@Sanguine Rose The Yamper nodded and let the nice lady take a picture of its adorable self. It was elated when it saw the pictures came out great and puffed its chest out high and held its head up as a show of pride for its absolute cuteness. When asked about if it was on its own or not, it shook its head and turned around, pointing towards a man that must've been only just two-years-older than Jason that looked like he was very busy on his smart phone. It used this as a chance to yip loudly and the young man glanced towards the Yamper almost as if he paid it no mind, but then wide-eyed looked back at it and then at his own feet and then back to the little scamp before he put the phone away, slung a backpack on the verge of death over his shoulder, and rushed over.
"Ah sorry, was he bothering you? I just caught this guy from Route 1, and it doesn't seem like he has any concept of stranger danger." He apologized, then glancing down at the Yamper. "You can't do that when I'm on the phone."
"Yip!" And it looked like it either didn't understand or it just didn't care, much to the exasperation.
He had a very fair complexion, wavy white hair that nearly covered his one of yellow doe eyes. He wore a very dark, desaturated purple bomber jacket, a white t-shirt, slim black jeans, and black low boots. The man had piercings in his ears, some of them were even metal bars going through his ears, and cuffs. Hell, he had a couple of piercings even on his neck of all places and around his neck he wore a necklace with a strange multi-colored gem in place. He also wore a belt that had six Pokeballs and a case.
The young man noticed the Eevee standing by Faye's side. That's a really rare Pokemon, not something that most people could get their hands on. "Forgive me if I'm wrong, but you're a new trainer, aren't you?"
@Zarkun "What the hell?!" He was knocked off his feet by an invisible force and landed on his butt, mainly because he was not expecting to be attacked in the middle of the night. The man looked up and saw that it was some kid and honestly it would have pissed him off that some brat got one over him until he said that heroic line.
The poacher physically cringed and not in a slightly embarrassed way, but full on looked like he felt shame for Jason. "Seriously? 'Poaching is wrong, you bastard?' That's your line? God dammit, I'm embarrassed for you. I'd almost rather deal with the police than you if those clever one-liners continue. Almost."
He tossed out two Pokeballs and out came a very ruffled looking bird and a toy lion with a red mohawk.
Pokédex Entry #627 – Rufflet, the Eaglet Pokémon. If it spies a strong Pokémon, Rufflet can't resist challenging it to a battle. But if Rufflet loses, it starts bawling. It has talons that can crush hard berries.
Pokédex Entry #667 – Litleo, the Lion Cub Pokémon. When they're young, they live with a pride. Once they're able to hunt prey on their own, they're kicked out and have to make their own way. A hot-blooded Pokémon that is filled with curiosity. When it gets angry or starts fighting, its short mane gets hot.
"Rufflet, Peck at the Golett! Litleo, use Ember on the Ralts!" The two Pokemon followed their trainer's command. The Rufflet flew over and began to Peck at the Automaton Pokemon while the Litleo shot tiny fire balls at the Ralts.
Ordering King to keep its distance in the air and use Feather Dance was a very smart move on Tristan's part. The feathers shot down faster than the Riolu could react and stuck to it, decreasing its attack stat sharply since now parts of its body were now just soft pillows now. However, the little fighter was certainly not going to give up just because of that!
As Tristan must've noticed -and if he didn't then shame on him- that the park was filled with trees. The Riolu decided to use this to its advantage and used Quick Attack to climb up a nearby tree to get needed height and then propelled itself towards King at high speeds.
Kapoc just looked at the strange speaking girl, down to his coffee cup, and then back up at Steph as if she had Corphish crawling out of her ears. Never had he ever heard anything as scuffed as this in his life. She was from Galar, right? That sure as hell was not any Galarian accent, but something of an entirely different order.
Meanwhile Evelyn looked just as confused and stared at Adriane, who at a glance was just calmly smiling, but if one paid close attention they would see the corners of her mouth twitch ever so slightly.
Evelyn thought to herself, She is having way too much fun with this. This was on purpose.
It wasn't long until Steph left and there was a stiff silence for the longest time until The Champion finally broke and began laugh so hard she was hugging her stomach. "That girl is a riot! I can't understand a word she says, but she is a riot!"
Meanwhile, Kapoc did not share the sentiment. "What the f-!"
And we cut away to Stephanie who had stepped outside of the League Administration Building. Now it was a beautiful day, especially if you are a Pidove, who coincidentally was flying above her and also coincidentally left shall we say, a very distinguished...mark on certain spoiled boy. This specific Pidove was on a streak and kept landing every god damn hit on every poor person who was unfortunate enough to be under it at the time and this time was no different. It aligned itself perfectly over Steph and took a crap.
Well, Jason found a Golett and decided to fight this particular one. It used Astonish, but spamming Double Team essentially made it borderline impossible for the poor thing to hit the bloody Ralts. Overtime its HP was chipped away by the Ralts Disarming Voice until it was in catching range. Seeing his chance, Jason tossed a Pokeball at the Golett and it was absorbed in a stream of white, digital light!
It rolled once... it rolled twice...it rolled thrice!
Jason caught Golett!

New Pokémon caught! Jason earned 1000 P!
Would you like to give a nickname to Golett?
Now Jason waits around for nightfall. Since he is resting at the site, he gets a free heal for his team. Jason was probably sitting around a fire that he made, doing whatever he does. It was quiet, save for the occasional passing vehicle on the main road. The night was beautiful. One would have expected there to be large amount of light pollution due the close proximity of Grand Glory City and Route 4, but every star was out on a brilliant display.
Then silence was shattered by a sudden loud splash... and then another. If Jason was to follow the sound, he would obviously have found himself approaching the river. What he would see there would be the big jaw Pokemon splashing around in the water happily. It does not seem to have noticed you just yet.
Pokedex Entry #158-Totodile the Big Jaw Pokemon. Despite the smallness of its body, Totodile's jaws are very powerful. While the Pokémon may think it is just playfully nipping, its bite has enough power to cause serious injury.
However, you weren't alone.
"Get me a Totodile she says, it's so cute she says. God, does she think these things are easy to track down?" A man wearing an all-black suit, including a black balaclava obscuring his face. He was holding a cylindrical object.
"Toto?" It looked up at the man approaching, who was now aiming that object at it. The device shot out a net and caught the poor Totodile. It flailed and cried out desperately for not even its fangs seemed to be able to cut through.
What will Jason do? Will he rescue the Totodile or let it be poached?
The Riolu began to chat with the shiny Murkrow, very intrigued with its unique coloring compared to the other Murkrows that it had seen before.
Well, at least it looked like he finally calmed down.
"Yes, I did. This ability makes them quite valuable... and a target. They were almost extinct in the wild in the Evig region due to Cipher's excessive poaching, but thanks to the efforts of breeders, rangers, and scientists we are beginning to see a resurgence in their population." Tristan should have been aware of the devastation that this region had been through thanks to that evil team even if he was not from the region. Evig was on the verge of collapse and so many wild Pokemon were on the brink of extinction. It was a national disaster of unprecedented proportions. Even the city itself was a testament of the efforts of the inhabitants of the region to move forward and recover.
