TW: Domestic Violence

Sometimes when Aurora closed her eyes, she was brought back here.

Back to the small ranch house at the end of a cul-de-sac, with its beige stucco exterior and red clay tile roofing. She could feel the bite of the cool metal of the doorknob as she turned it, a stark contrast to the dry desert heat that flushed her skin. The redhead could picture every detail in that house, the one that she used to call home, so vividly. Things like the wood grain pattern of the walnut cabinets in the kitchen and the exact shade of the taupe tiled floor. As she walked inside, she was greeted by the scent of her mother’s perfume - peony and rose. The smell invited her in; told her to stay a while, say hello, even.

But the sound of the front door opening and closing did the opposite, igniting a panic that quickly took over her body. Within seconds, her feet moved almost of their own accord to what was once her childhood bedroom; she was a girl retracing hurried steps she knew well. Bland blue walls with glow-in-the-dark stars haphazardly pasted to the ceiling awaited her. Aurora closed the door behind her, locked it and waited, dreading what she knew was coming.

First was the yelling. A male voice - rough and cold - and a woman’s voice - petrified and breaking. The redhead couldn’t make out any distinct words, every consonant and vowel seemed to meld together into a cacophony of sound. Next was the slamming of doors, the shattering of glass, the echo of skin hitting skin. As the shouting continued into a crescendo, Aurora’s clammy hands found her hot ears to try and block out any of the noise. It was loud, too loud. Too much.

Footsteps grew heavier, the vibrations radiating through the house, growing closer. The sheer terror in the woman’s voice was palpable as the handle of the bedroom door started to jiggle, but Aurora remained frozen, trapped in the suffocating grip of fear. Hot, silent tears pricked at her eyes.

And then in the doorway stood a figure, outlined by the harsh glare of the hallway light. His silhouette was imposing, casting a long shadow that seemed to swallow the room whole. Aurora's breath caught in her throat. She could feel the weight of his gaze, heavy with anger and resentment, boring into her soul.

With a trembling hand, the redhead reached out, grasping for something, anything to anchor her back to reality. But there was only emptiness, a void that threatened to consume her whole and -

Aurora’s eyes shot open, her mouth dry and chest heaving as she frantically attempted to acclimate to her surroundings. Light crept in through billowy white curtains, illuminating her plants and the pictures propped on her desk. Loosening her vice-like grip on her duvet, she inhaled deeply and exhaled, attempting to calm and slow her pounding heartbeat.

She was in her dorm. She was safe. It wasn’t real.

That had been the redhead’s third nightmare of the week. At least she had managed to sleep through the night this time.

It happened every summer; the still emptiness of campus triggered something in Aurora’s brain that had every fear of hers crawling back to the surface. She knew in her heart that come fall everyone would return, but the little voice in the back of her head told her that they were gone for good, and this was just a continuation of the vicious cycle that was her reality. But today, her heart would win the battle with her mind, as students came back to campus for the new school year; her last year at Pacific Royal Collegiate & University.

The redhead found her footing and climbed out of bed, shuffling to the bathroom to wash the now sticky sheen of sweat from her skin. She stayed there for a while under the spray of the shower, letting the scalding water cleanse both her body and mind. She spent some time mentally preparing herself for the day ahead - it was going to be a long one, especially given that she was not well rested.

It wasn’t until the water began to run cold that she turned off the shower and started to get ready. Aurora had promised Harper that she’d meet her down at the beach, which was an annual tradition for the weekend prior to the start of classes. Everyone would be there, most having returned from their summer adventures, both good and bad. And as much as the redhead would love nothing more than to attempt to go back to sleep, a promise was a promise and she always kept her word.

Aurora was never one to wear a lot of makeup - maybe some blush across her cheeks and nose and some mascara to highlight her baby blues - but one step she never skipped was applying concealer to cover the bags that seemed to have purchased permanent real estate underneath her eyes. No one needed to be privy to her sleeping habits… well, no one else. Lorcán, Banjo, and Haven were plenty, as it was.

Some odd minutes later after drying her hair and getting dressed, Aurora locked her dorm behind her and began to make her way towards the beach on foot. She didn’t always feel the urge or see a reason to teleport everywhere. Sure, it was faster and more efficient than walking, but today she wanted to witness PRCU come alive again for herself. She needed to see it. So as she walked, she intently listened to the chatter and excitement of new and returning students who had already arrived back on campus. Some were swapping stories of their summers spent with family or traveling abroad, while others asked questions such as where the Intake House was or how they could get to the Administration Building. As Aurora overheard each conversation, her heart grew warm and her anxieties melted away. Things were as they should be.

