Palpatine is in cahoots with Anubis. Or is it the other way around?

Renatus arrives, notes the presence of other ships.

Moonreaver eats some dirty, no-good, Terrans and then arrives.

Kearsarge is in the middle of battle, gets destroyed-except, no, now it's in a different universe.

Solomon ends up in another universe mid flip-and-burn.

Eggman and Sonia and Oglivie arrive in the Egg Carrier

Faith of Heart appears, broken slightly

Daedalus appears, with Lt. Sheppard in tow

Andromeda, somewhat damaged, gets the hail about Atlantis. They counter-hail, and threaten to board.

Renatus asks if everyone could please introduce themselves. Peacefully.

Moonreaver introduces itself and notes that they were pulled from their own universe

Egg Carrier arrives.

Kearsarge introduces itself, and then defensively asks whether Andromeda is threatening another Earth ship

Renatus confirms weirdness, is mildly suspicious of Zerg similarity to Wraith; proposes a face-to-face

Daedalus wants peace and science!

Andromeda stands down their threat, but is confused at the lack of wave motion tech, and just wants to go home. They also have no transport to get to another ship.

Moonreaver realizes that alternate universes are in play, and then offers to send an away team to Renatus

Renatus agrees

Faith of Heart continues to vent plasma, and launches a runabout

Egg Carrier convinces itself the Imperials are Overlanders; Imperials threaten Egg Carrier, believing it to be Separatist. Combat ensues. The Imperials are boarded, and a Star Destroyer is captured.

Solomon goes on alert, realizes that multiverse shenanigans are afoot. They inform the others about the multiverse theory.

Kearsarge sends a transport over to Andromeda to shuttle people over.

Andromeda agrees to Kearsarge's transport plan

Daedalus sends the protaganists from SG:A over to the Rentus; Anubis notes the new ships as the Others' plan to thwart him

Renatus lowers shields to allow people aboard

Faith of Heart's runabout warps in

Moonreaver sends over the broodmother, a couple of hydralisks, and an infested terran to Renatus. They're somewhat fleshy organic horrors.

Egg Carrier encounters Assimilator-Class Star Destroyers: SD's with better shields, better weapons, and better hyperdrive. Egg Carrier mines their captured SD for a pitiful amount of data and then books it.

Renatus hosts foreign crews! Thus begins discussions as to why they were all brought here.

Kearsarge picks up Andromeda's people, and lands at the Renatus.

Moonreaver notes that everyone is weirdly Terran. Out loud, they propose travelling to a different system to contact the locals.

Renatus is down for that plan.

Faith of Heart's runabout spies on the rag-tag fleet. It initiates contact, asking for help because they're lost.

Daedalus plots an escape route, just in case, and returns Faith of Heart's runabout's hail. Meanwhile, on the Renatus, the away team agrees that they need to seek answers elsewhere.

Faith of Heart is surprised Daedalus is from Earth, and then asks for coordinates to beam in.

Egg Carrier meets some Separatists/resistance-movement-ists (led by Bromb Krashtal) and makes friends.

Moonreaver's delegation is curious about the Daedalus claiming to have seen something like this multiverse-ness before.

Groundhog's Day: Apocalypse

Earth is destroyed in a massive fireball. There's nothing you could possibly do to stop it.

And then you wake up yesterday again, memories intact.

You and your fellow RP'ers are caught in a time loop. At the end of the loop, Earth is destroyed. It's up to you to figure out how Earth is destroyed, why time keeps looping, and how to stop it. Everyone else doesn't seem to notice the time loop.

You live in a small town in the Finger Lakes region of New York state. The biggest industries of the town are: Simmons Lab - a federal arboreal research laboratory; Melakron Plastics - a manufacturing plant for medical devices; and Hayt General store, a moderately-sized store that sells everything: guns, gas, cheetos and t-shirts.