She smiled at the boy's awkward thankfulness. "If you wish to thank me, please call me Astrid. I am one of the teachers at this school." Was this him trying to be nice? They've only just met, and he was already telling her how to take care of her hair and what glasses to wear. Well, it was better to just silently take the advice and let the kid be on his way than let him get under her skin.
"Lou!" the Riolu called out to get Tristan's attention.
"Oh my, I think the Riolu wants to battle you."
"Lou!" It nodded in confirmation.
What will Tristan do?
@Sanguine Rose And the adventures of Faye and Sage have officially begun! They decided to start in Grand Glory City and take pictures of the landmarks around the city. The streets were bustling with people going on about their daily lives, the construction of buildings, and various stores and other businesses serving a wide cliental. Besides that, there were also wild Pokemon around the city.
There were two different kinds of bird Pokemon in competition for a sandwich that had fallen on the ground. It proved to be a tense stare down.
Pokedex Entry #016- Pidgey, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. They are docile Pokémon that avoid fighting, kicking up sand in an enemy’s face or using Whirlwind to avoid battles. They have sharp senses of direction, capable of finding their nest or destination from very large distances. They inhabit tall grass where they search and prey on small bugs.
Pokedex Entry #519-Pidove, the Tiny Pidgeon Pokemon. Where people go, these Pokémon follow. If you're scattering food for them, be careful— several hundred of them can gather at once. It's forgetful and not very bright, but many Trainers love it anyway for its friendliness and sincerity.
Besides the birds, there were also some felines just lazing about that took advantage of the food offerings that humans gave them and otherwise would just be looting.
Pokédex Entry #052 – Meowth, the Scratch Cat Pokémon. During the night Meowth are known to sneak around stealthily in search of prey and shiny objects which it adores with a passion. During the day, Meowth is known to laze around all day. In the dark, its eyes glow.
Then there were scurrying rat Pokemon that seemed to be the prey of the Meowth when they felt like hunting.
Pokédex Entry #019 – Rattata, the Mouse Pokémon. This Pokémon is common but hazardous. Its sharp incisors can easily cut right through hard wood. Its incisors grow continuously throughout its life. If its incisors get too long, this Pokémon becomes unable to eat, and it starves to death.
At some point, she found herself in the city square. Cafes, high-end restaurants, and various stores were all nestled around this space where a fountain was placed dead center. The fountain had statues of the Galarian Legendary Pokemon, Zacian and Zamazenta though because they are statues the Pokedex won't display an entry.
"Yip yip!"
Faye should have heard that behind her, down around her feet. When she looked down, she would see a very cute looking dog Pokemon hopping around her with its eyes very much glued on the camera. Electricity crackled around its feet every time it hopped around her feet.
Pokédex Entry #835 – Yamper, the Puppy Pokémon. This Pokémon is very popular as a herding dog in the Galar region. As it runs, it generates electricity from the base of its tail. It only assists people with their work because it wants treats. As it runs, it crackles with electricity.
It doesn't seem to belong to anyone.
What does Faye do?
Grand Glory City is located in the north-east of the Evig region and is the third largest city in all of the region with a quickly rising population. As well as being the largest, it is also one the newest as well and there almost always seems to be something new under construction though it is done so at swift rate due to the efforts of humans and Pokemon working together. The city, if the name did not give it away, represents the victory of the Evig over Cipher and the progress to move away from the dark past of the region as well as house many refuges whose homes were lost during the ordeal. It is the City of New Beginnings.
Despite being a newer city, there is much to offer. It has the first newly established Trainer's School in the region, and it has a small park where trainers can catch Pokemon. There were others before, but they were destroyed by Cipher. The Grand Glory Port has a marketplace with goods from all over the world and ferries. There are many stadiums where tournaments are held, but it is far too early for you guys. Of course, there is the League Administration's headquarters is located here and contains the lab of the young Pokemon Professor Kapoc.

He'll tell you to fuck off. 6.7. Grand Glory Harbor. It has a marketplace and ferries to places.
@samreaper People were not exactly oblivious to some teenager who was on the cusp of having a panic attack. Some were trying to get his attention and ask if he was okay, but the boy was so beside himself that he did not even notice them. So, they instead informed the most responsible person there -that being the teacher, Astrid, the brown-haired lady with glasses- that there was some poor kid having a freak out. Of course, she had another teacher cover for her a moment and rushed to Tristan.
"Hey kid, are you okay?" asked Astrid though she received no response. He seemed way too deep in whatever he was going through right now, so deep that he didn't notice a particular blue baby Pokemon huddled up next to him in an attempt to comfort the teen.
Pokedex Entry #447-Riolu the Emanation Pokemon. It's exceedingly energetic, with enough stamina to keep running all through the night. Taking it for walks can be a challenging experience. It can use waves called auras to gauge how others are feeling. These same waves can also tell this Pokémon about the state of the environment.
Astrid smiled at the baby Pokemon. "Be a good Riolu and keep him company for me. You too, Murkrow." She was also acknowledging that the poor bird was probably doing its best for its trainer.
She couldn't watch over him forever and eventually had to go back to supervising the kids though she made sure to keep herself just close enough to keep a visual on Tristan. Thankfully he was back to himself fifteen-minutes later and he was... not exactly the nicest kid she had the pleasure of ever having to meet.
Gaudy? She thought to herself.
"You mean that thing hugging your leg?" Astrid said, pointing down to the same Riolu that was cuddled up next to him. "Riolu are special little Pokemon; they can sense emotions through what we call aura. It probably sensed how distressed you were and came over to comfort you. Well, still trying to." She giggled. @Zarkun
Wait, this dude had a Ralts? Those things were part Fairy-Type, right? Well shit.
"Well it doesn't matter! As long it's frail we can win!" declared the cowboy... and the Ralts used Double Team and Growl. His Scraggy's attack dropped by one stage, and it wasn't long before Jason had ordered his Ralts to use Disarming Voice.
Now, Disarming Voice was a move that was impossible to avoid like Shock Wave and Arial Ace. No matter Connor could've done, there was no way of ordering Scraggy to avoid the sound waves. The poor thing cried out in pain as it was not only super-effective, but it was also quad-super-effective due to its typing.
"We only have one chance! Use Payback!" There it was! A powered-up Payback that would one shot the Ralts if it were to land. It rushed at one of the images of Ralts and with a glowing strike of its fist it... went through and the clone of Slayer vanished.
Scrag? It looked back at its trainer with an expression that said, 'Why have you forsaken me?'
Connor stood there with a blank expression on his face, knowing of what's to come. "I have made a terrible decision."
One more Disarming Voice later, Scraggy was knocked out and then returned to its Pokeball.
Ralts grew to level 6! Slayer learned Confusion
"Ah damn, I didn't expect to get thrashed like that. Looks like I gotta catch me some Pokemon to counter Fairies." He sighed, but then cracked a wide-smile. "Well congrats on winning Jason. Now I was gonna keep the info to myself, but I'm sure you can find some use for it. Now it's just a rumor, but apparently at night people are claiming to see some Pokemon with a big jaw swimming about in the rivers. People keep trying to catch it, but it's very illusive. Well, use that info however you like. I gotta head back to the city."
