Practice

After taking a deep breath, Sangue glanced at the course.

On paper, Practice fit her rather well. It had much less to do with coordination and much more with her individual capabilities, unlike the other classes she took. What many others commonly misunderstood about her was that she had a somewhat impulsive nature, which was partially related to Apophis raising her and her experience when she was alone. That impulsive nature focused solely on herself- it was a selfish thing. It briefly surfaced back when she didn’t take Ben’s advice while facing the Megaladeus in class, and she continued to try fixing it.

She figured that if she wanted to get over her trait of rushing things whenever she got nervous, she needed to be more confident first. And Sangue was more confident with others if she felt less like a liability. If there was one thing BASL had taught her that Apophis hadn't, it was that a group can be its own individual entity- and she had to be a part of it to make it complete and not hold it back.

Her expression grew rigid as her feet carried her. It wasn’t wrong of her to acknowledge that she moved faster than a good portion of the students, considering her stamina and speed in themselves were disproportionately superior to her strength. But she wasn't the strongest- and keeping the bar of rectifying that was going to drive her to keep herself in check.

Dust Apps

Yun quickly (and quietly) slammed her notebook shut when the professor started her lecture, a small smile on her face while leaving no traces of recognition to her doodles.

For the most part, Yun paid attention to her professor’s words, though she would've laughed a bit at something she noticed during the lecture had it not been for the fact that she was in class. Her proper attention returned when the professor explained how the ice and fire Dust mixture worked exactly.

There seemed to be plenty of other people interested in volunteering, and she felt like watching would help her. She wasn’t too acquainted with Dust use yet, after all. Still, it didn't hurt to raise her hand, so she did just that.

Hana Dulcet

Senior Aura Control

Hana glared at Taidan for a brief moment, almost commenting on the nickname he gave the freshmen, but she barely succeeded in holding back. No, exploding for trivial reasons was unbefitting for a leader. She needed to keep her cool and understand her teammates a little better. Perhaps there was a very good reason as to why they were the way they were. Perhaps they had to do what they had to do, otherwise they wouldn’t do what they normally do.

Right?

Right!

The pencil in Hana’s hand scrunched up as she took a short breath, her smile faker than the statement, “no lawyer went to Hell.” She was only holding back because he was her team mate. Yes. And also his face was at the opposite end of “punchable.”

Hmph!

Hana listened to the professor attentively.

Professor Iderson seemed to fully understand that scribbling on a paper about Aura was less likely to save someone than actually understanding it. Hana didn’t have any doubts about that, and in fact, was rather hopeful to get some good things out of the class. Considering she had to get close and personal to push her potential to its furthest without burning out her Aura, Aura Control was by far one of the most important concepts she had to take advantage of.

She softly shook her head as the professor asked if anyone had questions, though her eyes did glaze around the classroom- mostly at her teammates in particular. She still kept most of her attention on the professor.
@Destinyfailhorror17 Nothing much actually, aside from college. I've been looking into 3d modelling and very minimally improved my art. We've been making progress with this RP so that much is amazing lol
@Destinyfailhorror17 ayyyy

how've you been?

Practice

Sangue promptly found her way to Practice.

It was hard to tell what she was thinking. Her expression refused to change frequently, after all. Some students often wondered what went through her mind, while some simply paid attention to how she looked rather intimidating to look at. For while her intentions may be far from hostile, her looks were not exactly welcoming.

Even as she gazed through the classroom, she continued to think about Lauren flying and how cool it looked to her.

Though, her thoughts died down as she remembered her teammates wouldn't be around for the class.

Quietly making her way to the seats, she noticed Emerald talking to Bianca with a questionable, but nevertheless valid grin. Robert seemed enamored by his Scroll, though Sand was next to him talking about something.

So Sangue sat alone, hoping not to bother them. She instead found herself staring at the instructor, neither expectantly nor rudely. She began thinking about what she hoped to improve in Practice.

