Baldur

With the arrival of the winged young-woman, and the words of the orc bartender, Baldur's suspicions were confirmed to him. It would seem, indeed, that all these familiar faces were working together to ascend the Tower. It was an astonishing coincidence, that all the most interesting individuals he saw and encountered the preceding day would be allied with one-another. Or perhaps it was no coincidence at all....perhaps it was the whims of fate, that such a thing were to occur, that he would be there to witness it.

Perhaps the most intriguing journey would lie with this band....he considered it. He was already sponsored for this trek by a church, it's only reasonable that he make it with a man of the cloth. He was distracted, however, by a curious smell upon his nose, and the distinctive sound of an elven face slamming into a door. He turned his attention to the young elf girl, the child playing Knight.....yet another familiar face. But something was different about her. He sniffed the air, recognizing the burning scent of the forge that came from her direction. Had she had something made at a blacksmith? He took notice of the soot in her hair, however....No, she was working the forge. He stared at her, intrigued....she was stronger than she appeared. Like the priest, it would seem, he had made an inaccurate judgement. The elf, which he had initially written off as a spoiled naive girl, had attracted his interest once again.

As he returned his attention to the conversation at the counter, he took notice of the fox-spirit's cold stare rested squarely on him. He had grown privy to his eavesdropping, it would seem, but what would he do now?....Baldur leaned back in his chair, matching Inari's cold gaze with his own, with his piercing blue eyes.
