I think I have my writing confidence back. Feels like centuries since I could string together sentences.

Hi. I'm a role-player/writer who has spent over twenty-one years in this hobby.

I will pretty much write anything as long as my partner is cool with my inconsistent posting pace and momentum. I'm pretty sociable and I make dumb jokes all the time. My favorite things to write is capeshit, anime, space operas, horror, and slice of life/mundane drama. My writing level leans toward minimalism, but I try to give my partners/groups more than enough to work off of. I like to think I am pretty flexible.

I like cinema, music, and animation just as much as I like writing with people. My biggest hobby after writing is pop media analysis. Ask me questions or for suggestions and I'm sure to have something for you. 😎😎😎

“Get there without being seen, and we're golden.”
Red Robin

Drake’s suggestion was a basic assertion. Everything they did unless specifically meant to draw attention was about not being seen. It was a nonsensical comment but for once Damian decided to allow Drake to state such idiocies without mockery. If they were going to be efficient in this plan of theirs they needed to both keep their emotions under control and it seemed so easy to disrupt Drake's concentration to Damian. His retaliation for bringing up Wilson made that rather apparent.

As the two broke line of sight with each other it was something Damian made a point to remember.

It didn’t take long to deal with the cameras.

The use of hacking devices was not new to Damian—the League used them when they deemed it necessary. Assassins had adapted since the dawn of time and Damian was a very good assassin even if he didn’t do the ‘killing’ part of the task anymore. While Drake’s reliance on technology annoyed the thirteen-year-old he also knew that in situations like this there were little other options. If Damian destroyed the cameras as opposed to manipulating them they would alert the guards and Freeze to their presence. While Damian was not afraid to do battle with the entire compound, it was not the most effective way to achieve his goals.

And he would achieve them.

The flush of water was heavy. Disgusting, too. Rael wasn’t sure if she was going to be able to fight the current that washed away down the massive sewer system.

溺死

She held her breath as best as she could, tightening her grip on two hands. She wasn’t a god. How many people—why was this place built like this? Two different thoughts. Two different questions. There wasn’t a lot of time for it and Rael understood that. She didn’t want to drown in dirty, disgusting sewer water.

溺死

When her breath broke, the taste of it all nearly overwhelmed her. Her brows narrowed, and she pushed upward. Who even knew how to swim anymore? It wasn’t the 20th Century anymore. Water was a precious resource and swimming pools were a luxury. Not that Rael had an issue with luxuries. She was just thankful that she happened to know how to swim and her body in this world was stronger than the one back home. Hanako Moriyama would’ve drowned and not a single person would’ve cared. Weak and nothing. Her parents would only be disappointed that an arranged marriage fell through. The reminder whispered in her brain as she tightened her grip and moved upward as fast and as strong as she could. The enhancement magic coursing through her muscles certainly helped. It helped a great deal.

She looked to her side, left-and-right. At least she got two people. The others were either drowning downstream or washed ashore at some other part of the sewer system. Not much she could do about that.

溺死

The water broke and Rael could breathe again. Finally.

The red-haired Japanese girl was elated when she reached the stone surface. She looked up—Graves and Alja. Good. She’d kill them if they drowned in the muck. She wanted to be cool and appear awesome but all she could do was cough the disgusting, putrid liquid from her throat. The silver-haired girl did the same, but not before casting some kind of magic and the dingy water was purified in an instant. It may have removed any toxins in her system but Rael knew one thing. She’d never forget the taste.

“It'll be okay... it's just... water. Now.”

Rael heard the girl’s voice. The healer’s.

After coughing for what felt like forever, she waved her off. “I’m fine. I’ll be fine.”
I'm not sure where the line is for "work on a new idea" or "push through the current idea" for me. I'm notoriously terrible with deadlines and consistency. The times where I can post often (Damian, Kara) seem to be the rare occurrences rather than the norm for me.

I think when I hit a wall I just end up whining to Maxx, Andy, or Bounce. Sometimes all three.

“Now if you are assisting me with this, we do it my way; Freeze isn’t someone I want to just go in swinging against. We could actually help him here.”
Red Robin

“Tch.”

Damian continued looking over the scene as Drake asserted himself like his presence here was a hindrance.

His assertion that they were some kind of therapist like Gordon likened herself to be was an annoying one. Freeze had gotten out of Arkham consistently and each subsequent time he decided to go back to the exact same pattern. Steal things. Leverage technology. How many times did it take for a criminal to resist their urge? How long until they actually reformed themselves? Would they ever? Questions to be asked for someone else.

“We are here to stop him. Not engage in excessive diplomatic debate.” Damian remarked as he remained in place. “If you have a plan then you better tell me how you wish it to be executed.”
I like writing Damian. It's fun.

“Well, you’re certainly the last person I expected to receive that call.”
Red Robin, an annoyance

Damian’s eyes narrowed as he scowled at the former Boy Wonder.

Drake’s comment wasn’t surprising given the two’s particular relationship. Neither of them had let certain things go and had decidedly different approaches. A year ago the thirteen-year-old would’ve scoffed before jumping down into the fray, but Damian stayed put to ‘banter’ as some of his comrades in the Titans would put it, though he kept his eyes on the scene below. He was not one to get distracted.

“It is not something I intend to make a habit.”

Patrol routes. Numbers. Posture of experienced gang members, but nothing too alarming. Drake probably had noticed other things. He was the better detective, though Damian would never admit it out loud.

“By the way, I have a message. From Wilson. She wishes to inform you that she sorely misses ‘messing’ with you and wonders when you’ll be done pretending to be ‘your own man’.” Damian commented quietly in a tone of irreverence. It was meant to get underneath the titular Red Robin’s skin. He wondered if using his former comrades in the Titans would be useful ammo in the future.
I'll get a Damian post up before the Freeze stuff goes down.
I prefer Ang Lee's Hulk to the MCU's Hulk, actually.
Hey, OOC discussion is cool. That in mind...

What are your unpopular superhero/superhero media opinions?

For instance, considering what's been said in this thread... I didn't think The Suicide Squad was that great. 6/10-ish. It's a vast improvement over the original of course, but from the hype I was expecting something mindblowing, instead I got something that felt like a low to mid MCU outing.

Ant Man is the best MCU movie.
