I suppose I'll start with the basics. I'm a female, age 22, married, mother, from and currently living in the US.

Started rping about 8 years ago but haven't been doing much writing in the past 3 years.

Ridiculously unpredictable schedule, nonexistent motivation, professional procrastinator, tired mom.

Richard gave a quick nod then turned to the panicked crowd. "Alright, only way to get out of this is stay calm and follow our direction. Head out the back, make your way over to the culverts." He ordered, his words stern and commanding. He cursed himself for not having been more prepared for this. But how could he have been? It was supposed to be a relaxing weekend away. This area isn't even one prone to attacks, he had no way of knowing. Yet He still blamed himself for not being as prepared as possible. Feeling shaking hands grasp his arm he turned to see a middle aged woman. "There are safe houses among the mountains." She told him simply before following the others.

The sound of machine guns and bombs riddled the once peaceful place. As Rin and Tess, along with random civilians, made their way around to the back exit a blast caused the hallway ahead of them to collapse. "Shit." Rin growled. Several people had been caught by the rubble, and she wanted so badly to try and help them, but she knew that if she did they would all die. And dying isn't an option [yet *evil gm laughter*]. "Alright, let's head for the front." She said changing her direction. The sounds of the machine guns were beginning to fade, that meant any time now ground troops would be pouring through the streets.
As Marcus pulled him up Richard realized what was happening. Images of his days spent fighting in ground troops flashed before him. His heart began to rush, yet a calmness fell over him. Sticking close to Marcus and trying not to get caught in the mass panic was his main priority at the moment. "out the back and past the dumpsters there's a culvert." he told him. His thoughts went to the girls, he knew they could likely take care of themselves though.

Pulling her side arm out of the bag she loaded around in the chamber then swung the backpack over her shoulder. "Let's go." she said rushing out the door with Tess. The sounds of panicked screams could be heard all around, no one seemed to knowewhat they were doing, so the two trained soldiers (Rin and Tess) stood out. Rin hated that she wasn't with Marcus. The one time they're apart the shit hits the fan. But she had to focus. Get out of the building, out of the city, find the others along the way.
Leaning against the table with arms crossed Richard sighed. "I'm just drained from yesterday and all that shit." he mumbled. Rubbing the back of his head he glanced up at Marcus. "So what's your problem?"

Walking across the room Rin stood near the window with Tess. "Well I'm here for you anytime." she said then glanced out the window. The ships fastly approaching caught her attention and she stepped closer. The flying patern wasn't a friendly one and the ships didn't look like any that would be seen in the area. Then it kicked on her. "Shit." Rin growled then dashed across the room and reached into her bag. "We need to find the others now." she barked, her tone and posture changing drastically.
The previous day had dragged on for Richard. The constant awkwardness between him and Tess had been frustrating to say the least. After a nights rest though he felt better about the situation. At least that, hopefully, they could move on. Dragging himself out of his room he headed down for breakfast. Seeing Marcus he sat down. "you look like shit." he remarked.

Standing in front the mirror Rin quickly drug a brush through her hair. "No problem, anything for a friend. Though don't think you'll ever hear the end of it from Marcus." she said then pushed the door open. "feeling better?" she asked.
Alright, so let's jump right into this! This honestly wasn't part of my original plan. But the rp definitely needed some life and excitement so I came up with the side quest if you will. I know it isn't the best and is probably poorly planned and written so I'd really appreciate everyone's cooperation. There are plot holes and obvious twists, just because you see them doesn't mean you have to pick at them and tear this apart. I understand if you want to have your character express some concern or doubts, but please, not everyone jump on this as having their character be extremely against this or seeing right through it. I guess what I'm asking is that you just play along. Thanks!

The last few days had been mostly uneventful, which was perfectly fine by me. The less problems I had to deal with the better. It seemed the crew had been getting acquainted and might actually be learning how to work together, at least I hope.

Immediately after departing from the space station I met with Brine, my second in command, to review the members of our team for a second time. A majority of our time was spent discussing what should be done with Sergeant Eric Fenris. In our first meeting Brine had strongly suggested we leave him on the space station pending court-martial. However, after an abundance of apologies, ass kissing, and swearing to do better I decided to let him stay. It wasn't an easy choice. At the second meeting Brine expressed his concern and held by his stand that we should have left Eric, however, he respected my decision. We came to the conclusion that regardless of how he seemed to improve a full report of his dishonorable actions would still be made. Depending on how he continued to conduct himself we might demote him to Petty Officer.

We didn't have any major concerns with the rest of the team, other than how such a vastly different set of people would work together. However, Brine brought up his concern and confusion over the most recent addition to our team, Marcus. My encounter with Marcus, much less my decision to let him come along, were far from planned but I had formulated a cover story with him. "He's an old friend of sorts. A person I can trust so I asked him to tag along. He isn't exactly the type the RAS would clear for a mission like this though. He served some years ago but dropped out and became a mercenary. His presents on this mission is obviously off the books. And I expect it to stay that way. I also expect everyone in the team to honor the rank of Lieutenant I assigned him." I explained to him.

It wasn't just Brine or the team that was worried, and somewhat suspicious, of Marcus. I had my doubts and concerns as well. Honestly I probably worried more about him than anyone else, after all I'm the only one who actually knows him. Or rather, I did know him. It's evident neither of us are the people we use to be.

We had also got in contact with the spy and confirmed details such as the exact meeting location. It looked like things were finally starting to fall into place. It's a satisfying feeling.

In the middle of lunch Azureal called me with some urgent news. Wasting no time I made my way to the bridge. I hadn't expected good news but what she told me wasn't what I was expecting either. It was a distress signal from a civilian transport ship who was moving refugees across the boarder. Azureal confirmed their transponder code was authentic. However, we couldn't get a clear radar read on the ship because it was right in the middle of an asteroid field. It made me uneasy, but I couldn't just ignore it. I ordered Chris to alter course then I went back to lunch with the others.

When I walk in I scan the room to be sure everyone is still present. I clear my throat then speak up. "Alright, slight change of plans." Once everyone got quiet and seemed to be paying attention I continued. "We picked up a distress signal from a civilian transport ship near by that is transporting refugees across the boarder. I can't ignore a call for help like this and we have a little extra time so we've redirected our course to them. The ship is in the midst of an asteroid field though, so radar is practically useless. I'm not fond of going in blind but we can't pass by without at least trying to help." I explain. I shift my stance and take a breath.

@Remipa Awesome Thank you! You seem like one of those people I always look for when starting an rp. Moderately patient, enthusiastic, and loyal to the rp. :)

And a good writer! xD
*refuses to give up* I've got stuff I have planned, I swear. It's just that life and lack of inspiration keep screwing me over. ;-;
That moment when you see this topic and realize you haven't eaten today. >.>