Once the paved pathway met the beach, the redhead immediately slipped off her sandals, letting her toes dig into the sand. Out of instinct, her whole body relaxed as she smelled the salty air and heard the gulls fly overhead. There was something grounding about the water and the waves that she could never put her finger on. She wasn’t a strong swimmer, she didn’t even learn how to swim until she got to Dundas Island and was forced to learn for her own safety, but nonetheless, the surf hitting the shore triggered the quiet in her mind she so desperately craved.

Looking around, she searched for Harper but also watched as her classmates enjoyed the beautiful day. Some students simply sunbathed, others were playing football or volleyball, even some had ventured into the water. The unbridled joy and happiness was a sight to behold after a quiet summer on the island. It brought a genuine smile to the redhead’s face.

“No littering, maggots!”

Well, there was Harper. Yelling at some new students who had chosen to abandon their trash unceremoniously on the beach. Seemed very fitting for the brunette to be laying down the law - after all, it was common knowledge that she had an affinity for structure and the rules.

Aurora waved to her friend as she closed the distance between them, sitting down underneath an adjacent umbrella and tucking herself into the pocket of shade that it provided. Thus was the curse of being a fair-skinned redhead - unless she was actively trying to look like a tomato, direct sunlight was not advised. As she got comfortable, she removed her cover-up, revealing a two-piece bathing suit underneath - rest assured, she had thoroughly applied SPF 100 before leaving her room and brought extra to spare.

“Remind me later not to litter in your presence... where did you even get that thing?” Aurora asked with a laugh, setting down her bag and fishing out the book she had brought to read. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the sketchbook that lay open on what she assumed was a recently completed drawing. Peering over at her friend’s creation, she beamed. “Oh Harper, this is beautiful." She commented, not aiming to be nosy, but genuinely impressed by her friend's skill and wanting to compliment her like she deserved to be. “You are so talented - I can only hope that you’ll draw a picture of me one day.”

Aurora Daphne Mitchell was unexpected in more ways than one. The product of a one-night stand, Aurora's mother Sasha was young, too young to even think about having a child - she wasn't even out of high school when she found out she was expecting - and Aurora's father didn't even know she existed, as he left shortly after she was conceived.

Living in a dead end town off of historic Route 66, Sasha struggled to make ends meet in a place that didn't have much to offer in terms of opportunity. She worked two jobs to stay afloat and the first few years were tough (at points they were forced to live in her mother's car) but when Aurora was 5 her mother met a man who changed their fate. Damon Fray might have had questionable morals and his money and resources were acquired through illegal means, but he gave Sasha and her daughter shelter and safety and that was everything then. He and his friends were notorious in Kingman for their bad deeds - dealing, stealing, and violence - most of it driven by hate and directed towards Hyperhumans. Eventually, his kindness wanted and he began to take out his frustrations on Aurora's mother both physically and mentally.

Aurora's powers first manifested at age 10. Damon and her mother were arguing viciously and as she leaned up against her bedroom door attempting to figure out what had set him off this time, Aurora wished she could be somewhere else, anywhere but there. The next thing she knew she had teleported outside of her room and then again into the living room. Sasha noticed her daughters spontaneous emergence, but thankfully Damon did not. After diffusing the situation, she immediately knew it was no longer safe for her daughter to stay there; who knew what Damon would do if he found out Aurora was special in that way. She knew he would not share the same acceptance she had been able to find in her heart, and so, Sasha did the hardest thing she'd ever have to do - let her daughter go.

Under cover of night, Aurora was dropped off at a children's home in a neighboring town with strict instructions from her mother to hide her abilities at all costs. Young Aurora at first didn't understand why it had to be this way, but quickly learned that the world feared people like her. She bounced from foster home to foster home over the next two years - as soon as each placement figured out she was Hyperhuman, it was on to the next. It wasn't until the children's home had simply run out of viable options that they enlisted the assistance of H.E.L.P. to have her sent to P.R.C.U. Shortly before Aurora's 13th birthday, she arrived on Dundas Island and has remained there ever since.

Aurora navigates the world with a cautious gaze and a guarded heart, her experiences having taught her that people aren't always what they seem. She's learned to rely on her instincts to guide her and because of this, she might come off as reserved, quiet, or introspective upon first meeting because she's simply observing and assessing the situation.

