As they had reached the auditorium, Bailey sought a seat apart from the others for the first time. Twice he had been caught off guard this morning, between the odd girls apologies and then the intense stare down from the boy, Bailey's nerves had started to frey. He had hoped to have some space to mentally prepare him for what may come next. Questions and scenarios shot off at rapid fire, going from one possibility to the next. Would they torture them? Give them some sort of medicinal boost? Would there be experiments? Bailey's mind was a treasure trove of curiosity.

Luckily, he didn't have to wait long before the woman from the previously stepped out and greeted them. He listened, almost disappointed, to her quip about the days activities. 'Blood work and some exercise? That's hardly bad at all.' Bailey let out a pent up breath as his body relaxed.

"Bailey Collins?" a soft voice caught his attention. As the rest of the group was pairing off with their trainers, Bailey scanned the line before his eyes rested on the upturned face of a cheery woman. Instantly he felt his face grow flush as rose to go meet his trainer. "You alright, dear? You look a little flushed." the woman inquired as Bailey approached. Her voice was smooth, a little deeper than most women his age but it wasn't her voice that had caught him so off guard but rather her appearance.

Bailey nodded silently, eyes boring a hole into the space between his feet. "Okay then, well I am Emma Lythe but you may call me Emma or Em. After all, we'll be spending quite a bit of time together." Emma let out of a light chuckle as she started to walk away. Bailey, who's mouth suddenly felt like the Sahara desert, blindly followed behind her. Looking up he noted how easily he overshadowed Emma, even with the heels she wore Bailey was a good foot taller than the woman.

"In this room, please."

Bailey could hear the smile in her voice and his heart squeezed a little tighter as he stepped quickly around her. "Alright, just take a seat. It'll be a quick prick, then I'll need you to go get something to eat and drink. Then when you get back we'll start the physical part of your test. Sound good?" He gave her a curt nod before settling into his chair.

"You know, when I read your file, I didn't take you for the shy type. You haven't said a word to me nor have you even looked at me." Emma prodded as she gathered the necessary equipment. "Its not very nice, you know."

Sighing, Bailey forced himself to look up. His face turning darker as he watched a smile slid across her face. "I'm sorry." He muttered sheepishly.

"There you are." Emma replied brightly, moving in to quickly stick her patients arm. From here Bailey could see her face more closely, notice the fine lines that creased around her eyes when she talked. The little wisps of hair that has fallen from the neat bun that perched high on the back of her head. More importantly he could see the myriad of colors in her eyes, what once was simple grey slated eyes were now flecked with bits of blue and surprisingly splashes of pale yellow.

Emma looked up at him, catching his intense gaze and smiled. 'Oh god, even her eyes smiled.' his heart battered in his chest.

"You know, you could've just told me what was bothering you." Emma scolded as she placed a bandaid on his arm, "Lots of people are uneasy with needles and blood. I would've given you a stress ball or something."

Bailey couldn't help but let out a small laugh at her. Glad that she had mistaken his flustered state for a phobia, at least in that way he didn't seem so awkward. "Sorry, didn't want to seem like a wimp." Bailey chuckled. He looked up at her, surprised to see a scowl plastered across her lips and her brows furrowed in disapproval.

"Mr. Collins, we are here to insure that you develop safely and with little hassle. For me to do my job correctly I need you to be open and honest. You must take this seriously."

'More misunderstanding.' he sighed internally, it wasn't like he could outright say that he was acting out of sorts because she was beautiful. No matter how true that statement was. Even now, with her visage of disapproval, his heart still squeezed lightly when he looked at her too long. "Who would've thought your type was older chicks?"

Bailey stood up quickly, attempting to be fluid but only managing to stumble slightly before getting his bearings. "Careful!" Emma had reached out to catch him if he had fallen, her voice now riddled with worry, "I took a good bit of blood, you'll need to refrain from quick movements until you can get some food and rest." She motioned towards the door in a polite dismissal.

Bailey didn't hesitate, wanting to our some distance between himself and the woman. As he got into the hallway he wandered down, looking for the vending machine that, that boy had raided this morning.

Her heaviness, Mora didn't expect her to feel so heavy against her. Her own limbs were heavy, muscles sore from their endeavour and her soul weary. Tears still spill freely but at least she felt calm, well as calm as she could manage as the faint headache began to blossom in the back of her skull. It grew deeper with each throb of her pulse, "Of course." Mora replied as she wrapped her arms under Lauren's sleeping from.

