@OddApproved I feel the same way! I’m definitely proud of my work on Chu Hua and can’t wait for whatever is next for her. Not sure where else I’d be able to put her, though!

I feel like we should all be proud. I have been reading through the characters, since I haven't had time to, and I think they are all amazing in their own ways. Whatever team is made out of these characters, the writing is going to be beautiful. I will definitely be peaking in and watching where the roleplay goes, since I am a fool for AtLA themed things.

You never know when 1x1 ATLA themed roleplays come up. That's probably the only time I'll use Kata, unless I want to change him up from this universe.

I'm beginning to feel the overall suspense for tomorrow, but I am excited for everything. Even if I don't get in, I definitely am going to put Katakuri in my character file and use him for future things (upon tweaking to what is needed that is).

@OddApproved I don't know if you've seen the show Tokyo Vice. It was released fairly recently on HBO Max, but your character reminds me of Sato. He's like yours. Lives in a powerful family who is Yakuza. Runs 'financials'. Embroiled in a political war with other powerful families. Plays the villain/gangster role with a sophistication that isn't fake but there is an undercurrent of a life unfulfilled.

It's a great show and he's one of the stand-out characters.

Damn, I have never heard of that t.v. show before, but you got me interested now. Is HBO Max a free streaming service? If not, I am going to have to invest. Lmao.

I'm a fool for characters like that. Probably why I am addicted to the peaky blinders t.v. show right now.

I understand the suspense and chills of getting confirmed or not into this thread (and others), but I think we should respect Exits decision for the amount of people they are raffling into this roleplay.
Taking on more than one can chew even with help sometimes shuts down ambition and sparks for a roleplay. I have been there.

There are a few more days, I bet there will be more submissions. This seems to be a well thought out idea and at least a handful has shown interest. I wouldn't be surprised if a few more people popped in to put their submissions up for the raffle.

It was a difficult choice at first till I started thinking of what I truly wanted Katakuri as a character to be.

While I was building Katakuri as a character, I was extremely split between water bending and fire bending. When I think of a fire bender, I think of someone who has some type of anger (cold or hot) along with being dedicated to those who they care about. I feel like they are extremely dedicated to family and goals and they would do anything to reach goals and protect their families (at any cost).

When I think of Katakuri, I envision someone who tends to keep a "face" in public. Someone who appears collected, organized, and ambitious for what they want in life. While he is very goal orientated, I feel like family, friends, and things he cares about are higher than his true goals (depending on the situation).
Socially, I feel like he is going to be a character that tries his best to look like he is in total control in and out of public (no matter the situation). This might allow for times of frustration when he cannot claim an answer to an issue. I feel like he is going to be a character with cold and stern anger. Maybe a character that is more on the emotionless side of the spectrum when in basic conversations and socialization, though it is a shield to protect his feelings. Though, he will learn over time to loosen up in front of people and allow himself to show how relaxed, playful, and how much he cares for other living things.

That's the reason I decided to go with Fire bending as his element.

I was scrolling through the interest checks thread and came across this enticing world. I noticed that this thread still has the "apply" status, but I wanted to make sure before I jumped into brainstorming and character creation. I already have half a dozen ideas for a character(s). Is this thread still allowing people to apply, and I can apply for any of the three major positions: Heirs, Creds, and Sk8tes?
