Yogs traders would probably have to pay a toll of some sort, but that's nothing unusual. The distance however is pretty long for trade over land. Not saying it can't be done, but it'd be quicker to pay the toll overseas instead.
Three weeks IRL is too long for one season. I'd like more action than that.
I don't see why not. You're in control of your own flora and fauna.

The map will not be updated just to move the border. I'd have to start it all over again, and I can't be bothered to do that. We all know where the border goes anyway.
Just RP yourself to a temporary stalemate (shitty weather, broken supply train, whatever) until we can get some sort of reaction from the player or the time limit passes. Shouldn't be too much of a bother.
