Arthur was visibly surprised that it wasn't Persephone who sent them the letter and gift, but he took it in stride. "Oh, um, well, there is something you could help us with, if you'd like." He said, starting to talk, trying very hard not to think about the power differential between the two of them. "We're in need of the Doors of Death, and well, maybe you know where those are? Or could you ask... Dad?" He still felt weird saying that about Hades, but it was the most accurate descriptor that he thought would result in the least immediate backlash from Persephone, so he went with that.

He also waved at Stella with Andy, eager to meet and talk to her when he got the chance, but he wanted to devote his attention to Persephone for now. He was clearly nervous about talking to a Goddess, but being too obvious about that fact made him worried. He didn't want to seem disrespectful, or even that he expected that her help would be guaranteed from the outset. Her help was important in finding the doors, and so was not being turned into the possum by her, or any number of terrible fates that the divine could bequeath unto mortals.

An Oli of months or even weeks ago would have shuddered at Tony's threat, but he merely exhaled and said, "Trust me. I do." Yelling at the infantile god of a man right now would only make things worse, and they had more important things to worry about than the ego of Stark being bruised from him breaking into a system in his pursuit to help save the world. On the much more important note of dealing with the skull threat, he felt iffy about trying to negotiate peace between the intergalactic Hatfields and Mccoys, but that might be the best for everyone, even if he didn't make it a top priority over the safety of the planet.

A brief alternative plan ran through his head, instead, if they killed the queen, they could stage a fake battle with the newly allied skrulls, and make the confrontation look as close as they wanted, but then he stopped, a pause in his thoughts. He thought back to the fears he saw in the hospital, and evil Oliver, one that stopped caring about any form of greater good. It occurred to him that, being jaded, or singularly focused on goals regardless of the broader consequences was exactly the sort of thing that would lead to him becoming that. With that in mind, he nodded and said, "If we need an Earth representative, I can't think of anybody better than Steve Rogers." he suggested. He was just about the most moral man he could think of, his integrity would make him excellent for the job.

Arthur nodded at Andy, and tucked the bag in his pocket. That would be a good combination attack, and he needed things that he could fight with that weren't knives. He didn't want to be so abjectly violent. But a swarm of metallic objects getting hit by a lightning bolt sounded like a very good way to deal with all kinds of threats. He liked the modularity that this new weapon provided, and he would begrudgingly thank whatever entity gave them to him. Spiteing deities who give you gifts seemed like an obviously way to get cursed or murdered, so he'd stay away from it.

As they approached the climbing tower and saw the goddess, Arthur was initially confused at why she was there, and then it clicked for him. She was the wife Hades, or, consort, however that worked. She was the one who summoned him here, and she was probably the one who gave him the marbles. She may also know where the doors are, so he had to approach her, one way or another. Approaching her, he stumbled over his words for a moment, saying, "Hi... step-mother? Persephone? Goddess? I'm sorry, I'm not totally sure how to address you. I'm um, pretty sure I got your gift and message so... thank you for that." There was a fear running through him, but this was what he had to do.

It didn't exactly surprise Oliver that Tony was willing to call in a drone strike over Oliver being good enough to make the God of technology bleed, of all the Avengers, Anthony Edward Stark had the largest ego by far. But, by this point, he was used to being threatened by Iron man, even if the one who'd been threatening him may or may not have been a skrull, he was still unclear on that fact, so he just said, "I may or may not have looked through the Avengers databases... several times. All for the greater good, I promise." He said dryly, and he wasn't wrong, but honesty was better, he knew he couldn't hide anything from Iron Man in the long term.

Focusing more on the Skrull princess in front of them, he frowned. He didn't want to seem space racist or anything, but he was just about done with these aliens. This was war, and he didn't like the idea of trusting her, but it would probably be the best option to make sure the Skrull leave. "Cut off the head of the snake and the body will die, I get that but, wouldn't us being a skrull ally make us a target for the Kree? Or are they gonna leave us alone?" Oliver's number one priority, at the end of the day, was Earth remaining free, and he wanted to maximize the chances of that.

Arthur held Andy's hand tight, and gave Mads a side hug, not letting Andy go even for a moment. He nodded at her, and said, "Thank you so much, I'll check in with any info I can get on where The Doors might be, hopefully I'll have something before we have to leave, but if not, I'll keep trying and send an Iris message when I have something." That was the play, the best he could tell. He couldn't think of any other way to try to go about it, at least. A part of him wondered if Apollo might be able to lend information, the location of a legendary object would seem to him to fall into the domain of the god of prophecy, but that would be a fall back.

As Mads walked away and the bag and book materialized on the ground, and looked down at it, picking it up to inspect it. Reading the note within, he turned to Andy and said, "Change of plans, Climbing tower, somebody wants one of us, and I'm not a fan of ignoring magical books that pop up out of nowhere. But also! Marbles." He said, reaching into the bag and pulling out a fistful, before handing them to Andy to show what had materialized in front of them, briefly letting her go, before gesturing off in the direction of the tower, ready to go towards it when she was.

