I have a possible idea on how Neko and Kash might meet. See, Kash is also a thief, as it says in her bio. She steals from people who have money to spare, and returns all of it to the people of the Suicide Slum, the ghetto of Metropolis, a place that's been designated as permanently broken, without hope of repair. I was thinking that maybe Kash and Neko were going after the same stack of money. What do you think? We could have some sort of interesting conflict with there that, somehow (we'd have to figure out how) leads to some sort of friendship.

She doesn't hate humans and even enjoys the same things humans do and as long as she's approached without threats or made to feel trapped she gives into her curiosity and might be made a friend bit by bit. The money she steals and gives away isn't because she has a big heart but because she knows that appearing to be Robin Hood protects her in several ways if she sees association as mutual protection she could become a strong ally

She is very intelligent and a planner before an assault and hates going off the cuff and often retreats rather than fight even if she is perceptibly stronger. She uses camera to live stream her attacks on criminals knowing the police will label her as a law and order Vigilante and as long as no one dies lay off pursuing her as a criminal even though they hear she might be keeping some of the money she takes.

Kash as a Techno might be able to catch her setting up her Camera and testing the feeds

You can surprise her as long as she doesn't feel threatened and she will listen because the feline is curious

He is cleaning the knife he used to do the skinning of strips from her belly and buttocks treating it with what appears great reverence..he cut himself across his left thumb and he is angry with himself and tried to make sure to stop the bleeding but there. said Sydney pointing to a spot on the floor which still had dry blood on it.

He thinks he caught the blood before it fell to the cement but with so much of Mary’s blood already on the floor he missed it said the Goth girl as she finally stood from the Chair that Detective Sergeant Van had provided.

Outside the abandoned building he could hear his partner spitting now that he had emptied his stomach three hours into the Witness his Captain had set up with the odd girl who was the spookiest chick anyone had ever met. She had described into a recorder every cut, every word and action her rendition of Mary’s pleas for mercy and finally her own death with all the pain and volume she had managed as her killer did his grisly work. She had even somehow managed to sound like one of their prime suspects as she talked to Mary in a tone devoid of any human emotion which had chilled the senior detective in a way his 22 years on the force had never prepared him for.

Sydney did a little breathing exercise for a few second to anchor her senses in the here and now so she didn’t react to things from the past or miss things she should have seen in the present. It was a side effect of her power that happened when she was in Witness mode for more than 10 minutes.

That seemed to snap Van out of his waking nightmare and forced him to call back the CSI team and show them where he wanted them to take the sample which would of course help but all the observational evidence Sydney gave was insight invaluable into his suspect’s head and a wedge he could exploit to get a confession without having to reveal the unorthodox source.

After she bid the police farewell she went outside where her Red 280SL waited for her and climbed in and started the motor but didn’t put it into gear as she turned the car’s radio to a Spanish speaking station so it would engage her Omnilingualism and complete the clearing of the witness.

I figure the team or one of the heroes might find her and help her to the point where she doesn't feel like an abused animal who doesn't belong among people

Neko is what she calls herself and her human name is an alias and she only allegedly steals from criminals, I use the term Alleged because she is never caught with money by the police and has never been convicted

Hey, quick question: since Neko is committing all these heists and stuff, does she have a street name or something? What do people call her when they're referring to her heists?

I like him but haven't considered an outsider from a Trading partner city joining the Expedition. The reason for this is that Lasthope is a Democracy but to vote you must be a Citizen. This vote even includes Jain's position which in a 75% vote or more she can be removed and another commander elected, even turning the expedition around and heading home. This is done so that people don't feel as if they live in a Military Junta and they don't follow orders blindly.

It will need approval if he stands as he is or if his story is rewritten to draw him into Lasthope as either a Trooper or Scout.

Oh and his Bow could be replaced with a finely crafted Ash longbow or laminated recurve bow with precision sharpened broadheads and steamed shafts with goose feather fetching.

Feng will be reduced or executed then Last hope will have the Columbia River, we will take the Mist Fields and their natural gas resources, begin trading and explore the river; out at Cape Disappointment is a group of people that are Sailors and Fishermen lead by a fellow they call the Fox who once retrieved 3 of their fishermen that were caught by Feng from right under his nose.

Then there are the rumors of Salem having an enclave of survivors eking out a life and protecting their own

At the Council meetings, Portland is always discussed and Comber and the Elders All agree that we need to take it at least as a resource base it's just the cost in Troopers.

In the old world when a Fighter was lost in combat they were almost anonymous but in Lasthope's population a loss everyone feels. You may not have been close with him but you knew him, saw her at the dance, or loved their recipe for a dish, how they played the guitar and other things so we don't start wars lightly and Portland is an Urban environment which is the most deadly of combat zones.

That understood when Lasthope does war with the Pirates it will be hit and run, we will make working for Feng a fearful profession. We will free his slaves target his boats but never give him a standing battle and we will do it in the time of year when he will be the most restricted because he is unwilling to fight in the winter snows.

I am hoping we find trading sources on our trip as we learn to be a unit and flesh out our characters so that we can return just in time to join in the Capture of Portland.

We need to do it so that we can save critical Maritime resources which Feng and his people don't give a damn about and see if the Containers his people haven't managed to open contain any critical supplies or equipment.
