Eager to always help those he see's to be troubled, either with advice or helping with their problems. Doing so even when no one asks for it as he often gets too involved in their personal or private issues that annoys those he's helping or ends badly. Gerald is also very open and talkative, having no problem talking about issues that interest him or even of his past; when considering his past is traumatic and disturbing, though he treats it all like as nothing and especially his hooked right hand. History
What Brings You to Dunder Mifflin:
After finishing college, Gerald decided to put his home and the town with his harsh childhood all behind. Off to search for a purpose and to find a job to start a fresh new life; traveling from town to town before coming to castles, Pennsylvania and it was here that he came across a paper company that had recently started up and moreso, found they were looking for an accountant.
Deciding to go in to try for the job; where he met Aiden Ferguson; a man that seemed to give off an intense aura. He instantly came to respect the man and used the interview to show that he was dedicated and promised to be one of the best accountant this firm has.
Life Up To This Point: Minimal
Born in Branson, Missouri in an high income family; a father who was the ceo of big company. The Fischer family were well known and respected by the people of Branson as he was known to be a kind and generous man. Everyone assumed them to be a happy family that lived in luxury, but for Gerald that wasn't the case.
If only he had an easy, luxurious life; a concept that wasn't possible with a man that abused both his wife and son. They all saw his father to be this saint, but was secretly a sick and twisted person that tortured the two of them in the privacy of their house. For years they were forced to endure this or be kicked out with nothing or worse, which Gerald really never found out what that meant. Nor did he ever find out why his father did this to them...whether for the thrill of it? or simply cause he could? whatever the reason, it didn't matter and the only thing that helped get him through it all was his mother. She constantly told him that no matter how bad it got that it would all be ok for just being alive was worth it.
This went on for years for the two, until one day his father went too far, the day that it would all change for the better. An incident involving his father had cost him his arm, but it was what it took to end it all; not only revealing what kind of man he was, but all the embezzlement and illegal dealings secretly done that caused the company to bankruptcy.
At the age of 11, Gerald and his mother were free of the awful abuse done by fake saint, given enough money to last help them through the years and to help pay for his college. Just knowing that they had survived that abusive hardship and the realization that his mother's advice was right had given him a whole new outlook on life. Since then, he couldn't help but see the positive side in everything, though having to deal with only having one hand. This was especially hard to deal with for the trauma did have some effect on him that lead him to believe he still has the hands. Often dismissing others mentioning his hook hand as a playful joke or a tease, leaving others to think he was delusional.
With him only having one hand, his mother was worried that he would be defenseless and talked him into taking karate for year just so he could have some basic skills to defend himself. He never really liked fighting, but did it to make his mother happy and after taking karate for a year, went off to do his passion of math and numbers.
What helped him cope over the years were his novels and puzzles to help forget about his traumatic past. He even got into collecting stamps and figurines just cause he found it fun and it was also a way to make up for his missed childhood.
Going off to college where he mostly partook math classes and some computer learning. He always had some fascination with computers and how they worked, especially with how they handled and solved complicated and difficult math problems at such impossible speeds which boggled his mind.

⚜ Respects ~*~ ☯ Neutral ~*~ ☮ Friends ~*~ ♫ Best Friends ~*~ § Tense ~*~ ♥ Crush ~*~ ⚤ Significant Other ~*~ ☠ Enemies
⚜Aidan Ferguson⚜
"Looks like a mafia boss about to crack some heads"
Mostly professional and as a boss, he respects him the most but as a person he feels worried the man will spiral down a path of raged enduced loneliness till it eventually crushes him. Outside of work he has a bit more of a casual and friendly attitude towards Aidan and hopes to one day save him from his own anger. Perhaps seeing me help others and not him so often has made him somewhat jealous perhaps?
⚜Eduard Dautrive⚜
"A man with a tough outer exterior hiding an hugable bear beneath"
The foul language of his tends to be off-putting and hurts his ears, but sometimes necessary to keep the peace. Where most of the other works are wary or fear him, Gerald finds him to be a great mediator who's constantly on the ball; his stern and straight forward way prevents disputes and racial or sexual offense before they even occur. It wouldn't hurt if he could ease up on that foul mouth of his sometime.
☮Declan Farraday☮
"No one better to have a nice discussion or get into an fun debate. Not sure why they tend to end in him all frustrated most of the time."
Like most of the coworkers he is on friendly terms, often having small talks on breaks or around the office during them slow days. Out of anyone in the office, no one debates better than Declan when it comes to world issues or especially on any possible novels the two of them read. At times it seems Declan goes out of his way to try and start an argument as if trying to get him angry, its likely just his way of a playful joke. Its nice receiving those german compliments of his though...
☮Gwen Westbrook☮
"If she tells you her being sarcastic isn't sarcastic said in a sarcastic way..is she being sarcastic or serious? "
Too little known with her recently joining at the firm, but even as an intern, she's just as important as the fellow coworkers. Hoping to get on good friendly terms eventually and finds her tough and snarky attitude invigorating. How odd the way she looks at him sometime, possibly just a goofy face she likes to make...
