Eliza shuddered as a blast hit her again. This wasn't her best day so far, even if things had been going pretty well beforehand. She supposed there was a learning curve to this whole x-woman thing, but acknowledging that didn't help mitigate the pain in any way. Scurrying through the door, she found the nearest spot that gave her total cover, and relaxed a bit. "Anybody have any tips on not getting hit?" She sputtered, rubbing her burns in an attempt to calm down the pain a bit. "Y'all make this stuff look easy, but it ain't." Looking around a bit, she hoped the Chitauri weren't following them, needing a break from dealing with those monsters.

As she took a short reprieve, she looked at Antoinette and said, "How on earth do we plan for something we know nothing about?" This Surfer character was a big question mark as far as she was concerned, and wasting time planning would only give him more time to prep for them, "I say we strike while the iron is hot, rush in there, and grab the nullifier as fast as we can. Best I understand it, our goal is that. Once we have it, we get out of there." That seemed like the best course of action to her, and short of the time it took her to regain her composure, she didn't want to waste a second.

Location:Ship

The ship was something to be beheld, if not just for the sheer size of it. The wonder of it all just wasn't enough to keep him from his gloom though, and it was starting to irk him how hard these feelings were to shake. He'd considered before the idea of an afterlife fundamentally comforting, that it would make death something nothing to fear, but now he understood things a bit better. There was something that put him at ease about the fact that he knew Ash still lived on in one form or another, but the fact that he wouldn't be seeing her for a very long time stung almost as much as the idea that he'd never see her again.

He considered Andy's offer for a moment, unsure if he wanted to be alone or not. He was initially planning on wandering the ship sure, but being alone might hurt him more than help him in the long run. Sequestering himself from everyone would just let this pain brood, and he couldn't afford to let that happen. He needed to train still, to fight on for something. Being a lump and sad about everything would just put the others at risk, if something dangerous were to happen on their journey, and then he'd be responsible for the death of somebody he cared about, and that couldn't come to pass. So he nodded at Andy and said, "Yeah, let's take a tour. Help get our minds off things, you know?"

Oliver gave a hmm at Crystal's response. That didn't quite mesh with the teams response to what he did. If people could end up fine after multiple terrigenesises, the fear over what happened to Matt wouldn't've happened. This seemed at least nonstandard, if not impossible. That told him that they were missing some key piece of information. As they continued into the palace, and heard what Medusa had to say, he pursed his lips. No, if the flooding was intentional, and not some kind of malfeasance, then there was only one variable left, the mist itself. Thinking for a moment, he posed a question to the queen.

"Is this the same kind of Terrigen mist we've seen before, or is the risk from multiple terrigenesis somehow mitigated from it?" He asked, looking over to Medusa, "I assume you wouldn't risk virtually guaranteeing the death of all of Earth's inhumans as a result of that, or is there something else we're all missing here?" The only other possible explanation, was that these fully realized inhumans were so powerful that, even if their existence were incredibly rare, it would be worth the risk. Those were the only two ways to make the numbers add up to him; Lower the probability of death, or increase the positive impact of success.

Looking up towards where the conductor's voice came from, Elizabeth grimaced for a moment. Whatever reason they were here, it couldn't be good. The Ministry probably didn't make a habit of wasting the time of their Aurors, or of Hogwarts. The only thing she could think of, would be that those Death Eaters were somehow on the train. That seemed impossible, but she knew there were ways for people to impersonate others, namely, Polyjuice potion. If the Death Eaters were so inclined, she knew they could get themselves on the train with relative ease. That was something that worried her, the thought that anybody here could be somebody out to kill her filled her with a kind of indescribably dread.

Taking a look around the room, she hoped she could gleam some kind of insight into if everyone here was who they said they were, but she couldn't get a pin on anybody. They all seemed to be acting natural as could be, given the situation. Now, she had to deal with the first years, and keep them from freaking out, so she took a knee and leaned up close to Beatrice. "Mintfree? Scared?" Elizabeth gave a playful scoff, "That lass is the toughest witch I know, and I'm me." She smiled at the girl, hoping to calm her down, "Now, I dunno why the Aurors're are 'ere, but I do know that they've got our best interests at 'eart. We're gonna be absolutely fine, 's long as you stay 'ere." Elizabeth stood up for a moment, before re-positioning herself in front of the exploding snap game, "Now, how's 'bout we get to playin'?"

Elizabeth rocked back as she was shot, burns on her body writhing in pain. A part of her had been wondering what it actually actually felt like to get shot with one of those weapons, and now she wish she didn't know. Burning pain sucked, in that it had a kind of duration other types of pain lacked. Her skin felt hot, and sat in a discomfort that refused to fade. The fact that one of these things hit her pissed her off to no end, and without really even thinking about it, she drew her arm, and went ballistic, firing shots at the Chitauri that left her feeling like this. As the monster fell, she fired again at its corpse out of pure anger; even if it wasn't practical, it felt good as hell to do that.

"Evacuating sounds like a good idea, yeah, can anybody cause a good distraction to get us there?" Holding her gun arm with her other hand, she looked at the group. She didn't have much in the way she could do right now, but the fireworks that just went off seemed like as good a thing as any. "That works!" She decided, and ran through the room to the other end, slamming her body against the door. Instinctively , she reached for the door handle with her gun arm. Unsurprisingly, she wasn't able to get it open with it, and she instead turned her back to the wall, and moved out of the way for the next person who made it to this side, so she wouldn't be in the way.

