It was good! Hoping for some Tam Fox to show up in RR posts later on. Also, the Damian-Tim interactions should be fun when we get to them, too.

Oh i'm dying for the two of them to butt heads soon!
I'm worried that post may have been a bit too broody and technical for my liking, so i'm hoping to bring some more life to Tim in my next one

Red Robin #1 - New Cowl, New Case
Location - Gotham City, New Jersey.

Ramon Bach was one of the managing directors at Gotham's F.E.A.S.T. centre. The man had dedicated his entire life to helping those in need, spending the majority of his free time volunteering in soup kitchens, and taking part in various disaster relief efforts. Many like-minded people in the hellscape that is Gotham City would've had their spirit broken years ago as a result of the constant terror of Gotham's underworld, but not Ramon. He was one of the good ones, which is what made his tragic demise even more of a tragedy. He had just discovered that one of his co-workers at F.E.A.S.T had been skimming money from their donations, using it to fund one of the city's various crime lords.

Believing his co-worker would rectify his actions, Ramon had given him 48 hours to return the money he had stolen. Not even 24 hours later, Ramon Bach found himself lying in a pool of his own blood in his lowly apartment in the Narrows.

Years ago such a story would've come as a shock to Tim Drake, but after years of watching countless lives be lost in this city, he was sad to say he was unsurprised by the whole ordeal. He let out a small sigh from under his cowl, as he rose back to his feet and away from the corpse. Deciding to leave his personal question of when he had become so cynical until later, Tim set to work. If anyone was going to solve this case, it was the Red Robin.

He had arrived on the scene mere minutes after GCPD had received reports of gunfire coming from this apartment. The killer had been long gone by that point. It seemed they had left the same way that Tim had entered, through the ajar glass door leading to the apartment's cluttered balcony. That at least offered some clue into the culprit's identity. Given how high up this place was, it was clear that whoever the culprit was, either knew how to scale a six-story building or had come from the air. Adding how clean the shot was, it was clear that they knew what they were doing.

As Tim's mind pondered over Gotham's usual subjects, his index finger moved to the side of his cowl, activating its HUD. The graphical interface erupted into life around his eye line, as he scanned the room. The advanced forensics examination device had been one of Tim's more recent projects, and while nothing could beat the fine eye of a detective, it did a damn good job. That said, from that brief scan, a damn good job wasn't going to be good enough today. It seemed that the killer had also covered their tracks well. They were good.

The make of the bullet however was easy to discover. An experimental round from Kilgore Arms. Rare enough not to have been used by your common Gotham thug, yet common enough not to truly narrow down the exact user. But then there was the angle of the bullet wound itself. That was the real giveaway here. Using the angle, Tim could calculate the trajectory. Whoever fired it was around 5'6″ or 5′7″. They were shorter than Tim expected. That helped things though. He could definitely work with that.

The nearing sound of voices from the apartment building's corridor was the sign Tim needed to draw his forensic investigation to a close. That wasn't a problem though. He had all he needed. Quicking off his cowl's HUD, with a quick flick of his finger, the cape crusader slunk back into the shadows of the room. The apartment's door began to rattle as he moved, as the cops outside banged their fists against it loudly, shouting for the occupant to open up as they did so.

Earlier in his career as Robin, Tim may have been inclined to do so. He had believed in the system at that point. Now, after years of practice, Tim knew that it was best to just disappear instead. It was easier that way, just like his mentor had always said.

Plenty had changed since those early days as Robin. Previously he would've been here simply following the lead of his partner. Now, one new alias, and a significantly darker costume later, he was doing it all by himself. That meant finding his next lead all by himself. That was progress, right? Wasn't that what he wanted?

The banging on the door grew louder, shaking Tim out of his brooding.

Red Robin moved silently back out onto the balcony, rappelling away into the city skyline after a single shot from his grappling gun.

Red Robin #10 - Before the looking glass
Location - Gotham City, New Jersey.

By the time Red Robin had taken himself to the skies, Gotham City had already fallen into chaos below him. The breakout at Arkham Asylum had thrown everything into disarray, with the HUD in his cowl buzzing with information more and more by the second. Emergency services were scrambling, as police transmissions, CCTV footage, and the occasional social media post flashed before Tim’s eyes, giving him a rudimentary view of the carnage as he swung back towards the Belfry.

