@Flamelord So not all that bad in the first version.

Oh, now they can resist Hiroshima nukes?! huehue
Welp, given all the trash talking going on, I look forward to people fighting the Jaffa, and realizing that the whole point is for them to be the cannon fodder. Then the Kull come in.

Damn, this advanced cannon fodder will be super hard to kill with our own cannon fodder!

They do seem to have some pretty insane defenses. Do they need a special weapon to die or some super hard hits like Eto karate chopping them would work?
@SgtEasy Let's see his reaction.

Do it.

Rivard Universe - Conablum Labs, Conducting Damage Control

@SgtEasy@Flamelord@thewizardguy@Absolis@Pirouette

While Ruiko's release of air was certainly annoying, the Ethereal's robe would be the biggest victim here. The Berserkers were far too heavy to be hindered by such a burst and most troops were too far to be bothered. It appeared as though the accumulation of all that unfolded weighed a lot on the young esper's mind. Banha stood strong before the monsters he was to face, a remarkable reaction, but clearly a massive bluff or moment of stupidity from the Yakuza. As for ADVENT, well the troopers didn't last very long to the impromptu buff the lizards suddenly gained. Though luckily they had nowhere to escape with Eto blocking the way and the security system keeping them at bay.

Things changed for the worst however when Space Marines were invoked by the God Emperor himself. The Ethereal swiftly noticed the overwhelming psionic force behind all of this and did its best to maintain a link with the god-like being. Completely stunned by the decision taken by the head of the Imperium, the Ethereal couldn't understand the reasoning behind sending reinforcements here of all places. Did he truly want to wage war when the Conquerors were just around the corner? Especially when knowing that any harm done here most certainly didn't have war provoking value? For a near-omnipotent being, the alien started to have doubts on the being's state of mind.

"Cease this at once, Eto, Star child. You are but all crippling yourselves when the true threat lurks just around the corner. Must we remind that the Imperium lost the previous confrontation? And now they seek to be occupy and sack our new base? Foolishness."

Although a lot of it was true to the Ethereal, it wasn't so honest on what was the true threat. The immediate threat was of course the Conquerors, but the most difficult one to handle would be the Imperium. Of course, if the Imperium were to assault both the Outliners and the Conquerors, victory would be assured against the Emperor's reign. That being said, it would also make the conflict against the blatantly evil faction a lot more unsure.

It also came to notice that Cyano kept pushing Ruiko's buttons. Although the alien was against such taunting, it also saw Saten as its experiment. It found her, it evaluated her potential, and planned to groom her as a superior being considering her powerful psychic potential. It was just unfortunate she didn't keep using that sound based drug, the immense progress that could have been achieved would have been ground breaking. Pushing her mental limits was something that had to be done to unlock her true power, and this was the perfect occasion. Either she'd sprout into something even higher than what the alien expected from humanity. Or, she'd just be another ... Failure.

When it closed even more distance that separated the overlord from the Ruiko, the alien formed a spear with the psionic energy it manifested earlier on its hand.

"Abandon this ridiculous endeavor of theft and espionage. You are shooting yourselves in the foot. In exchange, we will give you the diplomatic exchange you so desire. Isn't that right, Eto?"

With the psi-lance on its hand, it made it very clear it wasn't going to be the talkative pussy of the bunch if things were to get ugly. Ruiko knew full well what it could do with just a single psi-lance. As a level 4 she could very well give it immense amounts of trouble, but the planet size distance that separated their experience would even make a titan dizzy.

Hot damn, Eto didn't expect so much energy coming from that little esper. This made her all the more tasty. The steaming saliva from the kakuja beast flowed out of the grotesque and foul smelling jaw it kept an open grin on. Unfazed by what was displayed, Eto was quickly leaning to swallowing Banha first given the levels of sass emanating from his being. Though before she could intervene, the leader of the Imperium decided to take the reigns for a bit and bring some reinforcements. A bunch a weird looking armored fellows surrounded Cyano, Muffet and herself. They were about 50 and to Eto they smelled like spoiled flesh, inedible waste of space she could only crush under her might. They didn't worry her too much, what did however was both the Ethereal's scolding and Cyano's bullying of Ruiko.