♫ Nana Darling ♫
"The sweetest mother around with the most adorable little boy"
Of all the people in the office, Nana is the one person he had connected with more than any other. Having only known her for two years, but that was all it take to quickly become best friends with how much they have in common. Always looking to learning something new about her or hear of any cute stories about Rude and seeing her so eager to talk about it truly shows just how much of a caring mother she is. She still remains somewhat reclusive; even around him, but each day talking about whatever current mystery novel, discussing who the culprit could be or solve it before the other, which has become a small competition between them. Not to mention the amusing and juicy gossips that Nana tends to hear around the office. Since her joining two years ago; life at the office has become far more more enjoyable and while already happy, seeing her come into the office only further brightens his day. Gerald is always there for whenever she needs someone to talk to when in need of cheering up or just to help with a confidence boost, though is careful to avoid any topic regarding her husband, who she hasn't been able to move on from, but one day hopes to help her get over it and maybe can finally be free. These two years have grown a deep bond between two close friends as he cares for her deeply; thinking of her as a little sister that he can't help but be protective of. If you really want to see an upset Gerald, just try to mess with his sweet Nana bear
☮Eugene Han☮
"A tough nut to crack, but a good heart lies within"
Eugene is one person who seems to need someone to talk with the most, though the somewhat cold and distance air she gives off makes it difficult. At times she looks like she doesn't want to be where she is, like a person stuck in an dead end job, but so focused with doing her job she fails to notice just how valuable she is to both the salesmen/women as her skills in selling helps motivates the others to try harder. Gerald will one day get through that hard shell shielding her to let her see the greatness of being herself. A little compassion a day can at least give her a smile to get through the day.
☯ Chris Meyer☯
"Where most workers would be workaholics...Chris is a prankaholic"
An easygoing guy who can be fun or entertaining with his jokes of the day and his pranks is sometimes a good pick me-up. Yet, sometimes seems to let it distract him from work; along with the rare occasion that a prank goes too far or simply immature. To work in an office is to act like an adult if you wish to be treated as one and to Gerald, his pranking seems less fun and more to cover his less than willing desire of working in the office. Still, he gets the work done and very clever in how he goes about selling as well as his pranks. These jokes of his are killing...think I could ask for some joke adv- uh..nevermind.
☯ Temperance Venalle☯
"A fresh new face to the accounting family just makes it all the more envigorating"
Not much to say with the recent hire, but any addition to the workplace family means a soon to be friend in his book. And by the look of her, will get along swimmingly and showing her the ropes will be a good way to break the ice. Good to keep a paper bag ready just in case
⚜ Moe Williamson ⚜
"Is that a cigar in his pants or is he happy to see us?"
Always a shame to see when one smokes, but its understandable why they do it and with a demanding job even more so. One can tell by looking this is a man who lives by the way of money and it shows in his dedication in working. A guy one can respect, but the big ego and somewhat greedy nature makes attempts of being friends estranged. Wonder if you drop a bill and he'll snatch it up?
☮ Rose Peters ☮
"Nice to have an organizing buddie with how messy these coworkers get"
A good, if not one of the best receptionist this office ever had. One good way to attract people new clients or people is to have an warm and inviting receptionist that's easy to talk with and to show the workers care. When nothing to do, Rose is one person he would enjoy organizing messes while talking about casual topics and learn about each others. That gullibility of hers along with trying to please everyone though must be stressful and just working to get her to say no every now and then is a goal to work towards. It may not be possible to please everyone, but pleasing those you care about is what's important.
♫ Alastair Abbey♫
"We're a goofy goober yeah!"
Never did he think to find a fellow person who also had such a positive outlook on life. To have another in the office that's just as nice, though others might say Gerald still trumps him in positivity. Quickly becoming good friends, the two meet and just chat..sometime for hours on reasons on why each day is a good or nice day, even when it really isn't. Next to Nana, Alastair is the one other person in the office he can really connect and feels who gets him. Probably best not to let these two stay together for too long otherwise blind everyone with all that sickening positivity.
☮ Sam Foster ☮
"Don't let the ladies swipe your charms Mr. Bond"
One can't help but feel relaxed around Sam, who just has that kind of charm that soothes you. Tension seems to melt away when he enters the room or vicinity, which makes the long, dull work pass by all the easier. A classy gentleman everyone instantly thinks after looking at him in his comfortable garb. Yet, getting him to talk tends to make him somewhat evasive as if trying to hold in what he actually wants to say, but give him a reason to talk and hopefully get him to let out some of those bottled thoughts of his. Swore I saw his teeth literally sparkle when smiling once.
☯ Emily Kessier☯
"I see we've found the ever elusive Kessier..better get your masterball ready"
Hard to catch her around the office to talk and get to know with how she seems to always slip away. Two years and still trying to get her out of that cubicle proves to be a difficult task as she goes out of her way to avoid the others unless she's needed when it comes to the tech in the firm. Her knowledge on computers and other such technology certainly intrigues him and curious of what else she might possibly know, but her unwillingness to interact simply makes it a fun challenge for Gerald. Oops..looks like I spilled water on the printer, better get Emily...
