Creme turned her head as Amaranthine pointed at her, and covered her face for a moment. She wasn't used to being noticed, or paid much mind in general. What surprised her even further, was when she was beckoned forward by the pianist, and nodded, crossing the room over to her. She was about to explain that she wasn't much for playing, when she said something much more interesting. She wanted to talk to her, but it seemed she'd rather keep whatever it was between the two of them. This was odd, since, best to her recollection, they hadn't spoken yet. This might have worried Creme given the themes of the night, but the woman looked about as imposing as Creme herself did, so she didn't feel any fear.

Sitting next to her, she turned to face Amaranthine, she let a small smile dance across her lips. "Would they?" She asked, as the woman began to play. She quite liked the sound of her playing, not having many chances to listen to music herself, she took a quiet moment to enjoy it. Returning to the matter at hand, she nodded ,"That's very interesting Miss." She remarked, and continued, "You can call me Miss Creme by the way." She informed her, hoping she'd be given some way to address her in kind. She hesitated for a moment, and took a quick look around the room, before lowering her voice and saying, "Now... Is there something you'd like to discuss?" She inquired delicately.

Adalene followed her out of the shadows, and nodded as Emmie confirmed her expectation. Life couldn't be easy for her as a homeless person in the city, and it showed a certain resilience that she'd toughed it out as long as she did. She smiled at Emmie's sentiment about train riding, she'd never quite found them too comfortable, too crowded for her taste. But she figured it was a pretty important tool for moving around the city, especially when you woke up and didn't know where you next meal was coming from.

She shook her head, and said, "I'm fine, but if you need a break, we can take one." She did, however, graciously take the water bottle from her. She cracked open the top, and drank about a quarter of it. She could looked around the terminal, trying to keep an eye out for anybody that might seek to pickpocket or steal from them. The subways weren't the safest place, especially for those wishing to keep their possessions to themselves.

Bart smirked at her calling him Squirt. For all the time they spent together, it almost felt like a term of endearment. He nodded along with her. "I get you." He said, "Rome wasn't built in a day, so they say.". He'd never had to live through a zombie apocalypse, so he could only imagine the personal demands it could impost on a person. Even though he knew others here were from that timeline, and didn't seem to have Faith's personal method of dealing with it, he supposed it would affect all people differently. He stepped away from the house, and started down the main road towards the grave. He took the occasional look behind them as went, wanting to not be caught unawares if somebody from the circus happened to be following after them.

Since they had a few moments, he decided to take a second to get Faith's insight, "It's no secret your intuition for these things are far better than my own." He started, turning his head towards her to address her. "What's your take on these people?" He himself felt a gut distrust of them, given the circumstances of their arrival. The collapse of the Ferris Wheel was the biggest factor for him. There was something they didn't know, and that itched in the back of Bart's mind in a way that upset him greatly. Knowledge was power, and it seemed like there were enough unknowns to fill the swamp. It was a kind of powerlessness he didn't take kindly to, so he was glad that they were going to hopefully gain some kind of deeper insight to the situation.

Crossing to the end of the room, Creme quietly stepped into the Lunar Ballroom, and quickly looked for a place on the side to stand and wait. She drew breath, and stepped to the left of the door, a bout halfway between the entrance and the leftmost point the the room, along the perimeter. Giving a yawn, her eyes were quickly drawn to Amaranthine, who looked like she might be about to play for them. Creme could certainly do with some music right about now, especially if it would draw attention away from herself once people started to arrive. She would keep an eye on the door however, hoping to soon have Blush rejoin her.

Realizing that she was in a ballroom, Creme made a worried, "Hmm" at the realization that she may, for whatever reason, be expected to dance. That was a skill that was well outside her wheelhouse, and she hoped, somehow, she might avoid that. The last thing she'd want is to make a fool of herself in front of all the people that were sure to be in attendance. This reaffirmed her choice to stay out of the way in the closest thing to a corner she could possible find in a round room. Out of sight, out of mind, was her motto, and she intended to live it to the fullest for the foreseeable future.

Adalene gritted her teeth, determined not to let the nausea overtake her. "Nuh-uh." She said. She glanced around her, and thought for a second. She didn't have a map of New York in her head or anything, but she knew that was pretty far uptown. She'd never been in a maintenance area like this one before, so she took a second to look around. "Neat." She nodded. She knew a few homeless people slept here, especially during the winter, when they were a damn sight warmer than the frigid cold brought on by New York winters.

"So why'd you decide on here?" She asked. Maintenance rooms were cool and all, but they weren't exactly here idea of a fun time. "Is there somewhere around here you wanna go?" She asked. Or hey, maybe they were going to check out the subway network, that'd be unique and cool. And even if they were caught, it wasn't like they were going to actually get in any trouble, seeing as they could blink away at a moments notice.

Bart frowned, but acquiesced, saying "Alright, sure, we'll go to the grave." He was surprised to see Andromeda walk off at the first sign of disagreement. He guessed she had her own goals, which was fine, but if she had stayed a bit longer they would've all gone together. He smiled at Faith's reason for wanting to go with him, "Consider getting on better terms with the others though, we'll all need to have each others backs eventually." He suggested. He couldn't blame her for wanting to work with him though, with the amount of training they did together, they were probably the best pair of Paradoxes on the camp right now.

He started the way out of the Kitchen House, and headed down the road on the way to the Barn. The presence of the Carney's had put him off, for two main reasons. For one, though the Emendators seemed very knowledgeable, this seemed to be a gap in what they knew about the world. For all their knowledge of different words and timelines, this caught them off guard. The second cause for worry followed from the first; To him, the existence of Emendators was akin to meeting gods. It shook up his worldview so thoroughly, and was incompatible with his previous understanding of how things worked. What if this was another step up in the multiversal hierarchy? He'd heard the name "Management" tossed around, so maybe that's exactly what this was. It would certainly explain how they managed to enter the timeloop. Granted, this was all conjecture, but it was food for thought.

Creme was surprised Jasper had addressed her, and gave a quiet shake of her head, "Oh, I'm just passing through." She said quietly, "To um, get to the Ballroom. So sorry for the confusion." She explained politely, before starting off to the next room. She felt awkward after that. She supposed that her excusing herself must've attracted his attention. That wasn't the reaction she wanted, she simply wanted to be able to pass by him without seeming rude. Instead, she needless attracted the attention of a busy and important man. Putting her eyes forward, she hurried her way out.

Crossing into the next room, she was relieved as the ballroom was now in sight. She hoped it wouldn't be too full yet, given that she must've been one of the closest to the room when the announcement was made, she couldn't think that it would be yet. Between the ejection on the train ride and the stabbing earlier, tonight just was not on track to be a good one for her. Granted, things had honestly been bad for awhile, ever since the blackmailing started. But she knew her luck would turn around sooner or later, and why not have it happen tonight?
