(HMU if any of these interest you) Fantasy where players are a group of undead in service of a lich, that hunt down a group of regular adventurers (possibly played by a second group of adventurers if enough interest is shown)
Isekai about a group of teenagers doing a ritualistic psychedelic and being transported to a fantasy psychedelic world.
Modern Sci-Fi set in a ravaged and brutal Mexico City in approximately 20-30 years. Characters would be a group of criminals/associates roped in trying to hijack and steal the Scottish Crown Jewels so they can use the scrying orb in it to foretell ragnarok. Inspired by the works of Neill Blomkamp.
Modern Fantasy set in the same world as one of my other RPs. Players have been hired as the first members of a budding arcane pest control company. Characters will then work to rid the denizens of the city of Gloomminster creatures ranging from cursed bed bugs to rabid chimeras!
Cute slice of life about where the characters are the staff of a fantastical Ghibli-esque cafe.
Brown watched on, light streaming in through the grand doors. Highlighting his silhouette against the bright blue sky. This hid his expression of concern, differing from his usual airheaded slight smile he stood with a straight mouth and a furrowed brow. As the dance in front of him unfolded, he picked his way down into the court. Weaving between the bodies as he tried to intake as much as possible within the grand hall.
As the gleaming girl turned from Audrey and spoke to 'Ralek' he began to formulate his line of questioning. Still shaken from his encounter in the streets, he was still standing in the center mouth agape when she had finished talking. Still looming when she turned and acknowledged him. He managed to begin, 'What did I see? You're the one who brought us here? It doesn't feel right- Why are we here? Who did I see?' His face fell even further from the usual, it was a rare sight to see Brown so openly unnerved. 'What did she mean? Everything about her seemed wrong...'
He looked unto the princess for answers. He was unwittingly leaning upon his staff now and had not even acknowledged the rest of the group since his entry. His paper skin flickered in the soft light, the details of his face lost to all but those closest to him beneath the writhing sea of everchanging symbols.
Stafford wordlessly listened to the 'briefing'. A wry smirk coiled up his lips upon the mention of Pavel's name. It seemed his job would be easier than expected this day. An old shooting 'buddy' of his, Stafford found it really did pay to have the connections that came with the inheritance.
As the team unsubtly aired their dislike for him he jotted down a note in a small pocketbook. Nothing they were saying surprised him. Neither did he disagree with any of it. He found the least likely type of man is the man that so wishes to be a genius, but is only held up by marketing. Another case of generational wealth being wasted upon the next generation.
"I can probably snag myself an invite, love. Might even have one already, not sure these days. Might even be allowed a plus one. Depends how well Pavel remembers me from the 'good' old days." Though Dr. Boxer had expensive tastes, he'd never cared for the type of person associated with his class. And he most certainly wouldn't willingly stand any of them without a very good reason. Fortunately for the group, Stafford found himself wanting to make up for his previous failings and he could do that by begrudgingly tolerating his socio-economical peers for a couple of hours.
Species Name: Ro'om Ktaballyt Brief Overview: Crystalline Colonial Entity that requires specific environmentals and therefore lives inside an environment suit, somewhat like a hermit crab. Their history, language, and culture have largely been erased in a tragic series of exploitative genocides. Details:
The Ro'om Ktaballyt are a species of Colonial organisms comprised of incredibly dense carbon crystals. Highly prized for their innate ability to grow clusters of valuable fuel-dense carbon crystal complexes. Not much is known about how they originally lived in the wild, or their original culture due to the fact that upon their discovery their culture and society were almost completely eradicated by megacorporations exploiting them as a source of fuel in massive concentration camps/farms. Due to the fact they in effect do not age, they can live for incredibly long periods of time and reproduce incredibly slowly. Due to this, it is unknown whether their race will ever be capable of recovering fully, if at all.
An incredibly interesting aspect of them is that on their home planet, the atmosphere consisted largely of noble gases. This meant carbon life struggled to evolve, instead being outmatched by silicon life. Therefore the sentience of the Ro'om Ktaballyt is far more comparable to an AI or other sentient computers. The evolutionary solution to the massive data quantities that were needed for silicon life to evolve in this manner was to use the unique and massive data-transferral properties of the carbon crystals.
The mixture of gas they breathe is called Bhduoi and holds a certain level of holiness in what little Ro'om Ktaballyt culture is still intact. If they do not have sufficient concentrations of Bhuduoi their mental capabilities will rapidly decline until the cessation of all mental activity whatsoever. Slow suffocation and effective lobotomization. The Bhuduoi also allows them to share information and communicate with other Ro'om Ktaballyt processing the same network of Bhduoi.
They do not possess any form of unique spoken or written language, instead, it was believed by historians that originally they would have communicated with each other via the Bhduoi. What little elements they do have of a spoken language were both largely wiped out and also believed to have been developed from loan words exclusively to communicate with a very low-class civilization of carbon life forms that had developed on their homeworld's moon. Now long extinct, almost nothing of them is known.
