Valeria is a curious girl by nature who enjoys learning all sorts of different and strange things. She is always asking questions and trying to find new things to learn or study. Sometimes it seems that her thirst for any king of knowdledge is never quite quenched. Valeria's curious nature drives her to be a bit too impulsive, letting herself act before thinking. She doesn't mind getting in trouble one bit. Her way of doing things might be deemed strange by others, then again, Valeria doesn't really care about that. She embraces who she is and the way she does things. Valeria always seems to have a smile on her face. Always. She doesn't take herself too seriously or any of the camp activities. She tends to fool around during training a little too much and doesn't seem to read the room all too well. People have to be direct to her, or else she'll just continue what she is doing. Despite her airhead attitude sometimes, Valeria shouldn't be underestimated during battle. She likes to use people's opinions of her against them. Or just messing with people. She's know to pull pranks on other campers, especially those in Cabin Five, Ten, and Eight. Oh, how she loves seeing those Ares kids rummaging all around because they can't find their favorite mug. Valeria could be a pretty sneaky and cunning person when she wants to be, often exchanging potions for favors. ____________________________________________________________________________ B I O G R A P H Y Who would have thought that a month long fling would have resulted in the greatest gift the Gods could have given him? Antonio Morales welcomed his daughter with open arms. An architect and local hechicero of their town in Oaxaca, Antonio was known to be a wise and gentle man. When news that he had a daughter broke the town was all talk. Valeria grew up surrounded by his father's beliefs of Gods and Goddesses. He would always emphasize their cultural Gods and always encouraged her to learn about Greek Gods. Being a curious girl, Valeria always stayed with her father when he performed traditional rituals. She always loved watching magic and healing ceremonies he would perform. Valeria had always looked up to her father. She learned everything from him. He taught her how to prepare rituals, cleanse, talk to the Gods, and hunt. Hunting was a special thing the both of them did. Valeria had always had good aim with a rifle, but the first time she used a bow, it was like a calling to her. During her Quinceñera, her father gifted her a beautiful handmade bow and quiver. Family, friends, and practically the whole town had been invited. The entire celebration had been a fantastic experience. Towards the end of it, Valeria and her father went out by the balcony that overlooked the town. There, he gifted her a necklace that looked like a circular maze with a six-pointed shape in the middle. Later on, she would find out that it was one of Hecate's symbols. The very next day, Antonio explained to Valeria who her mother was or what she was. He didn't tell her that the Goddess of Magic was her mother straight away. He didn't want to freak out the poor girl. Valeria trusted her father, so when he said she would have to travel up to the United States, she didn't complain. In fact, she was curious as to why. She wanted to know everything about her mother, who she was, and why she had never met her. Valeria was claimed the first day during her stay in Camp-Halfblood. Questions, her mind was filled with them. Since then, she has been mostly a full-time camper with only winters off to spend time with her father. A B I L I T I E S Mystiokinesis : The ability to cast and manipulate magic. Valeria is skilled in Illusionary and Healing magic in specific. She uses magic to create illusions, be it small or big. The bigger the illusion is, the more energy she uses. She's enjoys causing all sorts of confusion and chaos with her illusions. She also uses her magic to help pther heal. Her Legacy of Apollo also strengths her ability to heal. Mist Manipulation : The ability to control and manipulate the Mist. Valeria can only use the Mist to affect what mortals see. Her Mist Controll has been improving little by little. Once she managed to use it and make an Ares kid think he didn't have his sword in it's sheath. It was pretty funny. Umbrakinesis: The ability to mentally generate and manipulate darkness. Valeria could travel through the shadows unseen. Although she can only travel short distances, she uses this ability all the time during battle- making her unpredictable. And to mess with people, especially her siblings and Ares kids. Alchemy : Valeria has spent a great deal of time learning all she can about alchemy. She mainly uses her potions for healing and distraction potions. Like minor explotions and smoke screens. Superhuman Abilites : Like all demigods, Kyrin posses superhuman streangth, agility, durability, and reflexes. She's especially skilled with the bow and arrow, or anything that involves long range. She primarly uses her daggers as throwing knives. Having to navigate through her college years was not easy for her, especially in her STEM program. Being one out of the other thirteen women to be in her STEM program, she had to put with enough bullshit to last her a lifetime. And as a last big middle finger to the rest of her male classmates, she graduated with honors alongside five of her other female classmates. A proud and accomplished woman, Maria got a job as a professor and as a Robotics Engineer for one of the top tech companies in England. During one of her conferences in London, she met a man named Matthew Woods. Both adults hit it off instantly and kept in contact even after both of them parted ways. They would meet up every now and then for drinks and dinner. After almost half a year of courting, Maria was pregnant with Beau, and the father disappeared. Maria decided to raise Beau in London for the better part of his early childhood. She loved her jobs too much to leave them, so Beau was raised by nannies. Strict nannies would slap his hands if he touched something he wasn't supposed to or slap him if he said something inappropriate. Then, just around the corner of his fifth birthday, Maria got married to a man named John Wilson. Not even a