Hello out there! My name's Mason. I like a lot of random stuff like comics, Masters of the Universe, M*A*S*H, X-Files, conspiracy theories, as well as a good superhero themed role play! I'm more of a DC freak than a Marvel zombie but I did grow up on mutants and 3rd string heroes. Once in awhile I'll make a few micros in MSPaint for my RP's because I love designing heroes as much as I do writing/reading about them. I'm about to try and get another Amalgam Universe themed game off the ground, if you're interested gimme a shout!

I've been RP'ing for awhile. I mostly RP to keep my writing skills up to par, and I generally RP between Casual and Advanced. I've been a member of the guild for quite a bit, pre Guildfall even. Ninety percent of the time you'll find me in some superhero themed RP or something based off of another fandom like MotU or Power Rangers. Currently in the process of developing my own comics!
Favorite DC heroes (I won't go into villains to save space) in no order: Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Superboy (the clone), Swamp Thing, Starman, Animal Man, the Ray (90's era), Impulse, Captain Atom, and Batman Beyond.
Favorite Marvel heroes list: Human Torch I & II, Capt. Mar-Vell, Black Bolt, the classic Destroyer, Havok, Multiple Man, classic Scarlet Spider, Spiderman 2099, Nova, and Colossus.
OTHER FAVORITES: Space Ghost, Haunt, the Maxx, Shadowhawk, Green Hornet, Madman, Doctor Star/Andromeda, the Phantom, He-Man, and Zorro.
seriously I cannot see anything wrong with having a car fly in this setting.
It's flying at Mach 2 when his top speed is less than Mach 1 on land. Hovering should be enough with anti-grav tech and going up walls.
I want it to be more about the hero and less about the car. It's like the Ironman argument. Stark is a billionaire and a genius, but take him out of the suit and he's just a man. Take your guy out of his car and what is he, a wannabe Dale Earnhardt Jr.? I'd just as soon give the guy propulsion boots and a laser rifle when he's out of the car than have the car itself fly.
He's gotta be a hero without the car as well and so far it seems like he's relying on it too much. Mr. Clutch would be the Leaguer, not the car itself.
EDIT: Furthermore.... what would he do in the instance his car is severely damaged or destroyed? Quit heroing until it's fixed or Lex Corp pays for a new one?
Yeah it was during Blackest Night when a few DCU characters got the multi colored rings. The Flash had a blue ring, Mera had a red ring, the Atom had an Indigo ring and staff, etc.
@Afro Samurai Don't give GJ all the credit, the artist Ethan Van Sciver came up with a lot of the concepts seen during the War of Light [he came up with the majority of the Red and Orange Lantern stuff IIRC...]
Geoff's Aquaman was right up there, and I loved the Others as a team. They didn't stand a chance in their own book without Geoff attached though.
@Afro Samurai Most of Geoff's work has been gold. His run on the Flash when it was the ginger Wally West was incredible and he did a lot of work making the Rogues serious threats again. In JSA he incorporated a lot of different elements and even managed to bring Hawkman back into the fold, and his run on Hawkman was equally as good. Teen Titans was an awesome mix of Young Justice and past versions of the Titans and was one of the top DC titles during Johns run. Green Lantern was good for awhile but now we're stuck with them recycling the seven to nine other colored Corps stories over and over since Geoff Johns left. His Justice League and Aquaman in the New52 were amazing as well.
The only things he's done I wasn't impressed with were Superman, Stars and STRIPE, the Thing mini he did for Marvel back around '03, and his short stint on the Avengers. Marvel execs were idiots to let him go before he really got good.
@WXer I'd rather see a relative of Killer Croc than another Atlantian. LOL
@Weird Tales I wouldn't care as much if the car could just hover, and I'll even offer you another compromise. In your character's second mission I'll let him fly the Bat-plane.

We've already got our first two teams of four, and another group of four or five on deck. Pretty diverse cast as far as powers, personalities, and archetypes go... I'm still working on the opening OOC post.
The mach 5 had spike tires. Also spike tires would conserve more energy than just flying all of the time using anti gravity
If conserving power is a big thing then flight at over a thousand miles faster than the land speed would take way too much. You can increase the land speed to Mach 1 but I don't want a flying racecar. It'd be like giving somebody that already runs fast the ability of flight.
What about a cousin or relative of Luthor or his son?
Well like I said, Lex himself is gonna be pushing 70 years old, his son will be in his 30's-40's and as anti-Superman as his father. Could be a tech guy who works for the Luthors who doesn't share their hatred of Superman...
