William spent many nights awake. He found that he slept too soundly at night, so instead he slept during the day when he was a much lighter sleeper. Even then, however, he only allowed himself so much sleep at a time. This night was no different as he surveyed the broken skyline. The higher up you were, the safer you tended to be, William had figured this out early on, so when the safe house he had been in previously had fallen The Maker made himself a home atop the carousel.

He had muffled the electric motor that turned the wheel, disabled all the lights, and moved the control box from where it was mounted on the ground and worked it into the unit he now called home. The next thing he had done was set up solar panels he had scavenged from around town and wired them into batteries he took out of hybrid cars that were left in the parking lot. The carousel was powered by this contraption, and its quiet operation helped to not draw any more Zombies near. It worked well, up to that point very few Zombies had even attempted to climb up the frame after him. Even when his coughing fits had lead more of the horde towards him then he was happy to see.

He thought briefly of his daughter. She was the first person that he knew that turned, and she was the first that he had to put down for good. But, in life, in her childhood - she loved this old park. It was alive in Shoemaker's memories, just as she was, bright and vibrant. His eyes glared out into the darkness. His eyes shifted to the right as the words faded from view. He didn't need to read them, when he saw where the arrow pointed he knew what it was about.

"Trying again, aye Bushwacker?" The Maker growled, he slid the welding mask over his face and flipped the switch, the electric motor hummed and brought him down towards the ground. The zombies in the vicinity drew closer. He stopped the motor when he was about six feet off the ground. He whistled a single quick note, he opened the door to his unit and waited for the Zombies to come near. Crouching low he started cracking the skulls open of the Zombies that drew within striking range for him. It would be a long trek through the night to get there, but if William knew Bushwacker it would be worth the effort. Once the Zombies were dispatched in the immediate area, he jumped down, closed the door with his tongs and made his way, quietly, carefully towards the casino.
roleplayerguild.com/topics/90816-amnes.. thread is up in the OOC. Once we get our characters set we'll be ready to roll(play).
Below is the character sheet:

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Physical Description:
Special Skills:
Profession:
History:
Personality:

For simplicity sake we are all human on this crew, though not from earth. Nobody has seen earth in 12 generations. Where we are from, well I guess that is part of the mystery as well. Being that this is all sci-fi and such, you can choose to have bio-enhancements and the like, any abilities granted by these should be described in the special skills section.

Everybody will wake up wearing skin-thin space suits. These suits are meant for quick, light work outside or in depressurization situations. They do little to nothing to shield you from the radiations found in space. They are charcoal grey with black seam lines, but also have a few patches of color on them so everyone can tell who is who... so long as you don't suffer from amnesia. Please pick a color.
Alright, if there are any OOC questions or concerns or need an explanation of something, it goes here. Please also submit your characters for review and I will get them approved and on the road!

Once again the basic premise is this: You and the rest of the crew are on a spaceship adrift in space, with several system problems. You have almost no memory whats-so-ever. Not even your name. Luck would have it though, because at least muscle memory will help guide you through the fog of amnesia, but that will only take you so far. Will you and your crew have what it takes to regain your lost memories and restore the ship before it is too late?
Thats five, folks! I'll either get the thread up yet today or tomorrow and we can get the ball rolling. Look forward to working with you all!

Great! Welcome aboard!

I'll give it a little more time before posting the actual RP thread to see if we might ensnare another player or two.
Great! I would like one more player at least, but the plot could be modified to accept two players.

Below is my first character. He would be a C or D level character, and could probably just be a normal who is just rather intuitive.

With a shudder you awaken, the HUD glowing inside of your helmet tells you that the atmosphere is thin in the cabin. The problem is you don't remember why. "When did I fall asleep?" "When did I put on my skin-thins?" "Why is the atmo low?" and finally the big question, "What is my name?" These questions ring through your mind as you race through the halls of what must be your ship, looking for, something. You don't remember these rails, or those flashing lights, but your muscles do, and without knowing where you are heading, you bring yourself to the deck. Looking over the display council in front of you, you have absolutely no idea how to operate it.

A sudden realization that you are looking through your HUD because your solar mask is down, blocking your actual line of sight. With muscle memory you reach up and flip the switch like you knew what you were doing and when the visor lifts you find your vision is still obscured. This time, however, it is obscured by the smear of relatively fresh blood. With natural eyesight out the question you reach back up to engage your solar mask as it swishes down to cover your face once again, as your HUD flashes back on so you can see again, you hear the unmistakable sound of the gas hiss of the door opening behind you. Even without your memories you know that sound.

Facing you now is another person in their skin-thins, masks down, just like yours, except they don't have a smear of blood across their mask. "Who are you?" You both ask simultaneously. Looks like you are in this together.

-------------------

So the basic premise of the role play is your ship and its crew are adrift in space, and you and your companions simply do not know why, or you each of you are, for that matter. You have a few objectives; Figure out who you are, find out how you are stranded, fix the ship if possible, survive. Without your memories, how will you know who to trust, and the mysterious cargo aboard your ship might offer a clue, or it might just mean your demise.

I would like 3-5 players, if there is enough interest. Your characters can be just about anything, have just about any skill or ability present in a sci-fi environment. Once you submit a character sheet I'll let each of you know just what you remember, and will release this information a little at a time. The information release will happen via PM, it is up to you, the player, as to whether you want to let everybody else know what you remembered.

If there is an interest I'll set up a formalized character sheet.

I hope to post as the GM at least once a week, but will post more if everybody else posts as well. I don't care too much about people posting in the same exact order every round, so if you are available to post and you have something to react to, please, by all means, do so! Nobody takes turns in real life either.
