Menzai remained quiet for the moment while the two brothers got settled and made themselves comfortable. This time used to study each of them in turn; unable to help but be curious seeing as he was the first of his people to see any human in hundreds of years. At first look they seemed so...ordinary and yet he could sense something from them, what it was he couldn't say. Some more observation and information would be needed but his inquiries needed to be put on hold for the time being.

His ears visibly flicked upon hearing Dante speak up; a clear sign they were very much real though being referred by a nickname brought a small, displeased frown to that otherwise near blank face. Yet, he held his tongue for the time being as the two likely had plenty of questions for the strange canine suddenly requesting to join them.

Waiting till both of them had the chance to speak and was grateful to see that Darius was not bothered at being referred to by his formal manner." Before I answer, I must request to refrain the use of nicknames. Please, if possible, call me Sir Isanami or Mr. Isanami if the first suggestion proves too formal." Stopping there for a moment to gauge their reactions to his simple request before carrying on.

Ignoring the small twitch of his nose caused by the enticing and tantalizing scent of steak and sweet fruits tickling his nose. Nothing he couldn't handle, but as expected being surrounded by all the different kind of smells coming from the food proved a bit distracting to his sensitive nose.

" As for the agreements mentioned. Besides the minor request I have two others with simply allowing me to join in your travels where I may help in whatever endeavors and goals to be completed. Secondly, when my protection or aid is not in need that I be seen and treated purely as an observer. Whatever personal incidents or troubles that involves no harm or risk of safety will be such that I will not get involved." He finished with a small nod of his head as he once again peered over each of them in turn, taking in their reaction and facial expression.

It was at that time he saw the menu hosting the listed meals the establishment offered which he responded by lifting his right arm that had been hidden within the long sleeves folded across his lap. His right hand was raised, revealing those sharp fingernails that were more akin to claws where he would give a small wave in a declining motion.

" I offer my thanks, but I must decline as I lack any monetary funding to pay compensation to this establishment." He directed as politely as possible to the server before shifting his hand till only his index finger was up." However, if possible, I would request for a glass of water if it not too much trouble and with it I extend to you my appreciation." The wolf added along with a kind nod then lowered his hand to slip it back within the long sleeve where they rested along his lap once more.

What Hurly said next proved to be an important clue and one he wished he had gotten a bit earlier." You said the robberies have only been done while Robbie is manning the station?" If this is true then it only makes him wonder why they simply hadn't set up better watch whenever this Robbie was on the cameras or given him a different job. Either the staff's loyalty were keeping them from suspecting the man or some of these folks weren't exactly too...bright themselves. Whatever the case, it was unlikely that Robbie was working with the thieves or at least not intentionally.

If Robbie was indeed of the clumsy sort and not an act, then his guess was that this person was an unwilling stooge having their incompetence taking advantage of. They likely only picked the nights they knew Robbie would be watching the cameras who would be doing so poorly or that he is easily tricked and manipulated, but then that raises another question. How do they know the station watch schedule if this was indeed the case?

" Hurly, you have been a great help and I have need of it a little more. How are the scheduling for job roles security station handled? And when will Robbie be watching this place next?"

Menzai quietly observed the two after dispensing with his introductions, turning his ears away upon noticing the man named Dante leaned towards his companion to whisper something. He did so to avoid listening in as again he was not one to intrude one's privacy unless the situation demanded it. Soon having the pair introduce themselves and through it confirmed his assumption that the two were brothers and their bickering exchange further confirming it.

It was quickly evident that he took the two off-guard and that such a public place indeed made for a poor place to meet the two humans. Yet, after having witnessed what was broadcasted on that hologram and realized things were far more dangerous and dire than previously thought leading to a great need to get them under his watch earlier than intended as an enemy of humans could be lurking anywhere at this point. Even now his senses were working to pick up any hint or signs of dangerous or ill intent while making sure to keep from showing his alertness so as to not have the brothers worry needlessly.

