♫ My skin is made of glass, but apparently it’s stained
'Cause you notice all the cracks, but can’t look inside my pain
And if you throw another stone
Then I'd stay far away, far away
I just might break ♫

Luckily, this is only my first time here and hopefully it will be the last.
► What team color would you like? Do you think you'll get it?
Red, definitely red... and why wouldn’t I get it? Aren't we the ones paying you?
► Is this your choice to attend? If not, what can we do to accommodate you?
It's obviously not my choice to attend- my mom thought it would be a good idea for my younger sister and I to come out here since we haven't had the chance to spend time together recently due to my training schedule. As long as we send her a few photos of the two of us "bonding" we should be fine.
► Any allergies, disabilities, or special circumstances we should be aware of?
I follow a strict diet for my training. My coaching team had it sent over to the kitchen staff and I expect them to follow it. If I can't land my triple axel due to a shift in my center of gravity, I'll blame it on you.
► Do you have experience with any winter sports? Would you like lessons?
You're kidding right?
► What are you looking forward to?
If anything, it's the change in scenery. But I'm mostly looking forward to going home in two weeks.
► What are you not looking forward to?
I think you know by now that I'm not too thrilled to be here.
► Tell us a little bit about yourself:
If I must, we can start with the fact that I'm a nationally ranked figure skater and I have dedicated almost my whole life to being the best there is. I'm incredibly independent and headstrong which makes me quite competitive and goal-oriented on the ice. My mother says I'm a little too emotionally guarded for my own good, but I can't help that I tend to put my feelings aside when it comes to my decision making. Coach says I have a fiery tenacity about me, and I know that sometimes I can get a little hot-headed and lose my temper easily. I'm brutally honest which hasn't gained me the most friends in life, but for those friends and family I do have, I am incredibly protective over them, especially Mia.

► Noteworthy appearance traits:
- Hair: Blonde | Straight | Wears it down when she's off the ice, but always in an updo/ponytail when she's skating.
- Eyes: Blue
- Height: 5’5”
- Body Type: Petite | Slim | Athletic
- Clothing Style: Normally, Chloe wears athleisure to and from the Rink and whilst lounging around after practices, but when she goes out or has events she is known to wear classy but understated pieces. Lots of neutral colors and staples that can be mixed and matched easily.
- Piercings: Just the standard lobe piercing.
- Etc: Has a birthmark in the shape of leaf on her back.
► Noteworthy luggage items:
Two suitcases- a matching checked bag and carry on filled with mostly practice clothes as well as some day outfits for when she's not in the ice. A backpack with her computer, chargers, makeup, and headphones. Her second personal item is her custom made Jackson Ultima skates that were built specifically for her feet and cost hundreds of dollars. She never lets them out of her sight.
► Quirks:
► Likes/Dislikes:
- Taps her skates against the wall three times before she steps on the ice- it's a good luck ritual and she's incredibly superstitious about it.
- Checks her pulse when she's nervous or anxious.
- Recently has gotten into manifestation and writes her goals and aspirations in a notebook in order to make them a reality.

► History:
From the first hockey game that he ever went to at TD Garden in Boston to watch the Bruins face the Flyers, Samuel Chambers knew that one day he wanted to play professional hockey in the NHL. He was drawn to the sport- the team camaraderie, the skill, the speed of it- and worked hard to make a name for himself in his youth. He played right wing and consistently was his team's top scorer for his ability to quickly analyze the ice and move around the defense. By the time he was a Sophomore in high school, he already had scholarship offers from some of the top collegiate teams, and after making the necessary grades committed to Boston College to play Hockey.
Within his first two years at BC, Sam quickly became a star player for the team. His coaches could always count on him to make the strategic moves over the dramatic plays, and his teammates knew he'd always find a way to push defense and make his way to score. He lived for the game, and NHL scouts began to take notice. But, that was all ripped away from him during his Junior year when he was blindsided by a right defensive from Minnesota who crashed him into the boards. Within seconds, a snap of his tibia and a debilitating concussion shockingly and suddenly ended Sam's hockey career.
At first, he struggled to cope with this immense loss. He spent days and nights dreaming about what could have been; his whole career and a livelihood which was once at his fingertips now snatched away. But eventually, he picked himself up from rock bottom and found a way to combine his love for Hockey by moving to New York City and working as an Analyst for the Rangers. He used his experience and expertise to track the players' data in order to help them improve their game and skills. Sam felt fulfilled, but his lifelong dream was never fully realized.
Enter Nessarose, the mother of his children. He saw her across the bar after a long evening of work and the rest was history. Whimsical and artistic, eccentric and creative, loving and compassionate- Nessa filled the holes in Sam's life that he needed. Where he was structured, she was a free spirit. After dating for a few years, they got married and moved upstate, having their first born and eldest Chloe shortly thereafter.
Chloe's life can be divided into two parts- there's before skating and after skating. The moment that the young blonde glided onto the ice, everything changed. Like her father had experienced many years prior, there was a spark; an immediate passion and love that just could not be fulfilled by anything else. For the young girl, figure skating was the perfect combination of her parent's interests - it had the artistic fluency and creativity that Nessa utilized in her writing and the athletic and calculating aspects of Samuel's hockey aspirations. Plus, as a young girl, she loved the beautiful dresses the girls wore while waltzing across the ice. As soon as Chloe's father discovered that his daughter had not only taken an interest to skating, but was a born natural, he clung to it for dear life. He saw it as an opportunity to breathe life from his failed career into his daughter's.
Samuel poured an unhealthy amount of time and energy into his eldest's skating. He was completely invested- always at the rink with her critiquing her movements, calling out her mistakes, and pushing her to be perfect. Tough love was the norm, but as time went on and Chloe got older, the expectations grew loftier and medals and trophies became the only way for her to receive validation from her father. Samuel curated her practice schedule in such a way that it cut her off from her peers and even her mother and sister. Chloe built her walls high to guard herself from the negativity she was hit with from her father- around her craft, her weight, her focus, and other harsh words that were supposed to 'motivate' her. She grew devoid of emotions, as according to him they were keeping her from being the best competitor, and she put every ounce of herself into her skating in order to hopefully make him proud. At the end of the day, Samuel became more of a coach than a father and the blonde was a skater and not a daughter.
And now we're here- Nessa having finally put her foot down in horror at what their family has become. She insisted that Chloe and Mia go away for two weeks - the most time that either of them have ever spent away from their parents - to bond and rekindle their sisterly relationship that they once had. This will also be the most time that Chloe will have spent not practicing consistently. Will she crack, or will she thrive?
