Miss Creme politely shook her head. She didn't want to risk upsetting the lord, or getting poisoned. "I'll hold off Miss, if that's alright. I'll stick to these." She reached into her purse, and extracted a small hard peppermint candy, and plopped it into her mouth. How she loved these, cool, with just the right kind of bite. As she sucked, She gave a bigger smile to Madam Mauve, and, with her candy in the side of her mouth. "I'm fine Miss! Thank you for asking." She said. Though there was the candy in her mouth, her voice sounded almost indistinguishable from normal. She curtsied before her, and said, "Pleased to meet your acquaintance."

She did hope the worries that had come over her weren't too apparent. She didn't want people to be concerned for her, when there were obviously much more important things happening right now. She took a seat at the table, waiting for Blush to finish eating, and continued to look at Mauve and Blush, "This is such an interesting place, I'm sure few outside of the family have seen it." She said, and rested her hands on the table, before hopefully saying, "Maybe we'd like to join them, if they'd have us, Miss Blush?" She asked. She wanted to meet as many other guests as she could, but she still wanted to stay with Blush, so she would stay with her if she didn't wish to go.

Bart paused for a moment, and frowned. He wanted to look in there, be useful, and find out what was going on. But Alexandra had a point. There was a reason police roped off crime scenes, so that passersby didn't contaminate anything. They were the passersby in this case, and they had to do only what they were told to do. Acting on their own wouldn't impress anybody, it would at best be useless and detrimental at worst. He closed the door he had just opened, and turned back to face Alexandra, and nodded. "You're right." He said, a bit of a drag on his voice.

"Well, in that case, James' is getting an adult." He said, "The best thing we can do is wait." He said, forcing a smile, and exhaling as he spoke. He hated feeling useless, and that's exactly what he was right now. He didn't know what he was supposed to do right now. "We're on "recess" so we might as well take advantage of it." He made air quotes with his hands. If they were to have this time off, the one thing he could do without pissing anybody off was surely doing nothing. "I think I'm gonna go to the library, you can join me if you like." He said, walking away from her. That was his go to time killer here, and he had nothing but time right now. Walking back downstairs, he stepped into he study, and started browsing for something to read.

Adalene thought for moment, "Yeah sure, I haven't been there in a while." It was one of the more touristy things to do in her opinion, she had only really visited right after coming to New York the first time, and when her parent had come to visit. She could do to get out and do something fun, so she was more than happy to pay a visit. Plus, more teleportation on an empty stomach might be good for her acclimating to it. That being said, she had thrown up most of what she'd eaten for the day, and would soon need to find something to snack on. There were plenty of places near Central Park where she could grab a bite, so it sounded like the place to go.

She finished putting her groceries away, and stepped back over towards the couch. "I'm ready to go when you are." Thinking ahead, she braced herself for teleportation. It seemed to help last time, so maybe the trick was being prepared for it. She then added awkwardly, "If you don't mind 'porting us there, that is." She smiled at her. Really, even with the vomiting, it was way better than a Lyft. Hell, if they stayed together for awhile, they could visit all kinds of places. The possibilities were endless.

Creme quickly followed behind Blush, nodding along at her words. It would be a long night, and anything they could do to pass the time would be welcomed. As they stepped into the breakfast room, she noted that several others had also ventured here. Sticking close to Blush, she nodded. It'd been a very long day, and she could use something to eat. "But Miss, I don't know how fitting it would be for us to help ourselves to our host's food." She said, her face turning into a small frown. She didn't want to impose any more than they surely already were, especially with a stowaway somewhere here. It'd be much safer to er on the side of caution, and lay low.

Her hands behind her back, she looked at the others in the room. None of them seemed to give her a bad feeling, nothing like tat one man from earlier. They all seemed quite alright. She gave a small, quiet smile at them, but said nothing. Shifting a little more behind Blush, she looked up at her and said quietly, "And after hearing the Lord talk, I don't know how much we should trust anything he gives us." She didn't like assuming that the Lord would go out of his way to poison them, but again, she thought it wisest to prioritize her safety. Especially after hearing how the Lord addressed them, she figured he had something akin to contempt for them.

Bartholomew's lips pursed at Jame's words, frantic as they were. What he could take away from him left him worried. Best he could tell, Alicia had disappeared in front of him, which sounded like an occupational hazard he hadn't yet been warned about, which made him consider the thought of some kind of foul play, even if he had no idea who could perpetrate such an act. That would be something he still needed to sit and think on. He nodded as James left in search of an Emendator, and said, "Yeah, let's check up there, maybe we'll find something." He then left the room, and headed upstairs, unsure of what he'd find.

On the way up the stairs, he took a moment to consider the shit show this was turning into. Now, by his count, they were down their most important Emendator, and their most experienced Paradox. Part of him thought this might be some sign of attack, but that didn't quite add up to him. If something was powerful enough to be able to make Alicia and Evelina just disappear, he couldn't help but feel like they'd all already be dead. To him, that meant that, unlikely as it sounded on the face of it, that these were two independent events. By all counts though, it was still pretty shit. Approaching Alicia's door, he waited for Alexandra to catch up, before opening up the door and stepping in.

