@Tortoise I think I'll make my own! Fun worldbuilding practice.
Are there any recommendations / guidelines / hard no's when it comes to content within the character's backstory? Right now, my character is a former prostitute, and I just wanted to make sure there were no objections to that. There's no graphic content in the backstory, but if anyone is uncomfortable with the concept, I can make a different character.

Also, is there a list of the current nations / places? I might not use any of them, but I want to know if there are any already created cities that might house my character's backstory. Good to build on others ideas and all that.

Appearance: Seoya has been blessed with a bright smile, warm, puppy-dog eyes, and a good figure--though the last one is the result of her own dieting and exercising efforts. She dresses sharp, never flashy, and her favorite clothing items are staples, like sturdy heels, navy-blue blouses, and a flattering-yet-modest pencil skirt. At home, she's a lover of sweatpants, oversized shirts, and all things comfy, though she'd never be caught outside wearing them.

Personality: At work, Seoya is know for her professionalism, her upbeat personality, and her skill at handling many, many different things at once. A few years in the industry has taught her to always put on her best face, and she's ferociously good at negotiating on her company's behalf, making her a valuable asset. With her co-workers, she doesn't mind cracking a joke or two to lift the mood when the mood is low, but she doesn't let it get in the way of her work. The schedule comes first.

Confident as she is on-set, Seoya loves nothing more than to curl up with a good book or tv show over the weekend. Like every employee, she partakes of a little "drinking and complaining" every now and then, and you can usually see her at her favorite bar on the weekends. Secretly, she dreams of finally experiencing that "love" every K-drama boasts about, but her career-oriented life has given her precious little time to pursue that wish.

Background: The coordinating manager for LiteUp, Seoya juggles the schedules of dozens of individual acts, and is responsible for making sure by the time the lights go up, she's got one act on stage and three artists waiting their turns. Although not a sound or stage manager, she oversees much of the inner workings, as she's usually the one communicating with the artists and their respective mangers.

Before she got the job at LiteUp, Seoya dabbled in a few other careers, even signing for a short time under an entertainment agency before deciding the idol life wasn't for her. Coming from a good background, and with plenty of experience in management, she was an obvious first choice for the position of coordinating manager, and has been at LiteUp ever since, about four years.

Appearance: Daewhan is built like a rock. Besides his frequent trips to the gym, he holds a heavy camera all day and is always rushing around the stage. He's also got a variety of tattoos, some designed especially by his tattoo artist girlfriend. His fashion sense is nothing noteworthy, just jeans and white shirts. He keeps a straight face most of the time. Being from Busan, his accent is thick and "tough" sounding. (It's a thing, look it up.)

Personality: Like his hands holding the camera, Daehwan's personality is steady. He's not the most talkative person on the team, preferring to stay on the other side of the camera if possible, and keeps quiet about his personal life. He tends to get very focused on what he's doing, and interrupting his work is a surefire way to tick him off. And, while it's rare to see, he's fiercely protective of "important things" and will not hesitate to tell someone off if they're badmouthing.

Although not an overly ambitious individual, he dreams of becoming a famous movie director one day, spurred on by photography classes in high school and his girlfriend, who is always supportive.

Background: Nobody really knows where Daehwan came from, they just know he's been the unofficial lead of the film crew for a few years now. Moving from his hometown, Busan, to Seoul 3 years ago, Daehwan entered LiteUp with prior experience and quickly showed his bosses he knows what he's doing. He takes quiet pride in his work and can always be counted on to get the perfect shot. His work mostly consists of capturing the idols while they are performing, which means a lot of camera gymnastics and quick footwork.

Recently, he's been pursuing his passion in filmmaking more and more, taking online classes and dedicating free days to shooting and editing. It's unknown what he's making, but it seems to be something he really enjoys. On the weekends, he's usually out and about with his tattoo artist girlfriend, Minkyung, who he's been dating for 5 years. When he is getting married is a common topic during drinking parties.

"Yes, feel free," Chunjiro answers, enjoying the feeling of walking side-by-side with his new wife. He hopes this can continue, that Haru never feels like things must be rushed. Baby steps. They'll get to know each other like this, in a steady and laid-back fashion.

Walking down the dirt road to the market, Chunjiro makes sure to stand tall and watch his posture; even now, the curious gazes of the townspeople are upon them, although they are much less noticeable than the ones at the wedding. Rather than being the main attraction, this is mere curiosity, and Chunjiro can take comfort in knowing the novelty of being newly-married will pass with time. At most, Haru will have to deal with congratulations for a few days. And, with luck, no nosy questions.

"Chun-san! Nice to see you out and about!" calls Hiro, the shopkeeper of the vegetable stall, as they walk into the busy marketplace--here, the townspeople are too busy buying and selling to notice the new arrivals. Chunjiro bows respectfully, greeting him.

"Yeah! It's good to return to normal life," he says, accepting the baskets that Hiro prepares for him each week. Peeking inside, he confirms the contents: cabbage, daikon, and other fresh, green vegetables ready to be delivered to each of his clients. Despite having already eaten, he's already fantasizing about lunch, and what Haru might make for them; he's excited to see what she can do with ingredients other than rice, since she seemed so excited about cooking and buying vegetables.

"And this is your wife, eh?" Chunjiro looks up from the basket to see Hiro looking curiously at Haru. Chunjiro scrambles to introduce her.

"Y-yes! This is Haru. Haru-san, this is Hiro." It still feels weird to introduce her as his wife. He supposes it, too, will come with time. Perhaps they already know each other. Chunjiro wouldn't put it past Hiro; the shopkeeper is friendly, popular with the ladies, and good with his words. Chunjiro envies that freedom; his own words are getting jumbled quite often lately, whereas Hiro's never falter. They're been friends for a long time, despite Hiro being a few years older than him.

"Ah, well, it's nice to meet you, Oka-san," Hiro says, smiling. "I hope Chunjiro is treating you well, he's a bit of a simple guy, but I'm sure he's trying his best."

"H-Hiro!" Chunjiro blushes, hoping Haru doesn't take the words too seriously--well, he is a simple guy, but it's embarrassing to hear it said out loud! And besides, he knows she gets nervous when answering questions... Should he tell Hiro to stop? Will she be alright...? He's worrying too much, isn't he. She can take care of herself, probably.

"A-anyway, we should probably be going now," Chunjiro says cautiously, shifting the baskets around to give him a better view of his surroundings, and of Haru. "It was good talking to you, Hiro."

"You too. And Oka-san, don't forget to come back for your own groceries later~"

Name: Jesse Bianchi

Age: 16

Nationality/Ethnicity: Mother is a full-blooded Korean, father is from a family of Italian immigrants living in the U.S.

Personality: He thinks he's all rough and tough, but he has a big heart despite it all. Very susceptible to babies and large dogs. Starts fights a lot.

Background: Lives in the lower part of town with a lot of relatives in a slowly-falling-apart apartment complex. When he was younger, a lot of his cousins who he looked up to were rowdy, delinquent-ish guys, so he adopted those traits as he got older. He thinks the thug lifestyle is "cool" and has gotten several tattoos--without his parents' permission. Nowadays, stern lectures are common, but surprisingly, his relationship to his family isn't all bad. His grandmother passed away recently.