Sensing nothing of the sort as of yet, allowing him to return his attention to the individual named Darius who extended his hand towards him in a queer fashion which he responded with another respectful bow of his head." I am most appreciative of the kindness afforded to me even after my sudden and abrupt approach. I am pleased to make your acquaintance, Sir Dante and Sir Darius." Turning his head to each in turn when mentioning their names; normally he would prefer to them by last name though since they shared the same surname it would be confusing to do so." I graciously accept the offer to join in your dining and during this time hope to accrue agreement in joining with your travels where I may assist in whatever endeavors is sought." Bowing his head once more then moved to take a seat at the table indicated where they may better discuss things out while the brothers ate.

Not quite the reaction he had hoped for but hey, at least she wasn't crying or giving him those cold eyes. She was, however, annoyed at him for ruining the grapes with his juggling." Oh...yeah guess you could have....sorry about that." Lowering his head a bit, scratching at his cheek while mentally chastising him for screwing up again. Course, he didn't figure that any woman in this hall would be fine eating grapes that have been dropped onto the floor, well except maybe one person he could think of that might.

He blinked at her statement that he needed to pick them up and gave a few nods of his head with an awkward laugh." Right uh, yeah I should do that. Seeing as I made this mess...twice." Glancing down at the floor littered with grapes; not wanting to cause trouble or give any more work than needed to the staff.

Kazu was preparing to get to work on doing just that when he noticed the woman circling around and eyeing him over which had him feeling like he was some kind of show pony on display. His almond brown eyes which were still settling from a near panic attack held no sign of deception; in fact, Kazu was a person that practically wore his emotions on his sleeve with the way he was standing there in an awkward and uncertain manner. Then he felt those fingers trailing along the back of his shoulders causing his body to tense up from the unexpected touch with a nervous shiver running down his back. The young blonde was at a loss on what to think of this and could do nothing but blink and wait for her to finish... whatever it was she was doing." Hm? Oh, right. Good to uh meet you, Lady Zarai and sure, I don't mind helping with a favor seeing as how I owe you one." This time rubbing the back of his head when he heard her comment about something being curious making him raise a curious brow of his own as he turned his head to look over his shoulder at her." Huh? What is?" He asked though didn't really dwell on it for long." But, anywho. I should get to picking up these grapes before someone ends up slipping on one."

With a half-hearted laugh Kazu dropped down onto hands and knees to grab a few grapes nearest him before stopping." Oh and if you like, feel free to share in some of that wine if you are thirsty." He added without raising his head, instead raising his right arm up over his head to point at the opened bottle resting on the table nearby. Soon going back to grabbing up the grapes, whistling as he did so showing it was no bother for him to do so.

Little less than half a day since leaving the safe confines of his village and the first among his tribe to venture outside since the days humans first vanished from the realm. An entire world new and foreign to the lone wolf who knew very little of the peoples and current issues or problems as whatever information he gained from the library were outdated and thus would serve him little help. The unknown; terrifying to most, but to Menzai it was a plethora of opportunities and mysteries for him to beheld and observe.

Though such things would have to be on hold for his current objective was to seek out any humans in need of protection. Yet, even after being told of the rumors of humans returning, he still held doubt that humans truly have returned and until he personally encountered some the doubts will persist. And so, he traversed through the forest at a casually slow and alert pace, the long sleeves extending just pass his clawed hands and baggy pant-sleeves billowed gently whenever a breeze blew through; its fabric white as snow and loose fitting promising ease of movement. Matching white furred ears flicked atop his head, nearly hidden beneath his night-blue hair which seemed to almost glisten beneath whatever sunlight succeeded in seeping through the thickly packed trees. Besides the faint flap of his haori he scarcely made any other sounds as his feet; shoeless and harden from years of going about barefoot stepped in a manner rivaling that of elves. As while Menzai lacked training in combat his hunting skills were top notch; capable to hunt without being seen unless choosing to do so or an equally skilled hunter were after him.

His trek was quiet and peaceful as he encountered nothing of note save for some wild animal that he greeted silently before carrying on. River Port was his destination as for now his plans were to actually discern if the rumors were true and if he discovers them false then would simply return home.