Dust Apps

With earphones on, Yun took a seat at the Dust Apps class. She somehow managed to get past P.E. without understanding anything. But it was still pretty fun! Sports was always a good thing- especially if competition was tight. She was more of a basketball person since her neighborhood was kind of into it, but that didn't mean she was unwilling to not learn something that could be fun.

She was too impatient for golf, though. In golf, she discovered that her golfing had an exclusive affinity with water.

Yun eventually took off her earphones and crossed her arms, briefly observing the classroom around her. Everyone around her was undoubtedly competent, so she'd have to work hard- especially considering that she wasn't a prodigy like some others.

She took out a notebook and she clapped her hands once.

Alright! I'm gonna work hard in this class.

Yun started doodling in her notebook.
“We’re almost there!”

With the sea of lightning gone, Vermilla and Mark had managed to tear their way through the ashen demons that filled the cities. It terrified her, knowing that it was made of people who were unfortunate enough to get caught by the lightning. It also motivated her to try harder to survive in the midst of chaos.

“Over there! Get in NOW!” A Koran soldier yelled as one of the PSI barriers was brought down quickly for the two. Several of the men behind the barrier seemed to be equipping oddly designed firearms that seemed like they were intended to combat anything but humans.

ARK Soldiers, Vermilla recognized them instantly. They were much more heavily armored and carried around heavy weapons, whether it be rifles or great swords. She had only seen the Kora ARK Soldiers once when she had been stationed for surveillance duty in the city. Very rarely did they ever show up for combat.

But if word about them was true, they were much less in number, but far greater in power compared to the rest of Kora’s military.

As the two approached the shield’s vicinity, the sound of another wave of lightning approached from the distance.

“Another one?!” Vermilla seethed as she grit her teeth.

Both Vermilla and Mark let their feet kick harder against the ground. But while she headed towards the shield, she felt no presence next to her. Two of the ARK Soldiers took a step forward, ensuring that they’ll pull them in if the lightning suddenly sped up.

As she entered the barrier’s range, she whirled around, only to find Mark running towards where they had just come from. The two ARK Soldiers turned to each other in apparent confusion.

“What the- where are you going?!” Vermilla shouted, baffled at his sudden turn of direction. “That thunder is going to kill you!”

Without responding, Mark smiled as he glanced over his shoulder, forming a finger gun as he gave a careless salute to her direction, before making a turn around a corner.

Who is that guy? Vermilla wondered. Sure, she may have known his name, and she had seen his capability as a fighter…

But she had no idea as to who the guy actually was.

Plasma ripped through the ashen skins of demons as Ryuu swung wildly. His attacks were brazen and seemingly uncoordinated- but they were deliberately used in a way to provoke his enemies. It was a weakness he had overcome quite a while ago, but decided to use as an advantage once he understood how to coordinate his attacks better.

Athalia taught him well. But evidently, it did nothing to make him feel better about his current dilemma.

“Holy SHIT these guys come in swarms!” He growled. In a fit of rage, the sword’s plasma erupted magnificently as he slashed upwards at several demons that leapt to him, flaying their bodies as they disintegrated.

He had no idea where to go, though. And no doubt would that damn lightning come back again.

As soon as that thought came to mind, however, fate seemed to taunt him as a recently familiar sound came by. “You gotta be shitting me!” Ryuu shouted out loud as his eyes widened, red lightning sent towards his way once more.

He needed to make a run for it, but he had no idea as to where to go to. Deciding that thinking fast would help him, he started making a run for it.

As soon as he did, however, he felt something smash against the side of his waist.

Eh?

He did not turn around fast enough to see the blond man kicking him sky high.

"OW, what the helllLLLLLLLLLLLL AGHHHHHHWEHFSDIUFH-"

Ryuu flew like an angel.

And fell like a meteorite.

It was high and loud enough for practically anybody with a decent vision or sense of hearing to see or hear.

Mark Noxus grinned mischievously as he dusted his hands before leaping towards one of the buildings. As he propelled himself high in the air, he lashed out his whip and latched onto one of the light posts. He then swung towards the lightning’s direction, pulling on the whip to make sure it was just enough for him to prevent himself from grazing the lightning beneath him.