And just like that, Connor was off.
What will you do now?
Route 4
(It's actually a sunny day. Ignore the heavy mist and grey clouds.) Route 4 is a long, hilly, rocky, grassy area with numerous flowing rivers stemming from Lake Charity. It is not nearly as a well-traveled road like Route 1, but it is still a main road from Grand Glory City to Starbor Village. Due to the terrain, there are not many people who live on this route. Just a long route of rocks, hills, and rivers, but it does attract certain kinds of Pokemon. However, it is one of the many popular fishing spots found around Evig and it is filled with many fishermen looking for their next catch. There's even a shop that sells fishing rods and bait.
From here, one could see the towering mass of trees that make up Starbor Forest and the skyline of Grand Glory City. There is a road for vehicles to travel, but for on-foot travelers they would have to settle for a rocky dirt walkway. However, travelers who are going by foot are rewarded with being near some mysterious ruins; massive walls of stone carved with strange symbols. What do they say? Heck if anyone knows.
1. Find Pokémon. Can be specified what kind of Pokémon is being searched for, and how you search. 2. Train Pokémon. With this command, we can jump ahead in time and skip posting about grinding. 3. Seek trainers. There should be some trainers among those walking back and forth in the area or some fisherman wanting a brawl. 4. Talk. There’s plenty of travellers around. Maybe seek answers to any burning questions you have. 5. Move along. Move along normally, letting any events that may come happen naturally. 6. Hurry along. Intentionally avoid confrontations and try to get safely to the next destination. 7. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 8. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 9. Area Specific: Shop. Fishing Store, a place to get a fishing rod. Mysterious Ruins. Of unknown origin, ancient markings on them.
Well, he set up a campsite by the ancient ruins. Yup, that is what he did.
So, Jason decided to see if he could find any signs of rare Pokemon in the vicinity of the ruins. Well, there could be rare Pokemon or not. Who is there to say? The issue is that Jason has literally just arrived in this area and has little to no information on what to even look for so the chances of him finding anything rare are slim to none. Let's see how this goes.
While he did not find rare Pokemon, he found some Pokemon that would not be appropriately classified as 'common.'
Every now and again by the ruins, he would see strange, almost automaton beings just walking around aimlessly. Some of them though lining boulders up for some unknown reason. It would've been very easy to mistake them for not being Pokemon if it were not for the fact that the Pokedex did indeed have an entry for them.
Pokedex Entry #622-Golett, the Automaton Pokemon. They were sculpted from clay in ancient times. No one knows why, but some of them are driven to continually line up boulders.
If that was not odd enough, some of the bits of wall would pop off a wall to reveal that the piece was being held by a shadow-like being with purple eyes. They would look at Jason curiously, sometimes float around him before going off on their own business. While they were cute, one would have to wonder if it was safe for someone to camp in a place that was a hot spot for ghosts.
Pokedex Entry #562-Yamask, the Spirit Pokemon. A clay slab with cursed engravings took possession of a Yamask. The slab is said to be absorbing the Yamask's dark power. It's said that this Pokémon was formed when an ancient clay tablet was drawn to a vengeful spirit.
However great as these Pokemon are, these are not the rare Pokemon in the area. While it is possible that he's not wrong to think that there are cave systems in the ruins, he had yet to show any knowledge or ability to access them. Sometimes, rare Pokemon require some knowledge, intuition, or just plain old dumb luck. It seems like Jason was lacking in all three. Perhaps if he asked the locals or those passing through about the area then maybe he would have more to work with.
Well, while he didn't find any leads it seems like someone found something they thought it was interesting.
"Ho there! Hey stranger!" Someone called out our intrepid trainer from not the not so far distance. This figure approached him and revealed himself to be a young man around Jason's age, wearing a brown Stetson hat, matching brown boots, and rather worn-out, sun- bleached jeans, and an orange button up with the last button left open to show a white t-shirt. He was strikingly handsome, 1930s Hollywood handsome. The man could carve wood with his jawline.
"Sorry, I was explorin' the ruins and I couldn't help, but notice that you have one of them Pokedexes that grump Kapoc gave out." This young man reached for his belt and pulled out the exact some model Pokedex that James had just received except this one came in orange. "I guess we're rivals of sorts. The name is Connor, Connor Hagen." He held his hand out with a wide grin for a handshake and if he accepted, it was like being under a hydraulic press. His hand was rough and calloused, as if his palm was covered in a layer of it.
"How about we celebrate our meeting with a battle? After all, if trainers lock eyes with one another, then we must battle." Connor tossed out a Pokeball and what came out was a strange bipedal lizard with saggy yellow skin that acts like pants that it always has to hold up.
Pokedex Entry #559-Scraggy, the Shedding Pokemon. If it locks eyes with you, watch out! Nothing and no one is safe from the reckless headbutts of this troublesome Pokémon. It protects itself with its durable skin. It's thought that this Pokémon will evolve once its skin has completely stretched out.
Due to Tristan's inhumanly awful sense of direction, he found himself wandering around the sprawling metropolis. People and Pokemon were going about their business, buildings were being constructed among already towering scrapers, and every new business popping up under the sun. What was more impressive, depending on how one would look at it, Tristan kept turning around every corner just before he would find a Pokemart. Somehow, this man missed every Pokemart in the city due to his sheer lack of ability to read a map. Seriously, how in the fresh hell was this guy going to function when he leaves the city is completely beyond me.
Anyway! Besides the residents of the city, there were wild Pokemon as well! Well, a few of them. Everywhere Tristan went he would see little birds looking about, while common, could be great a start for any budding trainer. Well, maybe not in his case since his starter is a Flying-Type.
In this case, it seemed like there were two types of Flying-Types that were in competition to get the most food.
With that, Tristan and King, assuming he's still not in his Pokeball, made their way to the park. Well, really, they made it to the Trainer School where the park was attached to.
It’s a school. Kids around Grand Glory City flock here eventually to learn the basics of Pokémon battling, or there are trainers that come here only to attend the odd lesson before they embark on their big journey. There’s a patch of grass and trees on the side where wild Pokémon can be found, and every week, breeders and rangers are known to release a new species in the park to help introduce them into the ecosystem and give these kids a chance to gain experience against different kinds of Pokemon. And, of course, there’s plenty of Pokémon battling among the students as they do their best to learn. In fact…
To the right immediately after one enters the school, there’s a list of students in a ranking-list on a wall. A huge list of the 50 top students, ranked in Pokémon battling ability, and there’s a thing that anyone who visits can challenge the list to get onto it temporarily. Leaving for too long obviously means falling off the list, but those who rank high gain some benefits and bragging rights.
That aside, let's have a brief summary on what's happening here.
Kids are having random battles and besides kids, there are just residents of the city who are just enjoying the scenery, and some are even having picnics. There were groups of kids that seem to be hunting after random Pokemon and a few of them were gathered around a natural pond. Seems like Water-Type Pokemon were an option.
