Height: 8'6
Weight: 230 lbs
Name: Mactavish, Malcolm
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Personality: Malcolm is a friendly giant. Often times he can easily approach new people and talk to them as if they've had a long history together. He has a very friendly demeanor, despite his gargantuan size. Malcolm is air-headed and will almost always say what's on his mind without regard for other peoples feelings, not out of spite, but out of ignorance. Malcolm is also, to put it bluntly, is lazy. He always love helping people, but he also enjoys sleeping just as much. One of his favourite things to do is just lounging around doing nothing in particular. Few things match his love of laziness, and most of the time he only does things he enjoys (which just so happens to be helping people). Malcolm personality changes wildly when competition is involved. His laid back attitude vanishes and a new fiery one takes it's place.
Background:Malcolm's father is a Scottish immigrant to America. While living in Washington, D.C Malcolm's father fell in love with Malcolm's mother. It was a whirlwind romance which ultimately ending with Malcolm's mother getting pregnant. Feeling a sense of duty Malcolm's father married her on the spot. This child was not Malcolm, it was his brother, Bryce. Malcolm wouldn't come for another 4 years later. His mother however, would pass away due to complications in childbirth. This drove a wedge between Malcolm and Bryce, as Bryce with his child-like mind blamed Malcolm.
Fast-forward 4 years and Malcolm is a lanky child, easily towering over all the kids his age. Malcolm's father let him get a cat at a young age who he loved dearly, and most of the time the cat did not enjoy being smothered by an oversized child. This led to the cat to run away from the young Malcolm quite a bit. One of the times the cat climbed up a tree, too high for Malcolm to reach. Not wanting to bother his brother or father tried jumping for the cat but couldn't reach, until his calve coiled up and released letting Malcolm spring up to capture the cat.
This quirk changed Malcolm's life entirely. From then on his father had huge expectation for his son, expecting him to become a hero. His fathers line of thinking boiled down to, this is a gift and we must not squander it. His father poured a lot of time and energy into crafting Malcolm to become a hero, getting him a tutor, getting martial arts lessons, the whole ten yards. This however, went to further drive a wedge between Bryce and Malcolm. Bryce being quirkless, received very little attention from their father. Internal conflict brewed inside of Malcolm, getting pressure from his father while receiving verbal lashes from his brother. Led to Malcolm spending as much time as he could away from his family. Either hanging out with friends, playing basketball or just really anything else.
Which brings us to now. Malcolm's father enters him into a hero apprentice program. This is easily one of the best things to happen to Malcolm. Getting to be away from his family and getting his dad get off his back. What more could he ask for?
Quirk: Spring-
Malcolm has the ability to coil the muscles in his limbs, and then release all the built up energy similar to a spring. He also has extremely long arms and legs which is what gives him colossal stature. This allows Malcolm to jump great heights and hit like a truck. He however and rip and tear his muscles easily, especially if he coils too much or uses the ability frequently.
Talents and Skills:
- Despite his lanky appearance he is surprisingly graceful and balanced. This is through his training in Taekwondo. While no black belt he is proficient in it.
- Not surprisingly he is great at basketball. His insane height mixed with his quirk lets him easily dunk over and defend just about anyone.
- Malcolm is a talented artist. Not good enough to make a career or anything, just good enough to impress the average person. He typically likes to draw scenic landscapes.