Mechanics:
Every 20 posts, the apocalypse happens, and time resets. This is conveniently equal to how many posts there are on a page; every page is the start of the same day.
*No cramming several posts into one giant mega-post
*You will die many times
*So will everyone else

@Burning Kitty@Assallya@Dnafein I'm calling a moratorium on this discussion for now before people say things other people regret, the discussion stops being a discussion and becomes an argument, and then the RP dies.

A Final Word

Burning Kitty's sheet was accepted, and at this point in this RP's canon, full holographic crew/multi-vector assault mode exist and are things. Nobody is threatening the nonexistence of your ship/concept.

Two (of many) types of RP'ers are: those that enjoy looking up details and carefully thinking them through to arrive at the right answer, and those that have an idea and grab any details they can find to back them up. I think you two are both detail-oriented people, you're just using them differently.

It's incredibly difficult to properly research and arrive at a single right and consistent answer for anyone else's ship but your own in this sort of RP, which is why (as I stated in the OOC) I tend toward narrative evidence rather than externally-sourced arguments.

In short, neither of you are wrong. You're orthogonal to each other. So keep that in mind.

Also, NanoFreakV2 and I, after talking about it and combining what I've said earlier and what Stargate does with Goa'uld shields on the show, have arrived at this:

• Energy weapons are better against Goa'uld shields, kinetics are better against hull
• The more concentrated the energy weapon, the better it is against Goa'uld shields
• Large kinetics (think MAC cannons, nukes) are somewhat effective against Goa'uld shields; smaller kinetics (generic missiles, small railguns) are nearly useless
• Similarly, large energy weapons (think 2km long laser beam-ship) somewhat effective against hull, while smaller energy weapons (generic staff cannons) tend to dissipate.
• These are guidelines. Weird situations will arise that lead to exceptions.

I definitely had total confidence in this RP's ability to leave the runway. I'm a very self-confident lady.

The bridge was a hub of efficient chaos. Admiral Kardoff breathed easier now that General Vell and his particular breed of insanity was no longer present. He turned his attention to the battlespace projected on a holo screen. It was crowded and messy, like... well, like someone threw a bunch of ships from disparate militaries together and then attacked. Kardoff frowned, eyes narrowing. If they weren't careful-

All the lights in the bridge dimmed and came back online. The ship shuddered and vibrated like a plucked cello. Admiral Kardoff had to grab the edges of the holo table.

"What has that blasted Jedi done now!?" he demanded.

Hmm.

That changes the fight somewhat, but not completely. Palpatine still has an initial advantage; Luke can predict the shots of a training robot, so Palpatine should be able to predict incoming fire. Just not as well.

I'll edit my post.

Let's be honest, though, Palpatine is alone on an enemy ship. Barring the intervention of Anubis, it won't end well for him. Of course, it's debatable if Anubis' intervention will end well for Palpatine either.

Okay! I think I got everything. Those of you TL;DR'ing (I'd prefer you didn't, that post took two hours, and then I spent another hour editing it down to as short as I could), you should be able to get away with the hider and looking at your @mentions, if you have one.

TL;DR (spoilers)

A Tok'ra agent asks the party at large for help getting off of Anubis' mothership.

The imperial shuttle gets blown up. Captain Bonma and his comms officer are barely alive in the cockpit, floating in the hyperspace vortex with the Ahel. An Al'kesh and two gliders are also with the Ahel. They start firing.

The rest of the crew, and Palpatine, are on the Creed's Alpha section. The other officers are downed (stunned?) immediately. Palpatine is in a defensive fight.

Anubis' mothership fires her guns at The Liberator while closing to Asgard Transport Beam range with the Creed's Alpha section. Two Al'Kesh decloak near the section and open fire, attempting to disable shields so that Anubis can transport troops on board, tag Palpatine with a tracker, and transport him off it.

I know you said straight to the brig, but it's Palpatine. His well-honed reflexes and general Big Bad Guy nature means that there's got to be a fight scene. I'd feel guilty missing the opportunity, otherwise!