The wild Pokemon that you could tell are wild and catchable are as follows...
Pokédex Entry #403 – Shinx, the Flash Pokémon. When its muscles extend or contract, it generates electricity. When it senses danger, a Shinx will let the electricity run through it, causing it to glow. If threatened, it uses its muscles to flash a bright light to blind the predator while it flees.
Pokédex Entry #824 – Blipbug, the Larva Pokémon. A constant collector of information, this Pokémon is very smart. Very strong is what it isn't. Often found in gardens, this Pokémon has hairs on its body that it uses to assess its surroundings.
Pokédex Entry #054 – Psyduck, the Duck Pokémon. Psyduck is constantly beset by headaches. As Psyduck gets stressed out, its headache gets progressively worse. It uses intense psychic energy to overwhelm those around it.
Pokédex Entry #058 – Growlithe, the Puppy Pokémon. It has a brave and trustworthy nature. It fearlessly stands up to bigger and stronger foes. Extremely loyal, it will fearlessly bark at any opponent to protect its own Trainer from harm.
However, that might not be all.
"Come on! They said there was some kind of rare blue baby-Pokemon in here somewhere! We have to find it!" some tiny boy told his friends and they rushed into the park before anyone else could breathe. Besides that, there was a young adult woman with long, straight brown hair and round glasses that had soft blue eyes behind them. She was dressed in brown slacks, black dress shoes, and a powder blue button up shirt. Her arms crossed, keeping watch to make sure that no one is too rough with the new wild Pokemon. She was most likely the teacher from the school.
What will you do?
1. Trainer School Park. There’s a small park of grass in here. What kind of Pokémon might be in it? 2. Talk. Plenty of students and teachers. This is a wellspring of knowledge, someone must know something. 3. Challenge. Work your way up the leaderboard! Specify the level of opponent. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Study. You want to know something? Feel free to learn about it here! 6.1. Pokémon Habitats. Learn where you might find a specific kind of Pokémon! 6.2. Evig Geography. Learn more about the different places in Evig! 6.3. Names to Remember. Learn about Gym Leaders, Elite Four, or the like! 6.4. Local Legends. Learn about different tales from around Evig! 6.5. Pokémon Breeding. That’s also a subject. 6.6. Battling Basics. You likely know them already. 6.7. Specify. Tell what you want to learn and we’ll see if we have a course!
Connected areas: Grand Glory City. All around, of course.
@Zarkun Well with nothing stopping him, Jason went back wherever he was staying and obtained his camping and spelunking equipment.
You obtained Camping Kit!
You obtained Spelunking Equipment!
Eager to leave the city and go out into the wide-open world to explore the nearest woods, Jason would head south of the city. The further he went, the more he would notice that size of the buildings were less grand and sparce the greater the distance he walked. There was both a main road for vehicles to travel and a well-maintained dirt walkway for travelers making their way to the Starbor Woods and beyond if they were so inclined. You begin to hear the sound of running water.
Welcome to...
Route 4
(It's actually a sunny day. Ignore the heavy mist and grey clouds.) Route 4 is a long, hilly, rocky, grassy area with numerous flowing rivers stemming from Lake Charity. However, travelers who are going by foot are rewarded with being near some mysterious ruins; massive walls of stone carved with strange symbols. What do they say? Heck if anyone knows.
While walking, one should tread carefully not to step on the rocks because they may not even be rocks at all and are in fact Geodude. There was always some poor, tired traveler who accidentally stepped on one or even sat on them mistaking them for simply a boulder where they could rest their weary feet. Needless to say, the results are not pleasant.
Pokedex Entry #074-Geodude, the Rock Pokemon. Found in fields as well as mountains. They commonly rest, half-buried in the ground and indistinguishable from normal rocks. There are always way more Geodude around than a traveler will notice. Stepping on one by accident may trigger their rage.
Along the river, one can see a classic favorite among most people dude to their goofy, cute appearance are the Bidoof. These Pokemon can be seen building their nests along the water. Meanwhile, there were the heads of the most happy, armless Pokemon in the world, Wooper, poking out of the water.
Pokedex Entry #399-Bidoof, the Plump Mouse Pokemon. With nerves of steel, nothing can perturb it. It is more agile and active than it appears. It constantly gnaws on logs and rocks to whittle down its front teeth. It nests alongside water.
Pokedex Entry #194-Wooper, the Water Fish Pokemon. This Pokémon lives in cold water. It will leave the water to search for food when it gets cold outside. When walking on land, it covers its body with a poisonous film that keeps its skin from dehydrating.
Coasting along the surface of the rivers were Duckletts. Some were diving underwater in hunt of food though it seemed like in general they left everyone alone. Unless you had a bag filled with breadcrumbs. God help your soul.
Pokedex Entry #580-Ducklett, the Water Bird Pokemon. When attacked, it uses its feathers to splash water, escaping under cover of the spray. They are better at swimming than flying, and they happily eat their favorite food, peat moss, as they dive underwater.
What will you do?
@samreaper Was this kid fucking for real? Thought the three far more experienced trainers. Adriane was howling with laughter, Evelyn sighed in exasperation, and Kapoc? He looked like a vein was about to burst from his head as his teeth were grating hard enough to turn diamonds into dust. There was no amount of pay that made dealing with this acceptable on any level.
"Okay that's it." Kapoc snapped his fingers. Tristan would realize that there was a shadow looming behind him, in fact, he could feel the warm breath of something creep against his neck and a sense of menace from an apex predator. Turning around would reveal the culprit; a three headed vicious beast with red eyes was levitating in place, glaring daggers into the rich asshole.
Pokedex Entry #635-Hydreigon, the Brutal Pokemon. There are a slew of stories about villages that were destroyed by Hydreigon. It bites anything that moves. The three heads take turns sinking their teeth into the opponent. Their attacks won't slow until their target goes down.
Without warning, the dragon-type's head lunged down and bit down on the scruff of Tristan's shirt, lifting him in the air. It then would proceed to carry the brat out of the lab whether the victim liked it or not. When they crossed through the automatic glass doors, the Hydreigon tossed him onto his bum and considering Tristan is probably going to insult it, it hissed at him with all three heads and then went back in the lab
Meanwhile, Kapoc searched his drawer and pulled out a bag of Pokesnacks "Good boy." The professor said with a smirk. He pulled out three biscuit looking snack and tossed one for each head that snapped them up in just a second.
"... Is it really a good idea to let that roam around in here?" Evelyn said, a bead of sweat dripped down her head as she watched destruction given flesh wander around a lab with lab equipment worth more than your very soul.
Adrian chuckled. "Eh, it's fine. It's the most well behaved Hydreigon I've ever seen."
Well, Tristan was now in the hallway and definitely not welcomed back in the lab. What will he do now?