Mora steeled herself before lifting the girl off the floor and carrying her to her bunk. She had attempted to set her down gently but instead she managed to plop Lauren into the bed. Mora was drained, physically and mentally. Her heart hurt for the both of them. For all their losses, all the secrets and all the self blame. Sighing she slink around to the other side of Lauren, trying her best not to jostle her, and pulled her close. They'd go to sleep and nothing would change, right? After all- everyone would still be dead but Mora could brush away her thoughts. No, nothing would quite be the same. Lauren's confession had ultimately sparked something in her, she'd no longer gloss over her friends pain. All her long held jealousy would eventually melt away.

Then there was the matter of her feelings. Mora watched as Lauren's chest softly rose and fell with each breath. Did she mean them? Did she really love her? Even the word brought an ache to her chest. Maybe it was just the sheer exhaustion of overwhelming emotions, Mora didn't know. She felt like she didn't know anything anymore.

Slowly the edges of darkness began to creep across her vision. 'Maybe tomorrow, things will be clearer.' she hoped. Lauren's fAce began to swim as her lids grew heavy. 'We'll figure it out tomorrow, Law. You and me.' Mora sleepily promised before surrendering herself to the abyss of sleep.

Mora sighed deeply, enjoying the heat that slowly seeped into her flesh. Inside the cabin she had carelessly dumped her pack nearby a bunk and crawled half frozen into the bed. Wrapping the soft comforter around her frozen body the red beaded woman allowed herself to relax fully as she ignored the need a of water that begun to trickle down. As her limbs began to thaw she flexed her toes, cautiously checking that each of them worked. "I am not meant for the cold." she muttered to herself as the tinkling of laughter echoed from the outside.

On one hand she was glad they were able to find some bliss within the frozen world outside those doors, on the other she had no desire to step foot back out there. At least not until she was warm through and through. Instead, Mora hunkered down, closing her eyes as she tried to match the voices to her fellow cadets. Was that Gabriel's voice shouting? Maybe, Olivia's laughter- it certainly wasn't Jade's. Mora could feel herself smirk as she played her game. Here's laughter was like a starburst of color, that is when she laughed.

A sudden chill snaked through the air as the cabin door swung open. Frowning she chose to huddle further down as she listened to footsteps pad through the cabin.

"You're missing a hell of a snowball fight outside, Ra."

A familiar voice called out to her, bringing the reluctant Mora out from her cover fortress. She had opened her mouth to respond but hesitated as she got a closer look at the girl's face. Mora slowly brought herself to the edge of the bed, still wrapped tightly as she took a closer look at Lauren. Normally shed see the soft smile that graces her lips, the kindness that pooled in her gaze and the way she carried herself always put Mora at ease but instead the girl looked wary. Mora noticed the waver that flashed across her face. Her lips drawn and taunt as she seemed to struggle against something unknown.

"Ra, you awake still? I need to talk to you about something."

'Yeah, okay. Somethings wrong." concern had filled her thoughts as she sat up a little straighter, "Yeah, I'm up." Mora replied as she watched Lauren move to her pack. Seconds dragged out between them as she pulled out her medical bag and brought it over to them. Now Mora was flush with fear and confusion. Quizzically, she watched Lauren as she pulled out a bottle and handed it too her.

Blinking Mora took it in her own hands, the glass was chilled from its trek in the snow and bit at the warmth of her hands. With a burning curiosity she plucked the cork from it mouth and breathed in the pungent scent of alcohol. Mora's nose wrinkled at the scent, she had never been fond of the drink and for a moment wondered why her friend had given her a bottle. That was until she had started to roll the bottle in her hands, "Empty?" she inquired as she looked up but the sight of Lauren stung.

"I needed it to sleep. I have done ever since... that day. That was my last bottle." the words poured from her small frame, almost apologetic in nature. Mora's mouth had opened as she searched within herself for the words bit Lauren gave no pause as she stood up and began to hastily pace the floor between the two. "I meant to tell you... been trying to tell you ever since - no, that's not right. What I wanted - um - no that's not - erm, just let me start again."

She could hear the tightness in her voice. The madness that clawed at the end of each syllable as her body trembled from the sorrow that haunted her. She plugged the cork back onto the bottle, setting it in her lap as she watched Lauren begin to unravel. Mora wanted to say something, anything, that could sooth the manic muttering from her friend but her mind felt heavy and blank. As her heart squeezed in pain as she realized how much she hadn't been paying attention to Lauren. How much she missed over the time spent together and even now, she sat there dumbstruck as Lauren finally stopped to face her.

