Info: Born an orphan growing up in a momentary in the Far East, Yumi was never satisfied with the modest monk life. At a young age she was interested in wealth and power, learning quickly how a lack of either would harm her. She had to be quick and cunning and soon enough she was able to sweet talk, cheat, and steal enough money to start an honest business. But just because she was an honest murchany doesn’t mean she didn’t dabble in dirty deeds. Along with legal goods she smuggled contraband, captured and sold slaves, even robbed rival vessels as a privateer. She’s gathered a crew of likeminded women who can easily play the part of the demure maiden or a vicious assassin at the drop of a hat.
Still Yumi has only resorted to those shady practices when the coffers start running dry. She far prefers honest jobs which are less risky and still have considerable profit. But that doesn’t mean she’ll let an opportunity go to waste. Whether it’s a war or crisis, Yumi will be there to strike a deal.
Other: Yumi isn’t much of a fighter, though she can be tricky if cornered. She’s killed soldiers before and prefers to kill as a last resort. She’s no stranger to danger however and she’s quick in both body and mind. She’s also build a resistance against poisons and alcohol due to her rough upbringing and cutthroat competition. She’s got a good eye for items and people and knows what their weak and strong points are almost instinctively.
Yumi is the captain of a shipping vessel called The Silk Road. Fast enough to outrun most ships and tough enough to weather any storm, but in order to maximize performance, defense, and cargo space, it doesn’t have much in the ways of weapons. Crewed by tough women, some former pirates, while also staffed by other talented ladies. Yumi often has different crews for different task such as operating the ship, running caravans, or even providing services to armies.
