I have a character that has a heavy French/Cajun accent and that is how I had to do it. Research. Then again I'm one of those weird people that research a ton of stuff. In a prior conversation Shield mentioned that I was in another Marvel RP. I did so much research on that one I narrowed down where the incident in Avengers in NYC is at and how many blocks it covered; just to put my character's Apt and work out of the line of destruction but close enough to have an impact.@Almalthia

I am called by friends in the guild the demoness of details, I too love to research all the little things

When I was running a Magnetic type that wasn't interested in using her powers to fight but instead to lift payloads for space research I researched the average price and weight of those payloads so I could say how much money she was making while charging only 10% of the going rate. 

Then I researched the Van Allen Belts and other subjects on magnetism till my posts read like a science exercise

Physical Description: Api as his friends call him is short by the standards of his homeland but hard muscled from years of gymnastics training. Pleasant to look at he has an aquiline nose and eyes of dark green making them appear almost black from only 3 meters away. Gunnar’s hair is long and unruly but never touches his shoulders or sees a brush his mom complains. 

He always appears to be smiling or smirking as if he knows something funny that others have missed. No clothes horse his clothing chosen more for comfort than appearance and bearing scuffs, stains, and chalk dust from his constant working out; to see him dressed up is a rarity.

Personality:  Api is a good natured guy always ready to laugh and doesn’t mind if he’s the focus of the joke so long as he isn’t, or doesn’t feel bullied. 

Dedicated to the sport he loves he is always working out and will if allowed to will work himself to exhaustion. He has even begun to apply his power to performing even more outrageous maneuvers not so he can make other gymnasts look less by comparison but to entertain others and himself.  

The son of a member of the “Lögregla” (Police) Api is dedicated to doing what is right but not bound by the book. 

Always ready to lend a hand even with mundane tasks and rarely complains unless its about being hungry Api will work till the task is done.

Api will always seek the diplomatic way out before giving into anger or violence but once pushed to react physically he responds without hesitation but even then uses only as much force as necessary to solve the problem. 

Background:  Born in Borgarnes in a fishing town of a little over 2,000 to Grimur Runarsson and Krisjanna Jonsdottir Gunnar is an only child because his father a fisherman was lost at sea and his mother never remarried.

At an early age he was always a bit of a daredevil climbing things and hanging from the antenna masts of his uncle’s fishing boat when it was in port so his mother took him to the local gym to exercise his excess energy in a safe and controlled environment.

It was there at the gym he displayed a dexterity and coordination most children his age didn’t have and his instructor asked to place him in the gymnastics program which mom agreed to; he was only 6 years old.

Gunnar thrived under instruction at school and the gym usually at the top of his classes and the rising star of his gym but everyone noticed he’d seemed to not be growing as fast as the other students but other than that was healthy as a horse with a stamina to match.

The years passed with Gunnar becoming Api to his friends because even as he got older he loved climbing things and hanging in precarious places.

Recap of awakening:  His mutation first began showing though only as and unexplained weight gain that didn’t show externally; he weighed more than he appeared he should; that and the fact he could keep up with boys twice his size in weight training.

Then while cross country skiing with friends in the mountains he and they were hit by a small avalanche tumbled down the mountain leaving them all bruised and unhurt but one of his friends was in danger of falling off the side of a cliff that was 275 meters high. When he and the others tied themselves together he volunteered to be the one who went closest to the edge; an unsurprising move to his friends. 

All was going well for the boys and Api had even managed to get his friend tied to their chain and they were beginning to pull him up when another rumble from the mountain was all the warning they had as another avalanche swept those above him off the cliff as he tried to dig in and become their anchor. He watched helplessly as one after the other his friends tumbled past till he was the last on the ridge his feet planted as firmly as he could manage as he supported over 408 kilos. 

Desperately he held his post hearing his friends scream for him to no let go his body trembling with the stress he was under both mentally and physically. That’s when his power awoke and he began to pull frantically on the rope which he thought had gotten lighter because someone had fallen off.  One by one they began emerging over the cliff edge and joining him in his struggle till everyone was safe.

He was declared a local hero and how he managed to pull his friends to safety written off as one of those events that happen when a person’s loved ones are endangered and they are rescued by an adderlin rush of strength.

It stayed that way till Gunnar himself began noticing he was able to focus on the weights at the gym and lift in the extreme ranges till one day he just focused on the weight rack and lifted 1,500+ plus kilo including the rack off the floor with one hand.