"Cain."

It was as if someone had shattered the world around her at the sound of his name. Mora could feel the tears begin to sting but didn't dare to clear them away. She watched, breath shallow, for Lauren to continue. Seeing the grief mirrored on the girl's own delicate features.. "I see him. Every night. I saw... then. Sometimes it was what happened, sometimes he... he wasn't Cain. He'd curse us, threaten us. Then..." Lauren spat out, the words coming fast and tumbling over one another. Tears had begun to spill down her face as she watched Lauren further crack. Tracking each tear that slipped down her cheek to further lush away the own burning her in chest.

"It was you. I couldn't cope with - that was it for me. I couldn't sleep anymore. If I could dream then I would see it and... I couldn't. I needed a way out and that," she pointed at the bottle in Mora's hand, "that was the only thing that worked. But I ran out. I don't want to carry on like this, Ra!" She was pacing again, her arms active as she gestured or pressed against her head or crossed against her chest.

"Lauren..." Mora's words came our as a harsh whisper as Lauren continued, "It's more though. I couldn't come to you or Jade, you were both suffering so much! Cain was your brother, how could I ask for help when it must have been worse for you than it ever was for me?" Inside Mora could feel pieces of her breaking. Each word had sent the knife twisting through gut a little further. How had she shut out Lauren for so long? Mora guessed she just assumed the girl had dealt with her grief and that because she still had her father that she didn't need her in that way.

But... it was my fault! If I hadn't been there - if you hadn't been with me - you'd have both made it." Lauren continued to pour her soul out to her, all her fears and self loathing. Her blaming herself for her brothers death. Mora open and closed her mouth several times as Lauren pressed on, "Because Pa - because you had to help me, Cain ran off. We would have been faster without Pa, made it to the boats before the Titans got there, Cain would've made it. I should've told you both to go but I didn't. So it's my fault."

"But the worst bit... I wasn't fair to him. He died not knowing anything and maybe he did it... for me. You know? I sometimes think he did it to impress me. I know that's not true but I can't help it. And that... that's my fault too. I know he liked me and I never told him. I ran away and never said anything. So he died being lied to, because Pa was hurt, because you were both with me. Because of me."
She has sunk to the floor; a trembling, quivering mess.

"I couldn't tell him because... because it was you, Ra. How could I? What would it do to you both, I couldn't do that. So I said nothing, I let him indulge and then he died because of it. Because I was a coward, because I ran away and didn't want to say the truth. Ever since... I just wanted to care for you. Look after you. Make it up to you both, make up for not saying anything. But... it hurts." She curled up on herself, kneeling in the floor and bent double as if savaged by stomach cramps, hugging herself tightly and sobbing.

"I'm sorry, Ra! I love you and it killed Cain! I killed your brother and I can't bring him back. I can't do this anymore, I can't cope. I don't have any right to ask you now, you couldn't ever love me, you'll probably always hate me, but," she looked up from her position on the floor and with the weighted words of years of torment and pain managed to eek out, "help me?"

Mora's body moved as her mind sat addled with the weight of the information. She didn't know how she felt at the moment but knew one thing, never did she blame Lauren. Not once in the years that had passed. Not a day as they worked through training. Sure, there was jealousy that had stained her thoughts when it came to Lauren's father. Her being able to cling to something of the past where all Mora had was emptiness. Mora had blamed herself though. Every night and every morning. She had blamed herself for not being there for her family. For being weak. For not dying with them.

She enclosed the trembling girl in her arms pulling her in close and hard. "No." She managed to squeak out as she pressed her face into Lauren's hair. "It was never your fault, you hear me?! Mora's voice shook and bled with emotions. "I never blamed you. I will never hate you. Law," She pulled back to cup the girls face in her hands, brushing away her tears, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I wasn't there for you."

Her eyes searched Lauren's, pleading and drowning in guilt, "I'm so sorry. I, I missed the signs. I didn't let you grieve with me. I-" Mora shook as she pulled Lauren back to her, "You are precious to me. Law and I am so sorry." The word sorry felt like such an inadequate word- how could she excuse herself from her neglect? How could she make up for years of letting Lauren drown in herself?

