Sometimes, it was hard to tell if you were being insulted, particularly when people mentioned children... it didn't
seem like it, but to the already-irritated vampire it was one of those times she wished that alcohol actually had any effect on her. Maybe it would make dealing with idiocy more pleasant.

meant much given their low numbers, "I have to attend noble or royal balls
far more than anyone should stomach.
"So yes, I met Phoran Cal before the rebellion as he attended court. I also met his father, grandmother, most other immediate relatives that didn't hold the title, and I even met his daughter a few times before he rebelled. It's safe to say that I probably met, in some capacity, the entire command structure of both sides of the rebellion. Why?"