"Pfffff! It's not like we're in the wrong, E.T. They were just retarded enough to think a nuke was necessary for ... Three people! Bwahahahahahahaha!"

Laughing at the poor choice the girl made, the Kakuja felt almost completely disconnected from the immediate threat that ha the intent of mowing her down if she were to get out of hand. Well, they'd at least try. Cyano made it clear she had troops ready to assault and it was technically Eto's choice to give the green light. There wasn't very much of a threat around here in any case, this Legion of the Damned, although flashy with their flames and edgy armor, they weren't perfect. At all. If they had similar energy shields than those lizards, than it wouldn't be a problem for this Kakuja form seeing how she handled Banha's personal energy field. As for their armor, they couldn't be any stronger than CCG's Kakuja armor, the type of armor supposedly as strong as a Kakuja which greatly surpasses a Ghoul's typical superhuman defenses. Needless to say, she completely fodderized investigators specifically trained to kill her kind with weapons and armor of that caliber. These soldiers were going to be a piece of cake.

"Heheheheheheheh. I like it here. We can kill them again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and then we CHEAT CHEAT CHEEEEEAAAAAT! And then I'll die over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over!"

Although long, she'd say it immensely fast. It was more her Kakuja talking than anything else, though it was clear, they had a gargantuan home field advantage. They could just abuse the dead land system and endlessly return their minions while the opposition would be met with various initiatives to just break the system for the opposing forces. Though how that could be done, she didn't know, but she liked to plant this possibly false idea into the minds of enemy, just to terrify them some more.

The Ethereal's sensible suggestions however didn't fall into deaf ears. Eto wasn't stupid either, even if she left her Kakuja get the better of her at times. No, she planned this since the beginning, they were not going to be completely serious about this and would engage in a dialogue. The female ghoul's main body would emerge from the now gaping jaw of the Kakuja, her body barely covered by a few volatile bandages strapped against her.

"Liiiighten up all of you! Jeez, it was all just a joke! It's not like we were actually going to kill you or anything. Blame your boss for half-assing the information about this place. We assumed y'all weren't dumb enough to step in some place you didn't know about."

She'd hop out of her monster form, the beast seemingly vanishing into a pile of ribbons that vanished into dust. She had re-absorbed all the RC-cells of her Kakuja and simply didn't see any use in it.

"Fine, fine. We can talk. But over dinner, I've been planning this banquet for quite a while now so ... You and you are invited. Muffet love, if you would kindly open the doorway to the dining hall~"

She'd say as she marched through the fallen space marines as if they weren't there for anything special other than decor. Her small frame almost appearance comedic when she'd have her way with them. By then, she pointed at Ruiko and Banha as she indeed asked them to join her in this diplomatic exchange. They'd be able to meet a few other executives in the process. Now all that had to be done was for Muffet to act as if they weren't surrounded by hostiles and just open the portal to their fancy dinner room prep for this event.

Tatara

Cybertron - Starscream's quarters

@Mtntopview

Starscream was not only interested, but agreed to the proposition. Tatara was more than pleased, the plan was going smoothly and Starscream was the volatile piece they needed to truly gain the edge on every one of the factions. Well, at least what he could provide during the exchange they would have. The ghoul grinned under his mask before activating the communication device in his hand. In reality, it was another Terminal that manifested a portal farther away in which every party could enter.

"You may bring your two minions. Make sure they will not be of any nuisance to the event."

Tatara warned before presenting the portal, gesturing in an inviting manner the trio of robots to enter it and discover what lied in the other side. One they would enter, Tatara and his ghoul servants would follow behind before closing the portal behind them. The Decepticons would be welcomed by a massive dining hall with a ceiling much higher than their already exaggerated height. The only problem would be the three massive chandeliers that brought quality lighting to the luxurious room.

The the center, a large dining table with every plate and ustensile set before each table. There were going to be quite a few guests if the order was correct. At the very end, facing the master's chair on the other side, there'd be a larger chair with Starscream's name written on a small card/name tag placed on the quality porcelain plate. Starscream had the seat of honor, after all he'd discover why he'd be of value more than any other. Tatara guided him to it and invited him to sit down.