"I'm here." she breathed, trying to calm herself. "I am here and I'm never letting you go." Mora's heart felt like the day she watched Cain die. Lauren's cries now echoes beside Cain's screams and inside she felt the old familiar sting of self hatred, but Lauren was alive. She was flesh and blood beneath her touch and in her silence, Mora made a new promise to herself. She'd keep Lauren safe, keep her close and loved at all costs.

Blinking Bailey had looked up at the young woman as she apologized, confusion written clearly across his face. 'What?' his broad furrowed but she had already left the table, pushing past a particularly loud man who had barreled in. His mind was already muddled with Maria's voice still echoing in his mind like an unwanted ghost. He wanted to ask her what she was apologizing for, after all he was the one who pushed her earlier. Glancing up at Sienna he asked, "Do you know why she apologized?" hoping she had caught something he had missed.

Before she had a chance to respond the intercom click on overhead. Had an hour passed already? Suddenly Bailey felt weary, as if someone had sapped all the strength from his limbs. It seemed like the adjustment time was over and they were now going to start their 'trials'. Arthur was quick to speak up as he stepped out of the kitchen, encouraging the rest of them to heed the woman's directions and head to the auditorium. Out of the lot of them he seemed to be the most complying.

Bailey sighed loudly before getting up from his table, leaving behind his mess for one of the workers to clear. He looked over at the new guy once again, noticing that none had bothered to answer him or even try to quell his fear. He twitched his fingers slightly before striding up to him. "Uh," he paused, unsure of what to say, "I'm Bailey." he stuck out his hand for the boy to shake. What he going to say? That he was here because he had some super power? He already seemed like he was in total denial, not that Bailey could blame him. The whole idea was absurd. "Arthur's right, we should probably head on to the auditorium. Looks like they're going to start our super power training." Bailey tacked on with a dry, awkward chuckle.

"We can walk together if you'd like? Its a lot to take in." he was aware on just how awkward he had sounded. He readjusted his glasses once again, trying to play off his own unease. As he looked around he noticed the same boy who had sat off on his own the other day, sitting down with a mini hoard of items from the bending machine. "Hey, yo!" Bailey called out waving at him, "We're heading to the auditorium, want to come with?" There was always a safe feeling when it came to facing the unknown in numbers and right now, Bailey needed that little bit of courage to help stave off the niggling feeling of worry that kept creeping.

Mora was taken back by Grant's words, she had been so consumed by the cold and her own bitterness that she had failed to properly look at the world around her. Well, what she could see through the snowy haze. For the first time since they had started the hike Mora relaxed her body, looking up away from her frozen feet and at the mountain range around them. 'Oh.' Was the only word that manage to tumble across her thoughts as the almost picturesque landscape started to come into view as small smile graced her lips. He was right and she had almost missed it.

Mora would of never expected Grant to be the type to point out the beauty in the world, 'Not everyone is as bitter as you are.' Her subconscious reminded her. Turning to comment on Grant's words as Lauren playfully chided Mora on her foul language. Laughing, she could feel the bite of the cold air in her lungs. "Hey now." She managed to playfully shout back as she made a face at her friend. No matter what the trial that faces them Mora knew she could count on Lauren and Jade. Even Grant had helped make this trek less of a nuisance.

"Hey, the storm seems to be letting up." Mora commented to her group. She could see around them easier and the chilling wind had lulled to a gentle breeze. Inside she was thanking the gods for the brief respite from the weather. Without all the snow whipping in her eyes it made her movements easier as they continued their drudge upwards. Looking back she flashed everyone a smile, she wasn't sure who else had spotted the warm glow that arched over the skies above. The end was in site and even the thought of warmth had filled her body with new vigor.

They marched on, in Mora's eagerness she had tripped over her own two feet and tumbled into the snow below. With much grumbling she managed to get herself back up. Shaking harder than before as her clothes, now damp, begun to freeze to her body. Her earlier eagerness had been replaced with bitter muttering as they finally reached the cabins. Around her other cadets spilled in from their journey but Mora paid them little mind. Her only goal was on get inside and defrost.

As she headed to her cabin she spotted Olivia, a child-like grin plastered to her face. Mora smiled at the girl, "Glad to see you're ok." she called over to her. Their time working together with Lauren and given Mora a new application for her. Her lighthearted nature did will to keep Mora our of her darker thoughts, just being around her brought a small sense of joy. Though that didn't stop Mora from stomping towards the cabin, still shivering as she tried to shake the snow from her gear. The heat that radiated from inside the cabin felt like a sirens song to her weary body. Beckoning her with open arms and a promise of relief.

