You may call me Sephie, as most people do. I am indeed female, and I have a few years experience of roleplaying. I'm an artist, aiming for a professional career somewhere in art, so all of my OC's are a little...imaginative XD let's just say that I gotta draw my own pictures for almost all of them. I like a lot of detail.
I'm also a writer at heart, so if I really let loose, some of my replies in a roleplay can get pretty lengthy. I'm a complete fantasy roleplayer, but I like things on the creepy, slightly violent, action-packed, and dramatic side. With some humor added in there too, of course.
I love anime and manga, and I am currently learning Japanese through odd methods of self-teaching (mostly anime and vocaloid songs ^w^"). I love cats, and you're gonna see that a lot in my characters. One of my favorite animes is Soul Eater, closely followed by Elfen Lied and Higurashi. I love playing Pokemon as well, and I'm pretty good at it too. I spend most of my days drawing, listening to music, watching stuff on youtube and playing video games (when I'm not smothered in homework, that is.)
Hehe, you were probably expecting someone else to respond, but consider me an unofficial co-GM of this RP. The GM herself is currently restarting her computer, so I'm filling in for her in the meantime. ^^
It has been several years, a little over a decade since the famous exploits of teams, from Team Rocket to Team Flare, have ended. There are still criminals out there, but after so many repeated failures in history, none of them are very organized, or if they are, they aren't very big.
In the progression of history, people have received a rude awakening. It seems now that slowly, through the years of peril, and the many different but still similar experiences with these events and criminal teams, Pokemon have gained new awareness of the world. With the long period of calm without these big teams, the knowledge and understanding of the Pokemon has come full circle. They all realize now how people treat them, how they might be friends, or slaves, or tools. Some choose to stand by their trainers no matter what the cost. Some decide to take action against the trainers, and humans altogether, for what they have done. Some still decide to stay neutral, aiding whoever provides the better deal for them. Where are your Pokemon?
In the "Age of Awareness", as it was dubbed by the Pokemon, almost all of them gained the ability to speak as humans do. Pokemon were split between "The Trained" (those who stand by trainers), "The Revolutioneers" (those who fight for Pokemon, and Pokemon alone), and "The Scattered" (those with no purpose to fight for, rogues and those who are neutral). The Revolutioneers have currently been on a steady rise. In attempt to get more attention, they have made their tactics more ruthless. Their leader, a powerful being unknown to many human eyes, will stop at nothing to achieve his goal, even if it means torturing his own soldiers to keep their support with him.
Any hope now remains with the trainers, and those Pokemon who have still not turned to the darkness in their hearts. Those Pokemon can be found anywhere, and so can those trainers. Who knows? You might find some unlikely allies along the way. Regardless, only a group-led effort of some kind can bring peace between Pokemon and humans once more, and keep the powers of both from tearing the land asunder...
This RP is pretty free-form, plot-wise. Some plot threads do concern all characters, but you have plenty or room to make your own as well with the setting provided! Human characters with some magical powers are allowed, and Pokemon aren't restricted to 4 moves like in the games- they can use any of the moves that they can realistically know in the games without cheats or events. Other details you need to know are posted in the OOC in the rules section. Anyone is welcome, as long as they follow the rules, and have me or my co-GM ShadowVentus approve their character before starting. The link is posted here-
"No one knows what truly lies inside of that place...you've been warned."
A whisper here, a growl there, floors creaking in much too neat of a sequence right behind your path to just be the house settling. Eyes in the dark seem to watch, some hostile, some not. The air is cold, no matter how warm it could be outside. The top floor of the house has but one room, where a figure is always seen...but no one has ever reached that floor, and come back to tell the tale. All of these things and more can be found, even experienced, in the abandoned Lavenshade Mansion in the middle of Shinkuro Woods. The people of the town nearby, called Negloria Town, sent out this report and warning of the mansion, and the possible curses it contained, before they all vanished. It is said that perhaps they fled the town to escape from the reach of whatever lurks within the mansion...but there's only one way to find the real answer out now. The primary focus of all those who go into the mansion, provided they aren't ghosts, demons, or angels themselves, is to piece together everything that happened, find the truth, and help release the souls in that mansion from whatever keeps them there so strongly. Each individual soul you meet has something, a story, a clue, a small tidbit that could help you put the puzzle together, and find out why this extravagant mansion fell to ruin, why it has become a purgatory-like prison for souls, and why everyone in Negloria Town suddenly vanished. Every single being you'll meet within this mansion is a ghost, demon, or an angel (though, about 87% of the residents are ghosts). Some are quite friendly, and would be glad to tell you what they know and how they got to be like they are today. Others, however, require something first, maybe a favor, something connecting them to their lives, before they can tell you anything. Still others will try to kill you, or at the very least drive you out, because of their own anger. One being in particular in that mansion you will meet, a little girl, seems to be the only living person there...but is there something up with her as well?
If you dare to enter the Mansion, you may find out ;3
Since this RP revolves mostly around the mysteries and tales of the ghosts who live there, and we've already started, it might be best if anyone joining read what we've posted on there so far, just to make sure they're up to speed. You don't have to, but if you don't some clues or stories that connect to others may come as more confusing and catch you off guard. That being said, anyone is welcome as long as they're willing to abide by the rules posted in the OOC, and have me or my co-GM ShadowVentus approve their character before starting! Here's the link to the RP-
The world this all takes place in is known as Shava. Contained within this world are portals to a plethora of different dimensions. Our guide and narrator in this world is a being known as Fedora-man, who may be summoned at will through the process of burning both an icy wing from a frost bat and the fang of a timber wolf. Periodically, he will send everyone on missions, so it's best to be wary at most times. Don't spend too long settling into the Shave Hotel, your current living quarters, for it may not be too long before a mission is handed down to you. Remember: teamwork is key.
The RP itself is fairly free-range in topic. I mean, yes, you'll get missions from the REAL creator of the RP (my co-GM Snarfulblast made the first one, but asked me to remake it to correct a few things), but between those, there's plenty of room for you to create your own sub-plots. If you're interested, I'll put the link here for you to read some of what we've got on there already. Make sure your character is approved by me or Snafulblast before starting! ^w^