However after she lets down her initial defenses, Aurora's warmth and compassion shines through. Her demeanor softens and her guarded expressions give way to a genuine smile that lights up any room and and an infectious laugh. She's gentle and unassuming, chooses her words with care, and moves gracefully but deliberately. There's a quiet confidence in the way she carries herself, indicative of a resiliency beyond her years. The turmoil and well, damage, that lies beneath this superficial layer though... only few will ever see if chooses she lets them in.

Aurora's unyielding determination is a trait she got from her mother; watching her work tirelessly to provide for them and witnessing her relentless grind for their survival is something that the redhead carries with her everyday. As a result of it, Aurora is incredibly hardworking and is fueled by the desire to carve out a better future for herself.

Aurora has the power of teleportation: to move instantaneously from one location to another without needing to occupy the space in between. She also is able to move matter (objects or people) in the same manner. The redhead only needs to think and/or visualize where she would like to travel to (near or even sometimes far) and within seconds she will appear there spontaneously.

Smaller distances are easy, like breathing, and don't tire her or deplete her. But longer distances take more of a toll and might require a bit of rest afterwards depending on the situation. The same goes for objects and people - teleporting on her own is one thing, but teleporting heavy objects and people requires more of her energy.

L I M I T A T I O N S || R A N G E A N D E N E R G Y

At this point in her training, Aurora's greatest limitation of her powers is range and distance. When she was a child, she could only travel extremely short distances - across the room or at most 30 feet away. Since then, she's expanded her radius exponentially to include anything within her field of vision at any moment, the entirety of Dundas Island, and further away places that she has visited previously and knows well (such as the Children's Home in Arizona). But if she has never been there before, or she cannot visualize the location, she is not able to teleport.

Additionally, Aurora's ability to teleport is affected by her energy levels. If she is tired or spent significantly, she is unable to teleport at the same capacity as she can at full strength. Either she'll attempt to teleport somewhere and will only end up halfway to her intended destination or if she's particularly lacking in energy she won't be able to teleport at all.

W E A K N E S S E S || F O C U S A N D P A N I C

Aurora's teleportation abilities rely heavily on her mind, and in order to teleport somewhere she needs to be completely in control of her thoughts to direct them specifically towards a certain location or reason to move. She has done a lot of work personally - meditation, intention setting, even therapy - to calm, clear, and focus her psyche, but she still struggles from time to time. Enemies can take advantage of this through distraction, but she also at times can be her own downfall. The years she spent witnessing her mother's abuse and the constant displacement while in the system definitely took its toll, as she has harbors lot of residual anxiety and panic that proves to be a barrier to reeling in her racing thoughts.

I'd like Aurora to muster up the courage to reconnect with her mother at some point. She is able to fully visualize her childhood home in her head so theoretically she could teleport there, but she has never taken the opportunity to do so - it's a tough subject for her. Aurora's birth father is also somewhere out there and she's always wondered who he is/what his story is.

In terms of interaction with other characters, Aurora has deeply rooted trust issues as well as fear of abandonment due to her upbringing, so I think she would really benefit from a close relationship of some sort (whether it be romantic or platonic). She has superficial bonds with her classmates but she needs to break down her walls and let someone into her life on a deeper level in order to heal. Only then will she be able to reach her full potential.

Make the most of every day at P.R.C.U. - I truly mean that. Don't let each day, however mundane it may seem, pass you by. Go on the adventure across campus with your roommate, challenge yourself to ask difficult questions... tell that boy you have feelings for him. I can't even express how lucky you are to be here in this sanctuary. Practice gratitude every morning that you wake up on Dundas Island. Not every Hyperhuman is as fortunate.

Young Rory at first didn't understand why it had to be this way, but quickly learned that the world feared people like her.

However after she lets down her initial defenses, Rory's warmth and compassion shines through.

Rory's unyielding determination is a trait she got from her mother; watching her work tirelessly to provide for them and witnessing her relentless grind for their survival is something that the redhead carries with her everyday.

At this point in her training, Rory's greatest limitation of her powers is range and distance.

Rory's birth father is also somewhere out there and she's always wondered who he is/what his story is.

TW: Domestic Violence

Damon and her mother were arguing viciously and as she sat at the top of the stairs helplessly, Aurora wished she could be somewhere else, anywhere but there. The next thing she knew she had teleported to the base of the stairs and then again into the living room.