Due to the Ro'om Ktaballyt's unique atmospheric needs, they require a special envirosuit to live in foreign atmospheres. They do not respire in the same way as carbon life forms so if envirosuit security is maintained the gas mix needs to be renewed only rarely. As a race, they are incredibly rare and those that still exist tend to keep their heads under the radar due to their incredible value, and the fact many do not consider them fully sentient (a dangerous and racist belief that is used by many to excuse their exploitation).
Crew Skills & Equipment
Equipment & Augments:
Specialist Armoured Ro'om Ktaballyt Envirosuit (itself very valuable)
50,000cm3 of noble gas mixture.
One 10mm ZM-AK 'Eclipse', an infamous cheap reliable handgun, designed as a cheaper replica of a Glock, chambered in 10mm ammunition. They pack a reasonable punch and are famed for their accuracy and ease of use.
Parma-violet has modified a standard neural link unit to be compatible with his biology and has integrated it into his suit. Due to his unique sentience, he can utilize it incredibly effectively.
Metal tobacco pipe.
Skills & Abilities:
Large size and inhuman strength, however, he is not especially experienced in hand-to-hand combat. He can however sufficiently defend himself from the average desperado.
Incredible feats of mental maths and cognitive abilities, believed to be innate to all Ro'om Ktaballyt.
Functional immortality.
Due to his age Parma-Violet is extremely knowledgeable in many subjects, as well as extremely experienced in piracy and the black market.
Incredibly proficient hacker, especially when he is able to achieve a physical link with his target.
Expert in a vast array of languages (whether he can physically produce the sounds or not), including a couple of languages now considered completely dead.
Large amount of off-world criminal links, as well as quite a few on-world criminal links. With over 300 years to network, Parma-violet's mental black book is pretty vast.
Crew Details
Appearance: Parma-Violet himself is an unremarkable cluster of white/clear crystals in a cloudy gas. However, his envirosuit is a pale purple colour, humanoid, with three fingers on each hand. He stands around 6'8 and is set incredibly broad. His envirosuit is covered in graffiti of all kinds of nature and is draped in many different fabrics and pelts. Notably a shabby regal purple cloak. His suit has no temperature control unit, so he has to maintain his optimal functioning temperature manually. His slight has very slight scorch marks on his left thumb and index finger.
Personality: Parma-Violet is an old soul, quite literally. And tends to keep a calm calculating head on at most times. He is (quite rightly) incredibly distrustful and wary of strangers. However, he has a soft spot for children and youths of any race. He is incredibly loyal to his friends and colleagues and is very happy to talk and offer some of his extensive knowledge or advice.
Though hesitant to get into unnecessary confrontations, he is more than happy to do what it takes to survive. Whether that means defending himself or making a living. He is also incredibly wary of any form of authority that he is unfamiliar with, especially corporations or government. He is also fairly religious and incredibly protective of his remaining culture and spends his free time investigating what little evidence of his species is left and documenting it as extensively as he can. He is desperately searching for another of his species to reproduce with, given he believes he may be coming to the end of his life cycle.
History: By his estimate the oldest living Ro'om Ktaballyt and though he does not know exactly how long they live, he estimates he is nearing the end, though how close he is he is not sure.
When he was very young the exploitation of his planet began, and he and his community were promptly forced into a concentration camp to labour until they died of exhaustion. Fortunately for them, their camp was liberated in a slave revolt weeks after the occupation began. He and a collection of other Ro'om Ktaballyt were smuggled off the planet on pirate freighters. Hours later the liberated camps were eradicated by Vacuum bombs. Thus the true subjugation of the Ro'om Ktaballyt began.
Parma-Violet was brought to an abandoned supply depot by his smugglers and left, as instructed. This is the location he and his community would be reunited, instead, he was left there, isolated. Left scavenging the small outpost for a means to repair the comms array so he could hail a freelance freighter. Eventually after 50 years a small smuggler ship landed to hide from some system authority ships. Upon which he made contact for the first time in decades, his common skills limited to what he'd learned from the remaining media upon the station.
He proposed working for them in return for passage off the god-forsaken outpost. Since then he has worked for about 200 years gallivanting around and trying to find out the fate of others of his species. He has not dared return to his home planet, for fear either the grief or privateers would kill him.
As of half a decade, the crystalline bloke has settled on Tryliin as a wandering mercenary/gun-for-hire/handyman. Willing to do just about anything for the right price to make enough money to sustain himself in his search for knowledge.
Quirk: Strangely enough, despite being an alien lifeform Parma appears to have taken quite the shine to Nicotine at some point in time, especially Tobacco. It appears to have different, strong effects on his kind. Including but not limited to improved motor skills, and at higher dosages hallucinogenic properties. He smokes via a specially-made filter port built into his face plate. He can often be found idly puffing on a kretek or happily puffing on his pipe.