Following tightly after his sister, Arthur found himself climbing up the the ship, ready to leave this place behind for the time being. He could sense the uncertainty in Andy's words, and he knew that he should probably have more reservations about this entire thing than he did right now, but he couldn't bring himself to worry. He just figured that any risks imposed by being on this thing were minimized; being a dmeigod was dangerous, but not because the camp was reckless. That was the operative theory for him anyway.

Reaching the deck of the ship, he cleared way for anybody behind him, making sure he wouldn't get in the way. A part of him wanted to disappear, check out the interior of the ship as an excuse to get away from people, but he figured he could hold himself here for a few more minutes at least, up until they had to go. After that? He planned on getting some much needed space. This ship seemed large enough that he could hopefully wander it, and not be quickly found. Something about that idea, he found comforting, squirreling himself away from the others, at least for a little while.

Oliver felt an odd juxtaposition of relief and shame, glad he wasn't getting punched in the face, but upset with the fact that he had endangered the crew. Fumbling around as they prepared to get off the ship, he silently reached for a mask, figuring he'd be needing one now. Affixing it to his head, he rubbed the back of his head, thoughts swimming with everything that had just happened. "Uh, sorry if this is a weird question, but you're an Inhuman yeah?" He asked,, addressing Crystal, "Why isn't the mist affecting you?" Granted, Inhumans were a pretty big gap in the things he knew, that didn't seem to mesh with what he knew now.

He game a nod at Tempest, before giving a slightly annoyed look at Maria. He didn't like being talked down to, even if he just fucked up big time. "Right, I figured that much." Hopefully that meant that his parents were still his parents, just as ignorant as he was, but he'd need to see if he could have them tested as soon as possible. This would at least be a phone call he'd need to make soon. Breathing a sigh of relief as Matt emerged, he nodded, "You look fine, far as I can tell. I'm so sorry. That was stupid of me." Giving a sympathetic look, he just hoped everyone didn't hate him now. As he continued, he followed along with the group, moving onward to meet this Medusa person.

Elizabeth smiled at Fae's amended statement, "Aye, I can agree to that, I'm about as much fun as a stripper on payday." At this time, she started leading the group towards the Exploding Snap carriage. "And fer the record, I ain't stooping to their level." She said, giving Maddy a look, "When the trashman scoops up shit, he ain't becomin' the shit, he'd doing what has to be done." Truly, Elizabeth's hatred for that group knew almost no bounds. As far as she was concerned, they were a bunch of degenerate scum, and she wasn't about to abide by their racist bullshit, especially when it was directed her way.

She was excited at least, to get her mind off of this and get her year started off right; by watching some nerds play a game of Exploding Snap. Hell, she might even join in on the fun, see if she could get her opponents to play a little more carelessly than they should. Arriving at the compartment, she gave a swift knock on the door, before forcing it open, and announcing their presence to the room. "Oi, you lot, we heard a fun game was goin' on in here, me friends and I wanted to see if we could watch, how's that sound?" She asked, putting on her sweetest voice. "Maybe we could join in too? Anythin' to pass the time till we get to Hogwarts."

Moving towards the Chitari room, Elizabeth shrugged at Lance. "Yeah, sorry. Hopefully this gives him time to process a little." She tried to at least make him see the bright side of it. Learning he was a hulk couldn't be easy for him, she didn't want to make it harder, even if she didn't know him too well. As they neared the door, Eliza frowned. She'd heard of these things, given the damage they did the New York a few years ago. The thought of fighting them filled her with a kind of pride, almost like the world was giving her a chance to punch back at the creatures that struck her planet.

With that in mind, she stretched her new arm out, trying to shift it into a weapon so she'd have something to fight with. Frowning when it refused to listen to her, she flexed it a bit, and then remembered the lesson she learned earlier; Stark tech was responsive to percussive maintenence. Smashing her arm into the wall, it shivered for a moment, and then morphed into a blaster. "Alright, let's show these guys what Earth can do." She remarked, as the door opened. Quickly, she scanned for a target, and found one: A console that would hopefully go boom when fired at. Leveling her arm at it, she took a deep breath, and focused on her target. Firing away, the energy blast slammed into the console dead on, eliciting a few sparks. Disapointed in her shot, she frowned for a moment, before the console exploded, sending metal across the room. Her face broke into a grin as she saw some shrapnel smack into the Chitari. That wa smore of what she was going for.

"Massive flying ship is safe. Got it." He said, blinking. All he could think was that there was no way something like that was at all inconspicuous. Wouldn't people take note of something like that? Or was the Mist that strong? Either way, it was a lot to take in. But, he just had to keep rolling with the punches. This was the way things were now, and even if they were totally different, that just meant things were following a different set of rules. Arthur nodded with Des, "Let's go, I wanna get out of here." A change of scenery would help, he thought, give him a chance to sort through his feelings without constantly thinking of her.

The thought of monsters coming after them left him with a sense of dread, but the older kids seemed fine with it. This must just be one of the things Halfbloods had to get used to, especially if they ventured off camp. Monsters and demigods went hand in hand, it seemed. With that knowledge, he was grateful that Rebecca would be helping him hone his abilities on this journey. He didn't want to feel useless, or even worse, helpless ever again. This would help him with that, give him a way to protect himself and keep him, and the people he loved, safe. He didn't even know exactly what he could do yet, but he hoped that being a son of the god of the underworld had some benefits.
