Medaria was having a really fun day today! First there was fighting, then scary demon, then explosions, sparkles, unnatural warp based abilities, chaos spawns, people dying, conspiracy and so much more! She also go to play with grenades sho she was grinning like a madwoman underneath her breather device. She eyed the newcomer with a happy glint in her eyes, wanting to be friends and then followed the rest of the team into the dublicated governor office. She was extremely giddy at the look of it and right away started poking at the wiring indeed to confirm if the electrical instalations and other network cabling were in the same configuration, for the glory of the Omnisiah or it was just a cleverly ellaborate ruse!" You know, they could use this place to issue planetwide announcements if they just have somebody masquarade as teh governor and nobody will be the wiser for it~ Or this is to be used as emergency bunker later in case of an invasion from our side and the cultist control the planet." Medaira chirpped, fiddling iwth a wall panel and the wiring behind it. She was now checking if the room's air conditioning was the same as the real office, if it was she was also going to mess with it because why the Emperor not?

"Hmmmm~?" She made a questioning sound when she was called by Adrianne." Yes, Psyker-friend?" She asked, innocently, holding what appeared to be a metal panel in one hand, a bunch of wires in the other and her mechadendrites were doing something to the system in teh meantime. Medaira tilted her head, hearing the question and eyed the book. She eyed the book like a predator, pondering the ammount of pranks she could use it for, then tilting her head in the other direction, weighting the pros and cons of such actions until she decided that it was probably better left contained for the time being no matter what.

"YES~!" She replied happily, tossing a look at the Armsman." Not far off the standard containment protocols, Prank Victim Friend 2! Make a metal box, slaps holy seals on it, put book into holy sealed box, then put another holy warded box on top of the first one, then use remote means of carrying the thing to minimalize warp and chaotic influences. Maybe even fill the box with blessed prometium just in case a quick burnout is needed." She stated happily as her mechadendrites dropped whatever htey were doing and one of htem turned out to have a welding torch in it." I will have the box made faster than you could recite the Imperium safety manual for boarding a ship! We can use braided cabling ropes to pull the box from afar too or I can use my mechadendrites to carry it 5 feet in front of or behind me..." She stated and started using bits of metal and wires into what sane people would call abstract art.

"We need purity seals! And wards... Maybe we can bless the box itself too!" She was chattering as she worked, creating a box just enough for the book of those dimensions fit in. Once inside, it wasn't oging to ahve enough space to even lightly open it. it was going to stay as sealed as it could be, not to mention she was going to be welding the metal box shut just in case.
"No worries, no rush." Cat replied calmly, giving the man a studying look for a moment." Cabling is one of those things that people don't ask for until they need it or it's delivered to them. Places usually have a stock salvaged from all around, but always buy more. The more technological the settlement, the more their need for cables and even less advanced ones use them since as long as they can provide energy, network of lamps is a great thing to have, good for defense also. Heck, we were required to know how to set up a lightpost when we were going through training." She mused as they started moving again, she didn't bring up the topic of teaming up again. It was something she casually mentioned to him cause it would likely coem into play sooner or later. Maybe he'd be able to settle down and never venture out again or maybe not, but they did survive now some hours or so of chaos and they worked off each other well enough.

The location marked with a pentagon turned out to be an improvised home or shelter. She put her new tool to good use, forcing the frozen door open through it's locked state and they entered, looking around through the light of the torch. She metaphorically froze at the sight an sighed, studyign the two tiny bodies and then looked at the pictures on the wall. It told a grim and morbid story."I suppose I was off with my original estimation for his death... the frost, lack of humidity and bugs must have mummified him... If that picture of a bat is anything to go by... that was likely these two's father. The mother either didn't manage to survive till this place or she tried going in search for her husband and never made it back." She said and gave the two small bodies a polite bow and salute. They must have died out here alone, huddling for warmth when their parents never returned. They ran out of food eventually and then passed away in their sleep. Her eyes lingered on the picture of a sun now. She walked off to it, touching it with the tip of her fingers, like it would fracture and vanish of she pushed harder. She had never seen the sun, by the time she waqs born the cataclysm had struck and the skies were blocked off in perpetual clouds and storms. She had heard rumors that at very rare cases you could see the blue skies before you die. Wondered how much that was true, but she found herself fascinated with the drawing of a sun for a good while longer.

"Alright, Donny, we've got two choices, we try to push through and go even further on, or we can camp here for the night. This break room is secure enough once we close the door, that even a Brute Crab wouldn't be able to breakt through it in one go." She told him, looking around for possible things to use as fuel for a campfire. There were the wooden tables that would burn rather nicely. Sadly in this kind of world, the bodies of the dead didn't matter. Still out of politeness, she used one of the jackets to cover the heads and upper torsos. A final late gesture of kindness to allow them to rest in piece.
Ahh understandable. Rona's been a downright pain in the ass for a long while now.
@Lucius CypherHeya how have you been?

The following questioning to Hunter was for the lack of better terms enlightening. Well sort of, in a really weird way. He was messed up, then again all of them were messed up, some more so than others and some just knew how to hide it better. On that topic Amelia supposed she was hypocrite as it had taken her a lot of effort and self convincing to actually sign up for help with her issues. Hell, she still knew she was jumping at shadows and having admitted that she needed the help earlier so she could sign up at least allowed her to admit it ever more readily. So yeah, Hunter was messed up just like most of em.

