more places to visit and destroy.
-----
After another hour or so, with the YGGDRASIL'S clock counting down, Sev left his cave behind and took to the skies for the last time. His Scythe was safely put away in his inventory, as well as a few choice items and his gear of course. He didn't really need anything else. So he flew over the familiar landscapes that he knew intimately. He saw no other players, only the NPCS in their eternal bliss. They would never have to know what it felt like to end, they just simply stopped or ceased to be. Odd really once you thought about it. Sev would have liked to be an NPC, it would have been much better to cease then go back to reality. If there was a way to keep the server's on Sev would have tried, even pleaded to do so. His experiences in YGGDRASIL had their ups and downs, but he wouldn't trade it for another game. Not a chance, but he kept on flying, because everything ends no matter what.
Eventually Sev landed in front of an old enemy- The Empire of Order. One of those "Normal Race" loving factions. It was a fancy place, too much for his taste, but being an old guild did have its perks. He was also fairly sure that he had personally killed at least a couple of their members. But being the last day of the server, bygones were bygones right? Sev was really only here because none of his old guild mates were online, or friends for that matter and the fact that there would be people here was tempting. So he arrived, and didn't bother disguising himself either. He was heteromorphic, and god damn he would be proud.
He walked into the grand building, like an inky dot on a pristine surface. He stood out to be sure, but he held his head high. He entered the grand chamber, where other players were gathering and comically, he was announced.
"LMAOLORDXXX of the Seven Scythes."
If his avatar could smile, he would have a grin ear from ear. Such a great name his was. Sev eyed the room, saw a few players, mostly humans and other guild members of the Empire. He saw a few of his own kind, but what really caught his eye was the Morningstar. One of those really strict roleplayers, and an Angel to boot. God did he hate Angels, with their sense of duty and other biblical shit. His guild had a few run ins with their members, it was always a grand time to be sure. At the moment she was busy talking to some dude in a chair, he looked fairly important, probably a high up Empire member.
Sev shrugged them off, and went about to a chair off in the corner. Sure it was nice to be in the presence of other players, but no one said he had to talk to them. They just weren't his own.
Yggdrasil Username: LMAOLORDXXX Name: The Seventh Scythe, or Sev Race: Undead Gender: N/A Character Level: 87 Alignment: Neutral Evil Guild/Party Affiliation: Not Applicable Anymore
Sev uses devious tactics, trickery illusions, and elements of surprise to attack opponents unaware. His assassin skills are maxed, meaning his preferred style of combat is from the shadows and using overwhelming force on a target when they are unaware of his presence. He is proficient in fighting face to face but he does not prefer it. Scythes are his main weapon of choice, for they provide unique opportunities and daggers are so overused nowadays.
Strengths:
He has a very high attack power, and his assassin classes only amplify that under the right conditions. Otherwise he is quite capable of holding his own. He knows several illusions spells that allow him to trick opponents and mask his presence. He also is proficient in agility, and endurance. He has great stamina as well.
Weaknesses:
On the path to be a glass cannon, one tends to loose their defensive capabilities. As such Sev's defense is not very high and punishing attacks will give him great pause if he cannot dodge them. He is also a hetermorphic race, and as such is usually hated to be around.

Class/Racial Restrictions: Only a Master Assassin of at least level 1, and heteromorphic may wield this weapon. Downsides of Item: It has a negative defense bonus.
Name of Item: The Tatters Rank of Item: Relic Appearance: Tattered grey cloth that hangs loosely over the body. Almost like that of a mummy but not as confining. Description of Item: The Tatters provides stat bonuses mainly. To both attack, defense, and gives a hefty agility bonus. Class/Racial Restrictions: Only those with at least level 10 in the Assassin class may don this armor. Downsides of Item: None other then the fact that it is an item that is very revealing.
