Pizza is a main course, but is also a pie. Therefore, I can eat pizza as my meal and have another pizza as my dessert.

When I need a left sock, there is none. When I don't need one, there is a surplus. I think the world is toying with me.

Bio

I am Searat
Half sea, Half rat, All Aqueous Rodent.

My role playing career is something i consider as a hobby of some sort but as to how long i have been role playing, I would say that i have three to four years under my belt. (Though most of the times I was role playing, they were nothing as serious as this and were more of a means to relieve stress with my friends or test out ideas that came to mind with them.)

As for my preferences to genres of role play, I would have no biases nor specific preferences to any genre and would be able to adapt to the genre as best I can when placed into it.

Some of my hobbies consist of: playing games, surfing the web, walking, bowling, darts, and cooking. I sometimes write and draw things but not as much to consider it to be a serious hobby.

"The tracks end here. Up to us and our intuition to decide which route is the most viable for reptoids to dwell in secrecy." Raime says as he couldn't spot any more tracks of the lamias as the dirt of the grove became the cold stone of the tunnels. The scout sheathed his sword and put his armored hand to his chin in thought as he tried to slim down his deductions to where the lamia nest may be. It had to be secure enough to allow them to keep living prey away from the predatory reach of other species. That ruled out the route populated by other species as it would be a pain in the ass to deal with when transferring captives. An open area was a no go either if they were trying to be discreet. Leaving the steep cavern and the underground lake cavern. "I think the nest is either in the steep cavern or the waterlogged one. Either way is a good possibility, in my opinion at least."

"Huh. Guess he didn't need help after all." Leo says with a nonchalant shrug. He didn't expect the thug to actually notice the slugs but he did apparently. 'Good for him I suppose' he thought as he watched the skateboarder weave through the remaining slug tongues. Though sad that he used up two of his ration bars, it allowed him and the others to navigate the hazard with more ease now that a cluster of the slugs were happily digesting the food he threw. But still...two days worth of food gone could be an annoyance in the future.

Just as he was deciding how to ration his remaining food bars, Imarui walked past him. Reminding the armored man that he should probably party up with the kid if he wanted to try keeping her safe during this delve. "Hey, Imarui. Overheard that you were partying up with Meixue and Turel. Mind if I tag along too?" Looking behind him to the ex-soldier and burial agent. "If they don't mind me tagging along, that is."

I have a character in mind that I plan to use for at least three or four monsters but I'll wait for the monster post to see if it needs some tweaking.

"Wai-!" Leo yells out to the thuggish youth too late as he blindly rushes forward and deeper to the illuminated path without a care in the world; seemingly unaware to the dangers it may bring to him or, worst case scenario, to the rest of the group. The armored man ran after the fiery red-head with surprising speed and agility enough for him to notice the true danger of the path. Screaming slugs laid in wait. Nothing more than biological trip alarms, but what made them a proper hazard was the creatures it would notify that a possible meal was nearby.

And Oribara was heading straight for a cluster of them.

Leo had to think quickly before a possible catastrophe occurred. Re-slinging his battle rifle, two of his now free hands reached into the side pockets of his bag and pulled out a two day's worth of rations and threw them at the Screaming Slugs. Who would have known that those nutrition packed but tasteless food bars would see use other than consumption? If the plan was successful, it would have a cluster of the slugs focus on the food bars and hopefully give Oribara an opportunity to pass through without causing an alarm. If the younger man was skillful enough to avoid them.

"Huh. Underground dwelling Reptoids that kidnap people." Now why does that sound familiar? Then the memory hit him. A summer in his youth where he and his bros tagged along with Mr. Miller on one of his town famous cryptid hunt. He wasn't a loonie like other believers in the paranormal, far from it actually, but he was Wakeford's biggest enthusiast. Raime smiled at the memory. Nothing like hanging out with his bros and seeing if the paranormal did exist in their world. And the sodas they got as a participation reward was a definite plus too. Nothing did come out of those monthly 'hunts' other than Raymond discovering his liking to hikes and that one time they found some guy's porn stash. Heh. Good times.

Blinking a couple of times in rapid succession, the one armed scout returned his attention back to the priestess in distress. "Ah yes yes. Snake people who spit venom, hypnotize weak willed folk, and can shapeshift." He said to cover that he had only been half-listening to the description and dangers of lamias while he was reminiscing good memories. Lamias were dangerous but they've faced worse foes...like that giant centipede woman or those five zombonis. And that was when they were severely under-levelled to boot!