"Your guards will have to stand or wait in another room. If you have a question or need something, ask the maid. I'll be at your disposition nearby. The even will commence shortly, there appears to be a small setback."

There would be a maid standing before the largest door leading to what was likely the living room of this visibly appealing area. Tatara left, but employed the door leading to the kitchen in order to confirm one of the guests arrived and needed some rather special nourishment.

If Starscream were to check his radars, he could confirm that he wasn't in Cybertron, but in Arcadia-1. If he tried to get his own positioning, it'd be impossible. In reality, he'd be in the pocket dimension created by the Quincy to remain concealed from view in the occupied Multiversial hub.
@Lmpkio Really? I personally thought you'd tell me to tone him down a little, but the thing is, I have learned a valuable lesson in my 5 years with the site:

It's not how powerful he is on paper, it's how powerful he is in game.

I generally give my characters access to a plethora of power, in story, they tend to only be as powerful as the story demands them to be. If they need to get their ass handed to them, then they get their ass handed to them. Because having fun is the main goal of RPing. Sure, I can make them as OP as humanly possible, but people will quickly get sick of them and i'll just get kicked out and then I won't get to play anyway.

TL;DR: Make a character as powerful as you like, but make sure you play nicely, or you get kicked out and won't get to play them anyway.

I don't know much about the 40k universe as much as it seems interesting. But from my understanding the Primarchs could also have super strength and had a pretty good healing factor. I don't know what Daemon Prince do but I assume they also have nifty stuff? Maybe, correct me on anything if I'm wrong. But if this is true it may be that Lmpkio simply can't know that from reading the power and weaponry section. Which at this current time seems balanced, even a little weak compared to how power levels have risen.

I agree with what you've said in the rest.
Welp, Ruiko has been attacked, committed theoretical genocide of an entire planet, and has now been surrounded by sadistic, sociopathic murderers who have thus far expressed nothing resembling peaceful intentions. Expect a mental snap shortly.

The Ethereal is actually Aizen and this was all part of keikaku to have her turn into a super weapon. Of course. Now the alien just needs to have a new mask with a smug smirk.
@Flamelord Because they get shit done without any speeches about friendship.

Also they're Sam Pepper level in pranks. Can't beat that.

Rivard Universe - Conablum Labs, Conducting Damage Control

@SgtEasy@Flamelord

While the Ethereal initiated the transport sequence from Arcadia's pocket dimension, to Conablum labs, it noticed that communication with Eto, Muffet and Cyano were cut, but from the entire lab as well. It was only thanks to the surveillance endeavor initiated by the Quincy that it could be informed so quickly of the situation. Once transported into the main lobby of the labs, the alien noticed just how out of hand the whole thing had went. The robotic defense system was on but every living being was on the floor, apparently lifeless despite their bodies technically functioning. They lacked any form of brain activity or prionic influence, thus the conclusion could be made that the burst of energy detected was similar to the soul destroying technology made by the Quincy. A frightful though it would be to contemplate what the Imperium could produce as a war weapon.

The next thing it noticed, in the midst of the crossfire, would be Banha and Ruiko, and around them the bodies of Eto and Muffet. Cyano was left lifeless not too far away either. Considering the rules of this universe, it wasn't bothered the slightest about this, but what brought thing to the current dilemme was what truly pushed the overlord's buttons. The sound conclusion would be that either muffet or Eto or even both had the nice idea to test out the Rivard Universe's mechanics on the guests and instead got blasted away by some secret weapon.

"Saten Ruiko. We meet again. The same for you, Other One whom we've met. It appears your attempts at a pillage have been met with hard resistance."

Ironically, it used the Terminal crystal on its mask to form a portal on the ceiling, it was rather large and what came from it would be a squad of ten various ADVENT troopers and two mutated and fully enhanced Berserkers. Ruiko had trouble with four of them in their outdated state, now that she had a nice power boost, perhaps these would be more adequate. Of course, this time the Ethereal Mind Merged both of them, mostly to keep them in check as there was no point in rushing in battle. In truth, it didn't plan on fighting, but it was clear both of these individuals were on edge and anticipation was the best course of action.