Whilst a number of the escaped Arkham inmates were already finding themselves boxed in by the initial blockades set up by GCPD, from what Tim could see, a few had already begun to spread out around the city. Thankfully, none of these reports detailed anything too dangerous, with the majority of them already being followed up on. Tim wished he could do more himself, yet he knew that given the large scope of this problem, the best place for Red Robin right now was coordinating the rest of his “co-workers” from the Belfry. Someone needed to manage this mess, and he had the perfect tools for doing so. If not, then those hours of tinkering with the Bat-computer would’ve gone to waste.

Still, he felt guilty. What if his inaction led to someone getting hurt? Or worse?

That worry soon came into fruition, however, as the sound of gunfire rang out on the streets below him. Snapping his eyes away from the information feed, he quickly turned his attention to the ground, where a small skirmish was currently taking place. Adjusting the swing of his grappling hook, the vigilante landed elegantly atop a fire escape, giving himself the space to take in everything before him.

Deever and Dumfree Tweed, two cousins with an uncanny resemblance to one another, had plagued the streets of Gotham for years. They weren’t big names within the criminal underworld, with the two often finding themselves working as muscle for hire for a number of Gotham’s worst. Strong and durable, the two were the perfect enforcers. It was during their time under the Mad Hatter, Jervis Tetch, that the two began to model themselves after Lewis Carroll's Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Whilst that partnership had ended long ago, the two cousins still carried that moniker, continuing their schemes in matching outfits reminiscent of the Alice in Wonderland characters.

Today, those flamboyant outfits were replaced by the orange jumpsuits of Arkham Asylum.

The duo stood boldly within the smashed in window of a storefront, firing out wildly as the street before them. Two police cruisers, now riddled with bullet holes, sat clumsily across from them, as their occupants hid for cover behind.

It was clear the two weren’t being apprehended again without a fight. What more, Tim knew that if he didn’t get involved soon, that fight would ended up much bloodier than it needed to be.

Gritting his teeth, Red Robin swung down into the fray.
I'm slightly busy over the next day or so, but am planning to DM most of the current Batfam players about potential plans.

Given the route I'm going with Tim, as well as the fact that our Barbara is Batwoman currently, I feel he may fill the Oracle role to some extent. So if you have an tech problems or need some general support, give him a bell

A child prodigy, Tim Drake deduced the identity of the infamous Batman of Gotham at the mere age of 11, following his exploits closely over the next few years as he further trained both his academic and athletic skillset. Tim, from his observations, soon noticed a change in Batman's personality over the years and decided that if anyone could help the caped crusader, it was him. Besides, what teenager didn't dream of being a hero? Initially rejected, he forced the Bat's hand by donning a costume of his own and taking to the streets. It was only after saving Gotham's defender during a run-in with Two-Face did he finally accept Tim as the new Robin on a trial basis. Tim has been fighting by Bruce's side ever since.

His skills improved drastically over the years, and not just in regards to beating up bad guys. He spent a fair amount of time honing his mind, with Tim's slight tinkerings to the Bat-Computer eventually leading to nearly an entire redesign, with improved security measures and capabilities.

Eventually deciding he was growing too big for the nest, Tim decided to spread his wings. Setting up shop in the newly refurbished Old Wayne Tower, which he fondly dubbed the Belfry, Tim gave up his Robin costume, taking on a new role; Red Robin, with him believing that he could now work more maturely without tarnishing an existing symbol.

Despite his new identity and newfound confidence, Tim worries that he isn't doing enough and whether he could bring more good to the world if he focused his efforts away from the world of heroics and wonder.

As my favourite Robin, Tim is always a character I've wanted to write. I'm a particular fan of his Red Robin series, which saw him move on from his Robin persona, as well as his more recent arcs within Detective Comics, where we see Tim debating leaving behind the role altogether in a search for his identity away from the Robin moniker. These themes are something I would really like to expand upon, especially in a collaborative environment like this.

As a support character, I initially plan on Tim sticking within Gotham, engaging in many of the ongoing plots there (How they came to be), as well as participating in larger events (Scorched Earth). This would give him the perfect opportunity to collaborate with many of the Bat-family and allow me to really see the role which he plays within it.

Outside of this, Tim also has aspirations of improving the world outside of Gotham, and as such, I plan on him reaching out to other like-minded characters with similar ideals to foster a better tomorrow through hope and wisdom rather than unjust force. More of a team of Champions, rather than your Young Avengers.

Really looking forward to seeing what kind of arcs/plotlines you have in mind for this, especially given your want to focus on inter-mutant conflict. I already have a few ideas brewing for potential guest characters depending on the story being told

Related, any CRISES that involves the supernatural or touches on the supernatural would have an obvious and easy connection with Ragwoman (personally at some point I think that it would be wonderful to form a supernatural superhero team with other players for something major, basically the Shadowpact in the RP).