A pulse spiked within Duatos’ mind as he sensed the presence of an unknown demon.

Unfamiliar.

Unrecognizable.

Unknown.

It was not of his own creations, but one who existed far longer than the spawns in the city. One who had sentience- and power. It was clear that the power had been culminated for centuries, and he himself had yet to reclaim his divided strength. Not even a fraction of it.

This demon will not kill him. It can, but it cannot. He would not allow it. Retreat was an option, but timing it was crucial in squeezing the most out of taking advantage of the city under chaos. He had not taken as much as he wanted to… but it would come in due time, in different ways.

Death was not the only way to reclaim what was once his. But it was certainly an easy way.

His ashes floated towards the demon he sensed as the chunks of asphalt and concrete whizzed past him. And the ashes soon faded as his physical manifestation formed before the demon. Her power and appearance was unrecognizable to him.

He had yet to speak in Earth’s language. It was an unintelligible thing to him… but something that would eventually become a necessity. Instead, whispers of many voices- young, old, and forgotten- left his body, all of them speaking in unison in an ancient language directed towards the demon.

Duatos demands Eris to explain who she is.

Yep. A cast wasn't going to stop him from grabbing groceries. It also wasn't going to stop him from wearing a hoodie.

Eventually, after minutes of remaining idle, Bang drank water before putting his cup at the sink. He didn't intend on staying outside too long. Not only was there no reason for him to, but he also decided that staying in his house would be more exciting than getting himself into another accident with a cast on.

Shrugging his free shoulder, he put on his running shoes with his dark blue hoodie. It was different from the one he wore the previous night- the one he wore now had the words "Can't Be Hurt" ironically plastered on his back, with some kind of emblem he didn't think about too deeply when he bought it. If he did take a longer look at it, he'd probably have returned it.

Opening his entrance door, Bang was greeted with his peaceful neighborhood. Everything was familiar, from the neighboring houses, and a distant apartment covered partially by a short wall. There was also this girl, who-

-was everything but familiar.

Blinking, Bang stared at the girl, taking a moment to register who she was.

If he remembered correctly, she was the girl who let him indirectly confirm that he didn't die instantly from the explosion.

He remained still for a few seconds before he suddenly turned back, leaving the door open as he went to his work room. He quickly returned with a phone.

No, it wasn't the one that blew up the previous night. It was his childhood friend's brother's smartphone. She said her brother allowed Bang to use it for a day or two, but considering her aggressive nature, something convinced him that the poor boy had no choice in the matter. Unfortunately, he knew very little of how to operate a smartphone, yet he had no other phone at the moment. He'd purchase a phone eventually.

Without explaining any of the above to the girl in front of him, however, Bang promptly made a small bow to her as he stood by the opened door again. "Hello," he said simply as he decided to explain himself. "I was on my way to buy groceries."

He didn't know who this girl was, but seeing how she stood in front of his house, she undoubtedly had either followed him or just had a tendency to stand in front of doors. He believed the former.

@DarkwolfX37

It wasn't every day you came across a corpse on the ground in the middle of the night.

It also wasn't every day your phone blew up and got you in a hospital.

After being taken to the hospital, Bang was surprised to find that his body had not been blown apart at the face of an explosion. He would've been rather interested in that aspect had it not been for the fact that he also hurt everywhere.

He eventually left with a cast for his left arm. It was weird, considering his right hand had been unable to move and his left hand had at least twitched, yet it turned out that it was his left that had been hurt the most. Aside from that, he had been extremely lucky.

But even he knew luck wouldn't always save people. One bad day could've had him dead.

Staring at the ceiling of his living room, Bang went over his train of thoughts for about the fourth time that day. He could technically make the whole experience a mini novel or something, but that sounded more terrifying than anything, so he decided to just take a break. His friend insisted him on doing so.

Well, perhaps he should hit the groceries some time eventually. If he was going to stay in the house for a bit more, he might as well stock up for it. Cooking was going to be a bit harder, but it wasn't like he cooked some kind of masterpiece every day. Simple stuff would do.