The ADVENT troops scrambled and took down most of the lizardfolk who would have their hands full as they attempted to escape with higher quality gear. Using their Gauss weapons it wasn't too hard to have the armored minions feel the shots and stop them on their tracks. At least they weren't fighting MECs, not that it was necessary if the Ethereal talked it out correctly.

"It is of no importance what sparked this unfortunate event. It is strongly encouraged to stand down immediately."

The alien approached the two at an eerily slow pace as the two behemoths followed it at its own pace, kept completely in place thanks to its psionic influence. It had no fears, it knew perfectly well how this universe worked and consulted multiple members of the Ethereal council to test it with extraordinary reports. It released one of its grey arms out of it red clad and made its palm face upwards.

"Because if the estimations are correct. They should be arriving."

The said hand displaying the energy would then wave over the two bodies of the female executives they had 'killed', displaying quite clearly what it meant by 'they'. It didn't matter however, as the mentioned horrors now re-emerged from their ashes. The Ethereal witnessed the scene in complete disinterest.

Dead World - Rivard Universe, Getting some payback

@Absolis@Flamelord@SgtEasy@Pirouette

Even with Cyano's reinsurance that things were fine, the shadiness of the guy completely disconcerted the female ghoul who had seen worse, but had a bizarre fixation with how bad he looked. While the giant man talked nonsense and Cyano dominated him, Eto gave Muffte The Stare when the spider complained about pretty much everything about the situation. She didn't like it here, her stuff broke, and Eto just kept it going until the portal formed. By then, the ghoul broke the ridiculous moment and noticed they were surrounded by people. Although they looked tasty they also smelled like ... Nerds. A massive turn off which made the silly ghoul focus on what was important for once: Scaring them kiddies.

The exit was formed and she had no reason to stick around this dreadful place anymore. If she still had her phone and camera, she'd rate it above average in some smug site, she'd visit it again to write her next book. They were out on the streets, where people were on the ground, served like a darn buffet to a ghoul like her. Her tummy seemed happy to see this, but the noises in the backgrounds deterred her pretty hard. Remembering that the two were probably still alive after the previous ordeal, they didn't have much of a choice.

"Well this is problematic. I suppose we're going to have to go a bit hardcore. Losersayswhat?"

With that childish ending, she prompted the two females she worked with to respond. Whether they did or not didn't matter, she still did it. Her body would twitch only for a second before she'd seem to be enveloped by a large amount of foul smelling flesh. Before anyone could move their focus away from the stench, two tentacles would emerge from the mass' back and forcibly grabbed the scientific sociopath and the cannibalistic arachnid by binding them with said robust tentacle. The mass of flesh then sprouted legs in which it flexed only for a second before propelling itself right at the direction of the chaos. Like a bolt of red light, is sped through the distance before crashing itself on the concrete before the entrance to the labs. Incidentally, it would be behind Ruiko Saten and Banha as they were solicited by the Ethereal on the other side.

"Mmmm, dying left me rather famished. Who would've known? Heh heh heh."

If the strong impact behind them didn't ring a bell, perhaps the red smoke of evaporated blood in the air caught the attention of the Imperium Diplomats. But even then, because Eto was such a thoughtful ghoul, she'd let her enormous Kakuja's raspy, demonic and echoing voice seep into their minds. She still had her own, typical girly voice, but it was indeed overwhelmed by this sinister filter one would only expect from a demon. If they were to turn around, they would see the grotesque behemoth that was Eto's second Kakuja. With her two buddies released, they could all see the robed monster towering over even the Berserkers with blades and spikes emerging from her back armed and ready to slaughter them. Nova on the other side could also witness the monstrosity cornering his allies.

"You should try dying. It's fun! You too E.T!"

With that morbid suggestion, the One-Eyed Owl showed its face from the red mist with the most disconcerting of grins on the abominable visage that represented full well her title of One-Eyed. Of course, she wasn't going to attack, because playtime was reaching its end. But one final scare was surely going to create amusing reactions. Though the Ethereal was not amused, at all.

