Current The Summer heat makes it difficult for me to think straight. Anyone I'm writing with should expect regular delays on my end until the temperature goes down.

Write your post by all means, but don't post it just yet.

@Birdboy
Would you mind making an IC post detailing what we discussed OOC?
Surprise surprise the rogue is good at dex saves

Indeed she is. As a result of that Nat 20, you won't be needing to make another save to avoid damage from standing near a burning wagon... Oh! That reminds me.

Important Note: If you end your turn on a square with fire in it, you'll need to make either a Dex save or a Con save to avoid taking 1d10 fire damage.
14

With a 14, Rala will be able to make out a large number of figures moving among the trees. The figures closer to the watchtower are armed with crossbows. Rala can't tell what the figures further back are wielding though.
Can I make a perception check to try to find who is attacking through the woods?

Of course.
... please tell me this is not the way you introduce Flicker's missing father xD

No no. Not here. Not yet.
Oh no...

I think I have an idea of what we're facing...

What do you reckon you're up against?
Brutrumukk

"Food's ready! Take it if you want it!" Brutrumukk called out before helping himself to his own portion. As he waited for the fried snake on his plate to cool, Brutrumukk turned to Sir Talavar and spoke. "You mentioned that the land itself punishes folks what break the rules 'ere, yeah?" The bugbear said. "What exactly does the land do when it punishes rule breakers?"
@Birdboy

Your turn.
As they ducked and weaved their way around the flaming crossbolts flying towards them, the flames that danced upon the bolts seemed familiar to Flicker, yet they could not understand why.

As Flicker reached Paxton, they would see that the highwayman was very badly burned, one of his legs was bent in a way that suggested it was broken, and the three crossbolts that had struck him in various places would make any sort of movement near impossible. Now that the crossbolts were stationary and not on fire, Flicker would also see that the bolts were strangely enough made out of stone rather than the usual wood and metal. "Tower... Is burning..." Paxton replied weakly once Flicker was done talking. "Going inside... Bad idea..."
I mean, yeah, but I'm not sure where else I can really move to????

Paxton is prone and Flicker has a running long jump of 12 feet. They could hop over the highwayman and hide behind the watchtower no trouble at all.
