Rules:

General Rules:

In real life we don’t know anything about anybody until they tell us, please don’t pull from the OOC/CS and know everything about the past/present/future; we aren’t god and we aren’t all knowing.

Very rarely is it okay [for example] to stab someone’s character with no warning, to avoid things like this use fillers like;  [attempts to] stab or [tries to] stab, allowing a reaction and counter play from the other character, whom can allow the action if they choose.

If you’re a Vampire, you’re sensitive to sunlight – if you’re a demon you are repelled by holy objects; if you’re not the Alpha, or turned by an Alpha, you can’t transform until the full moon, things like that.

GM’s are trying to keep this fun for everyone; not just for specific people.

Nobody is perfect, everyone has realistic flaws and weaknesses; no exceptions.

Moving or talking for other characters to keep your story moving is fine, just don’t make any drastic or important decisions on behalf of them; it’s their character, not yours.

Just have fun! Don't sweat the little things and enjoy yourself! If you have a problem, PM any GM to handle the situation; we want to make this as enjoyable as possible for you!

Posting Policy:

A minimum of two paragraphs is required per post, post only after two other people have posted after you.

Absence Policy:

If you don’t post in a week, your character will become publicly playable for the sake of other people who are waiting on you. If you are overwhelmed by your character count, you may kill it off or make it a public character for anyone to control –please don’t make it an excuse for absence, if you don’t have time to RP as 3 characters; don’t make 3 characters, simple as that.

Killing Characters

Killing a character without consent is prohibited. The one exception is if someone quits, in which case the character will become publicly playable and may be killed off for plots-sake if desired.

Sexual Scenes:

Sexually Explicit scenes are set to a PG-13 rating IC. Describing boners or boobs is fine, just no intercourse; please fade to black IC and continue the scene in PM’s if you so desire, just keep it PG-13 in the IC because you never know who is reading.

Swearing:

Cussing is allowed –if you’re cussing profusely in every post, you might receive a notice to take it down a notch; but it is allowed.

Exceptions:

I understand that RP’s are about creativity, so I will offer a bit of slack on some posts where it’s not as drastic, however if you are a repeat offender or I get a message saying that your causing problems in the IC (-because your breaking lore, or power playing on behalf of others, etc.) you will be notified, warned and potentially asked to re-write your post.

Lore:

-Maryanne Hopkins is the Coven Leader of New Orleans and is known the most experienced witch in New Orleans by other practitioners of the dark arts.

-Witches can recognize fellow casters upon physical contact. A handshake or brushing the arm of another witch will alert both of them to the other's connection to magic. The older and more experienced the witch, the more likely he/she can identify the other's strength.

-Can only preform spells by speaking the incantation, a common punishment for witches whom have practiced magic outside of a ‘spell-locked’ zone is the removal of the tongue, leaving many citizens of New Orleans mute for the rest of their lives.

-If an Angel or Demon dies in the mortal world, they are sent to eternal purgatory; powerful witches can perform a spell to enter eternal purgatory, but must leave within the hour.

- Witches commonly use Garlic to identify vampires in a crowd. When a vampire is in the direct vicinity of Garlic, it will cause fangs to appear, watery eyes, skin rash and sneezing. 

-In witch sacred places (like ‘spell-locked’ zones), Vampires and other occults must be invited inside as a precaution; if not invited in, they shall be flung away from the sight by some unknown magical force.

 -Witches are born with all of the power that they will ever possess. They cannot gain or create more power. Some witches are quite weak and limited in their spellcasting abilities, while others are frighteningly strong. A "weak" witch may learn as many spells as she would like, but it will not increase her raw magical power.

-Angels are repulsed by satanic imagery and cannot enter places of witchcraft or wizardry.

-Prolonged sunlight exposure (+3 hours) of sun can poison and potentially kill a vampire, it’s best to stay indoors until night.

-Werewolf blood is known to be highly toxic if ingested and have a fowl taste. Ingesting werewolf blood will cause bleeding from the eyes, mouth and nose to occur, burning its way through internal organs like acid in a matter of hours.

-Human Blood is sold at Club Plasma under the pseudonym of “Blood Red Wine”, made underneath the building by beaten torture victims.

-Garlic is a natural irritant of Vampires, if swallowed it could be lethal. When a vampire is in the direct vicinity of Garlic, it will cause fangs to appear, watery eyes, skin rash and sneezing. This tactic is used by witches to identify vampires in a crowd.