Tatara

Cybertron - Starscream's quarters

@Mtntopview

It appeared as though the Decepticon was more or less seduced by the proposition. Although it seemed foolish but even a comedic traitor such as this robot could see the advantage in knowing particular element of the hand that's feeding him. Tatara's expression was hard to discern, mostly because his mouth area was completely concealed and his eyes held only an aura of intimidation. For the first time during their conversation, he male ghoul took a few steps forward toward the dwarfing transformer, his body still as stiff as ever.

"What we offer you is simple. The identity of the Alliance's leader. Added to that partial specifics on certain members of their elite section. A section that far exceeds anything you may amass here. Unless of course, you anticipate it correctly."

From Tatara's eyes, Starscream could see the man had a more sympathetic expression when putting the valuables on the table, quite a contrast to his usual expression. That that would soon revert to cold and unappreciated surprise when the intercom in his ear would send him information involving Conablum labs. He couldn't get that as fast as the Ethereal, but the ghouls who worked for him were able to gather information, albeit at a slower pace. He worried for Eto at this point, and how her recklessness may have brought some issues to their operations. Despite being very close to her, Tatara knew that behind her image as a messiah leader she also had the maddening scars of her childhood that made her behave so strangely. While not a liability, such problems could be avoided with that.

The ghoul focused again on starscream and cracked his neck to put his senses back in order. They couldn't discuss the elements of the deal here, not when there could be snitches anywhere. He would have to invite Starscream to the event.

"If you are interested in knowing these core facts, you may follow me to the Banquet opened by the woman who assaulted your colleague. Eto."

With that offered, the ghoul's eyes turned completely black with the male's naturally red pupils glimmering in contrast to the swallowing black. He was glaring right into Starscream's soul at this point, perhaps to put emphasis on the fact that this was serious and not some joke the transformer could take lightly or from a completely high and mighty position.

"Consider the fact that you haven't been terminated yet proof that we seek what added value you may provide us thanks to this information. You may bring a Terminal for an escape if you feel the need. However. Anything Eto, Muffet or myself deem suspicious and we'll make due without you."

Tatara held a small walkie talkie in his hand that was concealed behind the long sleeves of his large white coat. He waited for Starscream's response, though little did the coward know his input on the upcoming reveal would be of value far surpassing what he could imagine.
Like, okay. @Flamelord You did nothing wrong.

There was nothing in both an OOC and IC standpoint that would have suggested such a ridiculous power to exist or even be used. And even if it did, since everyone knew the rules of this universe, they expected to probably die and experience dead world. OOCly I wanted to introduce this aspect of the universe and this bomb thing offered this chance. However it seems to be way more exaggerated than I came to expect.

What Absolis said. It was more of wrong place, wrong time, but that's any given time with the Outliners. That should be a motto.

Pretty sure ADVENT forces and the Ethereal can stop them lizards.
@Savato
Forming Fulgurite takes time (at least a minute) and a lot of effort. It's also an uncontrollable AOE weapon. Using it on Apocalypse would quite definitely have killed Apocalypse, but it would also have wiped out all of the Emperor's friend, and caused himself to take the damage as well. And it would have permanently cost him part of his soul. So this solution is far more logical.

And again, the Fulgurite was never meant to be used. It was intended to be a deadman's, which was why I specified that it would erase souls, and that Ruiko should inform the people at Conablum Labs of what it did. Had I been active at the time of the conflict I would most likely have interjected and attempted to avoid this outcome, as I had no intention of causing such a mess.

Now, while I would personally disagree that it's merely soular destruction, I have no problem with deciding the Deadland thing trumps it, as it would make this entire scenario far less of a pain to deal with.

Wait wouldn't that mean Ruiko and Banha died too? Bizarre.

Tbh it probably wasn't a good idea to bring it at all when you know the Outliners aren't particularly hostile to you and you also know that death doesn't have the same value in that universe. It would have been more useful to demonstrate power to the Conquerors, but Lmpkio would have been against it probably.

Aye, it's mostly what Absolis said, it isn't 40K, as such it would likely not work the same way even if it's insane reality warping stuff.

Also the Ethereal was going to pop up as soon as Banha and Ruiko (mentioned in in its latest post and Sgt took note of it) reacted to all of this. Meaning the Conablum labs pillage would have been met with some rather belligerent psionic countermeasures.
