Early Afternoon

Bloody hell, why did things have to go down while he had his hands full?! The dwarf was one second away from throwing the cast iron pot at Akigatsu's head though before he could, Myrr stepped past Brom. "Hey what're you-?" The botanist stepped between the blacksmith and the source of his ire. He watched as others gathered around the commotion and were quick to rightly admonish Akigatsu for quickly leaning towards violence and incivility. Brom furrowed his brow mainly in disappointment. Of course, the Mackinnon child was not blameless though very little ever warranted drawing a weapon on an unarmed civilian.

He watched as Akigatsu rushed off to where his supposed shop would be located. Well, that has certainly cast a pall in the air, thought Brom. However, his attention fell upon the dwarf woman that he met earlier that day. She was holding a couple of rabbits, freshly killed ones at that. There's an idea. Well, there was only one thing that he could do to help lift everyone's spirits.

With a deep breath, he clapped his hands loudly together and brightly said with a wide grin, "Well I think it's time that I start making preparations for our dinner! If anyone has any ingredients to contribute, please do so." The dwarf chef smiled assuredly. It was a big ask them to trust him, he knew that, but really it was the only thing he could do. He wasn't a carpenter, a blacksmith, a herbalist, or even a farmer. He was a chef and if there were hungry bellies then he would do the one thing that he did best.

Brom turned to the brave herbalist and gave her a gentle smile. "Myrr, if you could, could you gather those dandelion greens from just outside of the village, ones without any flowering buds. A lot of them if you can." He then said to the crowd, "If someone could accompany her, that would be of great help." It was always better to travel at the very least in pairs. They had no idea who or what their neighbors were so another pair of eyes keeping an eye out would've put him at ease. However, dinner was no good with just greens, they needed protein.

His attention focused on the rabbits in the grasp of his fellow dwarf. "Now, I understand if you don't wish to share, but I can assure you that I can make it or whatever you bring in taste much better. I will also be using ingredients from my own stock as well, so don't feel like I am asking something for nothing." He could only hope that the other dwarf could be swayed by the temptation of better tasting food because there were quite a few

There was however the question of what he was going to do with the little fella sitting in his pot. It took time to prep the slime and frankly speaking, he needed the pot to cook everyone's dinner. Well, he'd figure it out.
I will try to get something up tonight if I can.
I arrived in Australia. Have some wifi bs to sort out, hopefully by tomorrow, but if not I can try to finish my post with my phone later.
Working on a post. Just have a lot happening right now.
Well, Myrr has saved Akigatsu from getting brained by a thrown cast iron pot.

Edit: I'm cool with it. Can't expect people to wait for me when I'm still recovering lol.
Trying too. Pain meds and just pain in general make it a bit harder.
Working on something.
@Zeroth

Brom: May I offer you a slime in these trying times?
@Xaltwind

I know where you are coming from but from my perspective this is just not the right call to make. I’m not here to argue but sometimes you have to give people the benefit of the doubt rather than assume that people got sick of the game or are lazy. Communication can be improved on our part this is true but this is also a game where people are posting more consistently than others. Not perfectly on schedule but more consistent and that’s a lot more than I can say about a lot of games here on this site. Issuing warnings when people have mostly been consistent but now are waiting for others so they can contribute to the game does not contribute to a positive, creative environment. It alienates those who are trying to catch up and punishes those who have been giving them a chance to. Like when we got a Myrr post I was away from my home for hours and got home late after driving two hours through a blizzard. I didn’t even know there was a post until the next day when I was going to post and you posted your warning.

I would understand the warning if we haven’t been posting for a real long while but lulls happen even in the busiest of games. There are better ways to prod people to post, like letting them know you’re gonna move to the next scene and give us last calls to post because we certainly will post then, addressing an individual privately if they’ve really fallen behind, or just ride the lull out and have faith that your players are going to post and have a little bit leniency that they may not tell you everything all the time because they’re also human and make mistakes.

I can say for myself that I am enjoying the game a lot and hope it goes on. I’m not saying this to criticize or to be rude but to at least offer my thoughts on the matter because I don’t particularly see a problem that can’t be solved gently.