1. Find Pokémon. Can still search for Pokémon in towns and cities. 2. Talk. In cities, there are considerably more people one can talk to. Specify what kind you’re looking for. 3. Exit. Exit the town to any of the connected areas. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Buildings. Visit any of the facilities of the city! 6.1. Pokémon Center. Heal all your Pokémon. 6.2. PokéMart. Go to a store and buy things. 6.3. Gym. ??? 6.4. Grand Glory Arena A local venue for Pokemon battling tournaments for prizes. You are too weak to partake, but are allowed in as a spectator. 6.5. Trainer’s School. Where young trainers study to become better. Has a little park of wild Pokémon. 6.6. League Administrator Headquarters. You know you’re always welcome. Except in Kapoc's lab. He'll tell you to fuck off. 6.7. Grand Glory Harbor. It has a marketplace and ferries to places.

It's a wonderful early spring morning; the sun was shining, the plants are beginning to wake up from their long winter sleep, and the chill in the air gave way to a wave of warmth throughout the region. The streets are bustling with the early morning traffic of those trying to get to work and people walking with their Pokemon to wherever it was that they are going. You, the carefully selected group of new trainers, were told to meet at the League Administration Headquarters, which was located somewhere outside of the downtown area. Once there, you all would find a massive white building with the League symbol made out of stain glass installed above the door. Once you go in, you are all waiting in a lobby with nothing happening, so you're stuck with each other. Hell really is other people.
Thankfully, you are all soon greeted by the sight of a woman in her mid-twenties with fair skin, long, orange hair and dark green eyes. She was wearing a pantsuit with the jacket portion open to reveal a white button up shirt. "Oh, you must be the new trainers. I'm Evelyn, the Head Administrator of the League and I'm here to make sure you don't get lost. Originally, the champion was supposed to meet us here, but she's running...late. The look when she said the champion was late reeked of exasperation as this was definitely not the first time she has done something like this, but life goes on. "Anyway! You all must be excited to get your starters. I'll show you were Kapoc's lab is." She led the group up an escalator and down hallway out of the lobby. There were many people passing by, people who obviously looked like they worked there. These were the people that made the League somewhat manageable.
Not too long, they arrived at an automatic sliding glass door and walked into what definitely look like a lab with equipment that should not be touched by anyone who does not know what they are doing. The entire place had an almost overpowering scent of coffee being roasted. In this room was a man with long, messing black hair that was loosely tied into a ponytail, but still had bangs long enough to cover one of his crimson eyes. He wore a dark grey turtleneck underneath his lab coat with matching slacks and dress shoes. The scientist looked like sleep was a foreign concept to him; he had deep circles under his eyes and had scruffy facial hair that made him look way older than he actually was. He was sitting at a glass desk with a metal frame, bearing a bored expression, his head propped by his hand.
"So these are the brats that Adriane picked?" He glanced up and down while sipping his cup of coffee. "Not gonna lie, some of them look like they won't even last a week." He said, specifically staring at Tristan.
"Kapoc, would it kill you to be nice?"
"Would it kill you to let me finish my morning cup?" Kapoc said grumpily, taking a sip from a mug that should technically qualify as a bucket.
Evlyn just stared at him for a moment and then asked, "When was the last time you slept?"
"Tuesday."
"But it's Monday."
"Exactly." He said, followed by another sip of coffee.
Evelyn pinched the bridge of her nose, and her eyes were closed tightly. "For the love of... Are you at least going to explain what you research?"
"Ev, what I research is irrelevant to them, and I pray for it to stay that way," said Kapoc briskly. He stood up and walked to what looked like a safe and punched in a code on a keypad, unlocking the door. Inside, there was a suitcase that he removed and then placed on his desk. After flicking the locks open, he lifted the lid to reveal Pokeballs and Pokedexes, which were in various different colors and may or may not look like iPhones. "I hope you all understand the gravity of the opportunity given to you. You are some of the few new trainers that are allowed to take on the League. We allowed already established trainers to partake, but for new trainers, we had to heavily vet due to the challenge. You are not the only new trainers."
"Well, with that out of the way I believe it's time for an expla-"
Before he could even begin, he was rudely interrupted by someone who ran into the room. This person was a dark-skinned woman with sharp, gold eyes and gunmetal blue hair with a short cut that was buzzed on the sides. She wore a white tee with a black jacket over it and a muslin scarf wrapped around her neck and blue jeans with matching black boots.
"I'm here! Sorry I'm late! I-" She stopped mid-sentence at the sight of Evelyn and looked up and down at her. "Nice."
"Oh my god Adriane..." She buried her face in her palms to hide her blushing. Meanwhile, Kapoc just looked even more done with this than he was before.
"Could you save the flirting for when you two are back home? Some of us are actually working here." He said through his teeth. They seriously needed to give him a raise for dealing with this on a daily basis.
Adriane laughed in response. "Sorry, sorry I couldn't help myself." She said as she sauntered over to Kapoc and then turned over to look at the fresh picks. "It's great to finally to meet you all in person. Those over the phone interviews were all pretty impersonal, huh?" While they had no way of recognizing her appearance, unless they were native to Evig or followed the news in their respective regions, they had heard her voice before. This was the Champion and founder of the Evig League, Adriane Brand. She was considered to be one the strongest trainers in the world even by a Champion's standards.
"So what did I miss? I didn't miss them getting their starters, right?" She asked Kapoc, who was glaring daggers into her.
"I was about to explain how the Trainer ID and Pokedex functions."
"Ohhhhh gotcha. Do your thing." She said, finger gunning him.
Meanwhile, Kapoc was about to bust a blood vessel in his head, but he was pushing through. "These Pokedexes are provided in courtesy by Professor Sycamore. Here."
You received a Pokedex!
"First and foremost, your Trainer Card. It is your ID as a Pokémon Trainer, showing your name, index number as a Pokémon Trainer, a picture of you, the date you got your card, today, and it also shows how many badges you currently have. At the moment, that's zero. If you ever enter the Pokemon League or any other event, it will show your results there." He picked up a Pokedex and flipped it to show its back, which has a slot big enough for a card. "I took the liberty of inserting your new Trainer Card into your Pokédex, for the Pokédex won't function without it, but you can take it out when you need to show it or add a badge to it. It's in the back of the Pokédex."
Your Pokédex has multiple functions. The main function is to give you information on every Pokémon you encounter and register the Pokémon you have caught. Scan a Pokémon by simply holding the Pokédex towards the Pokémon in question and press the scan-button. You'll be told information about said Pokémon, and by capturing the Pokémon you can also see its expected sizes, what moves it knows, what level it is, what types it is, where it is expected to live, all sorts of stuff. Note, Pokéballs needs to be registered to a person in order for them to function, and the Pokédex does that for you when your Trainer's Card is inserted. It's already linked to the PC as well, so any Pokémon beyond the six you're already carrying will be transported to the PC, and you can retrieve them at any Pokémon Center PC."
"If you check the Pokédex, you can play the cries of a specific Pokémon you've previously caught. Use that as you wish. You can also use the Pokédex to find out where you might be able to find a specific Pokémon that you've scanned and want to catch... Or, well, you would be able to do that, but due to the change of Pokemon populations due to Cipher years ago, existing data is no longer as accurate. You will have to record the data yourselves, but once you do it the information is shared among you automatically, including where you found the Pokemon."