And since he took a path that seldom received foot-traffic making chances of encountering any travelers unlikely. Then he picked up a faint scent, two in fact that were a fair distance from him, possibly half a mile or a little more and normally the wolf would pay it little mind. Yet, the scents were unknown that did not seem the match anything within these woods or of the other races he had sampled from the rare traveling visitors. A prospect too intriguing for his curious mind and so decided to inspect the source of these enigmatic scents. Shifting to bend his legs low until he was nearly crouching against the ground and then with a kick of his powerful legs leapt up high into the air where he landed gracefully onto the branches more than halfway up the tree's length. An adequate height for the demi-canine as he began leaping and running along the branches, his steps quiet and precise without missing a beat as if he naturally knew the quickest and safest pathways along the branches.

Within minutes he had been upon the two having stopped a good twenty feet wanting to keep a respectable distance to go unnoticed, but close enough to observe the two individuals that piqued his interest. Now within visible distance, he could see the two to be male and the scents now more perceptible allowing him to better discern the pair to be wholly foreign to these woods and maybe even this realm as the manner of their clothes seemed to match descriptions some humans were described to wear from the books.

Crouching down to remain unseen much as possible; from that moment on he silently observed and stalked the duo. If they truly were human then he needed to learn if they were not dangerous or in need of his aid. Such questions that he got answers to less than an hour after following as they seemed harmless though clearly were not accustomed with traversing the woods. They were certainly a peculiar pair and from the snippets of their conversations he caught seemed to suggest they were close; friends or brothers perhaps? It was possible to catch more, but he did not wish to intrude on their privacy too much and so chose to only listen in from time to time while most of his senses were focused on the surrounding area.

The unpleasant and rank stench of goblins soon stung his nose causing him to momentarily cringe in distaste as he turned his attention back to the humans. What he witnessed next left him staring incredulously at the two now left dangling upside down having been caught in traps anyone who actually bothered to look could catch. The nearly blank expression adorning his face briefly took on a look of exasperation making him wonder how the two lasted this long as he heard the dangling inept humans screaming for help.

Menzai prepared himself to help as he could both smell and hear the goblins encroaching upon their caught prey when the hairs on the back of his neck bristled. Eyes going wide as his body crouched low into a defensive stance, the smell of a demon suddenly appearing in the air.

Why a demon would be out here he had no idea nor what the being planned to do, but he kept himself ready for if the need to intervene arises. To his surprise, the demon proved an ally at least for the time being as he observed the ensuing battle after the humans were freed who showed they were capable of fighting at least. His attention, thus was kept on the demon; uncertain if he could deal with such a creature and hoped it would not turn its attention on the pair once the goblins were dispatched as he remained crouched, his right hand raised with those sharp clawed fingers prepped and ears perked in alertness.

The goblins were dispatched before long and now only the demon remained with no way to know what he may do next. Only to be surprised yet again when seeing the dark being suddenly leave on its own with nary a word to the two he just helped. A very peculiar and strange incident and bit of exchange but no harm befell the brothers so there was no point in pursuing his inquiries any further.

He waited for a few minutes after the two had ventured on before dropping down from the branches to inspect the goblins freshly looted. It wasn't items or belongings he was after; no, he was inspecting their numbers as he found this group merely a hunting party which meant only one thing. The lone wolf stood there, still as a statue and eyes closed as his breathing slowed until it was barely a whisper. All about him, the beating pulse of the forest hummed with life; many footsteps of various animals moved about then the faint flapping of feathered wings rung out behind him to the left as tiny footfalls made his ears give the gentlest flick. Exhaling slowly from his nostrils then without warning the predator spun and lunged at the ruffling bushes at such speeds he almost looked like a snowy blur.

A loud pain filled screech and gurgling wretch followed by the small thump of the single goblin collapsing while clutching its ripped throat, its dark putrid green blood pooling and staining the ground beneath where it weakly thrashed before going still.