As they they started to launch into introductions and initial tests, a thing connected in Oliver's brain. There was a solid chance that he'd only ever been caught hacking by skrull Tony Stark, in which case, he was totally clean with the real Tony Stark. "Hey, Mr. Stark, I gotta ask, does the name Oliver Sullivan mean anything to you?" Oliver Sullivan asked, going to great lengths to attempt to conceal the fact that he was, in fact, Oliver Sullivan. If any of his friends attempted to betray fact that he'd hacked into several of Stark's systems, he may never forgive them.

And now Kwassi was going off about robots. A part of Oliver groaned internally, he'd been... hypervigilant in the past, and prone to impulsive outbursts, so he could imagine that there was something going on in his brain that made him say that, but it was still a little cringe. Oli made active efforts to fade into the background though, and let people think about that, rather than his very self incriminating question to the third smartest man in the world. But hey, at least he wasn't the one being yelled at for a change, while Kwassi was his friend, he was going to lavish that for a moment.

Arthur nodded at Mads, he didn't know if he could get an audience with his dad, but hell if he wasn't going to try. The man had been absent his entire life, if he denied Arthur one conversation that was could help save his friend from suffering in his own domain, he wasn't worthy of being called a dad. Arthur would call on his dad, and he if was ignored, he'd keep calling over and over again until he got some attention. Failing that, he would personally find a way to the afterlife and sit down in front of the god himself. He would not be ignored in this matter.

As Andy let go of Arthur, he blushed a little at the way that threw him off. He liked being in her embrace, it made him feel as safe as he hoped it made her feel. But he understood why he couldn't monopolize it, especially now with how little time they might have with Mads. At Mads' suggestion, he nodded, but then bit his lip and asked, "Could you um... Make two of those for Andy and me too?" He looked over at Andy, hoping it was okay he just asked for that.

Oli was taking the time he had right now to stretch, still living down the shame of his performance towards the end of the Captain America encounter. He had googled a bit about how to properly do so, and then read several dozen articles to make sure he was totally up on all the modern tactics to ensure a muscle pull was a statistical impossibility. He was as prepared as any person could possibly be, or at least, as far as the narrow range of pulled muscles was concerned. Cracking his knuckles, he looked around at his fellow agents, ready for the culmination of a half year's worth of paranoia.

Oli's gaze lingered for a moment on Amelia, a team member he still knew very little about. She was a wild card for sure, fun as all hell, but also wanting to perform a barrel roll on Air Force One was just... he didn't have a good word for it. He didn't want to cross her, and he was glad to have her help, but he didn't like things that he couldn't predict, especially going into encounters where the world was at stake. As Ricky opened the door, Oli turned to watch, only to see that the cleaning staff had weapons trained on them. If he was jumpier, he might have gone to try to disarm them all, but instead, he watched one of them reveal themselves to be Maria, and Oli silently made a mental note to get his hands on whatever tech they were using to cloak their face. He still wasn't convinced they were safe, but as Niah rolled forward and grabbed Maria's hand, he smiled. They'd know soon enough if they were skrulls now, and he resolved to thank Niah when this was all done. His fears were further assuaged as their fluffy little skrull detector hopped into Flynn's arms, leading to him relaxing a bit as the tensions cooled.

Arthur nodded, years would be a lot of time to have to wait for her to come back, assuming she didn't end up dying multiple times in the pit. It wasn't a viable strategy, even it it did remove some of the gravity of her potential death, the best option still would be to live in a world where she got to live. As such, they needed to be open to doors of death, wherever they were. That meant it would be best to actually know where they are, and he knew exactly where he could go to find that information. He'd have to have his first real face to face with his... sire.

Arthur piped up and said, "I'll try to make a sacrifice to Hades and get a conversation with him. I might be able to get him to point me in the direction of where the doors will be." Anything he could do to help, he would. He had enough of his friends dying, and if it meant he had to interact with a god to keep them safe, so be it. Besides, he figured that his own parent would be the safest of gods to talk to, hoping that filicide would be something that the deities shied away from. "Let's hope he answers and gives us something useful to work with, yeah?"

Oliver stood still for a moment, waiting for the pain in his leg to dissipate, and nodded at Bonnie. "Yeah, you got me. I'm still not used to field work, okay?" He said, a bit of playful annoyance in his voice as he tried to laugh it off. It was humiliating enough that this happened, but he was at least thankful it was after the big confrontation. As the big orange Flerken hopped in, his watched in a kind of amazed horror as the Skrull were pulled inside the maw of Goose. A part of him was deeply terrified of the cat, and the other half wanted to give it all the pets in the world. This was the truest tragedy in the world, for a cat-shaped thing to be so cute, and yet so absolutely monstrous in ways words failed to adequately describe.

Rubbing his leg, he exhaled at the news of the alien ship. A part of him was worried that somehow, the kree might have been summoned, and that Earth was about to become the new battleground for their war. He head to assume it was something else though, and this was just a very bad, no good kind of day. A part of him was worried that he wasn't as phased at the mass death as he would have been a few months ago, but after the raid of his hometown and his mother's cancer, a part of him was still numb to tragedy. He was working on resolving that, but it would be awhile before he could feel again.