Bailey choked on a sip of his coffee as the young woman slid into the seat before him. He quickly covered his mouth as he attempted to save some face as the drink dribbled from his mouth but she didn't seem taken back by his sudden nervousness. Instead the young woman began to speak, her words clipped with a cold anger, but that wasn't what caught Bailey's attention. Her voice, it was there, smooth as silk as it lilted with an accent but there was something else. As if there was an echo to each word.

"Mary?" he mumbled as his head seemed to fill up with the fog of distant memories. It couldn't be Mary, Mary was dead. He shook his head as he tried to clear his confusion. It was impossible. This girl didn't even look anything like Mary, yet he was so sure that he had heard her voice. 'Maybe, I'm more tired than I thought?' He sighed, brushing back a few wet strands of hair from his face before looking back at the girl. 'Crap, she's still staring at me.' Bailey subverted his gaze to his half empty cup of coffee, surely she was waiting on him to respond. Maybe even defend himself but his mouth felt dry. His thoughts swimming with the confusion as Mary's voice still rang across his mind.

Had she said something similar? No. It wasn't likely. Mary was soft and sweet where this girl was bold and full of an icey anger. "My apologies." he managed to choke out as he tried to shove the uncomfortable feeling that was tightening around his chest. "I was rude." he tacked on as he picked up his half eaten apple, feeling the smoothness of its skin beneath his fingertips. Bailey didn't dare look back up at the woman, his expression had clouded with darkness and his face had turned a dark red from embarrassment but more so he didn't want her to see the faint tears that had begun to sting his eyes. 'Mary...'

BLEEEEEE

"Wha-"

EEEEEEEE

Bailey sleepily thrust his arm out from beneath the covers and blindly smacked at the nightstand, seeking to silence the irritating alarm but managed to knock off his glasses to the floor instead. 'Shit.' he moaned internally before sitting up. The room around him swam as his eyes began to adjust. Confusion and sleep pulled at his senses. Nothing around him made sense, this wasn't his room. Using the palms of his hand he wiped away the the last tendrils of sleep in his eyes as memories flooded back. 'Oh.' Now everything made sense again, more or less.

He didn't want to get up, Bailey wanted to crawl back under the covers and surrender himself to the bliss of dreaming. Instead he was given another announcement, done in the same metallic drone as the night before. Frowning he slid out of the bed, careful to not step on his glasses. "Should I make the bed?" he questioned out loud before shrugging than worry off. Surely if they minded they'd let him know. For now he had more important things to worry about like breakfast.

Spying a open door in his room, Bailey found his bathroom and rushed through his morning ritual. He left his clothes in a like as he stepped into the shower, scrubbing away whatever tiredness that still lingered in his limbs.

"Clothes?" he kicked at his worn ones before looking around. Surely they didn't expect them to wear the same things over and over. What if they had them wear uniforms? His mind wandered as he opened up the closet to find a fully stocked wardrobe similar to the fashion he and come in. "Huh." it shouldn't of surprised him but still he was set a little on edge.

His stomach growled as it urged him to hurry and Bailey once more pushed down his uneasiness and changed into fresh clothes. "Man, I bet they don't allow smoking down here." He complained, his mood now set on irritation. Bailey liked to think of himself as a social smoker but in truth he had been steadily upping the amount of cigarettes he had each day and right now his body hummed with the need for nicotine. Slamming the closet door shut he sulked over to the bed, managing to bump into foot rest along the way. "Fuck me." Bailey growled before snatching the glasses off the floor.

Hurriedly he slammed the door to his room behind him and marched down to the cafeteria. "Great." he complained out loud as a few others came into sight. His bad mood poured out from him as he pushed past everyone and went to raid the kitchen- largely ignoring the rest of them as he started a pot of coffee. If he couldn't have nicotine, he was going to flood his body with caffeine. In the meantime he started poking around the fridge. Bailey shoved an apple onto his mouth as he grabbed some coffee cream. Kicking the door shut he set about making his first cup, visibly relaxing as the scent of coffee flooded the kitchen.

It was only after his first sip that he realized he had rudely pushed himself around the others. Blinking he looked around and muttered, "Sorry, nicotine withdraw." Bailey apologized sheepishly before taking another bite of his apple. 'Wait.' his mind clicked. Something was different, well someone was different. He vaguely remembered the mention of a new person over the intercom. Bailey looked her over once before heading out to sit down at the tables. 'Cute.' He noted.