Menzai stepped back into the clearly giving a quick wave of his right arm flicking the sickening blood from his stained fingers. The features of his face contorted with a minor look of disgusted at the foul smell of the goblins but now the scout had been dispatched before it return to camp and bring a larger party. A disgruntled sigh left his lips as he knew the smell would persist on his claws for days as he set off to the nearest river or stream to wash his hands off with some sweetly scented flowers to cover the smell best he could.

Once taken care of, the silent wolf moved on to catch up and follow after the brothers, eventually reaching River Port a few minutes after their arrival. He hesitated just outside the border, however, as this was the first time he or any of his people would be entering a town as his village was all that he knew. He took a minute to gather himself for he knew this was only one of many stops and as such needed to ready himself to visit plenty more settlements with some being far bigger and imposing than this simple port city.

When ready, the wolf entered the city using his knows to follow the brothers scent passing crowds of people as he went. Walking with his hands hidden within the folded sleeves of his haori; paying no mind to those who stopped to look at him who found his appearance odd.

It was during this time that the unexpected hologram began popping up all over. What ensued was a most horrendous and gruesome video that had people giving strong negative reactions. He, himself found it horrible and cruel; witnessing such a thing only further instilled in him a need to find and protect the humans now that he knew such monstrous and dangerous beings like this Pride were hunting for them.

This meant that simply watching the two brothers from a distance no longer proved enough and thought it time to meet them in person. And so he continued on eventually arriving at a seafood type restaurant though before he could make his way inside an incident occurred involving a miniature tornado a short distance away. For a moment he waited to see if any dangers would follow suit, but thankfully nothing of the sort happened then with a slight shrug of his shoulders quietly made his way inside.

Quickly noticing most of the people still peering through the window talking about what had just happened outside though the humans did not seem too interested or bothered by the events seeing as how they were carrying on at the table.

Deeply inhaling then a slow exhale as he approached the one still sitting, unable to recall exactly which one it was where he gave a courteous bow of the head." Greetings and good tidings. Forgive this sudden interruption in seeking sustenance but after witnessing that abominable video prevents me from refraining introductions. I am Menzai and know that I am an ally come forth to offer my aid and protection to any human in need. If accepted I shall give my all to ensure the safety of you and your brethren." He stated his offer in a calm and gentle voice, his tone cool and nearly devoid of emotion yet gave no inkling of deceit or trickery.

This case was proving difficult and making little head way. Tristan was starting to think he made a mistake thinking he could try playing detective as these thieves seemed to really know what they were doing. They had to be to avoid being caught even with such security though for some reason they were sloppy last night. What was different to make them sloppy? It seemed like the thief was in a rush, more so than usual considering they were given chase; likely unable to maneuver through the fence like they normally would. And the ranch hasn't had any recent hires which was smart as they would be the most likely suspect so then...how exactly were they doing this? The thieves definitely had someone on the inside and possibly a skilled hacker. It could be possible they bribed and paid out one of the staff that manned this station, but that was risky for a number of reasons so it was unlikely.

The musing teen leaned back in his chair with arms folded across his chest as he pondered over such questions in his head while staring at the screens. Another strange thing was the speed; able to act so quickly.

" Mr. Hurley. Tell me something. Does anything of note occur during the days of these robberies? Any events that are different from the usual day or yesterday in particular? Or any visitors?" His thumb gently tapped against his shoulder as he asked the man while glancing at the two men in turn to gauge their reactions towards his latest line of questions.

Even after having left the group behind and that unpleasant chill, Kazu still found himself unable to shake off the cold sensation causing him to shudder. He rubbed at his shoulders trying to warm up and rid himself of this icy phantom." Jeeze...I could swear someone wants me dead or something." And with the way those two were treating him so coldly; such suspicions seemed highly plausible though what he was feeling now seemed worse than what that prince was giving off.

