Bailey shook his head in disbelief as he stuffed a vinaigrette coated leaf into his mouth, chewing carefully as he listened to the rest of them introduce themselves. "Yeah, this is beyond a simple prank." he commented before taking another swig of his water. He leaned back in his chair before turning to look at Arthur, "A professor?" Bailey eyed the Brit with renewed interest. "I was just starting my student teacher trials, on my way to being a high school teacher. What studies do you teach?" There was a shade of visible excitement in his tone. As if his brain had decided to shut out all the weirdness going on and focus on the one note of normal. That and Arthur didn't look to be much older than he and yet- he had already achieved his greatest desire so along with excitement there was undertones of jealousy that colored his voice.

Bailey didn't have time to ponder much longer as another form appeared in his peripheral vision. He turned his head in time to watch another girl plop down beside the group and begin to shovel the sweet, sticky mass on her plate into her mouth. With a slight grin and raised brows Bailey spoke up, "Coffee and sweets?" He wouldn't lie; it looked good,at least in comparison to his salad but Bailey was a bit of a health nut these days and to see another person scarf down the forbidden just struck him a tad funny. He took in her rather unsual appearance before looking away. "I guess it takes all sorts." he mumbled to himself before looking back at the rest of them. Was there a connection between them all? He couldn't help but wonder if it was at random or had they been exposed to something but none of them looked familiar. Arthur wasn't even from the same country and Sienna was in the military. The rest didn't seem plausible either though he wasn't quite sure if he'd have even noticed them out in the real world.

'All sorts.' his subconscious mused as he went back to eating wondering how much he had missed in his day to day. The self absorption that surrounded his life but that aside, Arthur was right. At least for the moment. They, whoever they were, had put a lot of time and money into this facility. They also didn't have a malicious feel to them, though the biohazard suits didn't exactly scream welcome. Maybe this wouldn't be too bad. His hand slipped up to readjust his glasses, feeling his mind relax at the normality that came with the habitual movement.

Bailey cleared his throat before looking up to the ceiling, he was trying to find the words to keep himself and the mood lighthearted, "So what do you think your super powers are?" Baily asked. The idea of developing super powers seemed less terrifying when he thought about all the interesting things he might be able to do. Would be be able to split like the woman? Or maybe even fly? It was a small comfort,
like a child day dreaming about impossible things.

'I see.' Bailey thought dryly as he subconsciously shuffled behind his escort. Actually, he didn't see. The information the woman had leveled on them had sent Bailey's brain into overdrive. On a basic level, yeah- sure. Human DNA can alter over the course of decades as it mutates to adapt to the ever changing environment but this? He clenched his fist, enjoying the momentary distraction as his knuckles cracked under the pressure. This was too much.

Shakily be pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. The two of them had been traversing in silence when the man halted suddenly. "To your right is your room, number eleven." His voice was surprisingly soft as he waited a moment to allow Bailey to turn his head towards the door. Sure enough, Bailey Collins was printed out in neat bold-typed words and cleanly pressed over the rooms number. They must of been informed of his minimal vision in his right eye. Even under normal circumstances he would've missed the obvious sign but before he had a chance to thank his nameless companion, the man had already begun his journey forward once more.

Sighing, the boy followed obediently. There wasn't much else he could do at this point. 'Do they truly wish to release us at the end?' He mused. It seemed a bit farfetched they'd allow super powered humans to go galavanting freely but then again. The woman seemed so at ease, so fluid in motion and confidence. It was no mere trick she had performed but a true act of superhuman affliction. Glancing down at his own pallid skin that stretched across his fingers Bailey wondered what power slept within him.

His thoughts were cut short as they arrived at the cafeteria. Almost everyone seemed to be there already. Most of them had grouped together, while one boy had chosen a spot off to himself.

He thanked the mystery man as he quickly explained the options before him. Despite the oddity of the day the thought of food was oddly calming. Without much hesitation he made his way over, picking up a plate before piling on a bed of cold spinach leafs. From there he made a make shift salad. Afraid that something too heavy would turn his uneasy stomach sour. At the end of the spread was various drinks, along with a peculiar blue drink. Nabbing a bottle of water and the blue substance he turned to look around the cafeteria once more.

A moment of hesitation caught him. Did he try to make friends or did he wish to sit and sulk while reality sank in?

