No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.

Arguing over petty details at times of dimensional emergency was a familiar wizardly trait.

A wizard never had friends, at least not friends who were wizards. It needed a different word. Ah yes, that was it. Enemies. But a very different class of enemies. Gentlemen.
I'm growing on the idea that Simbel will deadpan a lot. The poor girl is used to speaking with trees, for gods sake - she can't be expected to understand such advanced civilized interactions as quips and japes!
Simbel looks from the Elvian with the red hair to the jittery woman with the dirtied robes with unblinking eyes, her face as if carved from ivory. She understands that they're experiencing fright, but cannot fathom why. Her actions, to her mind, have not been dangerous or otherwise threatening. But then again, civilized people were strange, and had strange customs. Perhaps it was right in their world to react with fear to questions from strangers. She could see the sense in that, in a way, although the idea seemed foreign to her. Just like the city dwellers often had trouble understanding the language and customs of the forest dwellers, she imagined the reverse could also be true. Perhaps they were intimidated by her gaze - yes, that could be it. Many animals were threatened by eye contact. She decided to avert her eyes, lest not to scare them further.
Looking in stead down, slightly relaxing her posture, she turned towards the woman who had not reacted in fear. She was different, in more ways than one. She could not smell it now, her nose not adequate to the task, but as a mouse she had picked up an... unusual scent from this one. She looked like the other women, or at least similar to them, but she was not human, or Elvian for that matter. She had the scent of a predator on her. Simbel could relate to that.
I do not know the words you speak, she said, But it is imperative that I find Mother. You had one of these, earlier, she continued, holding out her token to the strange woman with the almond skin. I think she left it for me to find, as a clue to her whereabouts. I do not know what it is. Do you?
You open your eyes and gasp for air. There's something in your lungs, and you cough and retch to get it out. A cold, white liquid runs down your chin, but at last you can breathe. You can't remember anything; not where you are, or when, or... or WHO you are. You're trapped inside a small, confined space, like a coffin. The walls are a pristine white and slightly curved, like an oval, and the space is illuminated by an unknown source.
Feeling the panic rising, you put your hands on the surface above you, a mere foot from your face. It feels cold and plastic, or maybe metallic, you can't really tell. It doesn't yield, no matter how hard you try. Letters suddenly flash in front of you, a bright red against the spotless white.
You're in full panic now. Sweat breaks out all over your body, naked except for white synthetic underwear covering your pelvis. It's cold. You're trapped. Time is running out. You feel tears burning at the corners of your eyes. You're shaking all over. It can't end like this. You have to get out.
What do you do?

He starts to look around, his breathing coming fast in spite of the warning. There has to be something, anything, he can do to get out. He looks along the interior walls, searching for something that stands out from the white material - a handle, a switch, an opening, anything he can use or push or probe. (Action: Examine)
While he's looking, he starts to shout at the top of his lungs. "Hello?" he screams. "Is there anyone there? Please! I need help!". (Speak)
He tries to crawl around in the coffin, to get a better view of his surroundings. Maybe there's something at his feet, or under him. He squirms and thrashes, trying to move in any way. (Move)

New players must post a CS in the Character Tab containing the sheet below. Leave it as it is until instructed to fill in the blanks in the IC.
Name: ID: Rank: Clearance: Skills:
Equipment:
Each post, your character may attempt one Action. You must describe How your character attempts to complete the action. Apart from the Action, your character may Move (walking a short distance in a room or down a hallway, dropping prone or rising from a prone position, climbing a ladder, etc) and Speak (asking or answering a question, stating a fact, shouting a threat or warning, etc). You must wait for feedback on your Actions, Movements, and Speech before posting again. When interacting with the environment or with NPCs, I will provide that feedback. When interacting with other players, they will provide the feedback. If two players perform contradictory Actions (racing to grab an object, attacking or defending) I will provide an outcome based on the descriptions and any relevant information in their CSs.
Possible Actions
Examine- Your character attempts to identify what a thing is, or how it operates, or if it has qualities beyond what is immediately apparent.
Use- Your character attempts to manipulate or operate an object.
Take - Your character attempts to add an object to their Equipment.
Attack - Your character attempts to use physical force on an object, NPC, or character in order to damage or destroy it.

Equipment(name of Equipment) - Your character attempts to use an item they possess. This Action is often an add-on to another Action (for example Use: Equipment (blue keycard), Attack: Equipment (ray gun), Move: Equipment (jet pack). You may only use Equipment that you have been instructed to add to your CS.
Other Actions may be added if the need arises.
When posting for the first time, you respond to the initial IC post. Mark that post with the header "ACTIVATING" and tag me at the end.
Feel free to ask questions and discuss the game in the OOC. Keep the discussion coordial, and try to keep the game fun and interesting for everyone involved.
I feel like I want to post, but a voice in the back of my head tells me I should wait a bit to give the others a chance to respond. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm hyped!