" I'm going to catch a cold at this rate. I think it's high time I returned to the food and get something hot in my belly." The mention of food had his belly rumbling in turn; a clear answer to the suggestion made to himself. Eating might also do well to help get his mind off things as the night has been quite the strange one for the blonde farmer. Having his story rejected by the sultan and being reunited with an old friend thought dead and he even wound-up dancing with a princess, if one could call twirling around like children dancing. Only for it to end with earning the bone chilling ire of her brother and that companion of his. Then there was the incident he wanted to forget; how he wished he could go find the girl and apologize for... well, he had no idea what exactly but it did not matter whatever he did for he owed an apology regardless. Gods, now he was beginning to sink back into depression and after Ani went out of her way to cheer him up and now his mind was reeling with the fact a princess bothered to pay a nobody like him any attention.

It was at that moment that he took notice of a servant carrying a tray with empty glasses and an unopened bottle of wine, likely to go around offering refreshments. Unfortunate for this servant, they found themselves in the line of a thirsty predator who, without warning dashed by swiping the bottle from the tray with fingers so nimble the tray barely shifted as he passed by. Spinning on the spot with a pop of the bottle." The hunt has been successful and I bid you my thanks and apologies." Continuing to walk backwards as he carried on with a respectful toast towards the bewildered staff." But alas, tis I who needs this most wondrous elixir to soothe this woeful heart of mine at this time." Giving a salute while downing a big gulp or two of the bottle; using the servant's confusion to slip away towards the dining tables.

Unfortunately, Kazu had done so walking backwards and still laughing at his expertly crafted bit of thievery when he suddenly felt his back struck against something.

He came to a stop with a grunt, but before he could do anything would see grapes falling around him, some bouncing off his head." Grape rain...never seen that kind of weather before." He said aloud to himself and came close to laughing had he not noticed the presence behind him, turning halfway to take notice of the young lady he bumped into." Oh, sorry about that miss.... guess my mind is a bit more scattered than I..." Trailing off upon taking notice of that expression on her face which made Crystal's distraught face and tear filled eyes flashed in his head.

*Oh sugar honey iced tea?!* The words screamed in his mind; eyes wide as he began panicking and fretting. He already made one lady cry tonight, were he to do it again then he might as well just save everyone and himself the trouble and just dive off the balcony right then.

His eyes were searching all around as he frantically scrambled to think of something, anything to stop the unknown woman from crying and were he not holding the bottle, his arms would be flailing about. He soon saw the grapes littering the floor around them and in his frenzied mind a most laughable idea came to mind, but right now it was the only one. Kazu quickly placed the bottle down on the nearest table then held out his hands in a hold it motion." Wait! Before you say or do anything please humor me." Asking his request with a weak laugh then moved down to scoop up as many fallen grapes his hands could hold." First and foremost, I offer my apologies and will gladly get you some more grapes or whatever food you desire but before I do so. It is only right I give these grapes a use so they're not wholly wasted." Nodding his head rapidly, eyes still wide in disbelief at this whole ordeal or what he was about to do and started juggling the grapes. Juggling one then a second was added then another and another until juggling 10 or 12? Eventually moving frantically in order to keep the momentum going. An almost impressive feat that he juggled for as long as he did, but trying to do so with grapes which are both quite small and slippery meant it was only a matter of time till they were falling and tumbling all over him.

By the time it was over Kazu was left standing there blinking stupidly and uncertain of what to do next except finish this off like as a performer should. Lifting his arms up to give a little half-hearted jazz hands shake." Um....tada?" The cowlicked blonde started to feel as if he simply could not win this night.

" Well of course not. I figured you and another and the boss at most." As with the more people with access meant figuring out the culprit or culprits was made all the more difficult. Shaking his head with a sigh." I don't mean any spot in particular, just if you know it happened anywhere near the fence." He added on in agitation in order to correct the confusion; wanting to discern if the fabric he had indeed belonged to the thief and considering a scream was let out there was a good chance the person had been in a hurry to flee thus resulting in getting snagged.

He folded his arms with a finger tapping against his arm as he listed to Hurley explain that the thievery had been occurring for almost a month now." Hm, then I have another question. Are any of the staff or those with access to this shed a recent hire? Sometime in the past few months?" Tristan inquired as he turned his head to give Hurley a proper observatory look over.
