@Karos It's only day two game wise. We started yesterday morning with Octavia deciding to push past her comfort zone and travel into the world of darkness. Caezel happened to be on the scene collecting herbs, sees the angel and wants to abduct her so he can experiment on her to find a potion that will possibly extend his life. Lucius sees the red headed angel and follows suit, crossing over to the dark side to make sure she doesn't need any help but is intercepted by Uriel, who is patrolling the border.

Lucius pretends Octavia is his lady love that got lost in hopes of deceiving Uriel, while he is really yelling to Octavia (who is hiding in a tree at this point, having been frightened by all the unexpected activity in the forest) that the cost is clear.

Meanwhile, Caezel still wants to kidnap the angel, but Rida the fairy (who also followed the princess into the dark world) intercepts and distracts him. Caezel uses a potion to start a wildfire and makes his way to catch the angel but ultimately decides the situation is too crowded and heads back to Minora.

Octavia doesn't want the human Lucius to get hurt so she reveals her true identity as a princess to the demon Uriel, standing in between the two men to stop any fighting. Uriel, due to his high morals (especially for a demon!) agrees to let them leave as long as they put the fire out, which Rida does with some fancy magic!

((It should be noted that Veilia and Thalia were part of this, but since then have gone on hiatus or dropped))

Octavia takes them back to her father, the king of light, where he thanks both Rida and Lucius for bringing his girl home and promises to reward them the next day. Carson, the werewolf and the princess's royal guard, escorts the lady back to her chamber.

Meanwhile, in Minora in the land of darkness, Angelo the angel goes to play his music for the children of the little border town. Alistar, who has just come back from a mission guarding fairies, is drawn to the music and sits with the children. Naya, who has just resurrected a dead starling for about ten minutes so a little boy can say his goodbyes, also hears the music and is surprised to see an angel in the square. She goes out and asks how much she would have to pay for some of his feathers because she wants to experiment with them and he surprises everyone by simply giving them to her.

While moved by the gesture Naya does not accept handouts, so she gives him a packet of herbs to help him recoup faster when he is on his side of the border. Alistar chooses to introduce himself as a sword for hire at this point, flashing his fangs in a friendly smile, and Naya inspects his teeth by putting her fingers in his mouth.

Re'Mane has been playing with a bird skull outside Naya's shop, but it flys off his stick and hits the shop, breaking part of the skull in the process. Naya comes over to investigate and uses the lace of her boot to make the skull easier for the phantom to pick up. Angelo is getting tired from being in the dark world too long so Naya lets them (Re'Mane, Alistar, and Angelo) into her shop, Ashgrave Aromatics, to rest for a bit.

Annddddd Don the reaper is out and about reaping souls, drinking ale, and terrorizing flirty bar maids. XD

There is a ceremony in the light kingdom where the King of light grants Rida three magical fairy doll servants (slaves? I don't know light kingdom, that's a little sketchy. And you scoff at blood magic? XD ) and Lucius is given the title of sir and a position of power in the light army.

Outside the castle Kelvin is making his yearly trip to try and talk to the light King but the guards won't let him pass when they realize he's a phantom. Kelvin then gets mad and proceeds to try and get into the castle using whatever means necessary.

In the Deathwood forest (the forest between Minora and the world of light) Naya happens upon Carson while trying to gather burdock. He is naked and unconscious (a result of his werewolf transformation, but she doesn't know that yet), so the witch covers him and starts a fire, since he's too heavy for her to drag back to town on his own.

*big exhale* Phew! I think that's everything. Feel free to add stuff if I missed anything my darlings! :D
I hope these two new characters get edited so they can be accepted, cause the dark side needs more ladies. It's sort of a sausage fest over here... :P

*Cough*Naya needs some female friends, y'know what I mean? *cough*

@Ace of flames01 Wait, is there a one demon limit on here? I know they are rare, but Uriel is the only one we have in the game. Plus we have two angels and aren't they equally rare?

I'm just curious! Unless you're counting on Caezel actually killing/experimenting on one of you and figuring out a way to turn himself into a demon, in which case that sort of makes sense. ^.^
@Karos I know, right? You've even played with my Naya character before, so you're pretty well acquainted with her. :P Can't wait to see what what sort of character you make!

@Meiyuki Oh my goodness, I love your face claim for Lily so much! So pretty!
@Karos I'm 99.9% sure that @Ace of flames01 is always accepting new players for this game! :D
@Ace of flames01 Once again I made up a place name! I put that the forest in the dark world that lies between Minora and the border is called the Deathwood. If you don't like it let me know what you want me to change it to and I'll get right on that, boss!

@Soufflegirl123 I dragged Carson around a bit. If you don't like something, let me know and I'll fix it for you! ^.^
The Next Morning

There was a naked man on the edge of the Deathwood Forest.

Naya, who had traveled this far with the intention of collecting fresh burdock for a morning sickness brew she was working on for the butcher’s wife, had not fully been expecting to happen upon such a site. She blinks once, then again, then a third to be sure, but the image remains unchanged. “Curious,” she murmurs, her breath coming out in a white fog as she unshouldered her bag and let it drop to the ground before pulling her spear free from where it was strapped to her back. “Man beast, are you dead?” she calls, poking at his thigh with the hilt of her weapon.

The naked man thing does not respond. Curious indeed.