-A lack of blood can cause weakness, dizziness, confusion, decreased ability power.

-Regular feeding is a necessity of vampires, one that consumes their thoughts if hungered, and a necessity that puts them in constant risk of being “discovered”.

-The touch of an Angel is said to burn vampires.

-A wooden stake will permanently disintegrate a vampire, while a silver dagger will trigger deep sleep paralysis until removed.

-In witch sacred places (like ‘spell-locked’ zones), Vampires and other occults must be invited in to protect the casters inside; many humans have escaped a vampire’s contact by running unknowingly into a ‘spell-locked zone’.

-Werewolf blood is highly toxic to vampires, and can be lethal in a matter of hours by burning though internal organs.

-Werewolf’s have inhuman senses, able to exponentially increase: vision, hearing, smelling, tasting and stamina. Because of this, werewolves are able to distinguish occult's by smells, sounds and taste.

-Known as an act of true love, imprinting occurs when a dominant werewolf and a submissive receiver swap blood with each other, linking their bodies and souls together as a spiritual bond that cannot be broken. The dominant wolf becomes the sole protector of the submissive receiver, who in turn the receiver provides unconditional companionship and love to their other half.

-Werewolf pheromones are known to make people go wild with lust, often used as a form of manipulation to get what they want; the only occult turned-off by this are Vampires, who cannot stand the smell.

-Alphas are determined by bloodline of the original werewolves, making their genetics far more powerful than those who have been turned.

-Alpha wolves are by nature more aggressive, hostile and powerful than ordinary wolves. They are superior in every way to their pack members, establishing total dominance over all other wolves; currently, the only known Alpha left standing is Nate Caterini who is a carrier of the original werewolf bloodline.

-A unique trait Alpha wolves possess is the ability transform at will, while normal wolves can only transform during a full moon unwillingly and the new moon by choice.

-Alpha wolves cannot infect individuals though a scratch or bite. To continue the strong bloodline, a pack ritual is preformed where the blood of the Alpha is consumed by a chosen being. Slowly, the chosen will begin to show wolf-like characteristics leading up to a painful and rigorous transformation. The ceremony is closed with the ‘first hunt’ in their new body. This ceremony can only be performed once throughout the entirety of the Alpha’s life.

-Contact with Silver will cause third degree burns to a Werewolves skin, ingesting or being pierced by silver is lethal if not treated quickly.

-Angels and Demons can identify the occult by physical touch, as well as many relevant details to their past.

-Angels are repulsed by satanic imagery and cannot enter places of witchcraft or wizardry. Impure blood, demonic incantations, writing demonic symbols and cutting off the wings of an Angel are ways to kill them.

-Likewise, Demons are repulsed by holy imagery and cannot enter places of godly worship. Holy water, crosses, (holy) incantations, writing holy symbols and cutting off the head of a demon are ways to kill them.

-Angels are allowed to give one miracle to a receiver throughout their lifetime, which in the RP translates to a deus ex machina plot coincidence.

-Angels do not have the power to possess people, but have the power to cast demons out of a possessed mortal.

-If an Angel or Demon dies in the mortal world, they are sent to eternal purgatory; powerful witches can perform a spell to enter eternal purgatory, but must leave within the hour. 

-The skin-to-skin touch of an Angel is said to burn vampires, the touch of a demon is said to heal vampires; this becomes void if the Vampire is not touched directly on the skin.

-Demons are known to possess unholy human bodies, controlling every aspect of their lives; or use them as a strategic way gain access into ‘spell-locked’ zones. They do not possess often though because it requires an abundance of spiritual energy, they may be cast out of a mortal body by Angels.

-The weakest and most vulnerable to the occult influence, known as the easiest group to kill.

-Are not limited by occult status, they may enter religious buildings and ‘spell-locked’ zones without an invitation.

-Many humans have escaped a vampire or werewolves contact by running unknowingly into a ‘spell-locked zone’.

-Hunted by Vampires and Werewolves for feeding due to their unique and mouthwatering taste.

-Humans excrete a pleasant aroma to Vampires and Werewolves due to their warm, succulent blood running through their body.

-Witches for sacrifices and Angels/Demons for mortal influence.

- Human Blood is sold at Club Plasma under the pseudonym of “Blood Red Wine”, made underneath the building by beaten torture victims.

-Demons can possess humans and force them unwillingly to do evil things, while Angels may set them free of a Demons grasp.