year later, they were welcoming their first child together. Beau was forgotten and left to the many nannies and tutors at home. It didn't last long. Maria decided that one kid was enough, and he was sent to Mexico to live with his grandparents for a while in Polanco. His grandparents were wealthy landowners, they owned land all around the country, and even then, they had their own little mechanic shop in the heart of the city. Beau grew to love the shop and his grandmother's gift to fix about anything that came in the shop. He was a natural learner, always excited to watch her work. Growing up around machines was like a dream for Beau. It felt natural to work with his hands, get them dirty with oil and see what you had been working with to finally come alive after hours or days. His grandfather taught him about woodwork, too, showed him that building wasn't just about technology or mechanics. It would also be a form of art, something that Beau could use to relax. His first work of art fell apart within the first hour of completion, but this only motivated the boy to work harder. Mexico felt like home. A home that didn't last long. His mother and her new family moved to the United States just two years later and wanted Beau to move in with them. He didn't want to at first. He loved his grandparents and their workshop, but they convinced him to try it for a year. One year and if he didn't like it he was allowed to come back. While Carlos may seem like some adrenaline junkie, he could be a pretty chill guy. He loves talking to other campers and sharing his luck with his friends. He enjoys playing card games with his fellow campers, even though he'll know he'll win. Carlos has a habit of flirting with pretty much everyone around the camp. He has caused trouble in the past between someone from cabins ten and eleven. Luckily, the situation died down before anyone threw a punch, but ever since he's been known as a playboy. ____________________________________________________________________________ B I O G R A P H Y Las Vegas, home to gambling, shopping, fine dining, entertainment, and nightlife. Home to a second-generation Chilean woman named Maria de la Cruz. Maria was a professinal poker player. She was visiting Las Vegas for a month-long tournament. It was there where she met a woman that completetly threw off the once champion off her high horse. Teresa, that's what the woman called herself. Mai was completly swept off her feet as she saw Teresa win first place and continued to do so after the tournament. Both women continued to see each other after the tournament. Casual meet-ups turned to dates, and soon after, both women lived together for a short time. Teresa came clean to Maria of who she was one movie night. While Lost played in the background, Teresa explained that she was actually the Goddess Tyche and was pregnant with a child. Maria took the news surprisingly well- or maybe it was the three beers. Nine months later, Carlos was born to Maria and Tyche. Both women agreed not to keep secrets from the boy. Carlos grew up with both of his mothers around. While Maria was the primary person who took care of him, Tyche would always visit and stay as long as she could. It was clear that both women continued to love each other and had no plans of ever stopping. His household was a happy little family. Growing up, Carlos didn't have any issues with bullies of any kind. He would always try out to sports and would only get in no matter how bad he was at it. Things came easily to Carlos. He enjoyed it, enjoyed the blessing from his mother. Unfortunately, his luck didn't to his mother, Maria. He was 12 when they were heading back home after Mai picked him up from soccer practice. The sun was setting over the horizon as Friday came to an end. It all happened so fast. One second, Carlos was singing and laughing along with his mother, then the next, the car was upside down. He could still hear the music and sirens behind his closed eyes. His mother didn't make it. Carlos, on the other hand, has survived. The nurses called it a miracle that the metal pole that killed his mother missed his head by just a few centimeters. Carlos was sent to Camp-Halfblood three months later. Tyche stayed with him, they helped each other to heal. Strangers are drawn to him because of his looks, but they quickly find out his gentle features do not extend to his personality. Kyrin is easy to speak his mind without a care in the world. He's aware that his words may not be the kindest, but it's easier to say what he means than sugar coat things. He was raised on harsh, demeaning words masked as honesty and sincerity. Because of that, he has trouble telling the difference. Even then, Kyrin isn't one to strike a conversation with people as he tends to keep to himself most of the time. Despite that, Kyrin is always quick with a sarcastic retort or witty one-liner. He's easily spooked and flinches when people get too close. It's easy to see how guarded and closed off Kyrin is from the world. His trust is hard to come by, and getting him to open is next to impossible. It comes as no surprise that Kyrin isn't one to participate in group activities as he dreads working with people. While his expression might betray his actions, he does try his best to do his best when it comes to group activities—determination to better himself and changed people's perceived notion of him. Recently, Kyrin has become reckless during training sessions or camp activities that result in him getting hurt. On top of that, he has started to pick fights, using his ability to persuade as a means for him to get his ass kicked. ____________________________________________________________________________ B I O G R A P H Y Mortals are unexpected and love is blind. Kyrin learned that the same time he learned who his mother was. No one really knows where Kyrin is from. His accent is Irish, but the slang and phrases he uses are from Los Angeles. When people ask him, Kyrin usually deflects the question or makes up something completly bizzare. Once he said he was abducted from his home in Korea and taken to Russia, where he was taught English by an Irish woman so he could be a spy. Of course, no one takes his stories seriously. There have been so