"In addition, you are helping record the recovering Pokemon population so you will be compensated financially with each catch. For each Pokémon you catch, the data of where the Pokémon was encountered and such will be recorded, and a number of Pokédollars will be transferred to your accounts. Also, assuming you register a Pokémon trainer battle, you automatically get the winnings transferred to you should you win the battle."
"It's also a phone and I took the liberty to put all contact information of the other Pokedexs that have been handed out, including mine if you have questions. Don't."
He looked pretty tired from that long explanation. "Now just take your Pokemon."
Murkrow, the Darkness Pokémon. They awaken at dusk and take wing in the twilight, leading to the expression, “Get home before the Murkrow fly.” Seen as a symbol of bad luck, it's generally disliked. Yet it gives presents—objects that sparkle or shine—to Trainers it's close to.
Eevee, the Evolution Pokémon. It is a rare Pokémon that adapts to harsh environments by changing its appearance and capabilities when it evolves. This is due to its unstable genetic makeup that has stumped scientists.
Ralts, the Feeling Pokemon. Ralts senses the emotions of people using the horns on its head. This Pokémon rarely appears before people. But when it does, it draws closer if it senses that the person has a positive disposition.
Litwick, the Candle Pokemon. The flame on its head keeps its body slightly warm. This Pokémon takes lost children by the hand to guide them to the spirit world. The younger the life this Pokémon absorbs, the brighter and eerier the flame on its head burns.
Tyrunt, the Royal Heir Pokemon. This is an ancient Pokémon, revived in modern times. It has a violent disposition, and it'll tear apart anything it gets between its hefty jaws. This Pokémon is selfish and likes to be pampered. It can also inflict grievous wounds on its Trainer just by playing around.
"Huh, some of you guys got shinies. Rare, but it doesn't change a Pokemon's performance in battle." Kapoc stated. "Oh, and you'll need these Pokeballs."
5x Pokeballs Obtained!
"Well, that's it then. Do what you want. Just leave me alone."
What will you all do now?

This is a closed rp that I am running with friends and use the gameplay that Platinumskink uses for his rp, Pokemon: Start, with his permission. I have no interest in adding new players at the moment
Your journey will begin in the bustling Grand Glory City, where Professor Kapoc and recruiter and Champion Adriane, will provide you with your Pokemon and Pokedexes. Whatever happens after that is up to you.
Ten years ago, the Evig Region was on the verge of complete domination by a villainous team known as Cipher, who were well known for their hold on the Orre Region before that branch was eventually defeated. They stole Pokemon from trainers, hunted rare Pokemon to near extinction in the wild, and had such a military grip that other regions could not interfere. Of course, what made them such a threat was their Shadow Pokemon, battling machines that made type-matchups irrelevant.
Of course, we all know the old song and dance by now. A lone prodigious teen led a rebellion to take them on ten years ago and forced them back into the hole they came from and the Pokemon populations returned to normal due to the actions of Pokemon enthusiasts. Of course, there was a sense of unease; the reason why Cipher was able to takeover so easily was a mixture of mediocre trainers and the general lack of unity between powerful trainers. The fear that Cipher could come back and bring havoc across the region again the prodigious teen hatched a plot, a plot that took ten-years to complete.
For the first five-years, she searched the globe for the strongest trainers possible and recruit them to her cause. For the rest of the ten-years, she worked to establish political and financial connections to establish the Evig Pokemon League. The purpose? To have a strong core of trainers to protect the region in case Cipher or another team wishes to rear their ugly head and then to have new trainers challenge the league to make them stronger for when the next threat arrives.
This is the first year of the league. Challengers from this Evig and the rest of the world had come to test themselves against what boasts to be the most powerful league, but you are special. You are new trainers who had been vetted and for some reason or another that bewilder Professor Kapoc have been selected by the champion herself from the literal thousands of different applicants. Your journey begins.
Use the Character Sheets below to make your character and first Pokémon. The first Pokémon will be given to you by Professor Kapoc. You start with a potion and 500 Pokédollars.
When it comes to making your background, feel free to read the general information and about the individual specific towns in the “Towns of Evig” hider. However, the information I am providing you is far from all information I have. If you have any questions which you want me to answer that you need to create your character in a certain specific way, feel free to ask. Interested in a particular location on the map and want to create a character somehow involved with said location? Want to be acquaintance of or related to a Gym Leader or someone else? Want to be somehow connected to Cipher? Anything like that? Feel free to just PM me, and we can sort any such details out.
Note, however. I am giving you the option of asking, and I will answer. But otherwise, I am intentionally leaving you all with relatively little knowledge. Because, when you start from the starter-town in any of the games, you do not know the locations yourself. If you want to stay true to that, you can just make yourself be from Grand Glory City or you can recently have moved here from some other region. Then, you won't really need to read the General Evig Information or the Towns of Evig folder at all. You can just let me tell you when you get there. Grand Glory City DOES have its own Gym, but I won't tell about it unless you ask, there, too.
Trainer Name
– Note, all NPCs only have first names. Because Pokémon Characters in the games generally only have one name. Except Steven Stone, for some reason.

Age: Remember, you're all to be kids. That's the point of Pokémon. Gender: Male or female. Personality: How the individual is as a person. Hometown: Town of origin. Feel free to ask for information to make your decision. Background: Remember, some way or another, you're among the few that Professor Kalmia is providing a Pokédex to. A reason for that would be nice. And, don't go exceedingly dark, alright? This is Pokémon. Haha. Kind of Pokémon you like: Because... why not! Quirks/Talents/Aspirations/Other: Secretly wants to be a []? Really good/Terrible at []? Has a phobia for []? Can't stop []-ing to save his or her own life? Will [] in response to []? Pokémon Name Appearance: Small picture is encouraged. Use words in this section to describe specific peculiarities, if any. Species: Have this only if it is different from Pokémon Name. Gender: ♂ or ♀. Skip this field if genderless. Feel free to just copy this symbol somewhere appropriate so we know, then this field can be cut. Type: The Pokémon's type. Primary first (left), secondary second (right). Personality: Nature/Mood if you feel like it, but that's not that important in this. Should likely be rather short for the Pokémon. Quirks/Talents/Aspirations/Other: Random oddities. For Pokémon, this field is completely optional. Level: Describes how powerful we should expect the Pokémon will be. Your starter will be at 5. Moves: All that the Pokémon learns naturally up until that level plus any special moves taught. Ability: Pokémon ability. Tell it's name and what it does. Held Item: All Pokémon can hold something for some effect. Yupp, all of them. Disregard logic when necessary.
You control one character and your Pokémon. I control the rest of the world. That means I control all NPCs, I control all Wild Pokémon and which ones appear, and I control all random factors that we should expect in a Pokémon World. Of course, I will take a mix of logic, Rule of Cool/Funny and random chance into account when I make these decisions, and may behind the scenes make use of dice to decide an outcome. However, you won't know if I reasoned my way to a solution by logic, rolled dice to decide an outcome or just went “wouldn't it be cool/funny if...”.