Dog guy was asked if he had a death wish at the end of it all as a reason for his actions. He denied and she supposed it was obvious, but she wasn’t an expert on psychology. She just did math. In any case, Amelia was curious about how he worded his reply. The sentence about how the camp held all the cards was repeating in her head, she had thought about it as well during their early days in quarantine. Now out of the confines of quarantine, they still held some restrictions, which was normal for it the situation, but she knew it could be a whole lot worse than this. This was actually rather a haven in comparison to some of the possible alternatives and at least they didn’t outright get walkers at every corner as the world outside the walls could be seen. Out there was never safe, at least behind walls it was safer.

In the end between his answers and her own thinking, Amelia reached a conclusion. She wasn’t quite in his bad state because she had Riley. If she hadn’t had Riley and the others from Newnan, she would likely have been in about as bad mental condition as him if she was even still alive that is. Surviving so far wasn’t easy even with the group together. Without them it would have been even more of a nightmare and without Riley she might have bitten a bullet long ago.

If there was one distinct clue that Lisa was dreaming, that would be when she wakes up back in her old little room at her previous workplace back before the zombie apocalypse. She often dreamed of different things as many people did and more often than not never really remembered what the dreams were about, the only exception usually was whenever she for some reason dreamed of the better times.

Maybe it was the close meeting with death of somebody she cared about, a child of all things that triggered her maternal instincts, but this time the dream was slightly different. In it’s usual dreamlike way time passed, she was up, cleaned up, dressed and back to her duties where she was now teaching an apprentice. An adorable little girl in similar attire like herself. It was Lucy alright, dream clue number two, finally dream clue number three would be the fact that there weren’t any modern appliances or anything. For all intensive purposes, Lisa was dreaming of a rather Victorian era setup, going through lifestyle very similar to her previous one and with somebody she missed already.

Yeah it was a weird dream alright, but she didn’t mind it. She enjoyed it, even if she even in the dream understood that something was off. Call it a hunch, gut feeling or just subconsciousness, but even with her mind clouded by the haziness that dreams brought, she knew something was off, yet still allowed it to take her deeper in. Eventually the dream turned into some weird pseudo fairy tale where they were the maids in a mansion that had some Victorian Era like adaptation of Cinderella happening with them being the observers and doing their jobs while secretly helping the main protagonist. It was a nice dream and she completely allowed herself to be immersed in it.
was initially planning on tossing in a thing happening but that pentagon mark now has me too curious to mess with anything until I find out what that is xD.
"Ahhh THAT place." Cat made a grunting sound when she heard where Donny was from. She grumbled some impossible to understand sounds and hisses, rolling her eyes." Had more than a few run ins with the folk from your former home then while still a soldier. Fierce fighters that lot, in the end they died just the same anyways. Hope you never lost any friends while fighting 'the settlement', because I refuse to call it by the name they gave it, but they knew what they were getting into when raiding." She added, throwing him a look. It was obvious that she had killed before, she was a soldier in a post apocalyptic world, she had killed mutant creatures, crazed mutated humans who in some cases barely resembled humans anymore and had killed her fair share of humans too. Hell her first kill was just a year into training. They made them all kill somebnody.

Then they found something rather grimm, if it wasn't for the fact they lived in a hellhole of a world and everything was grimm. There was a rather old body half burried under rubble with a lot of goodies. She let Donny be the one to loot the thing, since she was keepign guard, ready to shoot anything that shows up. Sure enough what they got was rather good." MREs? Pre-cata MREs?!" She asked in disbelieve, seeing the food. She has had normal food only a few times in her life and MREs were about as normal food as you can get in this world. Sure you could be on occasion eating proper meat or veggies if a settlemetn produced those, but those were rare and in general it was just nutrient blocks for all the 'lesser people'. What's more there was also spare underwear, not for women, but clean sets of underwear and socks in the wild were hard to find." We can probably fix that flashlight into proper workign order if we are lucky." She mused and looked at the illuminated map.

"The fool seems to have been here for a good while, the chill in the air would have slowed down decay and it's not really touched by bugs since there aren't any... Must have been here for months, if not longer. Hmm, probably a scavenger, given we are at the edge of the known territories with only the Underhaven nearby, probably from there, hoping to score some good haul to trade." Cat mused, studying the map.

"... What's with the pentagon?" She asked, tossing a look at him, now she was curious." I now want to know, afterwards we can probably hit some of the others at a later date if anything, it would be a good thing to have places to loot after we reach the Underhaven. We will need to establish ourselves there and for that we will need things to trade, that is if you want to team up even after we arrive of course." She told him and decided to head off to very carefully check out the marked area of the maintenance hall. SHe also looked at the walls and narrowed her eyes." We should strip some of hte cabling for those dead lights that line the walls." She pointed out to him.
aaaand now I post after a bit of a delay, sorry about that. Friday was kinda a pain and tired and most of today was spend doing RL stuff.
Here's a D&D prop underconstruction to hopefully calm the fury xD

*tired bump*
Well since the failed rescue is what you wanted to happen, You can get the reigns on it and I will give it some of my own ideas as we go along if I feel I can contribute decently to it. Then I've got an idea for later afterwards, I did mention a cold wave with a reason after all xD