Well, Bailey had never been to California. So there was no connection there at least. He'd almost venture the illness was a product of contamination, after all lake Michigan was a vortex of foulness that promptly killed any life that dared to attempt to grow there but Bailey wouldn't dare step foot in those waters. He had begun to pick lightly at his salad as he listened to the chatter. His mind pouring over all the obscure details, looking for some hidden clue when the intercom above buzzed to life.

He winced at the intrusion. There was something unpleasant about the way they distorted someone's voice, turning their tone to a more cold and distant figure. 'I guess that's all we're going to learn today.' Around him everyone had started getting up and heading to their rooms. A flicker of panic ran through him. Everyone seemed so obedient, were they blinding following into some sort of trap? He could feel a tendril of ice shiver down his spine. 'No.' He shook his head as he took up his own plate. It was too soon to panic. Too soon to fall into the paranoia and fear that came from sudden change.

He passed off his dishes to a nearby worker and trudged out into the hall. Bailey wanted to remain positive. That what lay ahead would bring him to new heights and possibly new goals. 'Yeah because ALL superheroes have a warm and fuzzy backstory.' his mind quipped as it held onto that tendril of hesitation. He flexed his hands once more before adjusting his glasses. Those were stories. Works of fiction and while this was beyond the realm of normal. It was still very much so reality.

Slowly the boy ambled up the hall, inspecting each door as he searched for his name and number. "Ah. Eleven, yes." there was a fracture of hesitation as he reached towards the door. Everything else was beyond lush, so would his room reflect that? Or would it be like a prison? 'Only one way to find out!'

Sucking in a deep breathe he swung open the door and stepped inside. "Damn..." he breathed. The room was bathed in soft light, the colors sharp and modern like the rest of the facility. Everything was tidy and put away. Shutting the door behind him with a soft click, Bailey stepped further in to get a better look. Yeah. This was surely no prison. His shoulders dropped as he let the tension run out from his body and let exhaustion take its place. Sleep, sleep is what he needed right now. Sliding off his shoes he made his way to the bed, only to pause to set his glasses on the nightstand. He climbed into the bed and relished the softness of the sheet and the warmth of the comforter. It didn't take long for Bailey to drift off, his body twitching as dreams rolled through and drowned out his new reality.

'This is bullshit." Mora thought as she dug her frozen fingertips further into her arms, not that it helped much. Her body was pinnacle of pain as she felt the ice burrow into her flesh like thousands of needles. Though they marched on. A familiar feeling that had become second nature to her over the last six months. With every bruise and twisted ankle, the cadets pressed on. She pressed on. There was a time where she didn't feel like she could expand anymore. That her mind was set on the course of revenge but with Schultz's unforgiving drills, even that spark had begun to fade.

Not to misunderstand though, Mora still loathed the titans with her very core but now she was smarter, stronger. She no longer lead with her heart. Mora had even begun to listen to her fellow cadets and though Schulz had recoiled his aggression her nickname had stuck. Hero. An insult turned to goal. Mora was now closer than ever to her goal. She had put behind her, her failed tests and even drummed up friendly rivalry with a few of the others. Lauren had proven extremely useful, beyond her fathers medical influences she stopped to help and teach her mothers techniques.

Mora had went toe to toe with Reese several times. The two of them locked in a battle of one upping the other. Mora still struggled to close gaps with s few of the faster members but overall age watched them and herself grow. There was s pride she felt when she looked at her team. The stepped up where others faltered and a new meaning of teamwork was imprinted in her mind. Though none of that mattered right at the moment, because right now she was just freezing.

Groaning as her teeth chartered she turned to her group, "Y'all doing ok?" her voice shook as she felt her body spasm. Squinting against the abrasive winds she tried to do a body count, wanting to make sure no one got lost or left behind. "This weather is a bitch." Mora hissed as she decided closer to one of the cadets. She couldn't quite make out who was who in this damned weather. 'Soon.' The thought was meant to keep her feeling positive and focused but instead it came with the old familiar feeling of anger and spite. Soon they'd take the battle field and fell the titan. They'd protect humanity. Mora felt that with her entire being. Even if she didn't survive, she knew those behind her would fill in the space. With a grimace she trudged further on. Ignoring the fact she could no longer feel her feet within her boots.
