Yes, but remember that most of the population in the Vault are from 2077.

Well I was going with the idea that they had at least some contact with the outside world. Almost all of the vaults that were actually designed to have people live in them, rather than be part of a social experiment they had the need for at least some contact.

So I figured that he might trade with or be aware of the existence of the vault.
Just seen the message, I will start working on my character soon. He is going to be a traveller and a medic of sorts.
I am still good for it.
How many people here have read the Fallout Bible? I'd love to rp as a Psyker.

I have to be honest I haven't read it.

I have played all of the major games, I completed 1 & 2 again last year before 4 came out. However I have put as much time into NV as I have all of the other games put together.

I don't think we need to worry about the finer points of canon if we are thinking about going away from the major locations. We have to worry even less if we are going for a decade or so after the bombs fell or even as they fall, pick up from where the beginning of 4 stopped before the jump.

(I am going to assume that everyone has played or at least read the plotlines for all of the major games, don't want to keep worrying about spoilers.)
I would be very interested in getting involved in this.

The mid west regions are not really covered in the games other than being referenced as the starting point for the legion before they moved west towards the NCR.

What about something like New Orleans? It could have a very similar appeal to the areas out of Far Harbor Or perhaps we explore the annexed Canada and what happened to them after the bombs fell?

I believe that its because people are just to damn paranoid that the government is going to become an Orwellian nightmare and that they're going to need the guns to protect themselves/liberate America or some other paranoia conspiracy theory. That and the fact that the right are really fucking cherry picky when it comes to the constitution in that they put a lot of emphasis on the gun rights but no so much on "all men are created equal" part or even some of the religious parts.

I will conceded that I have to admit, guns are pretty cool.

The unfortunate thing is that the global media loves to paint Americans as gun touting crazies and I know that they all aren't.

However, it does seem that even the most mild mannered person gets their knickers in a twist about supposed infringement of the famed Second Amendment.
Obama is probably liked more outside of American than in it.

No one on the planet understands Americans obsession with guns.

British people don't really like tea that much.

Red panda's aren't really panda's at all, they are at best a jazzy racoon.

And posted. @Orion Shamus now has something to respond to.

I have finally found some time to reply.

Looks like we have quite a slow burn on this, is it getting close to the end of summer over in the states?