many alternative stories with so many details that no one really knows if they have been told the real one or not. Cabin Ten knows well enough not to probe him with endless questions unless they are willing to take a punch to the face. Kyrin doesn't talk about his father either. He has spent the last five years in Camp-Halfblood without leaving that others have begun to believe that Kyrin doesn't have any other family. In truth, his father abandoned him when he was still a baby in an orphanage in Cork. He spent most of his childhood there until he was old enough to enter the foster care system, where he hopped from home to home. Every home worse than the last. He had to endure years of neglect and abuse. All of that forced him to mature faster than others and create defensive walls around himself. It wasn't until he was 13 years old that his mother finally claimed him during a heated argument. Things were going south fast with his foster father that Kyrin yelled he wished that the man would just drop dead. That was the first time he used charm speak. The first time he saw a man almost stab himself in the eye. The first time he saw his mother. Since then, he has always wondered how the Goddess of Love could have fallen for a man so cowardly and pathetic that he abandoned his kid in a broken system. He blames his mother, too, more than his faceless father, for being so blind. She knows this, as Kyrin expressed his opinions the first few minutes after meeting her. Antonio Morales welcomed his daughter with open arms. An architect and local hechicero of their town in Oaxaca, Antonio was known to be a wise and gentle man. When news that he had a daughter broke the town was all talk. Valeria grew up surrounded by his father's beliefs of Gods and Goddesses. He would always emphasize their cultural Gods and always encouraged her to learn about Greek Gods. Being a curious girl, Valeria always stayed with her father when he performed traditional rituals. She always loved watching magic and healing ceremonies he would perform. Valeria had always looked up to her father. She learned everything from him. He taught her how to prepare rituals, cleanse, talk to the Gods, and hunt. Hunting was a special thing the both of them did. Valeria had always had good aim with a rifle, but the first time she used a bow, it was like a calling to her. During her Quinceñera, her father gifted her a beautiful handmade bow and quiver. Family, friends, and practically the whole town had been invited. The entire celebration had been a fantastic experience. Towards the end of it, Valeria and her father went out by the balcony that overlooked the town. There, he gifted her a necklace that looked like a circular maze with a six-pointed shape in the middle. Later on, she would find out that it was one of Hecate's symbols. The very next day, Antonio explained to Valeria who her mother was or what she was. He didn't tell her that the Goddess of Magic was her mother straight away. He didn't want to freak out the poor girl. Valeria trusted her father, so when he said she would have to travel up to the United States, she didn't complain. In fact, she was curious as to why. She wanted to know everything about her mother, who she was, and why she had never met her. Valeria was claimed the first day during her stay in Camp-Halfblood. Questions, her mind was filled with them. Since then, she has been mostly a full-time camper with only winters off to spend time with her father. It's easy to see how guarded and closed off Kyrin is from the world. His trust is hard to come by, and getting him to open is next to impossible. It comes as no surprise that Kyrin isn't one to participate in group activities as he dreads working with people. While his expression might betray his actions, he does try his best to do his best when it comes to group activities—determination to better himself and changed people's perceived notion of him. Recently, Kyrin has become reckless during training sessions or camp activities that result in him getting hurt. On top of that, he has started to pick fights, using his ability to persuade as a means for him to get his ass kicked. ____________________________________________________________________________ B I O G R A P H Y Mortals are unexpected and love is blind. Kyrin learned that the same time he learned who his mother was. No one really knows where Kyrin is from. His accent is Irish, but the slang and phrases he uses are from Los Angeles. When people ask him, Kyrin usually deflects the question or makes up something completly bizzare. Once he said he was abducted from his home in Korea and taken to Russia, where he was taught English by an Irish woman so he could be a spy. Of course, no one takes his stories seriously. There have been so many alternative stories with so many details that no one really knows if they have been told the real one or not. Cabin Ten knows well enough not to probe him with endless questions unless they are willing to take a punch to the face. Kyrin doesn't talk about his father either. He has spent the last five years in Camp-Halfblood without leaving that others have begun to believe that Kyrin doesn't have any other family. In truth, his father abandoned him when he was still a baby in an orphanage in Cork. He spent most of his childhood there until he was old enough to enter the foster care system, where he hopped from home to home. Every home worse than the last. He had to endure years of neglect and abuse. All of that forced him to mature faster than others and create defensive walls around himself. It wasn't until he was 13 years old that his mother finally claimed him during a heated argument. Things were going south fast with his foster father that Kyrin yelled he wished that the man would just drop dead. That was the first time he used charm speak. The first time he saw a man almost stab himself in the eye. The first time he saw his mother. Since then, he has always wondered how the Goddess of Love could have fallen for a man so cowardly and pathetic that he abandoned his kid in a broken system. He blames his mother, too, more than his faceless father, for being so blind. She knows this, as Kyrin expressed his opinions the first few minutes after meeting her.
