Current Projects/Freelance work

  • I am a voice talent and script writer for Faerun History
  • I have a much smaller personal Youtube channel that I use to make videos on various subjects. Only been making videos for 2 years, but it's growing!
  • I'm the host of a Science Fiction & Fantasy Podcast where I interview authors of the genre.

Interests (Includes but is not limited to)

  • Writing/Reading (Love writing and I own too many books)
  • Video Games (Been a gamer for close to 23 years now)
  • Working Out/Martial Arts (Wing Chun/Oyama Karate mostly. Some historical swordplay as well.)
  • History (Military History is my specialty)
  • Zoology
  • Art (Mostly Illustrations. Used to be good. Am picking it back up)
  • Voice Acting/Singing
  • Tabletop Gaming (Started late in the game. Been at it for 3 years. I was the kid who bought the monster manuals and D&D books just for the lore for the longest time. I've played 3.5e, 5e, Star Wars D20, Edge of the Empire, PF, and PF2.)
  • Weaponry of all kinds
  • Anime (mostly action/shonen. DBZ & YYH being my favorites)
  • Movies (Action/War/Drama films being my go-to)
  • Music (Rock of all kinds, as well as historical folk songs, sea shanties, pub songs, a bit of classical music, etc)
  • Guitar (am learning to play, but being left handed makes it challenging)
  • There's more but if you care enough you can PM me :P

Roleplay F.A.Q.

  • Fantasy, Sci Fi, and Historical are my genres. Fantasy being my favorite and Sci Fi/Historical being close seconds.
  • Advanced / Nation / 1x1 / Casual (only in certain circumstances)
  • I generally write at the 'Advanced Level' meaning 4+ Paragraphs with good grammar.
  • I am usually busy with many projects and RPs, but if you wish to do a 1x1 with me, you'll need to present your case. Those I already do it with have my trust as a Roleplayer.
  • I love many, many fictional universes so me trying to list them all is an effort in futility!

I live in Alabama. It's a state somewhere between "should we have Florida weather? Maybe, but let's also add some snow" to fuck with us.
@Fetzen
Make a post about you telling the guards you are looking to join the Mercenary Guild, and then have them escort you through the paved stone streets, and then you'll see the Captain of the Guild waiting up front.
Kayden nodded, listening to the others. He took in all of their opinions. His mind was particularly swift for one so young, and even the times he appeared as if he wasn't paying attention, he was filing the words in the back of his mind. When Nuva asked his question, he shook his head. "None that we know of," he replied. "Now, I say we could all profit from some sleep." He met their gazes. "Tomorrow, I'm going around to find any kind of weapons of any kind that we can use. Whoever wants to go with me is free to. We've a few days before this Strater is supposed to try for the book, so there's a bit of breathing room. Morek?"

The Dwarf raised an eyebrow. Kayden continued. "Go and keep watch around Pembrook's estate. Tell them who you are and that you're from the Guild. They should let you in. Keep that vault secured."
"As long as they serve me food and drink, I'll sit there until the world ends," Morek replied.
"Secret, look for gaps in memory like our new friend here suggested."
Both Kayden and Secret seemed to think that Lis's suggestion of strange gaps in memory would be something key to find, and the Elven rogue agreed. "Not bad thinking," Secret admitted.

The next day, it was 9 O'clock in the morning. The Guild had been locked tight, and everyone had a fine night's sleep. Kayden had just washed his hair from the water and lye in his privvy, and made his way downstairs with a more plain outfit on. Merely brown trousers with a black shirt, and of course, his indigo wrappings and bracers on his forearms. He passed by the foyer of the Guild, giving Virgil a greeting as the older gent, now fully outfitted in armor, made his way to the back of the hall, and outside to the fenced in area. Back there, Hobnob's experiments mingled with the very modest stables the Guild had. The elder Knight made his way over to his Charger, but decided to smoke his pipe a bit before taking his trip back to Hillcrest. Secret was long gone on her hunt for information, though she left a note on the door she would be back to grab a bite at noon.

Kayden grabbed a quick bite of ham himself, and then grabbed himself an apple or two before making his way to the front of the Guildhall and opening the door. The sun spilled in, feeling warm and refreshing on his skin, and he waited for whoever decided they wanted to join him. One of the serving women posted a note on the bounty board as well, for those who cared to look. Could be a freelance job for quick money. Or perhaps, a mercenary would have their own agenda to look for in the wide city of Starkvale?

"I should have known the Specters were the source of this," he mumbled to himself, lowering his M15 Vindicator and shaking his head. He'd only run into a few before, and most were happenstance encounters on the Citadel, but he could usually smell them when they showed up. How convenient it was for such an elite group of Galactic peace keepers, that somehow continued to overlook the Genophage and the problems of the Krogan just until they were needed in the most recent Galactic conflict, yet again.

Still, he listened to what they had to say. His eyes turned to regard the members of the group, taking note now about who the Spectres seemed particularly worried about. So, there were a few trigger happy members of the group? And the Asari had shot at the Geth, with the younger Krogan and a Batarian of all people keeping the peace? He honestly had to hold in rumbling laughter at the audacity of the claim, but he wasn't about to argue. Spectres might be puppets of the council, but they were as no nonsense as the Turians. He guessed that's why a lot of Turians saw fit to join their ranks.

"Redemption?" Skarr repeated aloud, his booming vocals echoing across the chamber. "I am beyond redemption." He stepped forward a few paces, sizing up the two Spectres and gauging their reactions at his short advance. "But that will not keep me from a fight. If there's a war to be fought, or a rebellion to be quelled, we Krogan are here to save the day." He let the words sink in, before continuing.

"That being said, I believe my kinsman has the right idea. Funny, with such influence you Spectres throw around, you'd think you would have more funds to give your recruits. But as long as we get loot, with no questions asked? I'm your Krogan." Skarr announced, giving a gruff nod and stepping back into the surrounding line. "Now, what are we facing? I've grown tired of squashing Vorcha the past few centuries. I won't deny the reapers brought good sport."
@TangletailWell, you can only introduce and play one character. This is a group of mercs to join.

Oh no, if it's my trap than it's more than likely you've rolled at least three ones in a row. AT LEAST

Edit: And it's probably a pit filled with alcohol, fizzy drink bottles and ice cream tubs that magically don't make you fat, making everyone else hate you. That'll cushion your fall because I don't want you to die

Edit 2: And I've probably written a note at the bottom saying sorry for any inconvenience it's not personal it was just a job. And explaining exactly how to get out

Edit 3: The real trap is that no matter what you try and do fate will endeavour to ruin it for you and you'll end up sad and lonely at a dead end in life by the time you reach twenty. Yaaaaaaayyyy

If you get trapped in a TFF trap, then you're screwed. Because that means you rolled a 1.
@WickCasey walking out just as Ben sprinted off lol.
@ValEmherstHello friend! Any fan of fantasy is a fan of mine! Er...I mean friend.
Not done by a longshot, but I spent most of the time making this half of the backstory, with basic schmitt.