Young Aurora at first didn't understand why it had to be this way, but quickly learned that the world feared people like her. it’s me, I came out of retirement for this

Marcos Kingsley & Ellie Roberts

Fed up.

Marcos Kingsley was fed up.

This merge was nothing but hell for him and now? Now he had to go to a party he didn’t want to be at to make sure no one touched his sister inappropriately. She was so lucky Christian was only a couple blocks away, which was nothing while riding his bike. If there was something Trixie would never fail at, it was being a self-serving, manipulative brat. On top of her sneaking out, which somehow he’ll get blamed for, her face was on someone’s story saying she’d skinny dip if she lost in a drinking contest.

Maintaining balance and control, while still seemingly defying gravity, Marcos increased his acceleration on his Street Triple R. Keenly aware of his morality, yet enjoying embracing his surroundings of the suburban heights of Columbus and all the senses that riding a motorcycle invokes, the prideful Lion moved his body with the machine, leaning when he needed to.

There was a visceral physical pleasure whenever he took the moment to go out, just him and his bike. The wind rushing through, over, and around him, and how much he had to put his hands and feet to work was addictive. There have been many weekend days he spent just riding around all day and only thinking about his journey on the road. If he could ride his bike and leave all his issues behind, he would, but then his parents would give him grief, making him feel like he was irresponsible, aimless, and careless. A Kingsley had to keep their image, their reputation, and their future in mind always. If they didn’t, they risk disgracing their family name.

Thinking about all the things that went wrong this week, like Colin starting unnecessary drama because he can’t get over the fact that they grew apart or Marcos running into all the exes he hurt in middle school, wasn’t worth his time and energy. He changed and whether people believe that or not was their own prerogative. The soccer player wasn’t going to lose sleep because people can’t get over themselves. Their grudges are their own obstacles. He was here to graduate and leave this all behind him. The prospect of him enjoying his senior year was growing more bleak by the minute.

Finally arriving and pulling up in Christian’s driveway, Marcos pulled off his helmet to meet the eyes of people sitting in the front having an intimate conversation and drinking out of red cups. The guy didn’t know he was, but the girl’s eyes widened, “Marcos?! You came!”

“Yeah,” He acknowledged while securing his bike in place and fastening his helmet. Instead of striking up a conversation, he let their voices drown out in the background, as he went through the side gate to get to the party. He had never been to Christian’s house because they weren’t necessarily friends, especially after the whole player phase Marcos went through. The jock didn’t want to assume his sister was inside or outside even if ten minutes ago she was inside. Worst case, he could ask around and try to leave as quietly as he entered.

That, of course, was hopeful thinking. The second Marcos found himself in the backyard, by the bouncy house, the flock of thirsty drunk girls were quick to make their move. Some knowing him and some just seeing a very, very hot guy.

“Who’s that?” Sitting on a lounge chair, by the bonfire, a strawberry blonde with kittenish eyes surveyed the new addition to the party. Taking a sip of her cranberry vodka, she leaned back in her seat and shook her head, “No one has the right to be that fucking fine.”

The girl beside her, with glasses and braids, rolled her eyes at her friend and unethustically commented, “Marcos Kingsley. One of three golden boys. You remember Aiden? Yeah, the one over there. They’re best friends. Yeah, yeah, yeah I know. Fucking fine as hell. Well, they’re assholes. The third golden boy was the only reason why most of us could tolerate them, but now he’s gone. If you knew these two in middle school, they were trouble. I’d suggest staying away. Who knows how he’ll be without Richie!”

How unfun. “I like trouble,” The Rosefell cheerleader protested, twirling her hair as she watched the man candy walk around, searching for something. “I’m going to say hi.”

“Do what you want, but you can’t say I warned you,” the Liberty High theater kid aggressively took a bite out of her smores, watching her new friend be stupid and try to flirt with the lost cause.

Stopping in his tracks, Marcos found his path blocked with a girl with a bikini top on and a skirt. With clear intentions in her eyes, she stepped forward and introduced herself, “Hey handsome, my name is Paris. Where are you going in such a rush?”

This was his curse. Inhaling in, exhaling out, Marcos replied with a fake, yet charming smile, “Hey Paris, cute name,” He didn’t want to get a girl mad already, but he wasn’t here to flirt. He was here to get his sister and leave. “I’d love to chat but real talk, I’m just here to find my sister, so excuse me.” The stranger tried her best to put her body against his chest and coerherce him to forget his task, but Marcos was not having it. He was here for one thing and one thing only. No thot could stop him.