But underestimating the threat is a good way to die fast, so Raime took note that these lamia must have good reason to live in the deep fog and not be wiped out by the other denizens of that nightmarish land. He'd look to Amulak as he was the only one who managed to reach the Blasphemed Tunnels in the group that he knew. "Hey. Did you see anything suspicious in the tunnel when you got the...class? Particularly something snake people-y kind of suspicious?" He said in a hushed tone. He wasn't sure how NPCs would react to the knowledge that there was a necromancer immortal amidst them and he didn't want to find out while they were in the middle of the city.

"Well would you look at that...the beastfolk has some integrated magitek." Leo says as he casually strides off the elevator platform as the beastfolk's apparent partner chides her for such a display of recklessness. More and more the hunters arrived to the bottom of the chasm. Leo would have wanted to throw a polite hand wave to those who were just arriving but the soft glow further within the tunnel piqued his curiosity. It could be nothing but luminescent crystals or fungi...but he also heard of beasties that would use light to lure in unsuspecting prey straight to their hungry jaws. And being prepared never hurt anyone.

Calmly drawing his rifle from its slung position over his shoulder, he observes proper gun handling etiquette but keeps his thumb ready on the safety just in case something looking for a meal decides to give them a warm welcome.

"Let me reiterate. I'll be joining the Ryouku-Jo to help with the stump and maybe help get that sweet steampunk samurai class I heard of yesterday. BUT I won't be leaving the party anytime soon. You can't get rid of me that easily. If it helps put your minds at ease, I can hold off joining until we finish what we want to do. Sound good?" The scout says with a gentle smile adorning his face. He could understand the mild animosity against Lew after he decided to part ways with them after something bad occurred between him and Ari. But he was a free spirit and if they kept up with Mags' chaotic nature for this long, who is to say they couldn't tolerate Lew's drama? But regardless of how Raymond felt, it would be unlikely that the dark haired man would be joining them anytime in the foreseeable future.

A feminine voice broke the silence. Raising alarm as the NPC shrine maiden used their Discord usernames instead of their character names in game. He felt no shame though. Rayman was a defining part of his childhood and is in no way embarrassed to be a fan of the franchise. But this Karan woman introduced herself and relayed the bad news of Lew getting into some shit that would have caused their former frontline tank to die or something raised concern within the scout. "Would you kindly clarify to what kind of trouble Lew is in?"

Not even in the chasm proper, it seemed like the tunnel would claim its first victims. Tunnel didn't even throw monsters or environmental hazards at them yet. He didn't know what got into the beastfolk girl when she leaped feet first into the abyss, but he was surprised to see the red haired thug actually go out of his way to try and save the seemingly suicidal cat-eared beastfolk. "Hmm. Leaping in to save another without a moment's hesitation? Noble. Very Foolish...but surprisingly selfless." He may have misjudged the boorish youth.

Just as he was to offer a prayer to the gods for the peaceful rest of the two dearly departed hunters, he noticed the chains that controlled the elevator suddenly go taut a few moments after the youth leaped to his apparent demise. "Huh...maybe not dead after all." Leo mused as he thought of the possibility that the younger man actually managed to save the girl and reached for a chain to mitigate the fall. He chuckled at the incredulousness of the possibility.

A sudden jolt of the platform. Then the rattling of chains accompanied by the mechanical noises of moving gears shook him out of his tittering. The elevator had been activated and was lowering him into the inky abyss.

The lower the elevator descended, more and more, the sun's rays refused to enter the chasm. Ominous. But spooky atmosphere aside, it was getting quite dark. Dark enough for the enchantments in his mask's lenses to react accordingly to the light level. Though he could see better in the dim light of the lower chasm, it limited his vision to roughly ten meters and reduced the visible spectrum to shades of grey. Not exactly a debilitating disadvantage but he did miss seeing further or color for that matter.

But looking on the bright side, he saw the base-jumping duo no worse for ware.

The sight garnered an impressed whistle from Leo. It baffled the armored hunter how they both managed to survive the lengthy drop unscathed. He expected the redhead to have a few broken bones or dislocations but there they were. Standing nonchalantly as if they didn't just cheat death. "Fuck...I owe both of you a drink if we get back alive." the man said with a hidden smile as the elevator finally reached the bottom.
