He felt the pull first. It was a sticky tug of the shadows, a twisting smoke around his small form. Zyghin, the melanoid dragon, slowly lowered his wings around himself then waited several pulsating seconds. When the fourth thrum of his heart slammed in his ears, he felt compelled to finally slide his eyes open.
For a moment he saw only lines of darkness, followed by spirited lines of lightening, shimmering ice, or convoluted flames. He took a step, hearing his talons click against the earth. A cavern. was his first thought. Then an image of a large maw opening in the earth flashed.
Yes, this is a cavern. He waddled forwards to investigate even more, disregarding the other dragons around him. He could smell something, a mingling of disgust and interest. Zyghin started forwards then pulled back, there was a peculiar scent mixed in as well. Danger, came the unbidden word.
He glanced over his scaled hide and saw, beneath an amber tint, the other dragons. Tools. They'll help me get free.
Three flaps of his wings had raised him six feet off the ground. "We should leave. Not... Yes, it is not safe here." The sound of his voice, as sharp as his talons but dusky with mystery was pleasing to him.
Meruem rested his head against the hard material of U.A. High's roof. It was typical, almost habitually so, for him to go skyward for him to think. The ability to contemplate his connection with his Quirk was easier when staring at the sky. Laid back with his leg folded over the other, he watched the clouds drift without a solid thought occupying his mind. Mostly, he wondered what Mr. Walker thought of him. Did he have what it took to be The Symbol of Peace? disregarding the fact that it was the first day of school. Surely first impressions were all a Pro like Mr. Walker needed.
He sat up. "Maybe I need to do more." His lips puffed out to the left. "Or... maybe I've done enough. There's a such thing as overdoing it too. I don't think I'll apologize after all. What I did was in the hopes that my chances of becoming the Symbol of Peace would be realized. I can't rightfully say sorry for that. I won't."
He sighed loudly, knowing that the outcome of his decision could be wrong.
@The One lol okay. But what if Zyghin attacks Starfire (if she's accepted)? Its bound to happen the moment they cross paths - might make it lock eyes. I don't want it to be so violent so early on if possible.
@The One Yea I seen her; Starfire. I can't really see there interactions going any further than eternal oppositions. Due to his connection to the Darkness before All he can only hate her guts. At the least barely tolerating her, at the most, wanting to pin her to ground and declare his supremacy. I kinda feel like it might divide the core group of dragons. Or have all them hate him for something he can't really control. Though, he'd try lol.
Your Royal Dragon might be nice. Skyro, I think his/her name was. Sounds like it's unpredictable and I love unpredictable. Do you know how he'd view Zyghin already?
"It was just a storm they said, a grand roll of thunder breaking the silence! Well... they're dead now. Guess they hadn't known who owned these lands." - A future tale by a drunken sailor.
"I almost killed Zyghin myself... It was years ago, I had run into a dragonling as dark as darkness itself. I was ready, I was gonna' gut him... B-But then he looked at me. And, believe it or not, even as a hatchling, he had the power to make my heart shrivel. Zyghin was and still is a monster. Keep your head down and pray he doesn't destroy your town." - Thomas Lynchheart, Dragon Hunter.
Name: Zyghin the Heartless. Gender: Male Species: Dragon Age: Hatchling
Personality: As of now, Zyghin knows little of morality. The rights and wrongs of the world is meaningless to him. He is little more than a primordial manifestation of instincts and a slate for which a persona can be crafted onto. As a hatchling he has a dislike for authority, is somewhat dominating, and can be extremely volatile. He is destined for a tyrannical path.
Bio: Zyghin became aware of himself earlier than most. He awoke in a cramp, black shell and he despised the initial fear and angst that gripped him. Uncontrollably, the shell burst away from him, sizzling and shattering against the cave walls. As he stumbled to his talons, his feathered, gooey wings, stretching upwards, he realized he wasn't alone. Other dragons were around him, deep in color, both rigid and formless in shape and size. He looked upon them with indifference but stared toward the opening of the cave with great interest.
Power 1: Deconstruction. The ability to break down soulless beings at the molecular level. IE, inanimate objects, the undead. (Hard to control) Type of Dragon: Prime Darkness - Zyghin can tap into the Darkness that came before all. Due to its primordial nature, it goes beyond the forces of good and evil. He can create constructs out of seemingly nothing, reanimate the dead, inspire true fear in the weak hearted, and has the potential to control a force that acts very much in the same manner as psychic manipulation. In the presence of Prime Light, he feels unadulterated aggression.
Family: None Friends: None Sentimental Attachment: None Other: Zyghin has an extraordinary hard time feeling affection.
@The One Its a given with his Deconstruction powers. Even the Darkness before All has an order that must be followed. As for his personality, I've given him mostly a blank slate. We've just been born so I don't see how he could have one. I plan on allowing his interactions with the others, the hunt, and his connection with the Darkness shape him. If that's okay.