The witch takes a step closer, crouching down and gently prodding at the stranger’s lips so she could get a good look at his teeth. Naya does not find any fangs, so it is safe to assume the creature is not a vampire. A fellow human then? Maybe the poor beast had one too many ales and had tried to stumble home but ended up in the Deathwood instead? That didn’t really explain why he was nude though…

Regardless, she couldn’t very well leave him. He was smack dab in the middle of the burdock thicket and his corpse would attract all sorts of nasty predators that wouldn't hesitate to trample all over the delicate plants.

“Man beast,” Naya says again, reaching forward with a gloved hand to give his cheek a couple of firm pats. The man thing grunts, but does not awaken. “Which side of the border do you belong on, friend?” She asks, reaching forward and peeling open his eyelids. His irises are a lovely shade of chestnut. “You will catch your death out here, stranger,” the witch warns, pulling her hand back to give his face another series of taps, each one a little harder than the last.

The naked man thing refuses to respond yet again. Now he’s just being contrary.

With a sigh Naya lowers her spear, quickly peeling off her black coat and covering him as best she can, but with his front pressed against the freezing earth like it was he was still in danger of hypothermia. Even humans who lived on this side of the border where not completely immune to the harsh conditions of this world. ’We humans really are such delicate things,’ she muses as she sifts through her bag, sorting through herbs and potions in search of her smelling salts. ’Tedious.’

Eventually the brunette woman finds what she was looking for, pulling the tiny flask free. She uncorks the top, her nose scrunching up as the potent smell of salt, lavender, and ammonia fill the air. “Wake up, stranger. I can’t spare my coat for much longer,” she urges, waving the flask right under his nose and shivering as a frigid wind sweeps past them. Even wearing gloves and a thick sweater, the witch’s teeth were already beginning to clatter together audibly.

Still no response. Was he dead?

Naya peels a glove off and reaches under the coat, pressing two fingers against his neck and feeling for a pulse. It thrummed away under her fingertips and the alchemist could see the blades of grass close to his mouth shifting with each exhale. Not dead then. The lithe woman places the smelling salts on the ground directly in front of him and gets up, stomping off deeper into the thicket in search of something.

She comes back with an armful of fallen tree branches that have dried out and as much club moss as she can feasibly carry. Naya typically used the plant to treat scurvy and dysentery, but it was also known to some of the older folk as, ‘vegetable sulfur’ because of it’s highly flammable stalks. She arranges the pile of wood and makes a little nest of kindling sticks and moss before pulling out the bit of flint she’d retrieved from her satchel earlier and dragging her dagger over in quick jerks.

By the time she actually gets a spark the witch can’t feel her fingers. The woman leans down and blows over the tinder, sighing in relief when she sees a miniscule bit of smoke and the delicate glow of a flame. Naya transfers it quickly to her wood pile and nurses the blaze until takes root and becomes an actual fire. The heat of it was blissful, but the witch doesn’t stop to appreciate it, instead marching back over to the stranger and dragging him close to the bonfire. He’s heavier than he looks and by the time she is done the woman is panting slightly from the exertion. “More trouble than you're worth,” she grumbles, re-covering him with her coat and going to retrieve her smelling salts, satchel, and spear. Naya returns, pulling her gloves back on and huddling close to the fire, waiting for the man beast to wake up and the feeling to come back into her fingertips.

@SouffleGirl123
@Narcotic Dollie Is it possible to drug a ghost?

I guess that would depend on how well he can interact with other things. I'm leaning towards no, just because he doesn't need to eat or drink, so I don't imagine a drug in a liquid or pill form would do much to him.

That being said, his spirit could probably be hexed/cursed in some way, or I suppose a nicer spell could be inflicted, if you wanted something like that. ^.^

Really though, I'm just making this stuff up as I go, so don't let me stop you if you had an idea for your guy! I'm just saying if you come to Naya, she'd probably try to sell you on a spell (Or some kind of talisman, if your character can hold things besides his sword) over a potion.

@Soufflegirl123 Post incoming this morning! :D

The next morning, the chiming of bells echoed throughout the kingdom of light, as the first lights of dawn poked through the sky. Villagers and a few aristocrats had gathered in the throne room, wherenthe king sat upon his regal throne and Octavia stood beside him, awaiting the upcoming ceremony. The room was veiled in a hushed murmers as the people talked of the events and rumors of yesterday's events.

@Jangel13 Ace's last post makes me think so.
I'm so sorry for my hiatus, things got crazy for me in real life. I should be good now though!

D-did I miss a time skip? So my next post should be tomorrow morning, right?

@Ace of flames01 And yes, Naya would be glad to make you a love potion but it probably won't have the affect you were hoping for...

Love potions are notoriously fickle things. It may or may not make your would be lover so crazy obsessed with you that they try and murder anyone they think you might love more. Like your father.

And don't be jealous of Naya, they might think she's neat now, but most of them will turn tail the second she starts choppin' up corpses for spare parts. Being a witch is a bit off putting as far as romance goes. Who wants to be with a girl whose idea of an updo involves weaving bird skulls into her hair?

Well, except Re'mane. <3

@SouffleGirl123 Yes, Naya can find your guy and drag him back to her shop. But Ashgrave Aromatics does have an enchanted candle that flashes certain colors for different races, so it'd give you up as a werewolf. I'm completely fine with that, I just wanted to make sure you were too!

Naya would be terrified and angry all at once!!!

She could always just wake you up, if you wanted and Octavia could come find you. Which ever you think is best! ^.^

@Gate Keeper Welcome to the game, darling! :D