'Friends.' His subconscious blurted out. They were in no doubt as much shock as he was, plus who knows if the time would come that he'd need to put his trust in another person to survive. At the very least it would be nice to not have to deal with this alone.

He headed over to the small group, giving the lone boy his space to process this all. "Hey, I'm Bailey." He greeted them before poring himself into a chair next to one of the blonde girls. At any other time he would've been more than a little pleased to be in the company of not one but two women but not today. He watched one of the girls fiddle with her own cup full of blue liquid. "Doesn't look to pleasing, does it?" Bailey commented as he frowned at his own cup. With a nervous tremor he swished the stuff around before muttering, "Bottoms up." and downed it like a shot.

At first there seemed to be no noticeable taste but as it lingered Bailey's face twisted up in mild disgust as the bitterness settled in. "Well, that was unpleasant." He opened his water and gulped it happily as it washed away the unpleasant lingering taste.

"So," He paused nervously, "What do you all make of what the lady said?" He asked the group, his voice softer and filled with worry.

@Jinxer I thought she meant like manipulation of mass, not manipulation of the masses.

Mora has but a moment to get into place before Reese had flown at her. Her eyes widened in surprise as he closed the distance between the two. "Oh." the word fled her lips as she felt his foot catch on hers, suddenly she felt herself shift as he closed his hand around her wrist. As the surprise begin to fade she felt her body pull away, her feet disengaged from his and found the ground beneath her. Now she needed to get her wrist from his grasp. Mora's lips pressed into a firm line, her teeth gritted as she bent her free arm and swung it at the boys neck. With their close proximity there was no way for him to dart away as Emil had.

She felt his body connect with hers in a solid thud as she yanked herself backwards and free. Panting, she crouched as her subconscious argued with her instincts on what their next move should be. "Come on, hero. At this pace you'll be nothing but a blood stain on the field!" Schulz barked at her from behind. It was like something within her clicked to life as her mind suddenly went still. Mora charged at Reese but her earlier hesitation had given him time to readjust, as with Emil her first strike missed but he wasn't nearly as nimble. She noted the stumble in his footsteps, the slight shake in his stance as he dove out of her way.

"You're dead, hero," Schultz mocked in the background, "Power means nothing if you can't connect the shots." Beneath his criticism he was offering advice. Nodding she rushed Reese again, limbs tight beside her body as she sought to close the gap between the two. As she neared instead of lashing out as she normally would she chose feign a punch to his left. It was when he went to step back that she shot her hand out and grabbed him by his belt and pulled him forward. His moment worked against her, unfortunately, but she still managed to make him change direction as Reese stumbled forward before her. Mora swung out her leg, aiming for his mid section. As long as he was off balance and more importantly off guard for the moment she had the upper hand.
@LetMeDoStuff Absolutely no worries. Llama is out for a week so I don't believe any of us are too pressed about posts for the moment. Just get to feeling better. That's the important thing here.

There was a satisfied feeling that floated through Mora as she felt her kick connect and watched Emil topple over. Though they feeling was short lived. While Emil easily bounced his way back up, Mora was having some issues. She could feel her body protest as she stood back up, her limbs not wanting to move as readily as they normally would but she wasn't about to eat that slow her down.

Her smile had dissipated as she launched another attack at the cadet, but where her fist should of connected with flesh Mora only felt air. Emil was light on his feet as the two seemingly danced around each other. 'Shit.' she growled as once again, Emil slid just out of her reach. This was getting her no where. Panting and sweating she stepped back, taking the defense now. She was in no shape to close the gap in between the two of them. Emil's movements were smooth and precise. With each attack she had launched he managed to wait until the last moment before darting away and as a result her body was wearing out fast.

She was going to try to draw him out of the defense when "Switch!" Shultz yelled over the crowd. Sighing, Mora let herself relax before looking over at Emil. "Good job." she breathed before turning to Jade, "I warn ya. Kid's fast." Mora laughed. She'd have to try fighting him again, when her body didn't feel so tight but despite her earlier foulness Mora felt herself leaving the match on a good mood. Wiping the sweat off her face the redhead headed over towards Reese and Lauren. She smiled at her friend. She might be a medic but Lauren's mom had imparted down of her skills on her beloved daughter. "That's right, Law. Soften him up so I can take him down!" she laughed once more. Reese didn't look as light on his feet as Emil did, Mora was hoping she'd at least get in a shot or two this round.
