Current Projects/Freelance work

  • I am a voice talent and script writer for Faerun History
  • I have a much smaller personal Youtube channel that I use to make videos on various subjects. Only been making videos for 2 years, but it's growing!
  • I'm the host of a Science Fiction & Fantasy Podcast where I interview authors of the genre.

Interests (Includes but is not limited to)

  • Writing/Reading (Love writing and I own too many books)
  • Video Games (Been a gamer for close to 23 years now)
  • Working Out/Martial Arts (Wing Chun/Oyama Karate mostly. Some historical swordplay as well.)
  • History (Military History is my specialty)
  • Zoology
  • Art (Mostly Illustrations. Used to be good. Am picking it back up)
  • Voice Acting/Singing
  • Tabletop Gaming (Started late in the game. Been at it for 3 years. I was the kid who bought the monster manuals and D&D books just for the lore for the longest time. I've played 3.5e, 5e, Star Wars D20, Edge of the Empire, PF, and PF2.)
  • Weaponry of all kinds
  • Anime (mostly action/shonen. DBZ & YYH being my favorites)
  • Movies (Action/War/Drama films being my go-to)
  • Music (Rock of all kinds, as well as historical folk songs, sea shanties, pub songs, a bit of classical music, etc)
  • Guitar (am learning to play, but being left handed makes it challenging)
  • There's more but if you care enough you can PM me :P

Roleplay F.A.Q.

  • Fantasy, Sci Fi, and Historical are my genres. Fantasy being my favorite and Sci Fi/Historical being close seconds.
  • Advanced / Nation / 1x1 / Casual (only in certain circumstances)
  • I generally write at the 'Advanced Level' meaning 4+ Paragraphs with good grammar.
  • I am usually busy with many projects and RPs, but if you wish to do a 1x1 with me, you'll need to present your case. Those I already do it with have my trust as a Roleplayer.
  • I love many, many fictional universes so me trying to list them all is an effort in futility!

The Castle Griffonwatch was more of a Keep than a true castle, set upon the highest rise in the land east of Hulburg to watch out over the Highfells more than a hundred years ago to halt invasions from the savage races that dwell in Thar. Its stables and outer buildings were guarded by the risen land instead of any walls, though at the front there was a north wall with a gate that was a less natural means of protection.

Back down the road was Hulburg. A modest city, some would say. Others would claim it was more of a moderately sized town, with only about 6,000 inhabitants, mostly human. There was a small, strong Dwarven population as well that traded and worked both here and in Glister, the town to the north that mined the minerals from the Galena mountains. Hulburg would be considered quaint from someone hailing from Baldur's Gate or Waterdeep, or any other of the larger, more well known cities of the Realms. However, it was civilized and bustling with trade activity as usual.

Today, the Harmach Grigor Hulmaster awaited those who received a call he had sent out to Adventurer and people of skill for an errand he wants done. The call was made out a week ago, setting itself upon this date to come to Griffonwatch to answer the summons. It is now noontime, and the sun is out shining brightly, with ne'er a cloud in the vast blue sky. The air is cool and a tad windy, bringing the smell of the sea not two miles away into the mainland.

As the adventurers walk up, they will find the gate of Griffonwatch open but guarded by Shieldsworn. They are the Harmarch's personal fighting force of Griffonwatch, set to keep the peace. The sergeant stands in front, ready to treat with whomever answers the summons for aid.
@Not Fishing@Vor@Assallya
@Not FishingI say two weapons because I want people to grow with their characters and gain some more items later on. But I see what you mean. The walking stick is fine too, btw.

Also, other than you needing to change "Hulsburg" to Hulburg near the end of your bio, you're approved. :)
I'll be trying to make a character this weekend :)
Chapter 2:

The first stronghold that had been taken set off a conflict that spanned thousands of miles from all across the Eastern mountains. Cries of open war and civil unrest spread throughout the Heroshidan lands as the West gained a foothold, capturing more of the border cities in the name of their God and for the transgressions that had been set upon them by the East. It was months before they were halted, but the battle of the Xinyang Ford halted their progression, and it became anyone's guess who would win the war now.

The East was now fully mobilized and ready for a counter attack, though there were rumors of rebellion and unrest within the government and its people throughout the land. The Crusaders on the other hand had no such problems, but they were tired and in unfamiliar territory.

It had been less than a year, but Rylen felt like it had been a lifetime ago. The young Crusader Captain gazed over the parapets of the captured fortress of the Song Province, looking further east. They had not yet reached the Heroshidan capital, and probably wouldn't for a long time coming. Supplies were needed from back west, and a shipment was to arrive soon. As of now, his mind was on tomorrow's raid on the small woodland town a few hours northeast of their fortress. Capturing that would give them one more foothold that would help them take the Xinyang river, and some foodstores.

With that comment he gave a growl, and slashed at the woman, only for her to bound away. She decided to make her refuge on a teeter cart. Will happily leaped up with her, intent on finishing this fight once and for all. They both seemed to lose their balance a bit with both of their weights on there, but eventually they righted themselves and steel began to ring once more as they commence. Will pressed his attack, his sword a blur.@AngelBites15
@Kafka KomedyOoooh. This is in the Borderlands, South of Andred. There should be a synopsis on page 1
@Kafka KomedyThere are various mage guilds in Andred and Vrettonia, and a few in Praelior. There is no one guild. There's some in the Southland too, in the few cities that dwell there. But you don't need a specific name for a guild, and if you want one, you can make it up if you wish. Names like "The Mystic Society" or "The Occult Bastion", etc.
@Crimson RavenIt means no picture at all. I feel like letting your minds eye do the work really makes it more appealing and interesting for everyone. Not that I dislike pictures for inspiration. I personally use them a lot too. However, if you feel strongly about it, PM me and I might allow it. I have before in my adventure campaign when specifically requested. I just feel like sometimes a picture takes away a lot of the mystery for others, and the need for good descriptions.
Markus felt a very cold grip within his chest as he saw the Wyvern swoop in for his adventuring companion. "Valerie!" he cried out. He saw her roll just out of the way, but no matter what that was a rough fall. He thought quickly, letting go of the tree he was holding to and stepping his leading foot on a rock that jutted out of the slope, steadying himself. His free hand punched forward, palm out. He barked a word of power, and a ball of flame erupted from his palm and struck the Wyvern in the side.

The beast cried out in shock and pain, the scales blackened and now bleeding. It let out a few more shrill roars, before weakly flapping its wings and doing its best to fly away, thinking Markus still had more where that came from. He didn't, truthfully. He would need to prepare such a spell again over a few hours, but that was now far beyond his concern. "Hold on! I'll be there in a moment!" he called to her, making his way down the slope as best he could after sheathing his sword. It was rough going, and he nearly slipped, but he was lucky.

It was about another minute before he finally got close enough to the flat ground to leap onto it, his feet slamming onto the rough earth. He found her upright, and fairly bruised next to a large rock big enough to lean against. She seemed to not be seriously hurt, and he sighed with relief. The Swordmage held out a hand for her to grab. "Can you stand?" he asked her. "If you need help walking or need to baby something, tell me now. Don't hide it."@Luminosity
@Peik@POOHEAD189 Planning on Daelin setting up firing positions for him and Dax while Jorwen and Marcel go down there and get real personal with the magi. That is if Dax doesn't want to help Jorwen while Marcel does something sneaky. Up for a collab to get them all into position and initiate the fight.

Nice.
Whatever y'all think. Dax is always eager for some close combat, but he's also had to get up close and personal a lot lately too.