Pretending to give in, Marcos leaned into her body and placed his hand on her chin, bringing it up for her to look at him. This move ended up startling her, because seeing him up this close and personal was more than she could handle. Stumbling back, Paris accidentally bumped into a group behind her. The person she walked into dropped their drink on the floor. By the time she apologized and went to look back at the jock, composed and ready, pushing the itch away, in the back of her mind, he was gone.

Where the hell did he go?

Sighing, relieved he got away, Marcos walked by the pool and continued his search there. This party was more busy than the stories on social media gave credit for. After being here for a couple of minutes, he already knew he wanted to go home. The peacefulness of the living room was more welcomed than the chaos of the first party of the year. Gradually turning his head to the water, he fished around, surveying faces.

Ellie found herself propped up against the fence, shoes discarded next to her and toes digging into the plush green grass as she nursed the joint in between her thumb and index finger. Something about being under the influence heightened every other sensation and at the current moment nothing was more satisfying than her bare feet feeling the rich soil underneath her. She breathed out large puffs of smoke whilst the rest of the party moved on around her.

As her eyes grew more red and brain grew more foggy, she tried to mask out the emotions that seemed to front in her brain as a result of her interaction with Rico. Anger, sadness, frustration, longing- all unresolved feelings that came on in waves every time she saw his face. The weed could only dull so much of her grief, so she let her eyes search for a distraction, anything to brighten her mood.

This alleviation came in the form of a tall, dark, and handsome male who strutted into the party clearly attempting to find someone or something. Ellie was too oblivious to notice his intentions, and was simply excited to see Marcos arrive. With a giddy smile and laugh, she clamored to her feet and called out his name across the pool. “Marcos! Marcos you made it!” The brunette waved.

Before the ungodly hot son of the junior senator of Ohio could find his ex and Theo Van Cise in the pool, his attention was ripped from the turquoise water to a Sunflower beaming at him. Ellie! Probably the only good thing about Rosefell was this girl right here. Boy was he glad to see her in a crowd of strangers, enemies, and nobodies.

With not a second to waste, he strode to the otherside of the pool where she was, “Yeah, I guess I did.” When he was inches away from her, he surveyed her mannerism, outfit, and expression, and immediately picked up the scent of weed off of her. This wasn’t something he expected from her, but he didn’t hate it. It was just a different take on the adorable Ellie Roberts.

Smiling at her, the hard exterior dropping in the presence of this ray of sunshine, Marco laughed, “I can see you’re having a good time. If there’s anyone that deserves a break, it’s definitely you. And—” His hand gestured to her display, “— you look great, El.” His dark gaze did get carried away, distracted by her midriff, but he was quick to not let that linger, out of respect for his friend. “Trying to impress anyone?” He coolly teased.

The brunette blew a raspberry with her lips, rolling her eyes before emitting a giggle. “Oh please, I just threw this on because Lil told me I should.” Ellie replied, not noticing the death stares and glares she was getting from the envious belles of Liberty and Rosefell. “I am having a good time though!... Well, mostly.” She corrected herself before motioning Marcos to come closer, whispering to him quietly “This is my first time getting high, you know. It’s weird, but I like it.”

It was in this moment that Marcos put the search for his sister in the back of his mind, completely engrossed in how cute Ellie was acting. Even when she brought up his ex, he didn’t seem bothered by it because she was just so captivating in this light. Ellie was naturally a delight, but with the weight of the world off her shoulders and her acting so free and in the moment, the grumpy jock found himself chuckling with her. He couldn’t handle her like this. She was just so goddamn cute. Her usual optimism he found so attractive and interesting was cranked up to ten. He was weak to this artsy, klutzy, and accepting dork.

Marcos Kingsley felt a burning sensation he hadn’t felt for years. Actually, the last time he was this intrigued was with Lilith. Looking around at the jealous girls surrounding them, the jock devilishly smirked. Maybe it was a good idea for him to come to this party. Glancing at her, with their faces inches away, watching her pull away, Marcos smugged, “Is that so? Well if you like it, then you should keep at it.” Not wanting to fully enable her, he playfully poked her nose, “But in moderation, okay? Or you’ll be seeing my face a lot more,” he flirtatiously winked.