Turmoil: Parma-Violet is desperate to preserve his kind in some way and spends massive amounts of time doing exactly that. Additionally, though most know very little of the Ro'om Ktaballyt, those who do would be more than happy to butcher him and sell off his valuable envirosuit, crystalline body, and Bhduoi.
@PerfectThoughtVery interesting character design, although my main question would be why would Parma-Violet want to be a mercenary? If the character "is incredibly hesitant to get into confrontations of any kind, due to them drawing attention to him." What would make him pick a career that literally puts himself into confrontational situations? That's my only real concern with the fundamentals of the character, otherwise I would like to see a bit more to tie him into the universe itself give some faction or organization names that we can build on instead of generic "bad people". That being said if you can give me the answer of why he would choose to be a merc and maybe a bit of merc work he would of done beforehand we can work out the other stuff later and I'd be happy to accept him.

[As a preface, this is not meant to make light of religion or anyone's beliefs. I am merely fascinated by Abrahamic mythology.]
Noah, son of Lamech, cursed the second son of his second son for a crime lost to the annals of history. These people came to be known as the Canaanites. The sons of Canaan. They were cursed to live lives of torment and hatred for a crime committed millennia ago by a common ancestor.
Homo Sapien Khanaan is a peculiar human subspecies originating from the Levant, having co-existed and been subservient to the Semitic peoples of old. However, over generations, they grew hateful of Shem's God. Yahweh. In the second temple era, an underground group of the dwindling population of Canaanites turned to the dark god Moloch for his favour. This ritual became known as the first supper. The boon granted to them for their heinous deeds? A child born tainted with the blood of Canaan is blessed with the burden of a deep-ceded desire for the flesh of their peers. This hunger provides them with abilities incapable of the sons of Shem of Japheth. With this boon, the Cabal was able to live to an age not seen since the antediluvian period and the days of Methuselah.
Using the powers bestowed upon them by their forbidden gods, this secret group began to accumulate knowledge and power. They were some of the first scientists, philosophers, and artists. They had a vast administration keeping track of the genealogy of all Canaanites. Using their influence to hide their growing population and vast human farms.
However, they couldn't hide forever. Someone noticed something was off. The methods of their reveal are another of history's great mysteries. But an ancestor of Levi, a devout Kohen priest would discover the Canaanites' generations of heresy and debauchery. He continued to investigate, not yet noticed by the watchful gaze of the Cabal's administration. He would secretly spread the word among certain devout Kohen, of the purest blood and most pious nature. This group would become known by the few aware of their existence as the 'True Levites' and they would hide in the shadows, planning their first actions against the Canaanite superpower.
When the time was right, they attempted to tear away the veil, revealing to the Israelites the cannibal enemies hiding beneath their noses. the True Levites had managed to capture fragments of the Codexes detailing Canaan genealogy. Using this information, they provoked a violent and bloody all-out war, ending with every single one of the names listed in the Codex fragments being purged from history.
Unfortunately, this would prove to only be a small percentage of the Canaan population. Canaanite elders used the first Levitic-Canaan war as a lesson. Before promptly erasing all knowledge of it happening from all records nigh the Levitican records and their own. They soon instituted strict population control to prevent the rediscovery of the population. And secondly, they began developing a new method of feeding their population.
Despite this still happening in the middle Roman era, the Canaans used their highly advanced and secretive technology to crossbreed human livestock and animal livestock to create monstrous and horrific animal-human hybrids. These heretical creatures had the intelligence of livestock, and were almost undetectable from their normal animal counterparts, except for subtly closer human features. This human-animal livestock was then disseminated across the globe and is prolific across the entire world. Levitic estimates believe that they are outbreeding regular livestock and currently comprise nearly 80% of the current livestock population and will likely completely replace animal livestock within the century. Because of the integration of their food source, Canaans were then capable of almost indistinguishably integrating into normal society.
From then until today the True Levites have gone back to working in the shadows, attempting to route out the despicable blight on humanity that is the Hidden Nation of Canaan and its monstrous citizens, Homo Sapiens Khanaan. It is believed by our Levite Knights that many powerful and influential historical figures were Canaanites or put into power by the Canaanites to help them achieve their goals.
For example, it is believed Hitler, and the entire Nazi regime was orchestrated by them. As well as almost every notable scientist ever. Archimedes, Einstein, Newton. Almost every world leader is believed to be Canaanite, and if not they are a Levite. The entirety of the organisation of Free Masons is Canaanite, it is believed.
Your character can be either a member of the order of True Levites, or a true-blooded Canaanite. Both sides are responsible for atrocities and are morally grey. One side is not 'good' and the other is bad. However, Canaanites are required to be cannibals to survive. Also because of the nature of this being a large-scale global conspiracy, you should take into consideration that your character should be fairly influential/powerful, otherwise, how will they realistically influence the story?

Fantasy where players are a group of undead in service of a lich, that hunt down a group of regular adventurers (possibly played by a second group of adventurers if enough interest is shown)
Isekai about a group of teenagers doing a ritualistic psychedelic and being transported to a fantasy psychedelic world.