"Bite me" were the first words out of Adalene's mouth at Emmie's taunting, holding her head in her hands. She felt dizzy, but she'd be fine after a few seconds. She took whatever groceries were left, and headed to the kitchen, starting to put them away. "Thanks for the help Emmie." She said, as she opened the fridge. Now she had saved a ton of time, which put her in the relatively rare situation of having unplanned free time. Thinking for a second, she figured she could see what Emmie wanted to do, and spend her time that way.

"So, anything you wanna do now?" She asked, turning to face her. She walked past her, putting some food stuffs away in a small cupboard. She didn't really know what Emmie even did in her free time, but she wanted to find out. Finding more out about the woman who lived in her house could only be a good thing. Best case scenario, they actually had a lot in common, and worst case, she liked to light children on fire and Adalene would have cause to kick her out. "I'm down to do anything, if you have ideas." She tacked onto the end.

Miss Creme shivered for a moment at the idea of being made to go back outside. No, she liked staying protected from the elements, and she knew there'd be no chance of her being able to sleep outside. She was very happy when this idea seemed to be tossed to the side rather quickly, instead it seemed as though they may be residing in the servants quarter, something she took no issue with whatsoever. She might even get a chance to talk with the help, something she'd be very keen on doing. She knew very well that servants often heard or saw all kinds of things. Knowing a bit more about their hosts could serve them well.

Once Jasper had run off, she turned to Blush, interested in what she had said. "That makes sense, to be honest though, I'm a bit afraid after hearing to Lord speak." She said meekly. She then looked around the room, seeing people start to disperse. "Where should would you like to go?" She asked. This place was gigantic, and she had no idea where to even start. That, and she wouldn't want to make Blush just follow her around wherever she wanted to go. From what she gathered, Blush liked to take charge, so Creme was fine with letting her. She leaned back on the couch, resting her eyes on Blush, her face neutral, with her lips pursed to one side.

Bart frowned for a moment, wishing she would talk to him, but that wasn't his place to push. He nodded at her words though, surprised by her ability to be as forward with her emotions as she seemed to be. It was always easier to lie and not admit pain, but Alex seemed to take the hard route, and be forward about how she felt. With that simple action, she had earned his respect. He was at least pretty certain though, that whatever had happened between Nancy and her, it was rough. He still had to talk to Nancy and see if she would tell him what happened, but he honestly didn't know how Nancy would respond. She could do anything between telling him to buzz off and showing him first hand. He'd need to carefully consider exactly how he'd go about further investigating this before he went any further. "No problem..." He said as she brushed past him. It was around this time when he had taken notice to Jame's hollering like a mad man in the next room over.

Following Alexandra into the room, he gave James a surprised look, if Alicia was gone, that couldn't be a good thing. His first instinct was to go find an Emendator, but he realized, given the volume with which James was delivering this message, one of them probably already knew. "Calm down and tell us what happened from the beginning." He said calmly, if there was one thing he learned from his training with Eve, freaking out and acting rashly was the last thing in the world he wanted to do right now. "Panicking won't get us anywhere right now." Even though he was saying these things, he still felt a kind of pit in his stomach. The worry caused by this made him want to act, to do something, but he forced that down for now.

Adalene made a small hum when she noticed Emmie stealing some candy. Of the things Emmie could pick to steal, Adalene wished it was something more worthwhile than that. However, she did seem pretty smooth in taking them, maybe she could get Emmie to show her a thing or two. Not that Adalene would steal in the way she was right now, but it would be a useful skill to have. Adalene nodded at the clerk, paid, her, and quickly followed Emmie out of the market.

Once they were safely out of earshot of anybody who might care, Adalene said, "Yeah." Steeling herself for the vomit that might be soon to come. She took her hand, and as she did she said. "By the way, grab anything besides the M&M's?" With a coy smile, figuring Emmie didn't realize Adalene saw her. In any case, she clenched her stomach, closing her eyes and hoping that expecting it would mitigate the nausea. In any case, she might not blow chunks if her stomach was empty enough from the first round of teleportation.

Miss Creme was delighted to see Blush quickly found her way to her. She smiled at her friend and nodded, quickly following after her. Blush did seem quite nice, and at this point Creme wanted to see if she could learn more about her companion. Smiling as she was offered a spot next to Blush, she graciously took it, finding it much more comfortable than her seat on the way here. "You seem so comfortable here." She said with a small smile, "Are you used to going to parties like this?" She asked, tilting her head. That wouldn't surprise Creme at all, with the grace that she seemed to exude.

As the door closed, her attention was quickly drawn to the Lord. She felt small just looking at him. As soon as he started speaking, she put her hands over her mouth, horrified at what he was saying. It was horrible in the first place that somebody was here who wasn't supposed to be, but that he seemed intent of killing the person who wasn't supposed to be here. A look of worry crossed her fac as she looked over to Blush, hoping for some kind of reassurance that everything would be okay. In any case, it sounded like she'd be stuck here until the intruder was found. She nodded mutely at the Lord, all the blood run out of her face, leaving her pale as could be.