Heat struck Ellie’s cheeks, a rosy-ness appearing across her features that complemented her freckles. It was quite common for her to get flustered in the presence of those she admired, quite possibly moreso whilst under the influence, and she’d be lying if she didn’t admit that she liked Marcos just a smidge. She vividly remembered the first day he walked into the Yellow Rose Diner and knew that his chiseled face would be one that she would soon not forget. “Don’t worry, I will. Scout’s honor.” She saluted playfully, “I wouldn’t mind seeing your face more though, you’ve rarely showed up at the diner lately...” Ellie commented, jutting out her lower lip pouting. “Who else am I going to give free milkshakes to?”

Deceased.

Was Eleanor Roberts flirting back? If she was, Marcos was feeling it and if he continued thinking what he was thinking, this probably would result in something they’d both regret. Not letting his imagination get carried away too much, Marcos laughed, “Hey, I’m sure there’s plenty of boys out there that want a taste of your milkshake.” Did he actually just say that? A genuine, sweet blush washed over him. The Golden Boy was quick to divert the girl’s attention to a small group playing with a giant jenga set, “Oh look, drunk jenga. Want to play?”

Like a puppy that had just seen a squirrel, Ellie’s gaze immediately followed over to their classmates huddled in the corner laughing and cheering. That looked like fun! The brunette nodded vigorously, “Ooh yes, let’s go!” quickly grabbing hold of Marcos’ muscular arm and pulling him towards the game.

”I think you and I are going to have a grand time tonight.”

The corners of Tyler Jane’s plump lips turned up into a gentle smile as she gazed at the enchanting boy who took a step closer to her, something magnetic about him that she couldn’t place a finger on. Although his intentions were made clear by his words, it was the way in which he was admiring her that said it all without needing to explain. The alcohol in her system was making her much more susceptible to his charms, but she was positive that even if she were stone cold sober she would have felt the same way.

And then like a mid-day storm, an clearly annoyed and gloomy dark haired girl appeared out of nowhere and rained on the two’s parade, beginning to berate the boy- now with a name, Nicholas - for god knows what. Her tone indicated clear disgust and disdain and the dancer recognized quickly that the two were not merely just friends, but related, noting the identical arch in their brows and features reminiscent of each other.

”You’re really going to stand there and act like you aren’t flirting with your Tramp of Choice?”

Well wasn’t she lovely. A ray of sunshine, no doubt.

”You always do this, Nick. You find some red head, flip on the charm switch, become a complete ass and settle for someone completely beneath you. It astoundingly perplexes me every time.”

Heat pricked the redhead’s cheeks, not expecting such choice words to come out of the girl- Billie’s- mouth. Hell, she didn’t even know her and she already didn’t like her! She was never one to shy away from conflict and the last thing she wanted to do was let this ruin a perfectly good opportunity, so Tyler Jane raised an eyebrow and took a sip of her drink before letting her fiery nature emerge in delicate and understated fashion.

“I hate to interrupt this game of Family Feud, I truly do, but - Billie Jean, was it? It seems to me like your brother is old enough to make his own decisions, and if this is how he wants to spend his evening, it should be none of your concern. Besides, don’t you have better things to do?” The redhead replied, more bluntly than even she was expecting, the alcohol in her system dialing up the sass meter.

“I mean, we’re at a party and yet the only thing that seems to be consuming you is who your brother decides to take interest in… a little bit sad if you ask me.”

Tyler Jane was consumed by the music, utterly distracted and entranced by the highs and the lows of the notes and fueled by the shots she had already taken. The night was young and she wanted to soak it up for all it was worth. She had turned to venture to the kitchen, hopefully to find another drink to sustain her.

And then like magic, there was a boy in front of her extending a red solo cup in her direction.

She gave him a once over as they both stood there, time nearly stopping in the moments that she took in his outward appearance. The redhead was sure she had never seen him before - quickly delineating that he was a Liberty kid - his dark hair and mysterious sapphire eyes making an impression without him needing to say more than a phrase. It was the way that he held himself that said it all with no words- the boy practically oozed charm and a debonair grace. He had definitely captured her attention, that was for sure.

"How'd you know?" Tyler Jane smirked, brushing hands with the boy as she took the cup from his grasp, the contact like an electric shock. She didn't bother asking questions about where the beverage came from (not exactly her brightest decision, after all she was already tipsy) and the girl simply took a sip before continuing to speak. "I could never say no to a drink."