Name of Item: The Phantasm Ring Rank of Item: Legacy Appearance: A small white ring that seethes mist. Description of Item: Boosts illusion magic, allows magic to be cast longer and greater distances. Class/Racial Restrictions: None Downsides of Item: None
Minor Skills: Assassination, Back stab, Lesser Illusion, Greater Illusions, Fighting Stance, Endurance boost, Stamina boost, Lesser attack boost, Greater Attack boost, Silence, Fly, Disguise Illusion, Mask Presence and other minor spells.
Name: Regicide Job Class Specialization: Master Assassin Effects of Skill: Deals triple damage to an unsuspecting foe. Side Effects of skill: Temporarily lowers defense into the negatives, also gives away position. Description of Skill: Regicide allows a Master Assassin to specifically target an individual, and if they are caught by surprise, does massive damage, usually killing the opponent.
Name: Reaper Job Class Specialization: Racial ability for Reaper class Effects of Skill: Gives off an aura of fear that causes panic, confusion and the sense of impending doom. Works in a radius of up to 500ft. Side Effects of skill: Gives away the presence of the user. They might not know where you are, but they know something is there. Description of Skill: Reaper is a skill invoked In YGGDRASIL to give negative debuffs to enemies, and monsters. In the new world, it gives away to the eternal fear of mortals- death.
Name: Incorporeal Usage Job Class Specialization: Racial ability for Wraith class Effects of Skill: Allows the user to turn into a corporal form to avoid attack, and to pass through objects once per day. The spell has a short time limit, and is primarily used to evade and flee in most cases. Side Effects of skill: Magical attacks will still cause damage, really only works well against physical and ranged attacks. Description of Skill: Wraiths are known to be able to pass through objects, and move with speed unphased by terrain. This spell simply enhances the ability.
How a normal human would view me: With a great amount of fear and hesitation. Death surely follows such a creature as I.
Personality: Before YGGDRASIL shut down, before the new world, Sev was a very happy-go-getter of a dude. He did not have a lot of care for other people's opinions, and really worked hard to get his character to where he could have fun when he PVP'd. He found no greater enjoyment then ambushing targets and hearing them rage at him after they died. After the game ended, and the new world came, Sev found himself locked at what he was. He was an undead, and his personality would be shifted because of that. No more fun and games, just business.
Bio/Lore: Sev's IRL origins remain a mystery. He never told his guild mates, or his friends where he came from or what his real name was. He started playing YGGDRASIL in its sixth year and quickly fell in love with the game as he progressed. Any sort of life he had out in the real world was quickly forgotten as became addicted to the game.
For the first couple of years he was a maverick, never getting himself into a guild and preferring the solo life of the assassin. He enjoyed it to the point where he got fixed on the high of properly caring out assassinations and trickery on opponents. He loved to PVP but after a few painful deaths, he decided that a guild wouldn't be too bad after all. Because he hated following, and didn't want to be some pawn for a larger guild, he created a small PVP orientated assassins guild, called the Scythes. As you could guess, their preferred weapon of choice were scythes but a few used other weapons as well. They even named each other with titles, Sev's being the Seventh. He would always say to his guild mates that it sounded cool.
The Scythes went on, up until the end. They made a lot of good memories, friends and a whole lot of enemies. They once got the jump on a World Class item wielder, and they would have won if not for a server crash. Then there was the multiple guild wars they inadvertently created by killing opposite factions and then placing damning evidence to say either side did it. It was a whole lot of fun, but they never really were notorious, more of a nuisance at best. As YGGDRASIL began to die, the shut down inevitable, some of his guild mates stayed until the end and they wished each other good luck and parted. Others had logged off years ago never to return, such was the nature of gaming.
Then the final night came, his greatest fun was going to end. It was tragic at best, but he would stay around until the end, and with none of his guild mates on, he'd go crash someone else's party.
@vancexentan Okay, changed it to once a day, with a short time limit. Honestly he'd probably only use it to evade an attack or person he deemed threatening. Or he would simply use it to scare people.
@vancexentan Nah, it's alright. Overlord stuff is fairly complicated in itself.
Here we are now.