I make the decision of how well a strategy works. But if you're fighting a Pokémon of equal power, the superior strategy will definitely win in the end.
Official Pokémon stats will only be used as a reference. One Pokémon having higher attack-stat only means that, in general, that Pokémon is better at doing damage, but it is not determined by numbers. So by all means, go for the Pokémon you personally feel is the coolest of them all even if it has weaker stats, and we'll go from there and make it the best of its kind, capable of destroying the odds. If you can find one, that is.
Naturally, this means any Legendaries will be in a league of their own. Don't expect any normal Pokémon to be able to one-to-one a Legendary, regardless of typing or stats. And, for that matter, don't particularly expect to find Legendaries either. They're Legendary for a reason.
And yes. I will roll a die for every single Pokémon you all encounter, to see if it is a shiny. Don't get your hopes up, though. However, shiny Pokémon will naturally create a legend of their own if seen. It could be possible that rumours of a shiny Pokémon has been circulating around town, and if so, it could be possible for you to seek it out...
For a twist, you pick from six randomized Pokemon as your starter. One of them will always be a guaranteed shiny, but that too is randomized. If you do not like the options, you have a choice to reroll at the risk of not being able to pick from set before.
Almost everyone picks the same starters without fail so this spices things up.
You will be starting in Grand Glory City. From there, you may group up or split up in whatever order you desire. In every route, there's a total of six different actions that you can do.
1. Find Pokémon. Can be specified what kind of Pokémon is being searched for, and how you search. 2. Train Pokémon. With this command, we can jump ahead in time and skip posting about grinding. 3. Seek trainers. There should be some here and there. Note, some may challenge you instead. 4. Hurry along. Avoids further confrontations and try to get safely to the next destination. 5. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 6. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you.
The GM will then tell you the result of your actions, and roleplay as would logically follow.
Even if travelling in a group, each individual can do their own thing on each route. Just assume you regrouped later. Note that you CAN access these options anywhere, towns and caverns or anywhere, it's just optional.
Note that you CAN explore outside the mapped routes. Just don't expect to find too much unless you're following a lead. But do note, the locations on the map are just the locations known to the general public.
Some battles aren’t exactly integral to the plot. Hence, it makes sense that we can limit the amount of posts those takes us if we want to. It works as follows;
You announce that you want to Quick-Catch a Pokémon or Quick-Fight a trainer. In the case of a trainer, I will announce what Pokémon s/he has. Then, you say what strategies you will use in order to capture the Pokémon / defeat the trainer. I, as the GM, will then consider how effective these strategies will be and then write down a summary of the entire battle and its results, along with eventual damage your Pokémon might suffer from it.
It is important to note that the GM decide if you succeed or not, not you. But this is a speeding-up method to be used when it is unlikely the opposing Pokémon or minor trainer will stand a chance against you. Try quick-catching a Dragonite or quick-fighting an Elite Four and you will suffer. But, anyways, if something unexpected happens or it becomes clear your tactic will not work, I will end my post and give you the chance to change your tactics.
That’s the way of quick-catching/fighting.
The Pokemon available in this region are from gens 1-8 so for Pokemon. If a Pokemon appears in Sword and Shield, then we use that moveset. If a Pokemon appears in the gen 4 remakes, we use that moveset. If a Pokemon appears in neither of those games, then we just use the gen 7 moveset of that Pokemon.
Pokémon are assumed to know all the moves they'd naturally learn when they reach their level. TMs can be used to teach Pokémon moves they otherwise wouldn't know. TMs do not break. There are skilled Move Tutors that can also be used to teach Pokémon moves, for a price of their choice. When it comes to HM-moves, you don't need to actually know the move if your Pokémon can logically take you on a ride over water on its back. However, to actually know the combat-moves you will require the necessary special TMs.
If what a move does when transitioned into roleplaying format is debatable, we'll reason our way to a reasonable result.
As for Pokémon abilities, they will be taken into account as best a roleplay can allow. This might become a bit hard to interpret depending on the ability but ask the GM and you will be answered.
Evolving happens as it does in the games, with the exception of Pokémon that evolve via trading. If a Pokemon that uses a held item to evolve via trading will evolve just by using the item and there is an item called the Link Heart used to evolve Pokemon that could evolve via only trading without held items. There are some Pokemon that can evolve under certain circumstances without a Link Heart, but I'll leave that up to you to figure out.
The League consists of 18 gyms. Almost all of them can be challenged in any order as long a gym leader deems you worthy to accept your challenge. However, they have the right to refuse your challenge, but are required to give challengers the means to prove themselves though there are four Gym Leaders designated as final challenges due to them being unable to hold back.
Officially speaking, you must have at least three Pokemon to challenge a gym. However, there are exceptions depending on the battle format.
Gym Leaders have the right to choose the battle format that they prefer. This could mean single battles, double battles, 3v3 (select three Pokemon from your party to battle), 6x6 (your whole team), and so on.
Royal Family: Much like most royal families in the modern era, the Hardrada Family serves more as a cultural figure than a political one. Of course, their wealth surpasses almost every major company in the region and have their fingers in many different businesses as well. However, no matter how grand the position is they are no different from another trainer within eyes of the Pokemon League.
Ground Zero: It was once another city before Cipher unleased their first full on attack that left that entire vicinity of the region unable to support human life. The destruction was so devastating that nothing, but the strongest Pokemon seem to be able to survive this hellscape. It is forbidden to enter Ground Zero without written permission by a high government official. Aside from this, there is very little information that the public has access to.
Faefall Island: There is very little information about the island. As of now there is no possible way of actually getting there due to impossible by air or sea due to unrealistically strong storms and waves that would rip apart any ship or aircraft.
Cipher: The blight of Evig ten-years-ago. They are known for their indiscriminate violence against both humans and Pokemon as well as using Shadow Pokemon, which the process is so horrible that it mentally breaks the Pokemon and turns them into mindless killing machines. They do not show mercy towards those they deem their enemy, and some have shown willingness to destroy an entire island just to kill one person. While we have seen the leaders of the Orre branch, such as Evice, Nascour, and Greevil we still have yet to see the true head of Cipher.
Grand Glory City: One of the newest and largest cities to have been constructed post-Cipher with a steadily increasing population. It is the home base of the Pokemon League's administration and the lab of Professor Kapoc as well as a Trainer's School, so it is the perfect place to begin as a trainer.
Florasong Town: A town where music permeates the air as much as the flowers do. Florasong is a moderately sized, peaceful place where musicians perform on the streets with many having great hopes to attend its very exclusive music school and in performing in the town's world-renowned opera house. The town is also known for its beautiful park where wild Pokemon can be found among the flowers.
Starbor Village: A village where the treetops scrape the stars, or so they say. The residents of Starbor had made their homes within these towering trees and is actually a multi-story village constructed by wooden platforms. A village of perfect harmony in nature and technology, where they make use of various alternate power sources to bring electricity to residents.
