@OwOHope that post fixed some other the issues you raised the other day. Thanks for the advice :)
Niid

Niid was strewn casually across a chair he had managed to somehow find throughout the throng of books. He peered around curiously, examining the crack squad of hand-picked cleaners picked by the lead of this office. A little girl. A rich little girl. And a slightly (but only slightly) less little woman. As well as he, himself a rich kid with more than a few drug problems that needed funding and a very possible death wish.

He drummed the fingers of his left hand lightly against the carbon alloy section of his right pectoral. His leg began to jitter uncontrollably as he listened to his boss's instructions. An interesting proposal. His lips stretched across his face, his mouth widening into a beam under his thin faceplate. It was an interesting proposition indeed.

A sum that much would only be offered what would be quite possibly a risky job. And that was just the kind of job Niid was interested in doing. The savage beast of boredom had been steadily encroaching on him over the past few hours, and he had to resort to the classic pass time of homeless hunting to sustain his interest in life.

He narrowed his eyes in examination, nodding his head rhythmically as the boss spoke, attempting to ensure he appeared to be listening. And upon Mel's last note, ordering him to ask questions, his interest spilled forth out into the room. He cut straight to the point though and began with, 'What's in this book, something interesting? Worth me sitting down for a little read? Why yuh' wan' it so bad?'

Luck, First Officer

Luck emitted a quick double bleep, representing a genuine chuckle as the captain made mention of his cooking endeavors.

The First Officer peered at the slowly assembling crew as he finished up his delicate cooking process and served the scran up into the simple bowls set over for the crew. He had somehow managed to make what was effectively meat, root vegetables, and whatever was left at the back of the cabinets look appetising. Quite impressive for someone without any kind of tastebuds. He just hoped it tasted as good as it looked.

Luck leered at the data slate, hoping to get a peak. He'd bring it up with the captain later and figure out the accounting needed. For now, he was looking at the faces.

No sign of the massive cargo hauler. He quickly flipped through his variety of cameras, finding the chap loitering in the cargo bay, despicably bare as it was. He appeared to be looking at the diagnostic panel. Luck had no idea what he was doing, as he was made aware that food was being served. Oh well, who was he to question someone being odd?

But something about the huge bloke set Luck's alarm bells ringing. It was hard to control a lone wolf like that. How would he sway him with honeyed words if they never shared any? For now, Luck refocused on the room around him.

The small crew had assembled slowly as the smells from the mess began to permeate the upper decks. He called out, "Dinner's up, come get a plate!"

After leaving the bowls hot on the side and ready to be claimed he wandered over to Karma studying her face quickly, the noticeable scars on her face as well as her obvious nervousness. Luck attempted to put her at ease by initiating the conversation with an open posture and a friendly voice. All he was missing was the sickly-sweet voice, but nay, he would make do with the social functions he possessed. He quickly engaged her in conversation before she could slither away, "Heya Karma, just wanted to talk to you about repairs needed to the ship, as well as my upcoming maintenance check-up." He continued with a swooping motion of his hand, "The first one because I'm going to be renting a hauler, and if you help me with my chores ground side, I'd be more than willing to help you with what you need to get done. And the second because I'd like to get checked out ASAP after we're done on that god-forsaken planet. The dust does my joints mischief, you know?"
Miss Bonnie Cunningham is the owner of Cunningham's bookshop on 45 Whaler's Lane, West Sprontside, Gloomminster. She's generously renting out 5 rooms above her shop. At low prices (rooms starting at 300 silvers/month) and within 10 minutes walking distance from Gloomminster University, a prestigious magic institute. This location is perfect for any new students looking for residence during their time at University!

Concept:

In short, it's a Modern Slice of Life set in the University town of Gloomminster. Except for the fact that fantastical creatures, witches and warlocks, and all sorts of fantasy creatures in this setting. In theory, players would be new tenants of Miss Bonnie Cunningham's and very likely would be new (or returning) students who would go to University in Gloomminster University. An institute famed for its wide variety of high-quality magical faculties.

It is set in the year 2023, with a similar timeline to our own, with comparable countries and politics. The fantasy aspects in the area will be the fantasy standards, with the extra addition of some British Folklore and mythical creatures.

I'll make an example CS if interest is shown. Also, I'm new to DMing and would be incredibly grateful for any advice/anyone interested in helping me GM (feel free to shoot me a PM).
@PerfectThought Just a short question. Does splinter look like a bottle of pills and has luck any of it stored in his own room?

I see where this is going haha. I'd imagine it'd depend on the quality of the substance and the processing it's gone through. For instance, if it's of pharmaceutical origins, yes it would. But that quantity of pharmaceutical-grade smuggled drugs would both be hard to transport and hard to acquire. As well as incredibly valuable. For the sake of creating an interesting scenario, I'm going to say he has a small quantity of pharmaceutical-grade splinter in crated pill bottles in his room, as well as a few other crates stashed in a few other places. In his room, about 1kg of Splinter in pill bottles, but it's in a crate, so the Krite may have some struggle moving it. In other places in the ship stashed may be another 4kg of the crated pharmaceutical splinter. And the other 25kgs is mostly stashed in various sections of the bulkhead, in the form of powder bricks (like coke or ket), and though valuable, a brick splinter isn't nearly as valuable as the same quantity of pharmaceutical splinter. It's probably most comparable to the ket trade: pharmaceutical shit is worth big bucks, because of it's high quality. And brick goods of unknown quality are worth less, but fair easier to hide and transport, as well as acquire.
@PerfectThought He's fine to put in the CS tab. Just be mindful of your writing since there's fragments and such that actually make it a bit difficult for me to parse things out.

I'm sorry. Could you possibly provide an example so I can sort the issue out? Rereading my text I'm not really sure what you're referring to, but that might just be because I understand what I'm on about haha.
Interested if I'm welcome. B)
