UPDATE
Smoke continued to fill the confines of his office as Jasper enjoyed his daily morning cigarette; a dense cloud had formed, causing almost no visibility at all. For some reason, this didn't bother the Four Winds Headmaster; it was as if his vision was not obscured in anyway.
"A rambunctious bunch; not surprising." Jasper was still talking to himself while staring outside his window. As expected from children their age, the range of emotions that was present was as varied as magic itself. The thought of having to deal with such a group was starting to give him a headache.
His gaze was slowly redirected towards the distance; at the mountain trail that lead to his institution.
"Finally, they're all here." he said with a hint of relief. He was starting to get impatient; he was worried that they weren't going to start on time.
Putting the cigarette that was in between his two fingers up to his lips, Jasper took one last deep breath before letting out a massive amount of smoke. It filled his room and was forcefully blasted outside. Most of the students outside of Four Winds got a glimpse of Jasper, but the sudden sound of banging windows and the sight of a pale grey cloud quickly filling up the sky called their attention almost immediately.
It eventually managed to cover the sun, blocking out most of the light and dimming the area in the process. This, however, only lasted a few seconds. Sun rays began to pierce to the magical cloud as it started to crumble in multiple pieces before plummeting downwards. It was defintely a strange sight but what made it even more weird was the fact that the fragments of smoke started to take the form of doves and raced towards each and every newcomer that was present.
Many lacked the reflexes to react to smoke constructs that were zooming towards them. There were a few who were fast enough to dodge while others had the skill to block the so-called attack, but they all ended up in the same position regardless. As soon as they were inches away from the students, the doves reverted back to their base form and seeped in through every single orifice you could find on one's face. All the students were left motionless and in a daze. Their consciousness were intact, but it appeared that most of their senses and movement were robbed from them.
It was safe to assume that none of them had any idea of what was happening. Before irrational thoughts of fear could flood their minds, an semitransparent image appeared in front of each and everyone of them.
It was a man withshort black hair, tan skinned, thick scraggly eyebrows, wearing a black t-shirt, jeans and a long stained labcoat. His sleeves were folded up to his elbows, exposing his heavily tattooed arms. He was the same person who was in the room where all the smoke had come from.
"Good day to all of you. You already know me by name, but let me formally introduce myself. I'm Jasper Takayama, Headmaster of Four Winds."Despite being some sort of projection, he still continued to smoke. A few puffs later and he resumed speaking.
"Its eight o'clock based on my watch, so we're starting just in time. It was surprising that most of you came early. Anyway, you must be wondering what had just happened. Well, in a nutshell, I basically poisoned all of you. The right term might be corrupt, I'm not quite sure." the image of Jasper rubbed his chin momentarily as he pondered for a bit.
"No need to worry though. This is a novel spell of mine that's meant for wide scale transfer of information, but I'm using this now since I don't really have the time to welcome all of you personally; I'm a busy man. The ones that will be responsible for you will be a group of instructors I've personally selected. They'll be showing you around the campus and orienting you on all the rules we have here." The image appeared more faint as it slowly started to disappear.
"I guess that's it then. Well, good luck." And with that, they all started out to cough out the smoke that entered their bodies. While most of the new students were still trying to catch their breath and recover from the whole ordeal, an individual with red hair donned in a black, leather jacket with a fur collar and a white V-neck underneath, emerged from the gates of Four Winds and approached them. Completely distracted they failed to notice the symbols that was gradually forming on their bodies.
The red-haired man gave them a arrogant smirk and spoke.
"You lot can call me Varus. I'll be "taking care" of you for now."Something strange happened though; he just passed by each one of them.
"Everyone, follow me." he said in a stern voice as we began walking towards an open field outside of the school.
"Get ready for your first trial here at Four Winds. Those I deem to be unimpressive, are automatically expelled. Capiche?"OOC: Your character's will probably notice that the existing language barrier between each other has vanished, but the manner of speaking and accents still persist though. Feel free to ask in the OOC for any clarifications or questions.