Valstille City: A large, old city stationed on top of a hill. It resembles more of a fortress than an actual city due to the towering walls that encompass the border, and it is well known that the region's military is trained here. They are known for their strong sense of competition and hold Pokemon battling tournaments frequently to see who the best is.
Rheinvale Town: Located within a valley, Rheinvale was created during the Great Goldrush though it has long been since depleted of almost all of its gold. However, it is now home to jolly miners and researchers digging for fossils, relics, and other valuable items. All are welcome to dig for their own goods and perhaps you may be able to trade with a miner. Well, that and it has a new thriving food and art scene.
Frostford City: A frozen city filled with warm people. Located at the base of a mountain, it is the city of eternal frost where no matter the season, it will always snow. Naturally, this and the surrounding area of the city is the home of many ice-type Pokemon. It is well known for their ice-sculpting competitions and generally is filled with various artisans that are masters of their craft.
King's Cross City: The oldest surviving city within the region. It was once named after the reigning monarch of the region of centuries ago, but his name had been lost to time. One of the most famous landmarks is the colosseum where vicious events were held once, but now more humane competition and events are what is used for today. It is home to the oldest library within the region as well that is filled with scholars analyzing ancient texts. The city contains ruins of the first kingdom, studied extensively by archaeologists.
Neon Shore City: A beach city of neon lights that is extremely popular for spring-breakers, partiers, and vacation goers in general as well as the rich and famous. It is home to the Sable Casino and Nigh Club where people can win fabulous prizes in-exchange of coins they won through gambling. Aside from that, it is also known as a place with the most startups within the region. Just, uh, don't get on the wrong side of a certain group of people.
New Valhane City: The reconstructed city after its complete destruction due to Cipher. Long ago in ancient it was said that the residence of the original city practiced the art of magecraft. Whether or not it is true is entirely another story, but it is known to be a hotspot for psychic and fairy-type Pokemon. What could be the reason? Who's to say. Still, perhaps there is a grain of truth in these stories.
Evertide City: A coastal city filled with outgoing, trending people and artsy building ala Gaudi. Evertide is the entertainment city of Evig, teeming with TV stars, athletes, models, and so on. Heck, maybe you can make it big there too. It hosts a very famous surfing competition as well. However, there is a strange tower out in the middle of the sea that is known simply as the Ocean Monument. It is a strange black, spiraling tower that reaches impossible depths for any living being to construct it and no one has been able to figure out how to open it as even dynamite could not even leave a scratch on it.
Nixmire City: If one were to brave the Twisted Woods or the marshlands, they would encounter a city built upon what was once wetlands. Canals line the streets, and it is very common for people to use gondolas or water-type Pokemon to get around. It's a city that has one foot in its historical heritage, but one in its future as well. It also has not only the best restaurant in the region, but one of the best in the world.
Fenris City: Located in the mountains, it is filled with older veteran trainers who are aching for a battle. However, they are also known for their hot springs and their mountain views from their many hiking trails. They are a simple folk in terms of living a calm, peaceful life though they are also known for their battle dome as well though recently it had gotten stale due to the lack of fresh faces.
Ashborn City: A city at the base of a volcano. It is well known for its many temples that are inhabited by monks. By all rights the volcano should have erupted by now, but for reasons that stump scientists it hasn't.
Nexus City: The largest city in Evig and the capital. Nexus is the most technologically advanced of the cities and is responsible for about 70% of the technology produced in the region. It is bustling, melting pot of cultures from not just around the region, but from around the world as it is producing an incredible amount of job opportunities. The Evig Pokemon League's conference is to be held here and it is also the homebase of the Elite 4 and its champion.
Night Cavern City: An unusual city that is located deep in a cavern where the only natural light source comes from crystals that emit light. Originally, this city was created by criminals to hide from the law, but it was repurposed as an actual city once the criminals that inhabited it were all arrested. Night Cavern is considered to be a rival city with Florasong in terms of the growing music scene and the arts scene in general.
Lacritasia City: The floating city within Evig. The city was built upon strange crystalline bubbles that seem to ignore all weight placed upon them, a strange natural occurrence within the region that defies any explanation scientists have offered though the most widely accepted answer is that, like the stones of Unova's Chargestone Cave, they have a special magnetic field that seems to keep them afloat. Like Starbor, Lacritasia is a multi-level city, but on a far grander scale. It is actually the second largest city within the region.
Edda City: The city of academia. Most of the best universities in the region are located in Edda City. The architecture resembles brownstone Neo-Greco. Edda boasts many beautiful parks and many avenues of entertainment for the residents of the city, but none more beloved than its amphitheater where world class actors and playwrights from all over the globe dream to perform on.
Rubycrest Town: The wild west set to the hue of ruby red sand. It is home to the roughest people within the region and located in one of the most inhospitable parts of the region. There are only two ways to get to this town; riding a Pokemon that can survive the miles on miles of scorching desert sun or a day long trip on the train. For those that are brave enough to not travel by train, they may find great rewards.
When posting, please have a hider detailing your current things and current Pokémon. Also, start out with a name, so that we know what character's post it is. We're stupid, and might need reminders, after all. Having your speech in a different color (that is still bright and readable) also helps. There's a mini-sheet for your Pokémon to have in posts right below this paragraph. Also, feel free to also include current inventory, a link to character sheet, etc. Other than that, write as much in your post as you feel like.

Glory yawned at the sight of the Slackoth, but shook his head to jostle his brain awake. Close one!
Basil looked down at the Pokedex and read the entries for the Pokemon he found. Perhaps this was something to keep in mind for later, but they were not the goal today. It doesn't look like they were very close to finding a Pinsir though Anise brought up an interesting point that he didn't think about. "Actually, I think you're right. It's Headbutt, right? I think someone on my team knows that." He pulled up his Pokedex and pulled up a file of his current team composition and sure enough, someone on his team did know Headbutt. "Alright then. Hey Glory, you can come down now."
"Haw!" The Hawlucha glided his way down to Basil and struck a pose when he landed because that's what these Luchador birds seem to do.
"Thanks for trying." Basik returned Glory into his Pokeball and grabbed a different one from his belt and tossed up in the air and out came the little red thing that was his starter, Cecil. "Hey Cecil, we're trying to knock some Pokemon out of the tree. Can you use Headbutt on that tree over there?" He asked, pointing to the one he was facing.
"Dar!" The Darumaka said in confirmation and began to headbutt the tree as many times as it would take to knock a Pinsir out.

"Oh, yeah...right." It was an odd thing to only just realize that he had been selected over god knows how many hopeful applicants for some reason that he could not understand.
Anyway, it was Pinsir hunting time...! And that meant rain time as well. Basil walked through the woods with his umbrella taking the pitter patter of the rain in his place. At least the lights were more of a pleasant welcome.
Now that they were deep in the wood so it was time to begin. "Glory, come out." He tossed the Pokeball and the Hawlucha appeared from the flash of light. His next order would to have Hawlucha fly up high into the trees since the maniac told him they could be found high up in the trees or in the ground, but considering he he didn't have a Pokemon that could use Dig, this was his best bet. That was assuming that Glory could actually fly high enough.
