“Isn't it a bit cold for a swim?”

Her hands tightly clutched the sleeves of her coat as she took in all of the information she could get at the moment. The taller girl could feel her nerves like they were on fire and she wasn’t sure what exactly was the truth of things. Old school traditions. Luck. There were a lot of things being said, but Victoria didn’t particularly trust any of it. Sofia didn’t seem like the kind of person to put on a face and make an entire ruse to make an embarrassing situation strike her classmates, but then again, that’s usually how it went with those styles of pranks. 

As she stepped forward she dropped her backpack on the ground before opening it and taking out a baby blue towel. 

“Ehh…”

Was it a hazing incident? 

Victoria Yarwood had experienced hazing before, though not quite like this. The girls back home employed much different tactics, though she wasn’t able to make heads or tails about it. Her hands were buried in her pockets with her backpack concealing the towel that she was encouraged to bring to the location at the end of the dockhouse. The waters were likely not the ideal temperature for any sort of activities, though she felt compelled none the less to show.

“Erm…” Words struggled to leave the tall girl, “I’m not sure I get it, either.”

She sighed as her eyes looked around and she joined the boy’s side with her backpack in tow. It was awkward, weird, it didn’t make any sense. She wasn’t so bold to hoist her towel over her shoulders like others and her eyes bounced across every corner as if trying to make sense of the invitation to the dockhouse. Her words felt like they were glued to the roof of her mouth as she mumbled hesitation and confusion. If she was already being hazed at this academy she felt she had failed to start a new leaf, but at the same time she had been noticed by someone all the same so it wasn’t the same old situation of being ignored either. 

“This is weird.” She finally said clearly, though with about the same confidence as before.

Pretty much all better so I'll see about getting a post up soon for this and the DC game. Sorry about the delays. 

On the upswing from the wonderful cold I got from my New Years date. My hope is I'll have time tomorrow and Saturday to churn out a much overdue post.@webboysurf

First anime DVDs I owned and pretty much a bigger gateway than even Dragon Ball Z or Robotech was. Still relatively holds up.

When it comes to how she presents herself, Victoria actually feels comfortable in the school uniform. Most often she feels lacking when it comes to her own individuality and despite years trying to fit in, nothing's really felt right for her. One could probably see her wearing clothes away from the school that feel clean, presentable, but nothing eye-catching. She often blends into crowds. She aspires to be seen, but feels utterly pathetic when she tries. Her hair, a perfectly brushed midnight black drops down just past her shoulders. Her gentle faded blue eyes hint at something inside wanting to get out, but just barely.

Victoria would be known, but also not so known. Her father is wealthy and has contributed to many political campaigns in an effort to keep the name of Yarwood Electronics at the forefront. His bold personality overshadows much, including that of Victoria. Those who know her may have attended her previous school or simply acknowledge who her father is. She’s pretty much a shadow otherwise.

Victoria’s life has always felt rather… empty.

Victoria Yarwood is one of the many daughters of an affluent Welsh family in Cardiff, led by the sole proprietor of a popular electronics and communications company. The majority of Tori’s life as such was spent under the care of people that didn’t really think much of her existence. Her childhood, although the byproduct of wealth and prestige, was riddled with problems. She was smart, but she wasn’t a genius. She was tall, but unathletic. She felt deeply about the morals of others, but was soft-spoken. The people who called themselves her friends never let her make decisions and she just fumbled behind them. Fifteen years of mediocrity, a by-the-numbers life. 

In many ways her transfer to Harbour Academy before the school year even began was a changing of directions. But will it do anything? Will it make up for her personal and moral failings in her mind? Can she find something to bring her true happiness–or will it be more of the same? Another face in the crowd, too weak and too scared to do anything to change the direction of her life? It remains to be seen.
